idpapa2006: Why do nigerians decieve urself, at the moment olamide is better, cuz presently he is the most featured artiste, and his ybnl album is most sold rap album @ d moment.....music iz nt abt language, while we where dancing to makossa,he was nt speakin english.....nd u sayin international market...der iz no international market outside nigeria, cuz u can neva be better dan rickross, lil wayne, eminem, jayz, nd odaz....itz only nigerians der dat will listen to ur song...all those hype wey una dey see na arrangement from choc city...but olamide is on his own.....most nigeria hip hop fans are here in nigeria....4 nw olamide iz on top...he has featured wit almost all nigeria artiste, nd he nw headline most shows, ice prince waz der b4 bt nt nw.....forget d language, nigerians knw gud music, one ibo man tell me one day say he dnt uunderstand wat olamide iz sayin but d rythem of his song shows he iz makin sense...datz iz simple gud music....You dont understand many things. Outside Nigeria, Iceprince is of course the bigger star. In Nigeria, Let us say Olamide sells N30 in lagos, N10 in the north and N5 in the east (i know they dont really like him there asides the yoruba -igbos, i think you understand that) Iceprince would probably sell N20 in lagos, N15 in the east and probably over N40 in the North. Who sold more eventually. i run a blog www. and i am running a marketing research, so what i am telling you is a confirmed news. Olamide is on top but basically just the lagos market (it is the biggest though). |
tony ayo: Ice prince and olamide. Na wah o, how una go compare ice and badoo, it's like comparing M.I and phyno, we all know that both of them are good as far as nigeria is concern, but how about the world. In nigerian market, badoo might be making market sells than ice, but what of out side nigerian market, or how do you guys compares them? Awards and global recognitions, ice prince is better, i love badoo more than ice, but badoo isn't better than ice, none of badoo's song has crossed africa.Well said, he does not even rule Nigeria. although Lagos (the south music market) is the biggest in which Olamide is very big there, maybe a little bigger than Ice Prince there.(just a little) but the other two markets too are very big too. The northern Market and Eastern Market Holds Ice Prince in High esteem, while the Yoruba Ngabti of Olamide is rarely tolerated. Ice Prince remains the better of the duo anytime due to the level of success as we cannot compare talents. |
How she feels about Angelo’s supposed girlfriend Candice I don’t want to talk abt his so called gf cos I don’t know anything abt her. Did u have sex in the house? I did not have sex with Angelo. I loved him and I still love him. I would get married to Angelo if I had the chance! You said nothing happened but I saw the bathtub scene! I’ll still say….Nothing happened between me and Angelo! I don’t love Dillish we’re just cool. If Stephen doesn’t exist…We never know! If a girl is not married then she’s still free for everybody. Sometimes I just wonder why people seems to remember a rap track and the rapper and forget the person who took the hook/chorus. Cry by Mode 9 was a mega hit in Nigeria yet people fail to same credit that goes to Mode 9 to Nnena. This is not a gender thing. More recently, Ice Prince got most of the credit for Oleku, but Byrmo was ‘sick’ on that hook. Ladies and Gentlemen i present to you Nnena Omali. The last of five children, Nnenna Chinwe Ezeakunne also known as Nnena Omali hails from Uga village in Anambra State, Nigeria. She is a singer, writer of poetry and prose, composer. Nnena found herself being raised by her mother, a retired nurse from whom she strongly believes she got her musical talents from. A college graduate in Estate Management from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, she writes articles that have been published in the men’s lifestyle magazine Mode Men. The Music Life By the age of ten, Nnena already had a catalogue of songs in her scrap book and a dream to one day become a musician. She was also a member of a gospel group she formed with three of her friends in secondary school. The group split before her teen years. In Enugu, the town of her birth, she began work on her demo in 2002 and managed to let out a single or two but it was a year later that a chance meeting with Gbenga Sokefun an artist manager launched a new phase in her career. Sokefun (elder sibling to T.Y. Bello), was then the manager of the now defunct gospel group KUSH, that had the likes of Lara George, Emem, Dapo Torimiro and T.Y. What prompted the music promoters’ interest was her album length demo, Enrapture. Nnena’s first single Missing (produced by Melman of Dr. Dre’s Aftermath organization) was played on radio with good rotation. Nnena writes her own songs, plays the guitar and presents her material in English and two major Nigerian languages, Igbo and Yoruba. Since 2004, she has played numerous events as a solo act including : MTN Y’ellow Fest, Star Mega Jam, Hip Hop World Awards, Nigeria Television Fashion Show, Lyricists Lounge, Colossal Entertainment Live Revolution, Rhythm Unplugged, Miss World University Nigeria, Felabration, Mode Men Black Nite, Style Nite, Nigeria’s Next Super Model and so on. A stint with former Rhythm 93.7 OAP, Shola Thompson’s late night program, Rhythms Of The Nite as a guest relationship analyst was instigated by her She column in the magazine, Mode Men. - from wikipedia Signed to Question Mark Records in 2004, the young “Afro Fusion” songstress had faced many a tribulation in her career. With regards to her music career, she had this to say: “In my musical journey, I’ve battled with unforeseen delay, disappointments, unmet expectations and yes, I’ve seen hardship. But in all these things I’ve come out stronger and intrepid. In a sort of funny peculiarity, even peril provided leeway for diverse messages in my writings. For instance, my latest release, “Palava” was a song written in righteous anger and it’s getting splendiferous love.” So far has released “Kissed”, an acoustic ballad reminiscent of the likes of Asa; “Palava” which is more upbeat and expressive; and “Kulie Dile” featuring 9ice . We have yet to scrape the surface of what Nnena Omali has to offer. I can’t wait to hear more from her. Connect her on twitter @NNENA_OMALI For now, here are her singles. Enjoy! One of you cheats. Extra-marital affair is a strict no-no and ruins family life. It’s an unpardonable mistake and means the end of a marriage. Although we all love to be happily married, couples often find themselves caught off guard when a marriage breaks. The reasons may range from silly to serious. It happens in the most unexpected way. Only when you face the situation do you actually begin to think back and realise if you missed the warning signs. Here are a few situations that suggest trouble in your marriage 1. Digging up the past, name calling, verbally abusing and belittling in-laws have almost become common for you two. 2. Both look for silly excuses to fight. You try avoiding each other and don’t look forward to coming back home anymore. Even a trivial complaint turns into a bitter fight. You feel there’s no workable solution in sight. 3. Nothing is a joint decision anymore. There’s no logic behind your explanation. It’s simply a matter of ego to prove what you feel is right. 4. Jealousy creeps in. There’s no healthy competition anymore. It’s not at all fun to ask for guidance as you are belittled for your complete lack of knowledge or ignorance. You can’t take your spouse into confidence. 5. Your spouse can’t think beyond himself/herself. You feel like an outsider being neglected and unwanted. You don’t feel part of the family at all. It is no more our family but ‘my family’. This means danger! 6. One of you cheats. Extra-marital affair is a strict no-no and ruins family life. It’s an unpardonable mistake and means the end of a marriage. 7. Neither of you are inclined towards sex. It kind of becomes mechanical with absolutely no passion. Sex is something that keeps the marriage going. 8. You don’t seem to sort out issues then and there. Either of you is an escapist and avoids confrontation. You have bottled it all up and can’t wait for it to burst so you can put an end to your relationship. 9. No communication of any sorts. Forget the mushy notes and flower bouquet, your partner doesn’t bother asking ‘how are you’ in a mail or text message. When there’s total silence between the two of you and you run out of topics to talk, then your relationship has reached a dead end. Source |
Davido, Omo Baba Olowo himself is nothing short of your typical A-List Music star, churning out hits after hits. Probably one the few ones you would always want to be around as he has always been known to be a free spender. Being the only son to a business whom Dangote once said is the only Nigerian Business man he respects, I guess that explains it all. Mystro on the other hand is a young artiste/ producer, who might not be A list yet but definitely beyond the upcoming acts level, with several hits to his name, the sky seems to the starting point. Mind you I am not taking any glory as a singer or producer off Davido, but everybody knows him already. While Mystro can boast of a lot of creativity and originality in his works, I do not think Davido can. Back when, I mean back then, from, the mega hit, Dami Duro, Davido was a vapour, very far from being solid. Lack of lyrical strength was a major deficiency that song and mere repetition became the game, afterwards, the Gobe controversy. Pass word was not a kid in the industry as at then, having written super hit like Champion (sang by General Pype and the chorus was sang by password himself) and Style Na Style (Sang by Darey and 9ice). He wrote Gobe and sang it himself in 2011. Davido was said to have paid 500,000 thousand Naira to password for Gobe(unconfirmed). Now Skelewu and Skelebe. I am not for or against personalities here. I am for true talents with creativity and originality, the true talents with exceptional quality. There would have not being any controversy if Skelewu was before Skelebe, but with Davido’s previous pedigree, Skelewu could just be his version of Skelebe. I am not making any conclusion here. My point is with all this happenings, Should hype be a priority or Talent, Money or content. all the songs mention above and more are available here |

Burna Boy & Aristokrat Records are dancing to the bank after they reportedly sold the marketing rights for Burna’s debut album to ‘Alaba boys’. Popular Alaba marketer Uba Pacific is said to have bought the rights for the L.I.F.E album for a fee of N10million. According to Hip Hop World, Burna Boy’s album has been selling so fast that it has allayed the fears of UBA Pacific who was skeptical on paying such a huge amount for a new act. He reportedly sold 40,000 copies on the first day! In the last couple of years, marketers in Alaba have stopped paying artistes to secure marketing rights of their albums. They now prefer to split the royalties made from the sales of albums. source |
Vast of Nigerian music duo Bracket recently returned home to pomp and fanfare after successfully receiving treatment for cancer and beating the disease. The singer returned home last week and has now revealed that he was given a stern warning by his doctor. Vast was instructed by medical personnel to stay away from unprotected sex until the effects of the chemotherapy treatment he was given had worn off. The now healthy star tells all about his battle with cancer and the aftermath in an interview with Saturday Beats. Read excerpts below: “It all started when we went on an American tour and I started feeling feverish. I found myself taking my bath with hot water even on a very hot day. That was when I started noticing something was wrong. I noticed that whenever I drank alcohol, the fever would come in an aggressive way. I eventually went to a hospital in London. The doctor told me not to worry that everything would be fine. He said to start the treatment, they would have to do something that would allow them take something from my spine. It was a very painful procedure.” About how he felt when pictures of him looking ill surfaced: “When the picture leaked, we were not happy initially. I was very skinny but when I saw the response from the fans, I was shocked. I did not know people liked me that much. Trust me; there was a female fan that said that if I died, she was going to die. I nearly cried and said God, if you save me, I would make these people one of the happiest people on earth. That was why I went to the studio and began singing like I never did before. I took myself back to the days when we sang ‘Yori Yori’,” he said He also told Saturday Beats that the doctors warned him to stay away from unprotected sex for about three months. They said if he impregnates a girl, the baby may not form normally as he still has residues of the chemotherapy in his system. source

OROZONE: I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the top comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and I would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost I would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity. Next I would like to thank my parents. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next I would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that I need to get through the day. This is a special moment in my life and I would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that I will never forget. I just remembered a few other people I would like to thank; nairaland, the fish I caught in the third grade, my light in my room because I wouldn’t be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on nairaland, my house because without it I would be homeless, and last but not least I would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first comment on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how I did this, I would say, you can achieve anything you set your mind on. To all the kids out there reading this, I would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the top comment is amazing, Thank You Everyone!!!copied from a not just ok comment last year |
Lady Gaga claims her hip surgery in February has made her a better dancer. The ‘Applause’ singer narrowly avoided having a hip replacement after suffering a tear and breakage inside the joint, which was then corrected with surgery in February forcing her to cancel the remaining dates on her ‘Born This Way Ball’ world tour. Gaga’s right hip is now fully healed and she claims she is moving around the stage better than ever ahead of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday August 25, 2013. In an interview with UK station KISS FM, she said: ‘They actually re-sculpted my right hip … I have better rotation now. I’m actually a better dancer now than I was before!’ The 27-year-old pop superstar remained tight-lipped about the details of her opening show at the iconic music ceremony, but is excited to return to the stage. She said: ‘I’m so excited, I can’t wait, you can’t imagine how it felt for me to be away from the stage. ‘I don’t want to give too much away but it is the most physically challenging performance I’ve done, ever. We’ve been rehearsing for a very long time, I’ve been rehearsing every day until my feet bleed’. Gaga also dished on the details of her upcoming performance at London’s iTunes Festival in September and reassured fans they will finally hear the follow-up to her 2010 hit ‘Telephone’, which featured Beyonce. She explained: ‘It is surely coming, it’s surely coming and I am very excited to be filming it and doing it. One of the songs I’m actually playing at Round House is meant to be the continuation. I’m very, very excited, we’ve already written it, it’s going to be fantastic … I can’t wait.’ SOurce

Amy Winehouse‘s mother Janis is to going to do a parachute jump to mark what would have been her daughter’s 30th birthday in September. Janis, 58, will perform a parachute jump on September 29 to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. As well as making money for good causes, Janis – who is divorced from Amy’s father Mitch – also wants to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which she suffers from. She said: ‘When I was asked about taking part in the parachute jump I just said, ‘Why not?’ That’s my general outlook on life. ‘Life is short, live it! This is important to me as it will not only raise funds and awareness for the Foundation, but also will let people know that having MS doesn’t need to stop you doing anything you want.’ Janis’ parachute jump will be part of a month’s worth of celebrations – titled #Amys30 – taking place in September to remember Amy, who tragically died in July 2011 aged just 27. Channel 4 news reader Jon Snow will sing some of Amy’s songs at a karaoke-style event being held at the Gilgamesh restaurant and bar in Camden, north London, on September 13 – the evening before Amy’s birth date. Snow – who is a patron of the Amy Winehouse Foundation – will be joined by other star guests such as Mica Paris and David McAlmont at the event. There will be a host of other events and tributes held in Camden – where Amy lived – including the opening of an #Amys30 Pop Up shop selling limited edition merchandise and an Amy Walking Tour of Camden. I had a dream about Tonto last night... It started with me sitting on the couch, talking on the phone. She walked over to me and as she stood there, I caressed her leg, running my hands up her thigh, then up under her denim shorts to feel her sexy arse. My caresses instantly got her passion stirring and she leaned over to kiss me. I hung up the phone and she crawled on the couch over me, straddling me and kissing me deeper. We started to get more into it the more we kissed. My hands were roaming her body now, then caressing her neck and face as I slowly kissed her. I felt her moan softly in my mouth as she lowered herself a little more onto me, and start to grind against me, feeling how hard and excited I was. The next thing I knew, she was tugging at my shirt, pulling it up and over my head--then she ran her hands all over my chest as she continued to gyrate against me. My hands grabbed her hips, pulling her down against me, and then I slid them under her shirt, slowly caressing her side and along her back. She arched her back a little as my hands moved back around the front, up under her breasts. I gently massaged around them, lightly passing my fingers over her nipples, which were hard now and pressing out against the fabric of her bra. As I caressed her, she reached down and pulled her T-shirt up and off, tossing it aside. Then she gave me a sex-filled look as I undid her bra, sliding it down and dropping it to the floor. I took my time to view her gorgeous breasts, tracing my fingers along her areolas. Then I gently pinched and pulled at her nipples. I sat up, kind of on the edge of the seat cushion--we were still kissing, but now she was in my lap, with her legs wrapped around me and arms around my neck. I had my hands on her back, caressing her silky skin. I broke our kiss and start to kiss across her cheek, over to her ear, nibbling on it. Then, I slowly kissed down her neck, nibbling and licking as I did. I continued down along her shoulder, then back across along her throat, then back up to her other ear. Apparently she was enjoying the sensation, because I heard her softly moan as I kissed her. I kissed back down her neck, then down the front of her chest, down between her breasts, then circling around, working my way to one of her nipples. I kissed closer and closer, and then I flicked my tongue at her nipple, circling it, then sucking it into my mouth. She arched her back at this point, moaning a little louder, wanting more. I half stood up and then laid her down on her back on the couch. I knelt on the floor next to it and took one of her feet in my hands, as I massaged her foot, I leaned forward to kiss her ankle. Hmmmmmm... I continued to rub her leg as I slowly kissed up her calf as she lay there on the couch. As I started to kiss and lick my way along her inner thigh, she spread her legs a little more, her hands moved up over her head. I kissed slowly up her thigh, kissing, nibbling, and making little circles with my tongue. As I got closer, I noticed she had slid her hands down her side, down to her shorts. She moaned softly and started to push down on the waistband a little. Seeing her needed some help, I grabbed her shorts and helped her slide them down, over her hips, running my fingers down her long, silky legs and then dropped them on the floor.......We got into it and suddenly the sound of my Alarm which coincidentally happens to be the Impeccable "HI" by (Tonto Dike) woke me up from the dream. Tonto Dike owes me a night stand for that. Source |
1. She has a life- but it revolves around him! Men can't stand a woman who doesn't continue to enjoy her own hobbies and take care of her own responsibilities while in a relationship. When he becomes her entire world, it puts too much pressure on him. He feels like he's responsible for her happiness and sense of being fulfilled, which isn't fair to either person. 2. She acts the wicked witch. One of the biggest things men hate about women are the women who act rude, jealous, and bitchy towards other women. Criticizing other women's sense of style or fashion, among other things, is one of the top things men despise. Women who do this are unattractive and often do well at repelling men. 3. She can't fulfill herself. When a woman doesn't love and care about herself enough to have a fulfilled life without a man in it, she becomes very clingy and needy when a new man does enter her life. It is important to know this one thing. You can't hope to have any man love you, if you don't love yourself first. It is impossible. Without self love and respect you can't and won't receive it from any boyfriends permanently. Men hate a woman who is clingy and needy all of the time. 4. He is her emotional support. Tying into the above, men hate women who use him to lean on all the time. Yes, if something in your life goes wrong its okay to need someone for a little while. But on a regular basis your family and friends should be your 24/7 emotional support, not the boyfriend. 5. The compulsive shopper. There is little men hate more about certain women than the ones who must shop all of the time. When they can only think, breathe, and do shopping, severe irritation begins to set in with the man in her life. To be a well rounded woman means to have a wide variety of active hobbies and responsibilities both. 6. She's too independent. While independence is a quality men admire in a woman, taking it too far can cause more harm than good. Men need to be needed, to a point, to feel that they are a real part of your life. Men hate the overly independent woman because she accepts no compliments, acts indifferent, and makes no real space for a man in her life, even if there is a boyfriend in existence. 7. Jealousy, jealousy, jealousy. Men hate women who are jealous and act crazy because of it. The girlfriend who asks, "Do you think that girl is pretty?" is certainly not appreciated for it. It puts the man in a very bad lose-lose situation. Women who become jealous of other women and act rude, cold, or distant towards them and others because of it are quite unattractive to men. 8. The High Maintenance Woman. While at first this woman may be quite appealing by her dazzling looks and ultimate self confidence, all men will come to find this woman horrid. The high maintenance woman is not appreciated by men in the least. She is unable to act laid back, relaxed, and enjoy the company of other men and women without taking over the entire scene. She demands expensive gifts and pretty words in exchange for affection from her man, and seems fake and uncaring towards him. 9. The "femi-nazi". If you look around you, you will find that nearly all men believe women are equals. In today's world, this is the norm. However, there are still a select few women known as "femi-nazis", women who love to bash men while calling it what it really isn't. Men love women who love men, in general. Women who take pride in themselves by belittling men and making generalizations about them are unattractive, rude, and not favored by men. Or most other women, for that matter. 10. The hysterical, emotional woman. If there is one thing that men truly hate about women, its that many of them become emotional about absolutely everything. Be it a sappy movie, a broken nail, or the fact that they can't find their car keys, women go crazy over the little stuff often. No one is perfect, but a woman who is constantly in hysterics over every little problem or inconvenience will have no brownie points with the men she interacts with. Read More Here |

The South African house mate was evicted yesterday alongside Bimp. One major highlight of his stay was sex with the Nigerian vixen Beverly, who herself has been a source of controversy. Angelo who approach 5 of the ladies in the house, said during the eviction interview that Beverly kissed him first before he kissed Beverly. “I like Beverly because she is a strong woman and she would go for whatever she wants”. He also emphasised that his relationship with Beverly was initiated by Beverly, when asked if the relationship was initiated or induced. Although he stated he loved Beverly. When quizzed about why they fought he said, Beverly wanted more. “Beverly told me it has been over one week since we last did it (referring to the sex in the bathtub) but i said NO. I promised my mother i would not do such, so i can’t do it again”. After Angelo and Bimp were evicted yesterday, there remain 5 house mates including the Nigerian duo of Beverly and Melvin. She’s the perfect definition of TALENT, BEAUTY and BRAIN. Blessed with a melodious voice that reminds you of the soft whistling of the early morning birds that has the ability to wake up a worried mind, Aramide is a Nigerian Soul/Jazz artiste. She discovered the talents of singing and writing as a teenager and decided to nurture them. 10 minutes with this diva just gave me a perfect understanding of what God meant when He said *he dat finds a wife has found a good thing*.. She’s just adorable and homely… Enjoy: E.F: What’s hept you believing in your chosen path of career? ARAMIDE: I’ve always loved music and I’ve always been very determined to make it a success. Delays, queues and dawn flights can make the airport a wearisome place. But gift shop wizards in Japan have found the perfect solution for tired travellers – a foam pillow shaped like a woman’s lap. The contraption can be purchased at duty free shops in Tokyo and Narita International airports. Made to replicate the sensation a child would have resting their head on their mother’s lap, the pillow is said to offer similar comfort to men during stressful times – or when simply missing their mother. As well as being soothing for men, it is also a popular joke gift for travellers to bring home for their friends. ‘The lap pillow certainly stands out and we feel it is our duty to share with those that haven’t been to Tokyo or Narita International,’ says travel expert Oonagh Shiel of cheapflights.co.uk, who spotted the product on sale during one of her trips away. ‘Sometimes all you really want is a home comfort close at hand; and what could be better than a pack-away lap to soothe those occasional bouts of homesickness?’ Also sold on Japan Trend Shop, the comfy accessory is described in the blurb with the words: ‘soft and elastic to the touch, and perfectly suited to lying your head on. You’ll be surprised at how comfortable and real it feels!’ Kneeling ‘in Japanese-style’, the Hizamakura Lap Pillow recreates the warm and comfortable sensation of laying your head on a woman’s lap, be it mother or partner. Made of polyurethane the cushion is clothed in a polyester skirt that comes in either black or red. It is not the only comforting pillow to hit the market either. A few months ago Femail reported on the man-shaped Boyfriend Pillow, on sale to comfort all single women. It is only fair that now the men get one too. more pix here
