Oasis007:

........70% of the squad are bunch of aaavvvvveeeerrraaage players. We are seeing what Sancho is doing at Chelsea yet mumu sees himself as Martin Luther King of Football.
Rashford is warming eba at Aston Villa, yet some United fans believe they have world class players at the club....LMFAO!
90% of squad member can't dribble a cone successfully. They can't shield ball, hold off their opponent(s), show confidence on the ball, show resistance against pressing and so on, yet Fans are expecting miracles week in, week out. LOL! A whole Rashford is starting from the bench at Aston Villa. But some fans here think because the players some how found themselves here, they're better than players in smaller teams |

Leyqute: I remember when Rangnick wanted to implement his “ghen ghen” intense pressing tactics. That idea died after one game.
We need to get rid of the rot, recruit better and then give those players the best environment to thrive. If not, the rotten ones will corrupt the new guys.
If you remember, Rashford wasn’t the only one who was dropped for the Manchester derby. Garnacho was dropped for the same reason. But Rasjford’s ego was too much to admit that he needed to do better.
Garnacho’s ego never reach that level. But if things don’t go well, he’s likely to drop levels and stop trying. In the last game Amorim said he removed him because he felt he was tired cos he stopped supporting his full back. I remember Ragnick. I can picture how angry his face was during trainings, not to talk of during the match . The rot grew instead of reducing and ETH allowed it. Rashford and Garnacho started playing like they own the field. I don't know how they managed to convince themselves that they were at their peak already |

odizeey: People feel one coach will come and automatically make players good.
I felt that way before. Omo. We don try different managers. E no work. I used to feel that way too but I have seen the light. Your core players have to be very technical. They should be very good at a couple of things, not average joes here and there. We can fill up the team with average or slightly above average, but like 5 of them plus the keeper have to be above average, if possible way above |

Leyqute: Yes, he's less selfish now. But his decision making is still atrocious. Garnacho's best game is as an impact sub. Whenever he starts, he often just plays rubbish. He's not physically or mentally ready.
This is why I just laugh when some people call for the "yoots" to start games. A lot of them are not ready, and starting them prematurely can seriously affect their development.
The mistake we made was not recruiting properly. We spent 200m plus on Hojlund, Antony and Mount alone in 2 TWs. That sum can fetch at least 4 quality additions to the team if we do our homework. I used to have some faith in Hojlund but he has shown he can't be the main striker for a club that wants to be at the top. He doesn't look like someone that can handle criticism and show determination to come back from a bad display. He performances keeps getting worse when they should be getting better |

Leyqute: You can’t sign a new coach mid-season and blame bad lethargic performances on his “new style “ when the same players have been churning out bad performances with the old styles they have been playing for years. I remember when Amorim newly joined and he was very positive, I just laughed. I already knew he was going to suffer with these set of players we have. He has barely started before I knew he was going to regret joining mid season. Same goes for any coach that thinks they can change these players. Imagine these players under Klopp. One party will have to die or leave, either Klopp or most of these players. They can't have that discipline and determination that is required of a top team. Then the numerous silly mistakes, Klopp will certainly give up |

Leyqute: We have to build on the last window with quality signing that are worth their salt. Anything less would see the squad regress.
I suspect Mount and Shaw will come back strongly later this season and start playing like prime DiBaggio. Both of them should be sold this summer. We can’t rely on them at all. They have proven that they can’t be available when you need them. I agree that both should be sold. By summer there should be around 6 first team departures. |

Leyqute: Garnacho is the most guilty of this. He thinks he’s the finished article even though he still has loads of room to grow. The new additions don’t seem to have this problem tho I think he has even improved from last season selfishness, though he is still struggling |

Goosethetruth: Manchester United are 140 years old. Only three managers have won the league. 1. ERNEST MAGNALL 2. MATT BUSBY 3. ALEX FERGUSON. This is football heritage according to Jose Mourinho.
I am not under any delusion or forlorn hope that Ruben Amorim can win this tough league even if he loads this team with 22 footballers that can play his system. I have seen enough football to know in my mind that Ruben Amorim is NOT the one. He lacks the capacity. If INEOS trust him with money this summer I assure you that before December we will be discussing this same issue of a new manager. So how can we bring back any of those three football heritage? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 11:18am On Mar 08, 2025 |
Goosethetruth: With the exception of Benfica,Porto and probably Sporting Lisbon the standard of the remaining clubs in the Portuguese Primeira Liga are very poor. At best majority of those teams are English championship standard. Majority of the managers in the league are average at best. It was easy for Amorim to ride roughshod over such teams playing his so called system. On the other hand the English Premier league is a different kettle of tea. Personally I would be pleasantly surprised if Amorim is able to get over Arsenal tomorrow and Real Sociedad on Thursday. He just does not have the capacity. So we should go for an EPL coach then? Maybe a well tested coach in the EPL like Moyes. Or if we can try to steal Pep. Since other leagues are championship standard. What do you think about Seria A? What do you think about Conte? Good enough for almighty EPL? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 11:13am On Mar 08, 2025 |
Leyqute: We need to bring in two attackers at least in the next transfer window. Players with decent agility and technical levels. We can’t keep parading average Joes and expect them to be world beaters. 1 midfielder to share/rotate the midfield with Bruno and Ugarte, 1 WB to put Dalot on the bench, and 2 attackers. If we can loan out Hojlund to go rediscover himself |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 11:10am On Mar 08, 2025 |
Leyqute: It is shocking.
We have many average players who think they’re geniuses. They believe that their teammates are inferior to them when they themselves are useless.
That’s why team cohesion is almost zero. Our attackers struggle to work together, exchange passes, take advantage of spaces and movements and score goals. That's the worst part. Some of these players think they are better than they actually are in reality. They have been together for over two years and most times they play like they don't know each other |

Leyqute: This obsession with system is weird. Was it the system that told Dalot not to square the ball to Hojlund in the last game for a tap in? The number of errors they make individually and collectively is just too much. We have one of the worst attack and I think there has to be a lot of focus in the midfield and attack in the summer. |

He just has to play his way through it and hope a goal bounces off his backside and maybe that will help lift him. he has to play because we literally dont have enough personel to not play him. We dont want mercenaries we want committed players He should not even be asking for a new contract at this time. He's hardly been available and has struggled to make any impact whenever he is available.
