Rave of the moment, Kiss Daniels, who is currently enjoying a lot of attention with his smash hit tune, ‘Woju’ has revealed that the song was written 3 years ago. The fast rising act who is currently signed to G-Worldwide Entertainment, recently spoke to Punch, saying unknown to many, the banging tune, ‘Woju’ is not a recently written song. ‘Woju is not my first song. I wrote it three years ago when I was in school, but I recorded it a few months ago. It was inspired by some of the good songs I listened to. When I listen to songs like that, I strive to make something that would sound better. Sometimes, I get inspiration by just sitting and hearing tunes play in my head.’ Kiss Daniels, a graduate of Water Engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, is currently undergoing his mandatory 1-year NYSC programme. As part of plans to further cement his place on the Nigerian music scene, he said he plans to drop the remix of the song soon featuring HKN boss, Davido. With his song, ‘Woju’ currently enjoying massive airplay on air and at clubs, Kiss Daniels has explained how he got his stage name. In a recent chat with Punch, he said: ‘I got the name when I was in school. I have a dimple in my cheek and in school, when you had dimples in both cheeks, you were called ‘Kisses’. Since I have just one, I was called ‘Kiss.’ Because there were other Daniels in school, the ladies added Kiss to my first name to tell me apart from the others. So, when I started music I decided to stick with the name.’ READ MORE EXCEPRTS HERE; http://entadaplace. com/2015/01/19/kiss-daniels-explains-the-meaning-his-name-and-said-he-wrote-woju-3-years-ago/ |

Following a string of reports trailing D’banj and South African media personality, Bonang Matheba in recent weeks, the 28-year old South African beauty has finally opened up about the true state of her relationship with the Nigerian music superstar. Speaking on a TV show on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, Matheba said her relationship with D’Banj is strictly on a platonic level. According to her, ‘D’Banj and I are good friends. I mean we’ve known each other for about 4 years now. So unless you hear it from me or him there’s nothing there, nothing to celebrate.’ Both celebrities made news early in the year when romantic pictures of them surfaced online although the pictures have since been described as nothing more than those from a music video shoot. http://entadaplace. com/2015/01/16/dbanj-and-i-are-just-friends-weve-been-friends-for-4-years-south-african-beauty-bonang-matheba/ |
Nigeria’s celebrated singer and mother of 1, Omawumi Megbele has made it official at long last. The singer just tied the knots with her boo of 3 years, Tosin Yusuf today, January 16, 2015 at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos. Recall that the singer secretly got engaged to her man on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at a private engagement ceremony that had only a few people like Sunday Areh, Waje and family members in attendance. Omawumi’s love story with Tosin Yusuf dates back to 2010 when she met Tosin while he was a co-owner of the then popular night club, Zamunda in Victoria Island, Lagos. But despite delivering a child for him, Omawumi kept his identity hidden for months until we unveiled the man’s identity as Tosin Yusuf along with pictures back in August 2014. The Delta State-born singing sensation welcomed her daughter, Emmanuella Kamillah Yusuf on Saturday, June 18 2011 in the U.S and unconfirmed reports currently claim she’s already pregnant with her second child. more pix here http://entadaplace. com/2015/01/16/3-years-after-omawumi-finally-weds-baby-daddy/

Two female music acts, Queen Ure and Cynthia Morgan are at war following the release of Cynthia Morgan’s latest singe titled ‘Popori,’ a song which Queen Ure says belongs to her. Serious about enforcing her copyright on the matter, Queen Ure dragged Cynthia to court and she has emerged victorious on the first point as a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on December 29, 2014 in suit no: FHC/L/CS/1987/14, has given an injunction restraining Cynthia Morgan, an artiste under the label of Psquare’s elder brother and manager, Jude Okoye-led Northside Entertainment Ltd and all other agents, promoters, DJs, Radio stations, TV stations, bloggers and every other person from publishing and distributing to the public the music track/single/album titled ‘Popori’ by Cynthia Morgan which is viewed as an infringement on Queen Ure’s copyright. The court order, among many others, empowers Queen Ure to sue anyone in the business of recording, publishing, distributing to the public the music track/single/album titled ‘Popori’ which is a violation of her copyright. It will be recalled that Queen Ure’s video for the song titled ‘Popori’ (a word she said she made up), dropped in November 2012 and her 15-track album was launched on Dec 29, 2012 also with Popori as title. She equally dropped another ‘Popori’ video in March 2014 alongside other singles and videos. Having registered the recording at the Nigerian Copyright Commission and obtained a copyright certificate issued to her in March 2013, she became the claimant to the title, making her challenge Cynthia Morgan who released a single with the same title in November 2014. According to Queen Ure, what she has done is nothing personal but preservation and protection of her intellectual property as well as her contribution to the music industry so that artists can begin to respect each other’s works and start appreciating the act of registering their works so they can be protected in a case of infringement. All efforts to get Cynthia and her management to speak on the matter have proved abortive. http://entadaplace. com/2015/01/06/queen-ure-defeats-cynthia-morgan-in-copyright-infringement-case/ |

Below is how he says it “Don’t start in a group. If you know you have it, go all out for yourself. Even if the person is your brother, it’s good to differentiate yourselves. If you have to do it, do it yourself because you get to take your own decisions and keep growing from there.” More excerpts here http://entadaplace. com/2015/01/03/dont-start-in-a-group-if-you-know-you-have-it-go-all-out-for-yourself-presh/ |
Actor, Aremu Afolayan was recently caught in the act, grabbing a lady’s breast in a picture that has surfaced from a recent event online. The lady Is dressed like a bride at a wedding reception. The lady, the identity of who is also unclear at the time of filing this report, is seemingly not bothered by the action of the actor as far as we can see. The married actor, who has been tagged a cassanova by some within and beyond the movie industry, seems to be enjoying his day. It would be recalled that the actor got married in December 2013 and once said he doesn’t care what people think about him. ‘They said I’m a gigolo? I owe no one any explanation for the way I live my life. They can criticize my film, but not my life. They said I do rich women for money, how I wish I can do that because a gigolo don’t (go) broke like this. If I’m a gigolo I will never sell my properties to do a film of N16 million. I sold three of my cars to raise the money. I am not what people think I am. So, what is the truth about that allegation? I love ladies that are older than me. It’s my business because I don’t find the good thing, the real love and happiness from the young chaps. Can you imagine a situation where I sleep with my girl now and she will go and sleep with one yahoo boy or my daddy’s friend again because she needs money? So, I have to follow someone who is not a girl as they say, but a lady that is at least older than me. This is what I like. My life, not their life. So, that’s no one’s business. You see, I owe no one any explanation concerning this. I can only explain to God and until He comes, I can continue,’ he said then. Actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, has opened up on her 20-year and counting stint in the Nigerian movie industry. In an interview with Encomium, the actress revealed that her role in the movie, The Prostitute once threatened her marriage. ‘The only time I would say I worried about was when the movie, The Prostitute came out. And that was the first major fresh shaking I had. It was like a kind of controversy. From the movie poster to the sex scenes, whatever in that movie that was shot after I left there but was shot as if I was the one who did it. And you know, Nigeria was not ready for that, so there was a lot of controversies around that. So, that was the only time I really worried about my marriage. And to be frank and candid, until my husband told me he wasn’t bothered, then I had peace,’ the Nollywood diva said. http://entadaplace. com/2015/01/03/the-movie-prostitute-threatened-my-marriage-omotola-jalade-ekeinde/ |

Contrary to what some men might imagine, it is blindingly obvious to a woman when her breasts are being stared at. But what about the less overt, split-second glances our bosoms attract on a day-to-day basis? Nestlé attached a hidden camera to the bra of a female volunteer in London to find out, and somewhat predictably, discovered that it happens constantly. Some men had clearly mastered the art of subtlety better than others, and women were just as likely to sneak a peek at the volunteer’s breasts as their male counterparts; resulting in 36 recorded glances in one day. To be fair to the starers, the volunteer in this experiment was strolling around London with almost her entire lurid pink bra on show, worn under a mostly un-zipped sweater. As she makes her way around the city – stopping by coffee shops, taking the underground and at the office – the number of breast-glances rapidly clocks up. Interestingly, the many women who stare at her chest do so in a much more blatant fashion, some with a detectable air of disapproval. In one clip, a baby quite reasonably gazes at the woman’s breasts, and in another, even a dog is drawn to them. The video is part of a new Nestlé Fitness campaign which encourages women to examine their own breasts for early signs of breast cancer. ‘Your breasts are checked out every day,’ the end-caption reads. ‘So, when was the last time you checked your own?’ DOWNLOAD VIDEO HERE |
‘Congratulations to the Nollywood recipients of the Nigerian National Awards which took place today in Abuja. Kenneth Nnebue, Joke Silva and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde were each given National Honours by President Jonathan today. Kenneth Nnebue is generally acknowledged as the founder of the home video industry in Nigeria, which later snowballed into Nollywood. His epoch – making movie ‘Living in Bondage’ which he Executive Produced in 1992 generated the unleashing of creative spirits in Nigeria who followed his footsteps and used the affordable home video technology to exhibit their gifts. Perhaps without Nnebue’s foray into that sector, the likes of me and thousands of others would never have found the creative leeway we used to show our talents. His award is belated though. But better late than never. Joke Silva is an actor’s actor. A formidable screen personality and one of the most articulate thespians Nigeria has produced. She is an inspiration to millions and her award is just about a crowning glory she could ever receive from her nation. A priceless gem. Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is known to many. Her acting prowess is arguably in a class by itself and her being nominated as one of the world’s 100 most influential persons by TIME magazine a couple of years back must have paved the way for her present national recognition by the Federal Government. Frankly speaking, I personally think she has more depth in acting than her ‘rival’ Genevieve Nnaji. I have worked with both of them in the past and also studied their acting styles. Omotola has the gift of role immersion. She gives everything into her characters. There is an organic style of interpretation she is gifted with. Very few actors have that. She Is not a Method Actor, mind you but she has delivered roles which many method actors would give her a standing ovation for. Genevieve, on the other hand, is a fantastic actress and a trend – setting one too. But she lacks the intrinsic ability to evolve artistically beyond her present heights in her career. That is my opinion. There is an underlying stereotype in her interpretation of her roles in many of her movies, a linear aloofness and veiled disdain at the thought of being pushed further down the exploratory lane. Of course she has an uncanny screen presence, which generally veils her artistic shortcomings when it comes to acting and between her and her rivals, she comes tops on the fan base list. However, with an attitude, which seems to say she has nothing more to prove, even the fans would become restless if new artistic exploits are not offered from her to which they can beat their chests. And for fans of both actresses, this is a professional review of their acting abilities and not an attempt to rekindle old rivalries. Somehow, this post on the National Honours dove tailed into their artistry. Source |

The buzz in Windows world these days has all been about Windows 9. And what changes Microsoft has been planning for it’s next operating system. Windows is a name that has become synonymous with Microsoft so the company is bound to pay attention to it’s next operating system, and (hopefully) learn from it’s past errors. And boy, does Microsoft have a lot of learning to do. The company faced stark criticism from die-hard Windows 7 users when it decided to remove the Start Menu icon altogether from Windows 8. This among several other features has made the company rethink the platform indeed. And looks like folks over at Microsoft decided to take things at a new level entirely. It’s official folks: The next Windows will not be named Windows 9 but will rather be called Windows 10. With it’s one application platform, Microsoft is looking to change things completely with Windows 10 – therefore the new name. However the name is the only change that was not expected so far. As expected earlier, Start Menu is getting a good overhaul in Windows 10. Citing the need for personalization, Microsoft has pinned tiles to an updated Start Menu which maintains the compact approach of Windows 7 yet manages to blend the increased fluidity of Windows 8 and above in one package. Another minor feature that confirms earlier screenshots leaked is the relocation of the Search option to the task bar. The options provided by the search bar have also been increased with Web results included in the feature. But what’s most important here is separation of desktop and metro apps, something which Microsoft has long been expected to do; partly due to user demand and partly due to problems with the Metro platform itself. Snap UI and Task View are two more new features debuted with Windows 10. Snap Assist UI will allow the user to grab applications running on multiple desktops, integrating them into one complete platform. Task View on the other hand is a new button introduced on the task bar, which when clicked upon opens up and shows the user all the multiple desktops running currently. This allows easy multitasking between apps running in different areas. Oh and the Charms bar isn’t going anywhere on Windows 10. Microsoft has decided to keep the bar keeping in line with the wishes of Windows 8 tablet users. However, the company still expects the feature to change as Windows 10 matures in it’s development stage. Oh, and speaking about keeping old features alive. Looks like the Start Screen is here to stay. The feature will be modified however. In Windows 10, the user will be able to switch between the feature based on touch or keyboard input. Sounds interesting. So Windows 10 it is. Microsoft seems to be taking the right direction with it’s latest development. So the final version might just be almost perfect. We’ll never know till we see it. So stay tuned folks. Read About Window9 and More photos of windows 10 here |
It is observed that even when you are following a rigorous weight loss program or you are dieting, poor pattern of sleep or lack of sleep may defeat you. Scientific studies show that one of the reasons for weight gain can be lack of sleep. Experts are not quite sure why this happens. There are many reasons being advanced and discussed by the experts. Cortisol is one of the hormones that regulates appetite. It is secreted by the adrenal gland. Both adrenaline and cortisol are released by the body as a normal daily hormonal cycle. Adrenaline increases your metabolism and makes you alert and energetic, Adrenaline helps release of energy by fat cells. Cortisol boosts effectiveness of your body at producing glucose from proteins; thus in times of stress, it helps quickly increase the body’s energy. In times of stress – whether physical or emotional – the body may trigger the adrenal gland to release adrenaline as well as cortisol. This will affect your metabolism by making you feel hungry when you really are not. Lack of sleep could start such an action which will result in weight gain. It is also observed that when you do not get enough sleep, you are depressed and you do not move around much; consequently you do not burn enough fat. This also causes you to gain weight and not lose weight. The mechanism of adrenal fatigue also may be partly responsible for weight gain when you have not had restful sleep. In case of Adrenal Fatigue the brain receives the pick-me-up signal, causing a craving for sugar or carbohydrate snacks, resulting in causing excess of calories to the body. A good restful sleep has the ability to de-stress the mind and body. On the contrary lack of sleep tends to cause a constant state of stress. This will cause production of excess cortisol. Cortisol stimulates glucose production which due to its being in excess is converted into fat. When you are trying to lose weight, getting enough sleep is very essential. Poor sleep affects you physically as well as mentally. You tend to be confused, short tempered and depressed when you lack proper sleep. Continue Reading here |
Most Artists in Nigeria are poor and that’s a fact but why is Lagbaja rich? Because he was smart enough to consult a music attorney to handle his contracts. I am well versed in the business to help you out with your problems in this forum. So pose your questions for free and i’ll get back to you as soon as possible. But before then, let me give you 5 free tips before you enter a music contract or deal with any label or individual: 1. Never sign a contract beyond 3 years with any label in Nigeria unless your f***ked financially, ask 2face, all that glitters is not gold 2. Never ask for too much sign on fees because there is nothing like a sign on fee, it’s a loan which has to be recouped instead, fight for future royalties %, live performance profit sharing and album sales %. You ask a label to sign you up for N5 MILLION, it simply means that, all the proceeds of the album must be sold without you getting a dime till they hit the N5MILLION mark + all your live performance profit sharing and any future royalties coming out from radio, t.v and movies. 3. Dont believe the myth that if Channel o plays your video, they are helping you out. On the contrary, for playing your video, they must pay you your royalties; and dont be afraid that they will blacklist you, it’s a music video channel, if they have no songs, there would be no channel and no advertisers for them. They need you more than you need them. 4. Never sign a contract that licences your name and likeness or image to any label. Tomorrow, your name could be worth more than gold in terms of merchandising. For example, if MTN wants to sponsor your show because they love your voice or act, you get nothing from the deal because you have mortgaged you name and image to the label. 5. Lastly remember to read and sign any agreement with your label, distributor or producer no matter how small, whether it’s just for N5,000 or N5 million. That could be the difference between you being a Lagbaja or a Danny wilson. SOURCE |
There is a doodle on the Google home page that celebrates the company’s 16th birthday. But the interesting fact is that September 27 isn’t the search giant’s birthday. The selection of September 27 as Google’s birthday seems to be a one of convenience than the actual date when the company was founded. Google celebrated September 7 (the day when the company was incorporated) as its birthday till 2005. In 2005 Google changed the date to September 27 to make it coincide with the announcement of the record number of pages that the search engine was indexing. For its 16th ‘birthday’, Google has posted an animated doodle on its homepage. The doodle shows the six letters of the word Google as different characters with the letter G wearing a birthday hat. The ‘senior’ G – like a parent – marks the heights of O and L against a wall. O, who first gets excited on seeing that it has grown, immediately gets sombre as he notices that L is so much bigger than him. On its 15th birthday last year, Google posted an interactive version of the pinata, a popular Mexican birthday party game. In 2012, for its 14th birthday Google celebrated with a chocolate cake animated doodle with 14 candles on it and the Google logo etched on the cake. The cake then got covered in Google colours and the 14 candles rearranged themselves as tally marks to denote the number 14. In 2011, when Google turned 13, Google doodled for itself a photograph that showed Google’s 13th birthday celebrations. It had a cake on a table with 13 candles on it, and Google logo sat around the table in party hats while gifts and balloons added to the celebratory mood. It’s been 16 years since 1998 when two Stanford university students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, got together to form a company that would change the face of the Internet, for ever. Source |
Being single whether by choice or by circumstance has its benefits. Many some might add, but being single also has its down sides, and quite a bit if you ask me. No one here is encouraging you to start running after every partner you can just to be in a relationship, but if you’re thinking of staying single for life, you might want to reconsider. It’s all in good fun anyways. Here are 6 reasons why being single pretty much sucks. 1. No One To Listen To You Vent You’ve had a long bad day, and just want to be able to talk to someone who will just sit there and listen. Yes you can call your mother, or father, or siblings, but there’s no guarantee they are available. Your roommate might be one but there’s no guarantee they have your time. It’s always comforting to know that with a significant other, you can get home/call them and just tell them about how your coffee spilled in your car, and they pretty much have no choice but to listen to you . They are there for that purpose. It’s in their contract.2. Endless Pity Match Making Probably one of the worst aspects of being single especially at our age is the endless pity match making our friends and relatives try to do. “Oh this guy is an engineer from Ogun state, he’s tall, and smart. You guys fit each other.” There’s always someone calling you with “someone for you.” Even worse is the friends that have taken it upon themselves as a project to find you a match. 3. Dating Wouldn’t we all love if we could just skip all the endless dating protocol and just end up with our soul mates? The process of dating can be fun when it’s someone you like and likes you back, but outside of that it’s very tiring and draining. From dating the creeps to dating the old men, to dating the ashawos to dating those you like but don’t like you, it’s just plain frustrating.
