Khaytunechi: I do not trust Pogba in a two-man midfield.. he'll easily saunter/stray/drift forward and leave his partner exposed.. maybe if it were against a team that'll defend 100% then it'll be better but against Westham with runners in d park,, I'll prefer a midfield three.. Lingard in place of Mkhi,, Mata drops in d hole ahead of Herrera and Pogba while Lingard moves to the flank.. we just might have to sacrifice creativity for compactness.. Pogba should never play in a two man midfield against teams that can be threatening. Not wise at all. |

UniqueGem: Evans played alongside Nemanja and Rio. Dos Santos played alongside Messi. Gibson played alongside Scholes. I know you'll say "but non of these players costs 87m", yes that's because Pogba is better and this is a New market.
When Zlatan leaves tomorrow and Rash don't start banging goals anyhow, I hope you'll remind the world that he played alongside Zlatan and Rooney.
Some of you just pick phone to type rubbish.
I've been impressed with Pogba so far though I was against his signing. The problem I have with some of you is that you're quick to lay on some players when we lose or drop points but others are given free pass. That's not fair |

joeace2020: He is not my favorite player, never was n never will be because i dont like him... as infrequent as Micki has played, he's is my best player. Shame we have a manager who's all about brute force, defend first approach football. As for Pogba, y'all can hate or like him, i really don't care. There's nothing special he brings to the team or football in general. You can't be saying this about the most expensive player in the world. |

Oasis007: Who cares about what his Agent says?! The most important thing is; what the Manager thinks of him and where he can play and excel! Is he with him at the training Ground?! Was he the one that discovered his talent and taught him how to play football?!
We need him to play the role he played in the last Match. We do not need him near the attacking Role anymore. He has played there and wasn't convincing. Lol. Let's see how it goes |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 12:47pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
Oasis007: Pogba is available as our B2B Midfielder. He's not signed only to barb and dab! The Trio of Mata, Rooney and Mkhtaryan should enjoy the attacking Role with freedom to interchange and roam! There's nothing to indicate he can play that role. His agent already told us that he prefers to play close to the opponent's goal. Is that the person you want to track back regularly? Please don't suggest that o. You will end up exposing Hererra or Carrick and that could be dangerous even against smaller teams. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 12:34pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
sinizia: The embolden is main headache in that midfield. Mourinho has tried Pogba with the trio of Herrera, Carrick and Fellani, but in all occasions, no matter how poor Pogba might have been in that match, he never gets benched or substituted. It's coz of finding a way to provide a strong defensive backbone to shield our defense in top matches that Mourinho pushes Pogba into the number 10 role to accommodate a combo of Herrera and Fellani and it end up costing us coz Pogba is practically useless in that position. If only Pogba could play like Mata in that role, Carrick and Herrera would have been the best DM combo to win matches for us. I think Mourinho won't play Pogba in a midfield of two again unless against teams that are likely to be very defensive. So playing Pogba on the left side of midfield could do the trick. |

codedguy1: I just think that the first thing for us to sort out in our midfield is find out which position is suitable for our dabbing barber lord.
Left side of midfield, b2b or behind the striker. It will make it clearer where we need to buy.
Carrick can't play all the games, the likes of schneiderlin and schweinsteiger could put in a shift. Rotation is key here. Let's see how it goes. We really need to start picking up max points. I can't be drawing minions assnal at old Trafford and be looking for positives |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 10:31am On Nov 25, 2016 |
Oasis007: Jose Mourinho will make Carrick out of Herrera. Herrera is gradually adapting to the Role, and its unlikely for JM to sign any replacement.
Moreover..... we have Schleiderlin who can later come good as a backup. It's not over for him yet, he can still pick up!
The below link explains better!
https://www.whoscored.com/Players/71174/ We need a b2b. If Hererra becomes holding who takes up the b2b? Schleiderlin? Not sure about that guy o. Without the ball he could be useful marking and all but how intelligent is he with the ball? Not sure I can remember any brilliant pass from him since he joined United. |

sinizia: I hardly insult that guy coz though he lacks talent and skill, he's a willing runner and plays with determination. Every coach appreciates one or two willing runners in their team. Midfielders that have foresight want to have runners in their teams so they can always drop the ball for them behind the defence. I only hope Lingard is able to improve his passing and decision making. Our trainers should be able to help with that. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 8:45am On Nov 25, 2016 |
codedguy1: That is where Mourinho must show his ability to manage the players well. Ideal midfield should have Carrick who brings a calming effect to the team with an Herrera who is suited for b2b and then a Mata playing behind the striker, but we have a certain pogba who cost the world and most likely cannot be benched. Carrick also can't play all the games too.
It's either we can't play a player regularly because of his age who gives Sterling performances or we must play a player because of his cost who regularly blows hot and cold in different matches and these issues will always have a way of affecting the formation and potency.
Make we dey see sha. Carrick should be get a replacement asap. Those useless scouts should get us someone that can replace Carrick. I don't even get excited when I hear or read rumours about Griezeman. Can he dominate or control the midfield? No! He is the type that needs a system to operate. He needs those hard workers and runners around him. Do we have them in United? No! So what we need is to get someone energetic that can take control of the midfield first before we can get Grizeman if not our complaints won't end. Next transfer window will be interesting. We are watching. Hopefully Carrick is able to play every game for us. Two important matches up next, playing Westham twice consecutively and they're both must win. All things being equal and a fit Carrick we will win both. |

Carrick has completed 90 minutes in two consecutive games? Never knew this was possible. I'm sure the number one decision Jose will have to make soon is how to replace Carrick in that team. Hererra should be allowed to play b2b while someone else plays holding. |

akintom: 1 John 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:9 Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
The above is what Christianity claims (claims means what your Bible says, will happen to whosoever believes).
".... Doesn't commit sin....... CANNOT sin..... ", is this statement not guaranteeing auto-moral lifestyle?
That's the false and impossible claim of bible. Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: It's is very possible to NOT keep the faith till the end |
Christianity Etc › Re: Morality: Nairaland Christians As A Case Study by eph12(m): 6:42pm On Nov 24, 2016 |
akintom: Am not interested in what Christianity teaches, but what it CLAIMS.
it claims some holy spirit power, given to believers, which enables them to get on auto-moral lifestyle.
And the concept of forgiveness, numbs the Christian's sense of responsibility for their acts. It encourages irresponsible lifestyle.
Of course this nonsense is found in all religions. It's this virus that afflicts the society (people and government), to be grossly inept. Trying to understand the difference between teach and claim in this context though. Don't know who you've been talking to but Christianity claims if you live a holy life you will make heaven. Pay attention to this very well. It is not saying if you claim to be a christian you are automatically qualified to a life of high morals. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Morality: Nairaland Christians As A Case Study by eph12(m): 2:26pm On Nov 24, 2016 |
akintom: You're mixing it up.
USA government enforces rules that deters Americans from immorality. It's on this basis that USA is rated higher on morality scale compared to Nigeria.
The meaning of this, is that the mechanism for instilling good moral and deterring bad moral, is both personal and societal.
Atheism encourages folks and government to take responsibility for moral standard.
As against religious claims, that says there's some spirit that empowers one to go on auto-high moral standard attainment.
If there's anything of such, it ought to be evident in Nigeria, since Nigeria is over 98% religious.
[sub]
Because Christian beliefs claim what is not real. Just a case study for me. Christianity constantly preaches against bad morals. It does not encourage bad morals neither does it stop the government or individuals from having or instilling immortality. Christianity says stealing is bad, people go ahead to steal is that what this is about? |
