Replacing that midfield should be a top priority. Aside Lisandro, I don't see who can replace one of McFred in the team currently. Garner should be a squad player at best for now.

Eth should just give up the chase but it seems he's stubborn. Lisandro is his former player and would have played ucl football with ajax but he still came. This one is not even giving out any sign despite Arnold negotiating for him. Other midfielders are waiting. Can't go into this season with McFred esp Mctomimay.

Dejong may finally come in, but a lot of people already have some perception about him and he'll need to do more to get back in their good books

I am very sure Everton, Forest or Newcastle will have no problem splashing £25m on Shaw especially Everton...We can easily get £10m for Telles...With that, we can proceed to sign another experience LB in the region of £25-30m...

I have always maintained that we need at least two first team midfielders. Even if we get FDJ, that's just one out of the two we need. If not, it will be a miracle if we make top 4

ATTACKING:

I really think Bissaka would be in the first team purely due to his defensive capabilities. On the attack, man u could switch to a back three of Varane, Bailly and Bissaka while Shaw goes forward in order to give better attacking options.

Rashford, Martial and Sancho would maintain a constant attacking presence in the opponents third while Bruno and Frenkie constantly try to pick up on the mistakes and redistribute to our defenders in order to give our forwards some rest and pull out the opponents before the next wave of attack OR, they keep distributing the ball in the opponents half while allowing our back 3 to get closer to the halfway line in order to contribute in the attack and in the same stroke, allowing our forwards find space in between opposing defenders.

BRUNO WILL HOLD, De Jong will roam.

DEFENSIVELY:

As per training, the forwards will be the first line of defense, pressing high. They will be joined by BRUNO and FDJ in order to try win the ball in their half. A 5-2-3 that allows Martinez to meld with the defensive line as one of the CB's while Bruno and FDJ's role becomes predominantly box to box. This setup allows Martinez to make outliers and assist in the pressing. Man to man marking should be employed and our fullbacks should hug the touchline in order to minimize damaging offensive runs by opposing wingers. ( This is why there's AWB on the right... DEFENSIVELY, Dalot is trashy).

You can substitute FDJ, for VDB or ERIKSEN... I don't know who's coming that's why the midfield is setup to allow as much flexibility as possible. Bruno is definitely a starter until I see otherwise.

If our options are AWB or Dalot, I'll go with AWB straight up. For the midfield, I can't form an honest opinion yet, but on paper, a Tom-FDJ-Bruno might interest me. FDJ can bring the ball out of the defense, while Tom does the hard marking.

We're still very far from matching up with the best teams when it comes to midfield. Even the team C dominated our midfield. Our pacy attack bailed us out. I'm sure ETH is not carried away by the scoreline and saw how useless our middle can be

Yeah he looked lost at the end. Wasn't interested in coaching those set of players anymore. That's why I wonder why he didn't bring in some of the younger players, especially when it was mathematically impossible to qualify for the champions league. It's amazing how Una youths dey suffer because of lack of faith in them esp the Midfielders . I know I've once asked why haven't Ole used youth Midfielders or given them chance esp as you guys lacked depth in that. Well, with Ten Haag now, I think some boys might get their shine

I see this win as a confidence booster for the youth boys as they'll be hopeful that their time to get squad roles is alive. If only teams can start looking inwards for squad depth for a possible first team action instead of buying scraps for massive price that most of the youth teamers are even better than

This is my only quarrel with Rangnick. He should have tried these young midfielder more last season. By now they would have stepped up much better
