2-3 years from now is not going to be any different from now. Ineos and the glazers have to 100% sell if we are ever going to see a direct path forward. They have no clue what they are doing

A sensible board would have started reshaping the squad to Amorim's requirement starting this January. But we basically didn't get any players. You can expect movement in the summer window to be equally non-exsistent. I dont even have anything to say about this useless board anymore

At this point I'm afraid for the future. I'm worried that the summer won't be any different. Maybe the new direction is to buy younger players that are not ready for first team. Maybe they're patiently planning for 2-3 years from now

Then most importantly we need a decent GK that can command the box.

I'm not surprised by the way the team is playing and the results. I don't expect anything more. We needed at least 2 new players, even before Rashford and Antony left. With them leaving, we should have gotten at least 3 players, but we got just one and they left it very late. The club is not serious about changing things. Just look at what City is doing in the transfer windows. They don't waste time at all and always ready to fix areas of the team that needs fixing

We have a terrible squad and the only person added is a WB, meanwhile two attackers left. It's alright

Amorim can't even take off Garnacho and Amad. How do you lose two attackers without replacement for a team that is already very thin

it takes a lot for a trainer to call a player out as being lazy(laziness was exactly what Amorim meant in that interview). it's not even revelation because this is something everyone could see every match day. no trainer will say such damning statement about a sportsman except he's extremely fed up.

I told ellexy then that he had to say what he said then to encourage the team. I even thought he was going to continue like that until the end of the season. But he has seen enough to get very irritated

3 key positions that should have been sorted this transfer window are LWB, CM and striker. Its 20th and we have none. Even if its just two, its non-negotiable. If not the weeping will be too much. I don't see Mainoo ready to play a 2 man CM. He is not quick and strong enough

I watched the first half of the game, the body language of those players in the first four minutes before we conceded the goal over the top was totally different from their body language after the goal came in.
If you were observant, they were not willing, or rather they were afraid of doing that knowing that they still have potentially 85+ of regular time for doing that. We started pressing from the front after, and our goal came from that..

This is one reason why I say most of these players have to go. We can't have so many ball watchers and people starting a game very lazy. Its like they expect the opponent to take it slow too. This is different from how they play against top teams. They know the top teams are better and so they do extra, but against smaller opponents, they underrate these opponents so much and its affecting how they start the game. The next thing you know, they are chasing the game

The players are also not confident about pressing up because of their lack of pace and laziness. Normally we should have at least 5 players pressing up and the rest of the players stepping up but they are too fearful and lazy to run the length of the field for 90 minutes. If the team has pace and strength, they will be able to press up and stop attacks in the opponent half 80% of the time but they prefer to withdraw and win the ball back deep in our own half. We can't win anything playing this way

- Remember when Rashford's individual brilliance carried the team under ETH? The same is happening now with Amad Diallo. No Amad magic, no party.
- ETH changed his tactics to accommodate the players, then tried building on this new tactics, it failed, he was sacked.
- Ruben Amorim is taking the tough path, if he doesn't change, stick to his plans, most of this current players have to go for his plans to work.
If they don't go, it is going to be a tougher and longer path, that is, if they don't get him sacked before the magic happens...

I already knew we were going to suffer for some time with Amorim or even any new coach and I'm not surprised. We have a bunch of sissy players. They have poor mentality, not strong enough and lack intelligence. Their passes are too slow and lack willing runners, especially off the ball. When a player is with the ball, his options are always limited because most of the rest of the team are not moving. We will need at least 4 new players to shake up the team. There is no magic any coach wants to do that will improve results here. If you like play 442 or 433, it won't make any difference.

The thing shock me. I expected more. Rashford is as good as gone, who is replacing him? Bruno should be rotating the midfield with Mainoo, Ugarte and Collyer, while we get an attacker to play that left wing.

We don't have an owner that is ready to invest in the club. We should have gotten one midfielder or attacker by now. It's been 19 days

We can't continue to play a midfield of Ugarte and Mainoo. Mainoo is not strong enough and both of them are already tired. I wasn't expecting Amorim to start both together today. Looks like he already has his 11 and will continue to play same unless there is an injury or suspension

Watching Hojlund play is becoming very irritating. How can we execute a successful attack when he loses most of the balls played towards him with his back to the goal? Most of the time, he just stands there and expect the ball to come to him, allowing the defender to jump to his front and get to the ball first.

My player of the match is Zirkzee. He actually changed the game for us when he came on. Because of him we were able to have sustained pressure, forcing Southampton players to withdraw.

Amad has this sudden burst of pace when he smells blood.

Hojlund has been the biggest disappointment for me. He has refused to improve. He anticipates the ball very poorly. His hold up play is very bad. He can't lead this line. Zirkzee has been much better than him recently. Looks like he has even improved especially his link up while Hojlund has not improved
