Pheelz2020:
hello guys,
pls i need ur assistance...

NOUN confirmed that they have received my transcript.
they said i should go to my study center and continue with documents verification,
note; i had this done long before my transcript was sent, they even opened 3 files for me.

i called a contact at my study center and he said; " they can't login to their server due to shut down caused by this corona palava.

pls, my question is; how can i get my matric number and go ahead with my course registration?

pls, any ideas....
Please call again and confirm. I doubt the authenticity of that "server is shutdown". Same login for generating matriculation number is the one that drops courses and someone just dropped some courses for me today. If he has said he can login but can't verify you cos it's not available at the moment, it will be more understandable. I am aware some functionalities on the portal haven't been working for a while though. Example, have been trying to proceed after payment for new applicant for days now and it keep saying "NOT READY".
My advice is for u to reach another person and try to confirm.

Thanks for the guideline.
But can we proceed with the registration on our own or we need to visit a nysc accredited Cafe for the registration?
You will have to visit a cafe because of the Thumb print.

okay. Do you think they will respond to the letter on time? or if this didn't work I can still go ahead starting as a new student?
Thanks for your time.
They will HOPEFULLY. haven't you completed any semester before?
NB
I thought u had attempted registering on the portal
Do it here
https://www.nouonline.net/stuser_reg.php

If you see "your name doesn't exist of the programme." that is when you have to write the Academic Registry.
Cheers.

Its saying incorrect USERNAME and Password.

I used my Matric number as login details. Is there something I am doing wrong?
Username: matriculation number
Password : matriculation number (in lower case)
Example:
Username nou123456789
Password nou123456789
U will be required to change password.
If it doesn't go, then u wait let them update the database. If it persists, you will have to send email to CEAGS.

Can someone help me out, please?

I'm unable to access my old Noun account (2014/2015), had to stop running the programme in 2016 due to some challenges.
Whenever I input my matric no and password it says " it doesn't exist".

Is there any way to retrieve my account or do I have to start afresh?....TIA
You will have to provide evidence and a letter written to the Academic Registry before you will be added back to the programme. Thanks.
Family › Re: I’m Pregnant For My Sister's Brother-In-Law. I’m Scared To Tell My Sister by Enskynelson(m): 10:45pm On Mar 23, 2020
Ngozey:
I don’t know how to start, am very scared right now. I don’t know what to do about this pregnancy.

Actually I stay with my sister, her husband, her baby and her husband's brother who is a year younger than me. We have been sleeping together for sometimes now. Am now 8 weeks pregnant.

I told him he said I should abort before people find out. We went to the hospital together to remove it but the money they are asking us is too much. We are students depending on my sister and brother in law. We are both stuck and confused. Am scared if my sister comes to find, out she will send me back to the village. I don’t want to go back.

I need help please on what to do about it. The pregnancy is only 8 weeks, please no insult.
So, you want Nairalanders to contribute money for u to run the abortion or what? What kind of help do you want from us really?

o.k, thank you sir. So now , l can not proceed for the screening until my transcripts have been send to them?
Exactly. Until sent to them and they send you an email that you have been successfully given the admission.

AASMART:
Please help, l just bought the online form #7500 for pgde program but l have not went for the screening yet in my choosing centre due to the situation on ground now, Is there any hope for me to be giving admission? Since all tertiary institutions are closed now
Have u filled the form? If u have? Next step is to apply to your Alma mater for your transcripts to be sent directly to NOUN PG School. Then you wait for their mail notifying you of your admission before your proceed to the Study Centre. It's most likely that you will only be able to meet up with coming semester and not the current semester.

Good evening my fellows,
Please, l need advice about PGDE in NOUN. How good is the program in NOUN compare to PGDE in NTI?
Both are good. If you are busy, choose NOUN. If you will need face to face lectures, choose NTI. The NTI PGD.E programme is affiliated to NOUN. So, by value, both are same.

Please can you shed more light on this?

I got my matric number for PGD Economics on Wednesday, after receiving email from PG school Abuja to proceed to my study centre for clearance.

I have done portal registration and semester registration, now stuck at course registration because it keep saying no course available for this level.

With what you've said that means the registration I did is void and I would have to do another payment come second semester.

Please can you clarify this more.
You haven't been following up this thread. It is true newly introduced courses won't commence this semester.
Along with the memo, they said they will refund those who have registered for the semester. So, hopefully, your money will be returned back to your wallet.
On a second thought, you may as well write a letter to that effect through your SCD for the money to be returned back to your e-wallet.

suffice it to say that those of us whose admission process had not been completed till date have lost this semester. we shld just put our mind to whenever next semester starts because tma1 n probably 2 may have ended b4 students wld b recalled
NOUN staff are still supposed to go to work and discharge their duties. The only kind of duties suspended are those that requires direct contact with students which in my best understanding, the admission process is not among. Even the TMA1, the Management is quite aware of the fact that there are still students just being admitted. I am sure they will do something about it.
Don't lose hope o.

Pls explain a bit. I thought it was supposed to be distance learning? Is there anything in particular to stop someone from studying from abroad? Like IP address restrictions? what if someone starts in Nigeria then after one session the student relocates abroad, but can come in just for the exams? Is that still gonna be an issue?
All the examinations are taken at the designated Study Centres and not just anywhere. Right now, there are no such centres outside Nigeria.

Yes you can, provided you have thoroughly gone through your course materials before then. But that won't be nice since you still have more than a week +. Why rush all in a day?

please how do you do GST TMA? I have changed my password and not seen any icon with a header to commence tma on the sit?
Select any course
First, complete the required 'task'. You are mostly required to view the PDF courses (open the link and go back) for all the lessons before the TMA.
That automatically unlocks the TMA for you to make your attempt.
