Rangnick said we needed to buy players, ETH has bought about 7 players and he's not done. It would have made sense if ETH is still using same team Rangnick used last season. ETH is a better coach, most likely by far, but Rangnick was not wrong when he made his report.

We actually reached out to his people before the start of the season according to "The Athletics" report. EtH wanted him and De Jong. It was neither a risky or desperate move. He has around 5 more years of top level football and he brings much needed dressing room presence and professionalism.

How many 30 years old players go for 60m today? That's top tier desperate.

I don't think that was the biggest mistake. We didn't have a direction. We were hiring coaches that weren't similar and had different demands. Our player transfers were all over the place and impulsive. I think not having a plan was our biggest mistake
