There are moments when you are left with no choice but to wonder what motive is behind a particular action. This is one of such moments surely as you are left to ask: What is Omoni Oboli wearing.

The picture was taken at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where the Nollywood actress and a number of her peers and industry stakeholders made a presentation of her new movie, Being Mrs Elliot to President Jonathan. Visible in the pictures obtained at the are Vice President Namadi Sambo, film maker, Mahmood Ali-Balogun, Chioma Ude, founder and CEO of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) as well as President Goodluck Jonathan himself.

However, in this particular picture, can you bet the president was just congratulating Mrs Oboli and not enjoying a beautiful view?

Oboli is a leading figure among actresses considered to be without the usual baggage associated with most people in the Nigerian movie industry. In fact, she once turned down a huge role which came with a fee running into thousands of dollars to act nude in a Hollywood movie once.

If you were already working toward getting back together with an ex girlfriend, learning that she’s dating again can be devastating. Step 1 – Let go of your ex-girlfriend

If it helps, keep reminding yourself that you are working toward getting her back, and letting go of her is an important part of that plan. Getting your ex girlfriend back from another man isn’t something that happens overnight. By not fighting the break up, you’re refusing to battle with her decision to end things with you. By not running off to stop her from dating this new guy, you’re showing a level of pride and maturity. Anything you could say at this point wouldn’t work anyway, so don’t say anything. You don’t want to come off as needy, jealous, or anything like that – this will hurt your chances of getting your ex back.
Step 2 – Drop back for a while

Leave your girlfriend utterly and completely alone during the honeymoon stages of her relationship. Don’t call her, text her, email her, or try to run into her either. Don’t acknowledge her new boyfriend, and don’t respond to any calls or messages from her. This step of the process requires putting yourself back in her head, and you can’t do that if you’re in constant contact with her. By disappearing off her social map, your ex will wonder where you are, what you’re doing, and whether or not you’re thinking about her. Not seeing you will actually make your ex miss you – and this is an important part of winning back her heart.

Step 3 – Focus on yourself

Now that you have some extra free time, use it in the most positive manner possible. By working on yourself, you can make yourself look, feel, and even act better… do it right, and your ex will be astonished by the new you the next time she sees you. Go to the gym, take up running… when you start doing all new things you end up meeting new people. The exercise will help you sweat off any residual feelings of hopeless and despair over losing your girlfriend, and all that stuff will be replaced with positive energy. When you’re fit and toned, run out and get some new clothes. A huge part of attracting your girlfriend is physically making yourself desirable to her, but also mentally having the confidence that all girls love.

Step 4 – Wait out her break up

Most rebound relationships last little more than a month. This is great news for you, because if your ex jumped right into this new romance there’s a good chance she’s in a rebound relationship. And want some more good news? The fact that your ex started dating another guy again so quickly after dumping you results in her burying her feelings for you instead of dealing with and getting over them. This means that somewhere beneath the surface of her heart, there’s a lot of love still left for you. Finding that love and gently tugging on it can bring it back out into the open, causing your exgirlfriend to think about you, miss you, and want to be with you again.

As much as it hurts to watch your ex with another guy, try to concentrate on the big picture. In the long run, you’ll be the one standing next to her. There’s not much you can do right now, so don’t blow things by trying to talk her out of dating her new boyfriend, bad mouthing him, or any of that jealous boyfriend stuff. Stick it out, and wait for the rebound relationship to invariably fail.

“2014 is a major year for the legendary cool DJ Jimmy Jatt – as he celebrates 25 years on the top of his career as a DJ, standardizing the profession and blazing the trail for a generation of entertainers. To mark this milestone, he is back with an official single off his sophomore album ‘THE INDUSTRY’.

The song “BODY” features the rulers of the new school – B.O.J and L.A.X. and was produced by Biano Summers.
It follows his release of earlier singles: ‘Glasses up’, the official anniversary theme song featuring 2face, Sound Sultan, Burna Boy and yung greyce, and ‘Faridah’ ft Skales, Morell and Kamar.

The album ‘THE INDUSTRY’ has been tagged “the biggest collaborative album out of Africa”. It features over 50 artistes.
The album will be released on Sunday, 17 August and will be available at local vendors across the country.”

Sarkodie has been unveiled as the ambassador of breast feeding in Ghana. He was unveiled at the launch of the 2014 World Breastfeeding Week organized by Ghana Health Service on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in Accra.

Speaking on his appointment at the event, the ‘Mile 7 Saga’ rapper says ‘Breastfeeding is very essential and it is to save yourself the cost and the stress of going to the hospital all the time just because your child has fallen sick because he/she has not taken the right nutrients which are derived from breast milk.”

‘I will let my followers know about the importance of breastfeeding exceeding six months. I will do everything I can to promote the idea. I will use my social media platforms to educate the public on the need to breastfeed babies.’

The 67-year-old singer Sir Elton John, who is planning to marry his civil partner David Furnish next year, claims the Christian figure would have approved of gay members of the clergy if he was alive today because he was ‘all about love.’

Speaking in an interview with Sky News, he said: ‘If Jesus Christ was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen.’ ‘He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together and that’s what the church should be about.’
The ‘Your song‘ hitmaker – who raises children Zachary, three, and Elijah, 20 months, with David – believes the church deserves praise for making progress over the last few years, but thinks there’s still a way to go until the religious beliefs are more accepting of gay rights. He said: ‘As long as I’m alive I will fight for people’s rights.’ Sir Elton is also planning to meet with Russian president Vladimir Putin during his next visit to the country, where he previously said ‘vicious homophobia has been legitimised’, later this year.

He said: ‘I’m going to Russia in November, and I will try and meet Putin and I will try to talk to him. I don’t know what good it will do. But unless you build a bridge – it’s no good putting up a wall and saying I’m not talking to these people. The only thing that gets solved is by talking to people.’…

Popular US website Radar Online has blasted Mariah Carey for ‘performing for money men in Nigeria’ describing the country as the ‘World’s centre of bank fraud and human trafficking’.
The US singer performed in Nigeria Over the weekend, at the Access Bank’s annual Christmas gig on Saturday, December 14, 2013. The night was also dedicated the bank’s outgoing Managing Director Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede.
Well a writer (who clearly failed to include his/her name and used the pseudo ‘Radar Staff’) at Radar Online feels Mariah Carey’s trip to the West African country was unwarranted alleging that Nigeria is ‘well-known as the center of the world’s email financial crimes’ and is a country ‘well known for terror, death and fraud’.
The writer even goes on to say that the United Nations has described Nigeria as THE  ’hub of human trafficking, a source, destination and transit country’.
And if that’s not enough, the website says ‘there are mass killings going on in two Nigerian states right now, and according to Human Rights Watch, the violence is being ignored by federal authorities’.
Mariah Carey’s camp haven’t responded to the report neither have they gotten back to our queries.

The 36-year-old rapper had a member of his security team remove a female from his gig in San Antonio, Texas, after she and a group of friends repeatedly screamed at him to take off his Maison Martin Margiela-created mask that covers his entire face.

After struggling as an upcoming act, songwriter and producer Patrick Mathias better known as Password has finally gotten his well deserved break. The talented act has been announced as winner of  the MTN Songstar competition, walking away with a brand new Porshce and recording deal.

The online-based competition which was announced over two months ago saw thousands of Nigerians send in their entries via an interactive app. But Password was on Thursday, December 5, 2013 unveiled as the winner of the competition.
