Whenever I have a problem with my car, I research via Google, those white mechanics post all information online free.

It was the information I gathered on Google, I was able to resolve most of my car problems without spending too much.

That an engine runs does not mean it is in superb condition.

For me my car is super functional.

5months on, no sign of slowing down. Only oil change.

Paying a certain amount for a skill set that will stop ur worries is best cuz it also comes with warranty.

Going to a professional doctor is best over going to roadside chemist

If you have an idea, there is nothing wrong doing thing the easy way.

September 2017, my timing chain cut on motion, I called all the so called super mechanics, some quoted bill of 120k repair cost, some 80k. Some condemn my cylinder.

After consulting 4 different mechanics, I settled for one, went to ladipo myself, bought the parts myself.
4 engine valve=3000naira (tokunbo)
Timing chain=3500 naira (new)
Chain adjuster=2500naira (new)
Top gasket = 2500naira (new)
Blue gum=500
Workmanship 7000naira.

I spent less than 20k and my car is up and running.

If I had listen to GAZZUZZ 10k diagnosis and towing of my car to his workshop 20k will just be the start.

Sometimes the headache for free consultations is so high that a value is given to reduce it. But that doesn't mean he can't call gazzuz privately to discuss.

Listen, nobody is begging for free consultation, why is he trying to discredit my own free consultation, at least he should give reasons.

Help ifyeez asked for, happen to be wat I have experienced in the past, so I advise him on what to do and 1800naira will be the solution.

GAZZUZZ sent his partner thebigkendo to discredit me, (look @  thebigkendo profile, they have been connected)

I still insist on the option, then his final damage control was to throw 10k out, if my advice work, 10k in gazzuz stupid honour.

GAZZUZZ refuse to give any reasonable answer, but was quick to bet on my option.

To proof me wrong, he should explain his 10k diagnosis.

First of all, I'm no mechanic or ac specialist and I'm not claiming to be one.

I'm only giving advise to the guy, base on what I have experienced in the past. What you are doing is what almost every mechanic does, if they see u have zero idea, they take advantage of you.

I just see you as a mechanic taking advantage of car owners here with ur diagnosis.

Your strategy is simply, 10k diagnosis.

If u r giving 1m bills to companies or politicians, I will give you kudos.

But coming here to take advantage of drivers, or partners that are trying to save up from their investments, I won't encourage that.

That guy quoted u asking for ur help, rather than you help, you want to milk him of 10k.

"In the abroad" you will get a quote for diagnosis, price for replacements parts, the actual fixing and tax. and this is his model. Just like when u go to a good doctor, and your body is hot, he will tell you is either malaria or typhoid or this or that, but a proper test will tell you what is wrong.

Not just throw you straight to test, with no explanation or anything.

Ifyeez, just remove the filter and test, if it works the parrot was correct an I owe you 10k

Filter clog is caused by dirt and restricts the flow of air.
When that happens you would have to use the blower fan at higher speeds to get cabin to cool. Removing filter temporarily to test has eliminated the clog.

Waiting for results.

Less than 2k, is what it cost with my recommendation to fix the ac, instead of him to think the money will be waste as  thebigkendo suggested.

Why are you missing the part, the guy says ac works and chill only morning and evening, but during hot afternoon not so cool.

I have had couple of the same experiences in the past, and what I recommended worked for me, and still working.

Now since you suggest it won't work, I challenge u to tell us, what will work, you break down my explanation as an expert, now break down ur 10k diagnosis.

I have paid the price when I own my first car 8years ago, lies upon lies, just to take ur money.

I'm sharing my experience, so Uber guys won't be loosing most of their earnings to mechanics, my corollas behave that way sometimes, whenever I apply the same method, everything works fine.

U don't need any damn diagnosis to fix that ac, dirty cabin filter is one of the common thing, that makes ac not cool very well

First of all Sorry to disappoint you, am not a mechanic.

AC chills in the morning and evening and not chilling hot afternoon can be caused by
1. Clogged/faulty condenser
2. Weak compressor
3. Shortage of gas: Ideally AC system is a closed system, gas should not short except the system has a leak.. Topping up of the gas will just be a waste of money because it will still leak out and he will be back to square 1..

NB. Clugged filter will not stop AC from cooling on hots days or when car is stationary, it will reduce the overall AC efficiency be it morning afternoon or night.
With the symptoms he stated my bet is on either NO 1 and/or 2
And it is not advisable to top up gas, It could actually cause more problems in the AC system.

Oga shortage does not mean there is leakage, my cars, I top up gas once in a year and I haven't seen any problem, ac still cools more than ever.

If there is leakage within few days gas will dry up, making the ac not to cool at all.

You don't expect ac gas to remain there forever,you need to top up or refill.

Clean your filter every month and keep enjoying ur ac.

Based on experience, don’t use those thin gas for your vehicle. If you need to fill your gas, make use of the recommended gas. Thin gas damage the AC system.

Yea, the filter is the common factor, that usually affect the ac.

Read what he wrote, AC chills in the morning and evening, only during hot afternoon it doesn't chill properly.

Common factors is shortage of gas or dirty cabin filter.

If there is gas leakage, it will dry up in couple of days, and it won't chill at all.

After cleaning the cabin filter, top up a bit of gas, and you will enjoy your AC, the 1200 gas you won't even finish half for top up.

No need to discredit me, I know you are a mechanic and most mechanic don't like to say the truth.

The same thing happens to AC in the house, those AC people will lie to you, something wrong, nothing is wrong, is only the air filter that is dirty, clean it regularly,

And you will enjoy your AC.

Please I need your candid opinion also help too, my Honda Accord the AC gets cold very early in the morning till like around 11am when the sun is up, then once the sun gets really hot around that time, the AC kinda only blows air and little ac, especially when am in traffic, then evening from 7pm when the sun has gone down the AC gets really cold again that I ve to reduce it to the lowest. There is nothing wrong with your air condition, don't allow any mechanic to deceive u into buying compressor or spending 10k in the name of diagnosis.

Your carbin air filter is dirty.

You can do it yourself, or better still find someone to help you open the carbin air filter, take it to fucknizer to blow it.

If you want to top gas, that tin gas is sold for 1200naira, fucknizer 100naira to blow, give the person that open it for you 500 naira, and your ac will be very cool during hot afternoon.

Don't go and be given away all the money u earn driving to mechanic, they should give high bills to politicians not Uber drivers.

I just change mine last month, tokunbo only the front shock not with spring 4000 naira each. The tokunbo I bought for my other corolla has been there for over 6months no shaking, if you need good parts seller in ladipo whatsapp me.
