Do you know that average Nigerian artiste worships Olisa like a god just because they want to get rotations of their songs On Air?

I have read and listened with dismay and dejection several abusive speeches hulled on musician and Punch Newspaper Columnist, Etcetera by perceived ‘respected’ On Air Personalities, Freeze of Cool/Wazobia FM and Olisa Adibua of Beat FM; over an article the former wrote in The Punch Newspaper with headline, ‘On Air Personalities you Have Finally Killed Radio’  [Read Here].

I must say, I am disappointed in both Olisa and Freeze. Olisa especially, due to his age and personality, for his unguarded speech on a national TV programme, NigezieTV-Extra, when he repeatedly said, “Etcetera is a nobody, Etcetera is a nobody”.

First, let me make it very clear that the biggest problem of this generation of Nigerians is the feeling that they are above criticisms. But if I may ask, who really is above Criticisms? Doesn’t criticism make all of us better persons?

Secondly, Etecetera pinned nobody’s name to the article under discuss and in my opinion does not deserve this manner of abuses they (Olisa, Freez including those who will join the cue) are hulling on him.

Talking about OAPS assuming celebrity statuses and the monopoly of Nigerian Radio, Olisa Adibua in particular from an investigation I carried out privately on him as a journalist, is allegedly guilty of the ‘crime’.

Do you also know that Olisa Adibua is alleged to collecting as much as a million naira and more to play artistes’ songs on his programme, ‘Morning Rush’ on Beat FM? I was at an Island restaurant one day when some artistes, (names withheld) were lamenting their experience with Olisa just to have their songs played on air… “It’s even difficult for him to notice you. If for whatever reason he wants to listen to you, you must come with at least a bottle of expensive Rozay, his brand of drink then the discussion can continue from there. Of course, money must change hands o and not small money”, one of them said as they all laughed over it.

Note: these artistes in the company of some other guys are all known Nigerian artistes. The discussion was taking place the same time I dashed into the restaurant to have my launch.

Now, talking of OAPs assuming celebrity status themselves, while I’ll state it here that it may not be wrong to do that, but you would agree with me that even though Olisa falls victim of it, Freeze has a distinction in the act. Countless of times, an OAP under paid employment would talk about his material possessions on social media; his fleet of cars (Tokunbo cars), without thinking of the influence on young ones who see him as a ‘role model’

…And the reporter asked, “When you say a collection, how many are you talking about?” Not like how many, like how much. I have maybe $200,000 in wristwatches. What I am wearing now is a Rolex Daytona, I got it from Polo for Christmas. It cost about $30,000. Polo is Nigeria’s only authorised dealer, so I bought it from the company and I love it”.

Those were the words of Freeze who also on several occasions displays his so-called ‘wealth’ on Social Media…I make bold to say that both Freeze and Olisa are bad role models to this generation and the next generation of young ones.

Without mincing words, gone are the days when young ones listen to radio in Nigeria and aspire to be presenters and On Air Personalities in future… Who wouldn’t love radio, when the likes of Femi Sowoolu, Dan Foster, Andre Blaise-Henshaw, et al…are dissecting topical issues on radio? Check out their choice of songs, they tend to corroborate with topic under discuss, unlike what is obtainable today.

If you are a good radio listener in Nigeria, let me ask you, how many times have you heard an unpopular song by a young artiste and probably ask, “Who sang that song”? Rather in many Nigerian radio stations all you find is a monopoly. All you keep hearing are the same type of songs during different programs and thereby killing the urge of radio listenership. I have heard most adults claiming that radio listenership is for children and jobless people while a chunk of others resort to the available and see it as the desirable.

How many times do you hear real human angle issues being discussed in some top Nigeria radio stations?

In a survey, I discovered that there are at least eight artistes whom most Nigeria OAPs must play their songs daily. While I won’t mention names you can guess and get their names right.

Thanks to the management of Wazobia/Cool fm for breaking the jinx of radio monopoly and giving young artistes a chance and an opportunity to be heard on radio.

These days if you notice, Wazobia FM is the station where you hear jams from young artistes more often, while some other stations (names withheld) are where you hear ‘strictly’ songs of ‘deep pocket’, ‘money miss road’ top artistes who pay OAPs per second billing.

It is quite nauseating that some Nigerian OAPs who are busy displaying their ‘wealth’ on social media still live in rented Lekki apartments; some can’t even comfortably renew their rents without lobbying.

For the sake of emphasis, Olisa may I ask you, ‘What is your definition of success’? Is success measured by just the amount of money in your bank account? Or by the number hit records an artiste has to his credit? If any of those are your definition of success then you need to go back to KG 1.

For your information success has several definitions, but I will spare you three different definitions from various sources. 1) The accomplishment of an aim or purpose. 2) The good or bad outcome of an undertaking. 3) The achievement of something desired or planned.

Now let me tell you Olisa, as individuals we all have different ways of measuring our successes. For instance, Many On Air Personalities are successfully married with children and you are not and I don’t think you will soon. At almost fifty, most of your colleagues are becoming grand-daddies; you are still parading your over-sized trousers with your cigar all over the streets of Lagos in chase for God knows what.

And as for you Freeze, at your age, some of your colleagues, (I won’t mention names) live in their own houses and are good mentors; however all you do is snitch all over the place in your place of work seeking for favours from your employer. Little wonder a colleague of yours whom you almost ruined his appointment at Cool FM threatened to deal ruthlessly with you if dare gossip with his name again, yet you have the effrontery to call someone a non-entity?

Guys, you both (Olisa and Freeze) need to grow up and learn to guide your ‘sharp tongues’.

I have no business with Etcetera, however, I had to do this piece because I feel its high time we put an end to this spirit of ‘I’m above criticisms’ which is gradually consuming Nigerians. This article ends here, you are free to abuse the hell out of me, but a word they say is enough for the wise… ‘akam adiro kwia’ in my mother-tongue.

King David is born…

In early 2011, a young, upcoming artiste David Adeleke made his entry into the Nigerian music scene. Three years later, he can proudly boast of being Africa’s biggest artist. Truthfully, it’s taken Davido less than three years to attain such status; his journey started out in May 2011 when he released his first official single ‘Back when’ featuring a stunning verse from Naeto C.

The song was mildly accepted by critics and was just enough to get him the attention he needed at the time. And thus began the then 19-year-old’s journey to superstardom; he seemed to have the perfect team – a young and zealous manager – Asa Asika, a hit making producer - Shizzi, a lively crew/hype-men - B.Red and Sina Rambo, and a whole lot of money.

Talking about money; chatter and buzz around Davido increased when it was discovered that his father was billionaire businessman Deji Adeleke. He was immediately tagged a ‘trust fund kid.’ Davido didn’t seem bothered and didn’t shy away from his privileged background; his follow up single ‘Dami Duro’ drummed his wealthy status into our minds. The song immediately shot him up to the A-list category, a well-envied and sought-after status occupied by top acts like Psquare, D’banj, 2face Idibia and another young star Wizkid. He morphed into ‘Omo baba olowo,’ the rich kid who planned to dominate the music industry. The ‘rich-boy-trying-to-do-music’ status stuck with Davido, with many saying the singer used money to bum-rush his way into the Nigerian entertainment scene.

Some said with the help of payola, he was able to get his music and videos heavy rotation on radio and TV. But David didn’t seem to care; not budging or backing down, he continued pushing out more material – in the space of nine months, he had released more material than his peers, performed at more shows, got more spins, and his career grew rapidly. It could best be described as accelerated growth; never had this been done before.

Shortly a year after his 2011 debut, the comparison with fellow Pop star Wizkid (who had blown up a year earlier) began. The two were compared on all fronts – talent, label strength, financial stance, and lifestyle. Tension between both acts increased their competition, with each one trying to outdo the other. Appealing to the same market, it looked like Davido had come to replace Wizkid.

In April 2012, Davido went on to sign an endorsement deal with MTN worth N30m. Then people started to take him seriously.

In July 2012, he released his highly anticipated debut album ‘O.B.O: The Genesis’. Despite the huge marketing budget put behind it, the album was received with mixed reviews, with many saying the record fell below expectations. It only spurred Davido on. He went on to release multiple singles off the album and shot videos for every single one of them, unrelenting despite critics labeling him a ‘flash in the pan.’ In 2013, he released a new single ‘Gobe’; it became an instant hit – the club friendly tune was on everyone’s playlist – young and old. By this time, the public’s general opinion started to change: ‘He may actually be talented.’

The father-of-four designed the collection himself. ‘I genuinely enjoy the creative process with H&M and we have had fun this time playing with colour and texture. I hope people like them as much as I do’, he says. The structure and function of penis made incredibly simple
Introduction
Penis is the external male sex organ used to copulate and ejaculate semen and to convey urine outside the body. The penis is the counterpart of the clitoris in the female.  In Latin, the word “penis” originally meant “a tail.” The Latin “penis” is related to the verb pendere meaning “to hang down.” 
The penis is a wonder of nature, a pleasure receptor so perfect it has no doubt inspired many of the myths of man due to its seeming intelligent design. It is, at times, remarkably sensitive and protuberant, and at others durable and discreet.
Structure of penis
a) Glans: The head of the penis is normally shiny and supple. It is the highly innervated and sensitive homologue to the female clitoris. The glans is really an internal organ except during sexual arousal, when it emerges from the prepuce. The surface of the glans is not skin, but mucous membrane, like the inside of the lips. In circumcised men, the mucous membrane becomes keratinized; which is to say dried, thickened, and insensitive – in a word, calloused.
The ridge where the glans blends with the shaft of the penis is called the corona. Even in circumcised men, the corona is very sensitive, if not ticklish, during arousal.
b) Frenulum: The frenulum is a very elastic connective tissue joining the ventral (under) side of the glans to the skin tube. During arousal the frenulum is so sensitive that persistent light flicking of only this area is sufficient to bring most men to orgasm. After arousal subsides, the frenulum pulls the prepuce skin back into place over the glans, protecting the glans from the drying effects of air and whatever the penis might come into contact with (clothing, bedding).

c) Inner Skin: Just below the corona is a region known is the inner skin or pink skin. Like the glans, this area only sees daylight during arousal, and is protected by the skin tube at other times. In the circumcised penis, more than half of the pink skin is typically removed.
The pink skin has sebaceous glands which exude natural emollients. These fight bacteria and keep the skin soft and sensitive. When combined with dead skin cells, the emollients make up a natural compound known as smegma. Smegma can be rinsed away with clear water (not soap – avoid dissolving the protective emollients) if desired. It has a musky aroma, not dis-similar to that associated with female Instruments. If any type of cleanser is to be used it should be a non-soap liquid like Cetaphil.
d) Skin Tube: The main shaft of the penis is covered by a folded tube of skin. This area is less sensitive than the pink skin. In a circumcised man, the base of the shaft area includes hair-bearing skin that would have otherwise been on the scrotum or pubic mound. Hairiness migrates up the shaft due to a lifetime of tension from erections. Intact men have no coarse hairs on the penis shaft.
e) Prepuce: The prepuce is the portion of inner and outer skin that covers the glans. Also known as the foreskin, this (along with most of the frenulum typically) is what is removed in circumcision. The leading edge of the prepuce where it folds back contains specialized nerve receptors, sometimes called J-cells that respond to being straightened.
f) Erectile Tissue: Within the shaft of the penis are three chambers of erectile tissue that engorge with blood during arousal. These are rooted deep within the body, so that the true length of the penis is a few inches more than what is seen externally.
g) Urethra: The urethra is the duct that carries urine and semen from the body. It runs just under the frenulum, and this area (about an inch down from the glans) is (in not everyone’s opinion) the male homologue to the center of gravity. Just as in the female center of gravity, the urinary ductwork is present, and just as in the female it responds to a deep kneading stimulation, but only at a moment of very thorough arousal.

Wizkid recently posted photos of himself hanging out with some of the biggest music stars in the city. Davido who’s in town for the BET Awards holding this weekend was pictured with rapper Meek Mill and singer Jennifer Hudson. ‘Las nite was a movie !! Thx for a great time big bro! @Meekmill’, Davido wrote on his Instagram page. He also described Hudson as a ‘great person’. Davido is nominated in the ‘Best African Act’ category alongside Tiwa Savage and Mafikizolo at the BET Awards 2014....

Gallas haircut on ur wedding day as a guy would do that?


RnB/Soul singer Bez Idakula is kicking off 2014 with his wedding to Bolatito Ladoja, the daughter of one-time Oyo State governor Rasheed Ladoja.

There were initial reports that Bez would tie the knot with his beau back in June 2013. The ‘Supersun’ singer however never confirmed or denied the reports.

The marriage ceremony kicked off today (January 4, 2014) with a Church wedding and will be followed by a traditional wedding reception holding at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island.

Bolatito Ladoja is a banker with FCMB. She is also a graduate of International Relations from Warwick University in the U.K, with a Masters in Management from Imperial College, London.

Kollington Ayinla sells property to treat Reports have it that veteran Fuji Musician Kolington Ayinla is battling a ‘strange illness’ and has put up some of his landed property for sale, in other to raise money to pay for treatment .

The ‘Ijo Yoyo’ singer in a recent interview with Encomium Weekly said, ‘It is a strange ailment, it’s spiritual. That’s the best way of describing it. But I thank God that I am still alive’.
Ayinla also blamed his poor health condition on the state of the Nigerian economy;

‘My health condition has been worsened by the poor economic situation of Nigeria, nothing is working. Everything is paralysed. I kept thinking to the extent that I wanted to sell my property. If the government had not turned everything upside down, people like me are not supposed to be suffering likes this’.

EDP learnt that the Fuji singer had also sold his old fish depot (which he has owned for over 25 years), situated along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, Lagos in other to treat an initial ailment.

The news of Ayinla’s illness follows a growing trend of older Nigerian artistes and actors battling several medical conditions.

Ayinla is one of the most popular Fuji artistes who shot to fame in the late 80s and early 90s with several hit albums like ‘Kasabubu’, ‘Ijo Yoyo’ and ‘Kaya’.

After making his first appearance in his homeland in late November 2013, rapper Wale Folarin will be returning to Nigeria next week for another show performance. And he will be accompanied by US rapper Kendrick Lamar!

Both rappers are billed to perform at the debut edition ‘Rap, Rhythm and Rhymes‘ event holding at the Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 27, 2013. Organizers say the show will also feature performances from some top Nigerian acts.

The show will be hosted by radio presenters  - Beat FM’s Jimmie and Cool FM’s Dotun. Deejays on deck will be DJ Spinall and DJ CK from Birmingham.

The show is put together by Aeroplay, a music management and logistics label.

A few fans and well wishers who decided to visit Murtala Mohammed International Airport in anticipation of OJB Jezreel‘s return from India were a little dissappionted as the music producer didn’t turn up. Apparently, OJB has been in Nigeria since a week ago.

NET investigations have revealed that OJB and his wife Mabel Okungbowa arrived in Lagos on Saturday, November 30, 2013 without informing friends and his extended family. The news was confirmed to us by his music colleague and close friend Nomoreloss.

‘He’s been around since last Saturday‘, Nomoreloss told our correspondent yesterday (December 7, 2013).

We are told OJB and his family are not staying at his Surulere home for now as the house is still under renovation but are lodged in a hotel within the Surulere environ. He has however visited his house on two occasions.

Actors Kunle and Gabriel Afolayan yesterday shunned their brother and fellow actor Aremu Afolayan’s traditional marriage on Saturday December 7, 2013.

The marriage rites, we are told was held in Abuja (where Aremu recently resides) and was attended by a few friends. Colleagues and other family members were said to be missing from the ‘secret’ ceremony.

Tongues have been wagging, as many claim Aremu opted for a secret wedding because his bride is quite older than he is. The actor has for some time now been accused of being a gigolo.

We are also told that the other Afolayan brothers refused to attend the wedding because they have strongly condemned his Aremu’s relationship with older women. NET confirms that Kunle and Gabriel did NOT leave Lagos on the day of the wedding.

Meanwhile, the actor has been receiving congratulatory messages on social media.

NET tried contacting Kunle and Gabriel but the brothers did not reply our messages as at the time of this report.
