Yes, as ur previous advice with you and duchess90, that I should top up my tuition fee. So I paid 650pounds that particular day. I mailed CAS admission officed about the top up fee paid, and immediately they updated my CAS. So that's the reason I met the financial requirements. Thank you guys, you are really amazing 👏....

So you applied the day oanda rate started increasing and from your previous post, you were already short of like 300k. So means the ECO didn't use the rate of the day you applied 😎

visa alert!

Earlier today 27th June 2023, I got a message that my travel documents is ready for collection.

CAS = 14th June 2023.
Application date = 16th June 2023
Biometrics = 21st June 2023
Transferred to DMC = 21st June 2023
No NSF mail
Collection mail - 27th June 2023

Words cannot describe how I feel right now. God’s speed to everyone waiting for their good news

Hello house, Pls as at 15th of June, I checked oanda rate, and my financial requirements is still intact. I have printed my POF over three weeks for my CAS to be issued. Checking the OANDA rate again on the 16th of June, my financial requirements needs 300,000k more and I can't put more there anymore. And I have applied for my visa within 24hours frame. I will go for biometrics on Wednesday.

Please what should I do.
Should I cancel application or stop the biometrics. This FX really disturbed me.

Hello nairaland, please I have printed my POF 2 weeks ago for my CAS to be issued. I put 10million to meet my financial requirements. I just apply for my visa and i will go for my biometrics on Monday. But checking the OANDA rate i calculate today, I noticed that the amount has gone up to 13million. And I have printed out my POF. @duchess @mimilyrics and Co. Please what should I do. I need your response abeg oo.

No it will not affect your decision wait time

Walk in is simply for convenience,it has nothing to do with your decision wait time,if you applied for a standard visa the decision time is 3weeks.

Hi 7 years ago my visa to visit the USA was refused on the grounds of that there were incomplete documents for my travel but this has changed will this affect my chances of getting a student visa to UK? I lost the refusal letter and am thinking of answering no previous visa refusals on the online form. Any advice from those who were in a similar situation?

IHS is calculated per year and the sum of fixed for study visa regardless of what type of program you go for

Visa fees are fixed as well regardless of what type of program you go for

When fees are paid in a different currency you have to understand that the exchange rate will always change, plus your bank will include charges

You might need to ask your bank what exchange was used on their end on the day you paid the fees

hello nairaland, i have a question to ask. i have a sister going for masters programme at middlesex university which is 1year course. Also i am going for a degree course at the same university called a top-up programme, which is also 1 year course. She just paid for the IHS and visa fee but she paid more than that 705 pounds ihs fee and that 363 visa fee when paying in dollars. the ihs in dollars is 912.28 and the visa fee is 470 dollars. She paid more than the actual conversion rate. Now the question is that, is there any difference in the visa fee and IHS fee for masters programme and a degree programme. please explain.

Change your naira to dollars and credit into your Dom account, if you don't have...use the one of a trusted family member or friend . Or visit any gtb bank and request for a prepaid dollar card. The limit is 2000dollars though.

You can use the same POF and statement as long as you're applying for your visa within 30 days of printing the statement out and the funds in your account has not gone lower than the financial requirements.

cos i was thinking it's immediately after that 28days, you are going to apply for your visa. now i understand, if it is within 30days after i print out my POF statement, i have no issues with that cos my university would be sending my CAS letter within a week i.e 7 days time.

Hi Nairaland,

please about this POF, i still want you to clarify vividly to me. please explain. I have my proof of fund which is going to mature in 2days time that is my 28days is going to be completed in 2 days time. I would be printing out my POF 2days time. But my university is asking for my POF first before issuing my CAS. And it's going to take like one week for me to get my CAS from my university before i apply for my visa. My visa fee is ready but the university would be delaying me for a whole week to issue my CAS. This means a week is in between my printing out of my POF and applying for my visa.

Now the question is, would i still wait for another 28days again to print another POF before i apply for my visa or i should use the first print out of my POF i sent to my university to apply for my visa.

please nairaland clarify....

hello everyone, please anyone going to middlesex university, i was asked to wait for POF to get matured which is 28days before submitting to middlesex univerisity. Pls how many days will it take to collect my cas letter after submitting my POF to the university.
Secondly, after collecting the cas letter, am i still going to wait for another 28days to apply for my visa.

Pls NAIRALAND, anyone going to this university should answer ASAP.
