Agaba, I am a strong Buhari supporter and I disagree with enyojo on this, I have never taken the stuff in my life but I will not condemn anybody that does that, hell, my mother in law insists on the thing whenever she comes around to cater for the kids (odeku). Enyojo, wine is alcoholic, infact the kegites have Jesus Christ as their life fellow because his first miracle was to turn water to wine, let us put down the bible sometimes and use the intellect that God has given us to analyse situations, Alcoholism is a problem in Nigeria but there is nobody looking at it (maybe FRSC sha)

Dude I suppose you don't live in Nigeria, so you dont know whats on the ground. Nigeria doesn't practise the democracy you were taught about during your school days, at the moment Nigeria is practising LOOTOCRACY supported by a bogus constitution which protects public office holders from prosecution.

Hope one day we will start practising democracy like we studied during school days and like it is done in US and other advanced democracies. Until then we need proactive Governors like Rochas, and if the bankers do not carry out his directive, those accounts will be moved to another financial institution come May 29th !

I drink to my heart content when i want to and i`m healthy, down to my down-below. The truth is know what you drink, know your limits, stay alive to drink the nest day. There are no medals to be won for heavy drinking, no prize to be coveted. so, keep it within limits.

I was begining to read you with interest,till you came up with the yarn about the man who killed his wife and two kids,then hung himself.
You don't need to fabricate stories to make people see your viewpoint.I know excessive alcohol can be bad for the health.
However i don't believe I am in excess,because I drive normally and I have never had aan acccident in my twelve years of driving a car.
When i drink I don't engage anyone in fistcuffs,infact when I drink I become more careful in what I do.
Thanks for your advise,but no thanks,infact I think I will go out and have a quick bottle before the match between Man Utd and Blackburn.

Hi,My name is Richvkunt ,I drink a minimum of three bottles of the ultimate beer every day.
At times on saturdays after a football match especially if my team wins,I go out and systematically get rip roaring drunk.(6-7 bottles)
I live in a well furnished flat,and I pay my rent in advance.
I drive a nice car.I dress well.
Ladies find me attractive,and I do my duty towards them.
On sundays I go to church and do my christian duty.(The only day I don't drink.)

Am I an alcoholic?

@enyojo drinking does not necessarily progress in that order. If that was the case everyone that has ever had a drink will end up becoming an alcoholic. There are people that only drink socially all there lifes and others that drink moderately - one or two bottles - all the time. Unfortunately there are also people whose drinking capacity escalates alarmingly.

I enjoy having drinks with friends in very social settings and many times, I enjoy just getting drunk for the sake of it!. . . .I only do this once in every blue moon and I have been doing this for the past 8 years.
There are months in a row when I don't drink alcohol nor get enticed by the idea of it, as a matter of fact, i just sort of forget about it unless an occasion calls for it.
When the occasion calls for it, i could drink like a fish and to stupor if i wanted to, but afterwards, i'd get back to my normal life and it could take another 9 months before touching another bottle.

I'm not an Expert on these things like I admitted. However from your description, you are sandwiched between the Social and the Regular phases. There is still time to get help before its too late. Remember that many people are going to hell for the sake of it.

OPEN LETTER TO PROF. (MADAM) OKONJO IWEALA

Madam Professor,can you kindly tell your successor finance minister Olusegun Aganga that no country have ever borrowed its way into prosperity.Brazil and to an extent Argentina are what they are  today when they stopped the frivolous accumulation of foreign debts to finance dubious "infrastructure projects".It is very very sad that Aganga says he shall keep borrowing until he has reached a debt to GDP ratio of atleast 25%.He obviously does not understand the deep meaning of the word "debt trap".Please tell Mr. Aganga how difficult and near impossible it was to liquidate these foreign debts when you achieved that feat that reverberated around the world.Infact, the creditor nations donot want Nigeria to ever be debt free.If you and your team had not laboured night and day to repay those debts, would Aganga still be talking about reaching the so called debt to GDP ratio of 25% ? Would he not have found alternative ways to finance whatever " infrastructural projects" without borrowing from other countries that have managed their resources well? Some of whom are fellow OPEC countries?
Please ask Mr. Aganga why he needs to borrow so much money when oil prices have remained above $100 dollars/barrel and he has already depleted the external reserve you built to a whopping $62 billion to a mere $32 billion dollars today.Yet,there is no single project in Nigeria to show for the spent $30 billion dollars and all the debts already accumulated so far. What does he need all these unnecessary foreign loans for when he could not convert the $30 billion already withdrawn from the external reserve into concrete economic infrastructure?

I don't believe World Bank / IMF. They can conjure up baseless data obtained fraudulently for all I care. What were the criteria they used in measuring economic development index? Are these meaures objective? IMF can interpret any data in anyway they want, their track record is abysmal to say the least. Name one country in the world that allowed World Bank / IMF to loan them money and intervene in their economic policy and they came out of the arrangement unscathed. Check their records for yourselves and make up your mind if IMF/ World Bank truly care about world development or world domination via indebtedness.
