Karen made this revelation through her publicists World PR while reacting to Yvonne Nelson‘s side jab. The Ghanaian actress had slammed Karen and her ‘silicon twins’ insinuating that’s the reason she (Karen) does not have a boyfriend.
‘Karen’s resort to breast implants were as a result of lumps found and removed in her breasts‘, Karen’s publicist wrote in response to the Nelson diss, after Karen had fired back on the social network.
Nelson claims she was hacked, disclaiming the series of tweets that attacked Miss Igho and EME singer Skales.
Medically speaking, a lumpectomy is a ‘surgical removal of a tumour without removing much of the surrounding tissue or lymph nodes’. Karen did not have a mastectomy (surgical removal of a breast to remove a malignant tumour) so how come Karen and her PR machine are trying to sell something else to us?

Yvonne Nelson‘s Twitter account went on a dissing spree on Thursday, October 10, 2013 as she called out a couple of Nigerian celebrities and basically called Nigerian celebs ‘Proud bastards‘, alas, she claims her account was hacked.
The Ghanaian actress took shots at former BBA winner Karen Igho and ‘her silicon breasts’ and rapper-turned-Pop singer Skales but Yvonne Nelson was quick to delete the tweets right after announcing ‘I’ve been hacked!‘. Interestingly, her account also tweeted at popular blogger Linda Ikeji, saying ‘You’re next‘.
Nelson who is currently in New York has however regained control of her account and tendered an apology; ‘To all those who’s names were mentioned….the insults were not from me…..my acc was compromised…sorry for any inconvenience….. Yn‘.
She also had a word for the hackers; ‘Mr/Miss hacker….next time be bold and brave enough to use your own account to disrespect people…….very rude and inappropriate….yn*‘.
Yvonne Nelson’s apology doesn’t hold water in Karen Igho’s world as the latter feels Nelson is just seeking attention. Karen fired back on Twitter;
‘What’s your name again? Who da beep cares! Maybe you should get your dried up boobs done and then musicians will stop dumping your boney ass! Attention seekers claiming their account was hacked! That’s a lame ass excuse for a publicity stunt! Grow up‘.
It’s not the first time Yvonne Nelson has been accused of being a fame LovePeddler; a couple months back, she posted a supposed death threat she received via text but a large number of her fans felt she made it up.

Former members of pioneering hip-hop band, ‘Remedies’ performed together as a group for the first time in many years at Jimmy’s Jump Off on the eve of Nigeria’s 53rd independence anniversary.

In what turned out to be one of the highlights of the event hosted by DJ Jimmy JATT on Monday, September 30, at GET Arena, Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana who rested their music band (which had earlier included Tony Tetuila) about a decade ago to pursue successful solo careers came on stage and surprised the fans.

Eedris who had earlier mounted the stage to perform his latest single ‘I go Wooz You’ was suddenly joined by Eddy Montana to perform their award-winning hit, ‘Shakomo’.

As a band, Remedies scored massive hits in the 90s with their debut album which included tracks ‘Belinda’, ‘Shakomo’ and ‘Judile’ before the group was disbanded. Tony Tetuila was the first to leave the group under resentful circumstances which later spurred a verbal animosity between him and the remaining group members.

Eedris said recently that the former band members are working on a comeback.

Dance hall artiste Ibrahim Majekodunmi better known as General Pype has welcomed his first child with his American girlfriend.
Already christened Xavier, Pype’s baby boy was born on October 1, 2013. It is believed the child was delivered in a US hospital although NET could not confirm as at the time of this report.
‘Thank You Baba Loke! I am now a DAD Toh skibborious‘, General Pype joyfully announced on Twitter.
Sources close to the artiste tell us General Pype and his US baby mama nicknamed Zee, met some years back. In November 2012, Pype travelled over to the US to celebrate Thanksgiving with Zee’s family.
Zee also makes trips down to Nigeria. She met with Pype’s mother months ago.

Celebrating the life and times of legendary Afro Juju beat inventor Fela Anikulapo Kuti, not only a part of his legacy- the musical styling and life- was recently immortalized by the opening of the Kalakuta museum by The Lagos State Government, Nigeria, but a Nigerian Act, Joseph Jones has also given interpretation to the rhythms of Fela’s saxophone.

Baba 70′ as Fela was fondly called, presented a huge figure in his time and even after his death, his legacy lives in the modern Nigeria
entertainment culture. In his several piece of AFRO BEAT Musical works, it is believed by a school of thought that there are secret messages encoded in the rhythms of Fela’s saxophones, as he was a ‘highly spiritual’ man. Those messages which he could not speak in words nor represent in the lines of his lyrics were encoded in the rhythms of his saxophone.

In an attempt to interpret the encoded messages, like the biblical Joseph the dream interpreter, Joseph Jones from ‘Planet Jonzing’, Nigerian Act and South African Returnee, has taken five minutes and a few seconds to interpret the secret messages encoded in the rhythms of the saxophone on one of the songs in Baba Fela’s ZOMBIE Album.

The Interpreted version titled “WHAT YOU GoNNA DO” is described as a FELABRATION SONG and according to the artiste, it is dedicated to the KALAKUTA and the KALAKUTA MUSEUM, including all Afro Beat music fans plus South African and other tourists who find pleasure and relaxation at the Kalakuta Museum or New Afrikan Shrine Lagos, Nigeria. The interpreted version serves as alternative teacher for other Africans or foreigners and people who enjoy the AFRO BEAT Music Genre but may not understand
completely the Yoruba and pidgin English lyrics used by Baba Fela.

The song title “What you Gonna Do’ may sound contrary to the African way of such expression, but this shows that the modern Nigeria
Entertainer,including this South African returnee Joseph Jones has assimilated or blended into other culture as a result of continuous social interaction between the Culture. The style of wordings in this music marks a new dimension in Afro Beat music; if you do not sing on the instrumentation, you can chant it and it is called the ‘Afro Beat Chanting’, said the Artiste Joseph Jones.

In Nigerian Music today, there has never been a style as this new Joseph Jones’ AFR o BEAT CHANT, he has put a ‘C’ for ‘CHANT’ on the A-B for Afro Beat; someone is yet to match this record and that someone must be ’JONZING’. A Lagos based model Nneoma Edith Anosike has emerged winner of the 2013 Aquafina Elite Model Look competition.

Anosike beat 13 other models to be crowned winner last night September 29, 2013 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

‘There was just something about her. I remember feeling the same way when I saw Chika. Watch out for her. She’s gonna be an amazing model‘, make-up artiste Lola Maja wrote on her Instagram about Anosike.

The event was hosted by British born international model Tokunbo Daniels and Illrhymes with music performances from Wizkid, Praiz, Chee, Seyi Shay.

The event was attended by the crème de la crème of the Nigerian fashion and entertainment industry including a number of popular faces – Mo’ Abudu, Don Jazzy, Eku Edewor, Jumai Shaba, Kaylah Oniwo, Tiwa Savage and more.
