It's working already. I really hope ETH does well this season. We can't afford another year of nonsense. It will be too difficult to catch up. If we're complaining about not being able to sign players, I wonder what we will do next summer if we end up not making top 4 again next season

They're trying to manage the limited money they have by first making priority signings I think. I read Ten hag was given £200M and he's bent on spending £85M on de jong alone.

The plan might be to make Ronaldo the main striker then Greenwood if around or maybe Rashford second. I mean if 37 year old Ronaldo can score the 3rd highest goal in the league playing for a disjonted team, he should do better with more creativity.

Rashford and Martial scored almost same amount of goals in their recent past if I'm not mistaken. We should be looking at multiple players contributing to the goals, not depending on a striker/Ronaldo.

You need to understand that any striker we sign now will be willing to play from the bench because Ronaldo will definitely play majority of the games. So which top striker will be willing to do that? That's why with Ronaldo as the main striker which is not bad, the likes of Rashford, Martial or even Bruno can deputize in that striker role without much fuss unlike another top striker like Nunez and the likes.

So you're saying ETH won't have the balls to limit Ronaldo to fewer games, if he has another top striker? Or you're saying Ronaldo will out perform any top striker we sign?

And I'm not even interested in "top striker". This person does not need to be a known name. We shouldn't even be going for those ones that will cost that much
