Politics › Re: You Were In Power For 16 Years But Failed To Restructure Nigeria – APC Fires PDP by eph12(m): 5:49pm On Jul 18, 2017
veraponpo:
Don't mind those PDP elements.

They had 2 Confab resolutions, one under Obasanjo in 2005 and another under Jonathan. The two Confab reports were never used. Now they are preaching many other things.

I laugh when some states like our Eastern States, Osun, Ekiti, etc shouting restructuring. If only they know what it means.

Only about 10 states can cope under such policies. The likes of Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa ibom, etc will cope but about 26 states will have to be closed or suffer for more than 3 years before they shout hallelujah!.

While I support restructuring, it should be carefully planned. Are we talking about fiscal restructuring that will reduce what the center receives and increase what the federating units (States) get?
If yes, it means Federal Government staff will be given back to their states, federal roads, etc will be gven back to states, etc

Is it Devolution of power? which will give major powers like State policing to sub-national governments, etc. We must know what we want from now.

I think our people should outgrow PDP lies.
States that cannot survive restructuring can be closed down and joined to those that can. They were never meant to be on their own before. As simple as that.

What is wrong in devolution of power? If it's the definition of restructuring that is the problem, just include all the ones you can think of as part of the restructuring. From where I'm standing, it's that simple.

You want me to list countries without crude oil and doing very well? I thought this government focus was going to be away from oil so we can develop properly?

LIKEWISE ME, ON THIS I SUPPORT THE GOVERMENT 1,000%, IS NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS THAT MADE P SQUARE AND THE REST OF THEM, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY THAT MAKE THEM, WHEN ARE THEY ALSO GOING TO CREATES MILLIONAIRES? NIGERIA HAVE BEAUTIFUL AND OUTSTANDING PLACES FROM NORTH TO SOUTH WHERE THEY CAN SHOT THERE VIDEOS, AND AS PER BEAUTIFUL BIRDS NIGERIA HAS NEVER BEEN IN SHORT SUPPLY, SO WHY SHOULD THEY GO AND MANUFACTURE THERE PRODUCT OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY AND COME BACK AND SELL THEM TO US? WHILE THEY CAN DO THAT HERE NIGERIA, is how the south africans, the kenyans and other countries comes to nigeria to manufacture there products and take them back home to sell?
If you look at the argument or discussion, what people are saying is the government should practice what they preach.

All I see you doing is dumping every of Nigeria issues to defend your point of view instead of saying what d impact of the policy will be either positively or negatively.
Did anyone raised any point about this having a negative or positive impact? Is there an argument on this? Because from where I am standing I didn't see anybody state otherwise.

Mr. oga, how did you know government does not believe in the policy.

You are just dropping words around with fact to back them up
Which school do the kids of our policy makers attend? Where do they run to for medical attention? The clothes and shoes they wear are from where?

What is right is subjective
Of course! You trying so hard to defend a government that makes policies that involves only the ordinary citizens means only one thing to me. Either you are just trolling or someone in government is paying for this or you are just ignorant.

I hope our kids don't have a reason to make this same arguments or complaints in the future.

What did you mean by putting the cart before the horse?
Government should do what is right first. They should stop buying or spending our money outside the country as simple as that. Did their kids not all school abroad? Why don't you ask them to send their kids to one of the hundreds of universities we have in this country? They should do the right thing if they want to be taken seriously.

my point is not about if the policy see the light of the day but some Nigeria deliberately refusing to see the opportunities that comes from the policy.
No you're missing it. What some Nigerians are against is putting the cart before the horse which our government is doing.

Nigeria is not a piece of cloth where you throw away to get new one to start completely. You priorities your policies to be able to achieve maximum effects.

Am not the government spokesman but I support the Nigeria project and any policy to boost Nigeria contents which will generate employment for the unemployed and create more opportunities for our entrepreneurs.
Is this a clear case of do as I say don't do as I do?

Or are there different policies for government and different for citizens?

Let us stop talking in general terms. Mention one country that practice free market economy even the usa. did you bother to understand what trade deals between country means.

Trump won because of protective trades policy called America first which mean you have to use/employed American or America products first over any other nations.

Before kenny/D1 comes into the naija music industry, did you hear anything called naija hip hop. Na Fela, Fuji musician and the likes of Olive De koko grin etc be the known naija artists.

Shooting their music videos to international standard with local scenes will promote tourist. what exposure does shooting the videos in SA play in their collaboration with international artists.

How many of the international artists understand some of the naija words in their soge lyrics.

my point is am not for band but I totally support at least 65% local content in their music videos.

so instead of them to complain, the artist should be creative to promote that.
Do you know why they shoot videos outside the country?

Why is the entertainment industry the focus now? You know the saying that charity begins at home. If only this FG has developed our hospitals and prevent Nigerians from spending millions of dollars outside this country will Peter have any point? Is Buhari in a Nigerian hospital? Did he create any job by being treated by Nigerians?

What circumstances is that? His policies, decisions, refusal to practice federalism are also circumstances too? Let's continue to deceive ourselves. We prepared excuses for our previous leaders just like we're doing now but in 5 years time we will be here to make same complaints.

Exactly! More than love is needed to sustain a relationship, especially marriage. All angles need to be considered so it's no more about how he or she loves him or her but how compatible they are and if they can handle all their spouse baggages.

Yeah true! But you hardly see those ones on social media. Unless the car is from rich parents then cool, but if you ask people not to question wealth of some people, then don't blame those into drugs and kidnapping.

For those that are posting negative comments just note that You can never attract what you despise , Every time you see a successful person you despise them , curse them and say all manner of negative words, and you still wonder why you are poor. Just note that you can never be successful if you hate successful people. It's just the law of nature.
Have you seen someone question the wealth of Adenuga, Dangote and co? I don't think so.

Many people are lured into drug pushing and other vices because we have accepted every form of wealth. Shebi ki sha ti lowo? Issokay

Go out and vote please

We can choose to be dissatisfied with our government and leaders and do nothing or do something no matter how insignificant. Voting is NOT insignificant however.

In the 2015 elections one was asked to vote certain people, one undertook research and fact finding and ONLY voted those who one was convinced had the VISION, CONVICTION and CAPACITY to deliver regardless of their chances of winning.

This is a CIVIC Duty. Please don't give up on NIGERIA
Actually from where I am standing, everyone sitting at home and refusing to vote will be a massive statement that our mumu don do. Unless of course the mumu never do.

A LB?! You've given up on Shaw, Blind, Rojo?! Even Darmian and Young can play the Position. LOL!

United need to reinforce the RB not the LB Dude except you are contented with Darmian and Mensah as Alternatives!

A CM?! Except you mean DMF! We've got it covered with Pogba, Herrera, Perreira, Carrick, Fellaini and Co!
We have left backs that add nothing to our attacking play. Just look at what Val is doing at the right side and you will get a picture of what I'm saying. Also look at other top clubs and you will understand how important it is to have attacking full backs. What we currently have don't contribute to our attack.

Shaw is always injured, Rojo is not comfortable or does not have the speed. Blind? LOL!

Carrick is old and can't offer much. Fellaini? LOL! I haven't seen Perreira play so don't know what to expect from him. But if you say those positions I highlighted should not be of any concern that's okay. I hope time does not tell though.

Olive Twist!

You want United to sign Sanchez if he's available and within the Reach, but you don't want Martial to waste!

Can you be specific Dude?!
I don't need to be. It's irrelevant to me. I don't salivate over players or have a wish list. To me all players most players are same until they actually play for your club. I don't see a savior when I look at our signings, I still see players that need others to be on their A game before they can deliver.

In summary I'm comfortable with Martial. What we need is a LB, RW and CM.

If we're going to be spending big sum and breaking transfer records, it's for players like Sanchez and not some that lose 10 chances, play 10 draws, finally score 1 and spend 5 minutes dabbing or whatever grin

If he's available or within our reach, I will take him over Perisic but then Martial will be another investment wasted. God knows I hate seeing investment waste.
