Gomes and Chong have signed out. They are leaving this summer.

Gomes’s lack of size is an issue but they also keep playing him on the wing when he is at his best as a CAM.

In ur XI, u put Maguire-Soyuncu as ur preferred CB pairing but Soyuncu plays LCB(same position Maguire plays at Manure) and Evans plays RCB(same position Lindelof plays)..

Now u know Maguire and Soyuncu play the same position, do u think a Centre back partnership of Maguire-Evans would do better than one of Maguire-Lindelof?

Maguire is not a bad deal. Every player has one weakness or the other but the quality of the entire squad minimizes the rate at which your weakness will be noticed.. Nobody noticed how harry Maguire scores last min goals for Leicester but very difficult in united..the answer is simple, TEAM QUALITY!!!

I agree. If Ole wants to rely on defensive full backs, then it only makes sense that he has a midfield that can control games and also create and score chances.

I will never get over how they overlooked getting a midfielder last summer after losing 2 in the process.

Even with offensive full-backs, the midfield still need to be able to hold the ball and distribute properly.
