odizeey: Well, 3 might be enough to see progress
Because if he's buying 3, he should be buy 3 important players. One solid wing back, one solid striker, one solid midfielder. Those are enough to start seeing signs. Yes we should see some progress with just 3. However I hope we can be patient with that progress. I'm even eyeing like 2 new players to join the attack, not just one. But if Chido somehow becomes ready for consistent senior football, the we're okay with just one |

CapitalCee: I feel there ade 2/3 players from the academy who are ready. Kamason 18, 19 in December, Jack Moorehouse, 19, and Scanlon 18, 19 in September, just average but serviceable body option in the sqaud, he plays for the senior national team in Gilbratar. If we add this Quenda, Top top striker, quality deep lying Midfielder, and a good 10. A cheap or free transfer defender too. Then our depth will be good There are players who are their mates in several clubs making inpacts already in the first team. I hope Amorim is good with kids and the fans too are patient enough. We will have another full season of hanging around 7-10 if half of the new players we're expecting are from the junior team |

CapitalCee: I have been following Sporting. They struggled initially when amorim left, because Perriera who replaced him continued with the 343 formation amorim was using but failed, they sacked him and go Borges, who changed the formation to 433/451. They regained form but not as good as the initial Amorim team, yes Benfica had been bad, but Sporting put together few win when Borges joined them. Surprisingly, Borges seem to prefer 21 year old, Conrad Harder to Gyokeres, its true he was injured at times, but he was benched at times when he is fit Do you think Perriera would have done better if he had simply switched to 442? Don't you think associating the pick of form with the formation change is a very lazy way to approach the issue and arrive at a conclusion? |

Lana1: Gbanarcho and Gbojlund haven't scored in like 17 games at this point but all we have to do is switch to 4-3-3. That will fix things Conceding the easiest of goals, even conceding straight from corner. If only we were playing 442, we wouldn't have conceded all those goals |

Two seasons ago, Rashford picked up form after world cup and was scoring regularly even when we were playing rubbish. Towards the end of the season, he lost the form and we started dropping points. We went from being comfortable in the top 4 to securing top 4 on the last day. Immediately he lost that form, the whole team became very visibly rubbish. Last season we ended in 8th I think and we still didn't address some key positions in the team. Only Ugarte and De Ligt signing looked like they were addressing some specific problem. We struggled to create chances and score goals in the last couple of years, but they brought in Hojlund and Zirkzee. We're lucky Amad picked up form if not we'll definitely be much closer to the bottom 3. And we're acting surprised by our recent displays and position? How? |

Dantedasz: A good manager should always be tactically flexible with his formation and how he sets up his team to play football. even Sir Alex Ferguson in all his glory never rigidly stuck to one single formation during his time at United. While I agree that everry coach could have a favourite formation, the formation must be subject to adjustments occasionally. A coach who rigidly states that he can only play one systembecause that is all he knows is just setting himself up for failure. So far the results under Amorim while applying this system has been far from satisfactiory. Manchester United as a club and institutuiion can not be at the bottom half of the premier league.Totally unacceptable. i just wonder where the club is going to get funds to buy all the players needed to play this system to perfection This is a club that is currently pinching pennies and sacking the tea lady in the canteen and the cleaners in the toilets. In the end Amorim is going to have to make do with some of these players he has been claiming can not play to his system.I really wish Amorim suceeds at Manchester United but I sincerely worry about what will happen next season when he wilkl be held accountable fully for results. You're dwelling on the formation too much and that's preventing you from seeing a lot of things. We're always going to end up in this position with the kind of player investment the club has had in the last couple of years. We were not playing 343 before we began sliding down the table from last season till ETH was sacked. There are basic things our players should be able to do regardless of formation, which they're terribly failing on a daily basis. A change of formation is not going to make any difference. We're always going to hang around the middle table with the players we have. We may look better if a player like Rashford or Bruno burst into some sort of form, but that will just be covering the rottenness of the team because that form will end and the true state of the team will become very visible |

But it's said here that Amorim has used at least 2 different formations. I don't know how many more they want to see before he begins to look flexible? ChristineC: you mean you've only seen one formation since Amorim joined United? even this last game, Amorim used three formations from my observation 🤷 unless you want to say there's a particular formation or formations you want. |

“That is clear, hard for me. I am fighting. Maguire, De Ligt really strong defending the box. When a lot of space is different. Is really hard for me to play like we did in second half. I feel the players are sometimes more comfortable playing low block.” They are 100% more comfortable playing low block. Any coach that wants the players to press and sustain pressure high up the field can't survive with these players |

It's the way we interpret data and make up quotes here for me. If "Amorim was swiftly contacted to stem the ugly tide of results under Ten hag at the early stages of the campaign", he won't be sticking to something he intends to implement he the long run. He would have been dancing on his head to entertain the players so they turn up every match. You see someone very stubborn about how he wants to play and the formation and you think he was brought in for some quick fix? Someone who didn't mind Rashford and Antony leaving without guaranteed replacements? Omo if I speak I will be in trouble |

I have seen Amorim adopt two distinct approaches so far - the lowblock we saw vs the likes of City, Arsenal, Liverpool and the normal uninspiring one we see weekly..
It also common knowledge that performances/output for both approaches are miles apart - no basis for comparison whatsoever!
Please - if we are saying he shouldnt change his style, the question remains....which of the styles?? Both of them |

CapitalCee: The greatest limitations to our game is that our wingbacks are blunt. Then we dont have a proper striker. And we concede far too many goals from Goal keeping errors We have actually conceded a lot from avoidable errors and it just shows the level of expertise our players have. The errors are too many individually and as a team. But my major indictment on the players have always been their commitment on the field. Most of them are too soft and avoid contacts for balls that should be 50-50. They don't have the strength and speed to defend and attack as a team. We have gathered a lot of soft players over the years and it's killing the team |
