Politics / Re: Kogi Election: 30 INEC Staff Missing by erasokafor(m): 6:33am On Nov 17, 2019
This is unheard of. When will Nigeria ever grow up politically? All these politics with bitterness takes us nowhere. I have been observing all these brigandage in the name of politics and keep I wondering when we'll ever get it right. I just hope the abducted would be released soon, even if they end up doing anything with the results. Lives first.

AMARACHI THE BEAUTIFUL POOR CHILD
(Written by Erasmus Ugochukwu Okafor)

Waking up to reality, Amarachi, popularly known as Amara, couldn’t believe that she just dropped out of school. As she parked her loads into that old Datsun truck which her dad left as a legacy, tears gained possession of her eyes. Standing by the gate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Amarachi shook her head in dismay but in total surrender to fate, smiled sheepishly to what poverty had caused, and entered the truck to find her way to Onitsha.
“Now, I must have to start using this truck to be carrying loads for people, to save money and come back to school,” she muttered absently as she nudged herself to reality, “finally, I have dropped out,”
As she was about to leave, Osisioma, her friend and the daughter to the well- known industrialist at Main market Onitsha, beckoned her forward but the engine of the truck was already steaming. She quickly pulled over and stepped out of her 4Matic Benz SUV; looking cool in that bodycon mini gown, adorned with her six-inch high heeled shoes, with her golden human hair that embellished her beauty. Her lips that were full of smiles at first, curved into a deep frown when she saw that her good friend was finally leaving the school as she told her earlier in confident.
“Please, you can’t do this,” Osisoma shouted as she fought hard on her high-heeled shoes; rushing to the truck, and at the same time trying to gain a balance in the shoes, “I’ve told you that I have to talk to daddy so that he can take care of your schooling,”
Tears couldn’t stop raining down Amarachi’s cheek as her eyes remained blurred and saggy. She fought hard to move her lips to a befitting reply but numbness and sorrows overtook her emotions. She simply drove off even before Osisioma could come close to her. She knew that no one could help her because she’d always lived a life of being no dependant to anyone except to herself.
Even though Amarachi managed to drive as fast as she could away from Osisioma, the old truck’s noise and unsteady movement made her be more cautious on the road as she drove off and navigated along the expressway leading to Onitsha where she believed she belonged to.
Osisioma already knew how steadfast and determined Amara could be whenever she makes up her mind about something, so she couldn’t just rush into her car to follow her or stop her. She simply stood there with tears in her eyes watching her friend drive away in such an old vehicle that wasn’t even road-worthy anymore.
As Osisoma was lost in thoughts, the incessant horns from the long queue of vehicles behind her honked and forced her back from that world of absence.
“Sorry for the obstruction,” she mumbled tearfully and went into her car. Sorrowfully, she drove away to her department-Economics.
Many calls that Osisioma made to Amarachi’s phone were left unanswered. It dawned on the entire students in economics department that they just lost their first-class material and there was nothing they could do to bring back their ‘student-lecturer’ as she was known as.
****
It was an early morning that fateful day, the birds of the air chirping and whistling, the crows cawing, and the voices of the street vendors being heard from far and near but Amarachi was still sleeping since she didn’t sleep on time. The light of the early morning sun flooded the cabin through the slit of the shattered roof. Had it been it was raining, they would have been busy fixing buckets at different locations to stop the rain from gaining possession of the entire room.
“Amarachi!” The deafening voice of Ego Oyibo, forced Amara out of the dreamless slumber, “What are you still doing on the bed by this time while your customers kept knocking on the door for Akara di ka Akwa! (akara that is compared to an egg in taste)” Her mom howled.
As Amarachi tried to balance herself on that old mattress she fell off the bed, but her hands were great support that made her not hit hard on the floor. She then realised that she wasn’t on her school mattress anymore but an elevated bed.
“Mom, I have told you to control the way you shout at me,” she said with a sigh as she yawned away the sleepiness of her eyes, “must I sell Akara today?” she grumbled and started removing the dry rheum in her eyes, “sometimes try to understand that this body needs rest,” she added.
“Shhhhhh!” her strict mom shushed her but still came closer to her at the bed and sat beside her, “this life isn’t always as easy as we want it to be,” she continued as she pulled Amara to her side, “if I didn’t groom you this way, you wouldn’t have been a better child by now,” she courteously averred, “sometimes, try to understand that these shouts and noise would always be resounding in your head even when I’m not there to guide you,”
With a tear about to announce its presence in her eyes, Amara smiled and snuggled into her mom’s bosom. “Ego oyibo, Nnem,” she called her mom in a petting way, “you’re a wonderful mom. The only sin you ever committed which I inherited is poverty. But believe this; God must surely forgive those sins and make us rich one day,” she patted her mom gently on her back, used her clean napkin and cleaned the tears on her mother’s eyes, “weep no more, Nne. The last thing you can deny a poor man is hope. I have hope, and I hope you do too,”
Serenity took over the entire room at the end of her exhortative statement, the sounds of silence flared between them, even though the usual shattering footsteps in the ceiling as a result of the hungry rats continued to disperse the silence with domestic noise.
“How can I stop weeping while my daughter remains a dropout from school?” Ego Oyibo asked tearfully as her sobs welcomed a loud cry, “if I could take care of you, why are you here sitting beside me, doing odd jobs that only men do, as well as frying akara on the streets just for you and me to survive. Why aren’t you in school like your mates?” she explanatorily said to Amarachi who wept with her mom. “If we could afford a house rent, why are we always occupying empty lands until the owner comes to build, and we are forced to find another empty land to either raise a new cabin, thatched house or a clay-house?”
At a point, Amarachi held back her tears, went into the shoes of her unknown dad, to become a husband to her mom for the moment. She knew that her mom would soon start recounting her ordeals and sordid past as she fought to raise her as a kid and that would mean not going out for the akara business that morning. So she pulled herself up, looking smilingly on her mom and said: “Ego oyibo, if you enjoy being poor, stay there while your mates pass you in this life’s race. As for me, I am off for my sweet akara ooo,” with that loud laugh, she said: “Let me join the rich people like me and leave you poor widow here. Continue crying, Nne, and forget that your foodstuff business is of perishable items and would all be useless if you don’t go out on time”
Watching her pretty shapely tall daughter as she left, Ego Oyibo shook her head in admiration. Looking up to the dilapidated ceiling, she smiled and said: “God, I thank you for this wonderful grace you have given me in the form of a daughter. Your grace made me give her that name, Amara, and that grace will keep following me about in this life,”
She got up and started hitting at the ceiling to chase away the rats.
****
After selling her akara for the day, Amarachi dressed up for work, checked on the time and realised it was almost her turn to load her truck at otu-onicha Park. Hurriedly, she rushed into her legacy and drove off to Ose market.
Getting there, she realised that much loads were already waiting for her attention, so she had to be hasty about it. Her customers always look forward to when it’d be her turn because of how good she had been to them, most especially, because they couldn’t imagine such pretty young girl driving a truck and not prostituting.
Obinna and Oji-isi-ebu-mgbo (one who uses the head to carry bullets) were the porters that were her favourite who helps her load her truck. She always brings hot Akara for them whenever she comes around.
“Oya, take your akara,” she said and handed over two big balls of akara to Obinna, “Ngwa, take yours,” she said and handed over just one ball of it to Oji isi ebu mgbo, “but Oji isi,” she added as she snorted, “you didn’t do well the last time, so yours would be just one akara.”

The stubborn but respectful Oji isi, the orphan was busy eyeing Obinna as he kept munching the balls of akara and digesting them with pure-water.
“Hey, Amara utu ocha,” Oji Isi called out with grin in a mocking way, “if you marginalise me, then I will do what I did the last time,” he ran a bit away from her to avoid being hit on his bald head as usual, “don’t worry, aunty. This time, I will give this Akwara of a man your...”
“Hey,” she shushed him with smiles on her face, “You gave out my number to Okoro the last time and I’m yet to recover from his daily disturbances. Now, you want to give to that Akwara that looks like a bouncer with this his macho. Abeg, my hand no dey,”
“He was just joking,” Obinna said to Amarachi as he continued munching his akara. Oji Isi regretted it ooo. He even fought with Okoro because he asked him to give him back the number he gave him, no wonder he has bruises on his face for fighting an elderly person,”
“But I won the fight still,” Oji isi boasted, though he was bluffing.
“That serves you right for giving out my number,” Amarachi said with an impish grin, even though she felt pity by that, then pulled Oji Isi close and observed the bruises, “but I love this tattoo oo,” she added mockingly, making the man whose loads were to be loaded into the truck to laugh while watching the drama as he waited.

“This akara is so sweet ooo,” Obinna said and divided the second akara and wanted to hand over to Oji isi but Amarachi stopped him.
“Don’t worry about him,” Amara said and brought out Oji isi’s second Akara and gave him, “this is a note of warning to you,” she warned, “next time, you won’t even get any ball of akara at all, in addition to what that bouncer would do to your komkom head,”
They all started laughing. Other people at the park got hit by the contagious laughter and they all continued chorusing the laughter at Oji isi.
“Utu ocha (albino),” Oji isi jeered at Amarachi as he avoided her knock on his head, “now you acted like aunty Amara that I used to know by completing my akara,” He collected the akara forcefully from her and shifted away further.
Being that Oji isi was well known for carrying any size of a heavy load, he got busy immediately and started loading the trucks while Obinna helped out.
The owner of the loads that was meant to be angry about his time being wasted, was busy enjoying the jokes from Amarachi and her friends.
After loading the trucks, Amarachi entered the vehicle and drove off to GRA Onitsha where the owner of the loads resides. The Oga happens to be the chief driver to his boss but due to his trustworthiness, he was always the one sent to buy things from the market.
Getting to the gate, Amarachi saw a group of classy girls driving out of the compound. She quickly reversed to allow them to pass but instead of the girls to go about their daily business, they all started laughing at her for driving an old truck and doing men’s kind of work.
Amarachi simply remained calm and unperturbed. She was busy calculating the money for her services and had no time to think about the jeers from the girls from a rich home.

PART 2

AMARACHI THE BEAUTIFUL POOR CHILD
(Written by Okafor Erasmus Ugochukwu)

Osisioma, though very beautiful and well-to-do, had issues with intelligence. She always depended on Amara for her successes in school. Being that Amarachi was no more in school to help and guide her academically, life became hell for Osisioma. To add to her mental stress, it was already an exam period and she wasn’t even ready yet. Even though she’d made efforts to read without Amarachi’s help, it hardly made sense to her. The only voice that makes her understand what’s being taught in class was that of Amarachi whenever she teaches her with her lecturing prowess.
It wasn’t easy for Osisioma to drive down to Onitsha for a preparatory lesson from Amara for her exams, especially the fact that the new lessons and topics taught in the class at Amarachi’s absence would be alien to the poor girl fighting to keep the body and soul together at Onitsha.
On that clement morning when Amarachi was at the park as her friends were loading her truck, a call came across. It was one of Osisioma’s numerous calls that she ignores as usual since she wanted to have nothing to do with school’s disturbance until she’s ready to go back to school.
Notwithstanding that pigheadedness, thinking of how fairly good her life had been around Osisioma whose benevolence kept her alive until she left the university, nostalgia overtook her. People at the motor park were surprised that Amarachi remained glued to the seat of her truck and didn’t even heed to the voice of some jokes coming from Oji Isi aho mgbo and Obinna, his counterpart. Amara kept looking absently as her eyes became vague with sorrowful tears. The phone kept beeping and the vibration kept prodding the disturbed girl to consciousness but the poor girl’s attention was cocooned in mixed feelings of nostalgia and willingness to let go of the past.
“Aunty Amara, what’s happening, please?” Obinna queried and arched, resting his weight on the truck to check who was calling her on the phone and the reason she was agitated and didn’t want to take the call. “Is that Okoro again?” he asked concernedly.
Amarachi was jittery by that interruption to her thoughtful state, so she took a deep sigh and said, amid the towering noise in the market, “Do you know the saddest moment someone has in life?” Her eyes abstractedly fixed at two men fighting in a distance but not concentrating on them.
Obinna saw how reflective she was and became more disturbed and sober. “I don’t know the answer, aunty Amara,” he said admittedly, feeling disquieted.
“The saddest moment in life is when you remember when you were once happy,” Amarachi maundered and hunched over the steering wheel meditatively while the buzz from Osisioma’s call lingered.
“Aunty,” Oji isi called from the passenger’s side of the door as he tried to force the bad door to open, “can I come in?” he asked looking worked up, “your door wouldn’t open. You know it is oka mma na aka onye nwe ya (best handled by the owner) because of the nature of the door,”
Amarachi felt the comic nature of his poor friend amidst her troubled mind. Letting out that faint and stressful smile, she opened the door for Oji isi to enter.
The owner of the load, Mr. Okeoma who happens to be an impatient type angrily came to Amarachi and hollered: “Am I here to wait and watch or to see my loads being loaded in the truck?”
“Oga, don’t be harsh on her nah,” Obinna interjected and went to the trunk and started offloading what had been loaded already, “Oji isi, I need help here,” he blurted angrily in a bid to transfer the aggression to Mr. Okeoma.
Oji isi looked at Amarachi; seeking her approval to offload the goods as Obinna was already doing. Amarachi wearily looked at him and nodded affirmatively in approval. “Offload, please,” she managed to whisper in a husky tone.
Oji isi got down at once from his sitting position beside Amarachi and helped Obinna to offload the entire goods. “Oga isi awo (oga with grey hair), if you try raising a voice next time on aunty Utu ocha to make her change her mind on the daily akara we always hope for, then series of fights would never stop knocking at your door daily,” Oji Isi blustered and nodded in the air as a threat to Mr. Okeoma to show the pugnacity of his nature.
Amara couldn’t even utter a word of apologies to Mr. Okeoma for failing to fulfil her promise to him because trying to be vocal would mean she was ready to let the tears she’d been stifling within her to be made evident in the public. She simply waited until the entire loads were transferred to the man meant to be the next to load after her.

“Are you sure of this decision?” Mr. Okeoma finally asked meekly and came to Amarachi's position, “sorry, I shouted at you earlier. You’ve never failed in your timely delivery; therefore, I will still pay you part of the money for your time,” He brought out five hundred Naira and handed over to her.
“Manage this, please,”

Amarachi was bewildered by such gesture of magnanimity, making her daunted and disturbed. She refused taking the money she believed she never worked for.
“No sir, you can’t...”

“I insist,” Mr. Okeoma maintained and forced the money into her palm, “whatever the issue is, God is in heaven and watches over us all and he knows about you too,”

Amarachi still couldn’t talk in appreciation but remained speechless and benumbed as she looked up the sky, thinking if God was aware of what she was passing through in life.

She ignited the engine after many efforts to get the old-fashioned truck’s engine to start; this had become a usual exercise for her. When the old engine finally responded, she drove away without talking to anyone.

Getting home, Amarachi simply dressed up in a fine long figure-hugging gown, picked a few things, and then dropped a note for her mom and left to the Peace Park at upper Iweka. The money that Mr. Okeoma gave her, in addition to what she realised from the akara sale of the very day helped her take transportation to Unizik. She knew she was seriously needed for the forthcoming examination; therefore, couldn’t live with her conscience if she finally didn’t help Osisioma and other departmental friends to make a good grade for the semester.

The challenge remained that Amarachi had been left behind and needed to spend some time to study; in a bid to catch up, and then teach others as usual.

Getting to Unizik Junction, Amarachi stood by a corner as she remained uneasy and conscious of who sees her after being away from school for a while.

She didn't just want to attract people's attention, both with her personality and beauty. She called Osisioma’s number. It was as if Osisioma was already flexing her thumb on the keyboard of her phone; this made her take the call at the first buzz.

“Hello, hello... Amy nwa,” she snarled with a quivering tone and exhilaration, “please, why have you been tormenting me like this, bae?”

“Come and pick me,” she said with a concealed smile, “I’m at Unizik junction. You can do better than just asking so many questions,”

Osisioma was so surprised that Amarachi was at Unizik junction already even without telling her that she was coming. She was very happy to oblige her. She quickly zoomed off with a loud screech from her house at Udoka housing estate to where Amarachi was waiting impatiently.

Getting to Amarachi’s position, Osisioma didn’t mind how she looked; putting on just pyjamas. She rushed to her and gave her a warm hug, getting her circled in her arms and couldn’t let the intelligent poor girl go.

Amarachi was very happy to see Osisioma after a while. With a friendly smile, she slowly forced herself to be freed from Osisioma’s grip. “Oma, Can I have the lesson notes and textbooks that I came for? I already know why you’d been calling,”

“Hey, my baby boo,” Osisioma yelled and dragged her into the car, “but seriously, you’re looking good, even though it seems like you never stopped crying,” she added and drove off, “your eyes look pale and stressed,” she said as she drove back to her abode, “but seriously and being candid, my numerous calls to you weren’t just for the tutorials but to know how you’d been all these while. I have missed you so much and God knows I have,”

Amarachi remained broody as the short drive back to Osisioma’s house lasted, but never replied to Osisioma numerous talks. She simply kept thinking of how her mom would take the effects from the contents of the note she dropped on the table to let her know she’d left to the same school she dropped out from. The thoughts were both funny and incredible as she recounted everything in her mind’s eye.

Getting to the house, Amarachi was surprised to see that two of her friends from the Economics department were already waiting with their lesson notes and writing materials ready for her teaching.

“Welcome, guru,” Adanna, the talkative said and pulled Amarachi into a hug, almost pulling her down from the car, “sorry, I couldn’t help but express how I feel,”

“But that shouldn’t be the reason for you to tear her fine dress just for a hug,” Chibunna, the most intelligent boy in the class said smilingly, “we’ve greatly missed such a fantastic brain amongst us, making me realise I still have a long way to go,”

“Tah,” Osisioma retorted with a great smile as she dangled her car keys on her finger, “If blocked heads like us complain, Chibunna would do too,”

“I wonder oo,” Adanna supported and handed over her lesson notes to Amarachi, “Oya, start reading immediately and keep digesting,” she added but Osisioma collected the notes from Amarachi and handed back to the owner.
“Can you give her a break?” Osisioma intervened and dragged Amarachi into her room, “please, can we now have some lunch,” she added and started bringing out all sorts of foods as if she knew that she was coming.

Osisioma, though she came from a rich home, she had that culinary art that made her exceptionally good with dishes. She never depended on maidservants for her meals.

“Just like always,” Amarachi said, finally breaking her long silence, “I have missed your food for real,”

“Of course, I know you did,” Adanna concurred, “me too, I did,”

“You did what!?” Osisioma barked as she rolled her sexy eyes, “you have no share here oo. It’s for Amy all the way,”

“Hand over the notes to me,” Amarachi said and reached out for the lesson notes and textbooks, “I may need two days to read the entire books to cover what you guys did for the semester,”

Chibunna knew that the semester work was voluminous and it’d be an uphill task for Amarachi to read all and understand in just two days. With his hands akimbo, “he took a deep breath, and then whispered into Amarachi’s ear: “Are you sure of this promise?”

Being that such caution came from another guru of the department, Amarachi’s heart pulsated with questions and a bit fright, but she just had to trust her instincts and remain undaunted. “I will try my best,” she reaffirmed and grimaced.
**
After spending two days reading through the entire eight courses, Amarachi was ready to teach.

No other person apart from Osisioma, Chibunna and Adanna knew about the lectures fixed in preparation for the exams. It was meant to be a surprise to other students; even though rumours of Amarachi’s presence in the school had filtered into many ears but they hadn’t the opportunity to see her because she wasn’t disposed for it.

On the day that Amarachi appeared in the class for the tutorial session, it was like a grand festival as the students celebrated her presence in style. Amarachi was just blushing and happy at the same time for reconnecting with her mates after some months of being out of school. The school life she’d left behind suddenly located her again, giving her mixed feelings of joy and sadness.

It took Amarachi just two days to teach the entire eight courses before thinking of leaving the school back to Onitsha to continue her akara and the truck businesses.
When it was time for Amarachi to go, she went to the park and boarded a bus, having satisfied her conscience for helping her friends out. It was a surprise that the entire students raised a cash of a hundred thousand naira for her. Osisioma personally gave her fifty thousand naira, making it a total of a hundred and fifty thousand naira.

As Amara waited for other passengers to get the bus filled, she was surprised to see some group of girls; all dressed in white. They stormed the park and dispersed the people with arms. This put the business of the day to a halt.

Amarachi was dragged out of the bus, and her entire money taking away from her.

Uremma, the daughter of Ozo Odenjinji, a well-known politician in Nigeria suddenly appeared with some policemen and arrested Amarachi and took her into the police van, even when she wasn’t allowed to talk or defend herself. The entire girls all disappeared on sighting the policemen. Amarachi was just rattled and didn’t even know what was going on. The best luxury she had at that particular time was calmness until she understands what was going on before she could speak.

THE MYSTERY OF MY DESTINY....BY OKAFOR ERASMUS
(The Obscurities of My Life in a mysterious box)

CHAPTER ONE
The United States of America had really offered me the opportunity to survive in abject poverty that had characterized my life as I advanced into adulthood which made me embrace it as my own without knowing that there are more to my life than I could ever imagine.
It was a lowly life in the suburbs of Philadelphia, in Carmel city of Indiana, in a home built close to Gander Mountain.
I couldn’t say if I’m proud to announce that I lived in a cabin built in the woods by my poor parents because they couldn’t afford the rent paid in the city and couldn’t see me taken to the destitute since they were still alive and caring.
Born into the lowly family of African American parents and trying to make ends meet, I’d always tried my best to remain educated in my own little way; all thanks to the natural endowment of intelligence that offered the opportunity for me to understand anything once I set my eyes and attention on it.
My father, Eric Churchill was a peasant farmer and sometimes spent some of his leisure at the orchard, tending to the flowers and making sure that nature remains beautified. I admired his sense of natural taste but I hadn’t the time to tow his path because I spent much time reading than I spent observing the orchard.
My mother, Elizabeth Churchill, sold fruits in the local market as a way of helping out to make life bearable for the family.
My own tutorial classes for the younger kids was a good source of modest income that helped my parents and me to ensure that at least two square meal was put on the table, to keep our bodies and soul clung together while we remained hopeful that tomorrow would offer a better opportunity.
My parents were already old while I was just twenty-three which made it harder for me to understand what had kept them from giving birth at their early stages of life. On my eighteenth birthday, I raised a question about that but they told me that I was born in their old age and it was miraculous; that was after spending most of their lives searching for a child and hoping in God.
I was glad, at least for being born into such a wonderful and caring family but it was unfortunate that I didn’t come early in their lives to enjoy their companies longer than just meeting them as old parents. All the same, I was glad.
It was like a nightmare to me to suddenly meet the inevitable of my life: I lost my parents just two days before my twenty-fifth birthday. They died together sleeping peacefully on their bed.
That early morning, I went towards their room and shouted “mom, dad, I’m up and cool” but my greetings echoed back to me like a drum, with my heart panting harder as if I was in a cave.
When I rushed into their room to wake them in my usual way, they were clasped together and sleeping deeply. I smiled and admired their love life one more time and left.
When I came back from work, it was surprising that they still lay in the same position without an inch movement. It was then that it began to dawn on me that something was definitely wrong.
“Mum, Dad, what’s happening?” I rhetorically asked and went straight to them to separate them but they remained glued together because they had been dead for long. “Oh, God, this can’t be it,” I shouted and bolted into the streets seeking for medical help.
I finally got an attention and my parents were taken to the hospital where they were confirmed dead.
That mystery of dying together in each other’s arms kept me worked up with a tortured mind. I tried all I could to get myself to understand that they could have died of natural causes but that belief couldn’t be sunk in my mind; therefore, I couldn’t accept that fact.
I searched all through the house to see if I could get a clue of what really happened: probably, they might have taken a portion to die together as Romeo and Juliet, but what for? They couldn’t just leave me without saying goodbye, notwithstanding the love we shared as a family.
I got no clue, and the resounding sound of silence took over my entire being, rendering me almost useless to the extent of skipping some days and absconding from duty.
As I was still trying to solve the mystery of my birth, the most confusing part of the story just sprang up from nowhere and got me stuck in the cocoon of puzzle and mystery: I got a box delivered at the threshold of my house on my twenty-fifth birthday, which was a Halloween. I couldn’t just get it but it was obvious that one of my friends could have sent the box to me, either filled with birthday gifts or scary things just as I used to witness on my birthdays.
One of the most confusing parts of the whole scenario was that the box looked old with a dusty surface as if it had been in existence in the fifteenth century.
Caged inside such traumatised state of the mind, I dusted the golden box and took it inside the room. To be sure that I wasn’t being monitored, I checked one more time at the door, looking around to probably spot an audience or onlooker who could have dropped the box, waiting for me to take a look at it, but everywhere looked normal and calm, raising more fears inside me.
There was a key beside the box, with my name written boldly on it: “David’s key to unlock his life”
Life? What kind of life was I about to unlock and why should I do that. I’d always hated suspense and puzzles in my life but there lay a big puzzle staring daringly on my face and nudging me to action.
It was like a dream but I had to open the box to see what was inside. With the key, I unlocked the box thinking I was going to see something familiar but I saw something entirely different from what I was thinking; strangeness. There was an old ring in it which looked like something made of archaic ornaments. I also saw another key and a note with the picture of an oak tree boldly written ‘find your way to this tree if you can’. Searching further, I found a substance in a powdery form bottled in a tiny jar and the sketched picture of a man and a woman with just white and black background. They had old clothes on them and held each other. From the picture, it shows typical representation of African couple.
It was kind of funny as if I was in the movies but it was real and I couldn’t just wake up and see that I was dreaming. In that confusion, I decided to search the house thoroughly, seeking for a clue but got none. All through the day, I was scattering the entire room until I got something that blew my mind; I discovered a hidden drawer under my parent’s bed which was locked like a safe. I couldn’t just fathom what could be inside the drawer, so I decided to satisfy my curiosity by forcing the drawer open using a machete. I saw an old note written in my dad’s handwriting which got me more curious to dig deeper. The date the letter bore was about twelve years back and I quickly tried to open the sealed letter and discovered that there was a seal of blood on it with an inscription “Your identity,”
I quickly but carefully opened the letter and saw the most shocking which read,
“David, Odunga, by the time you’re reading this letter, the spirits must have led you to discover this drawer, which is the beginning of your quests and the fortification that will reveal your real identity. We’re not your biological parents but foster parents assigned with the duty of making sure that you were made ready for being who you are. Check the box again and locate the map”
The letter created more muddiness in my mind because I couldn’t understand how my parents would write to me in such melancholic tone telling me that they were just guardians and not my biological parents. Even that name, ‘Odunga’ they called me was totally a strange language which I couldn’t understand. It sounded like a jargon or abracadabra to me, especially coming from my parents who never spoke any language except English which has been the American mother tongue.
Then who am I and what is the quest that I’m meant to undergo? I thought deeply, without having any answers knocking at the threshold of my mind’s eye.
I considered that letter a key that could unlock what lies ahead of me in the quest to discover who I am.
Taking a deep reflection, I took the letter and went straight to the box to check for the map that I was directed to check. I knew it was impossible for me to locate a map whereas I’d thoroughly checked on the box without seeing anything like a map in it. I wasn’t bothered much to check out the box again as I was directed because my parents who wrote the letter were already in the morgue, so it wasn’t really important to me at that particular time but my mind remained restless because of the confusion that loomed in my mind making me saunter in the room and thinking of the next step to take.
I decided to visit the morgue and have some chitchat with my dad to know if they could reveal anything to me as a clue because I was totally overtaken by confusion and numbness. When I wanted to dash out from the house, I felt as if the box was going to miss when I return, so I went straight to it to lock it up but inadvertently looked the box that I was avoiding and saw a paper in khaki which wasn’t there before. I quickly took it and opened it and realised that it was the map that my parents talked about. At this point, I became so afraid and couldn’t just search further because this was entirely strange to me. To start with, I was never the fetish guy or the guy that believed in superstition, which made it hard for me to believe that someone didn’t just enter the barricaded room and dropped the map when I was searching through my parents’ documents and personal effects.
Notwithstanding that I was on the brink of losing my breath because of that strangeness, I decided to open the map. It was surprising that what I had with me was just one side of a map showing a torn half without showing the fullness of the map. The language of the map was even strange and I couldn’t understand which language was that. The other half of the paper wasn’t anywhere in the box even though I tried my best to locate it. I quickly locked everything back in the box and took it along with me to the morgue but I immediately I entered the streets, I saw a black guy in a taxi checking his tyres as if he had some troubles with it.
“Sorry, are …are you ready or busy with your cab,” I stutteringly queried as I beckoned him forward to have his attention, “I mean; can you take me to the hospital?”
“Of course, I can,” the tall stout black guy said and winked.
Why was he winking at me as if we had a deal or something? Anyway, I had lots on my mind other than noticing a taxi driver.
The cab driver quickly opened his car and I hopped in, “take me to Parkview Whitely Hospital, Columbia City,”
“Of course, he said and drove off with a loud screech as if he was in haste or something, but that was exactly what I wanted because I was really losing it that particular time and needed to get to the hospital as fast as I could.
As he drove along the road, I was so quiet and couldn’t think straight but needed someone to talk to, even if I could find a dog or any pet around that could listen to my strange story. “Sir, have you been in confusion in your life before?” I asked, but the question sounded illogical to my mind, “sorry, let me rephrase it; have you ever been in a situation when you realise that what you’ve been thinking about yourself turns out to be the exact opposite even without having someone to explain the reality to you?”
“You mean like waking up to discover that the people you think were your parents aren’t who you thought they were?” he asked which blew my mind the more because he couldn’t have known the exact thing I had in mind.
“Sir, who are you?” I asking confusingly, “how did you know about that?”
“Do you have the map with you?” he asked and gave an impish grin as he looked at me through the rear-view mirror, which got me jittery down to my spines as if I was being hypnotised by the stranger.
Even though I was so afraid and flabbergasted, I felt a sort of relief because I just found someone who could give me an answer to what I was seeking.
“Yes…yes...I…I have it, sir,” I faltered and started trying to unlock the box that was held close to my bosom, even though I was shivering and feeling as if I was passing out.
“You don’t need to unlock the box,” he said, which sounded like a warning to my ears, “I just wanted to confirm that you have it,”
“Sir, who am I? And why are all these strange things happening to me?” I quickly asked as I quivered convulsively.
“It’s not my duty to answer that but you need to guard that box meticulously because your life and its essence depend on it. What you have there was passed from generation to generation until it got to you,”
Which generation was he talking about and how could this be? I thought.
“What’s your duty, please?” I asked hastily with much eagerness for answers.
“My duty is to take you to the grave,” he said, looking straight ahead as he sped along the streets.
“Which grave?” I asked, looking much curious, “you mean a cemetery?”
“There you’re,” he said smilingly as if everything was all jokes, “the cemetery where your parents were buried. Sorry, I mean your guardians, not your real parents,”
“How could it be?” I angrily asked, even though I was becoming more confused, “I just took them to the morgue at Parkview Whitely Hospital a couple of days ago. How could they be buried? Who buried them and when?”
“Actually, I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I can authoritatively tell you that your foster parents died one month ago and were buried two days ago,” he answered and remained focused as he navigated through the busy streets.
This part made me feel as if I was no more alive but existing in a sort of fairy tale.
“That’s a big lie and nothing could convince me that the death of my parents that took place three days back had taken about one month already?”
“Like I said before, it’s not my duty to explain further. I’m already saying much,” he said and remained mute without uttering a single word again.
“Who buried my parents and what should I do next? Sir, you need to help me out from this confusion and puzzle of the mind. Who or what is messing with my mind and who dropped the box in front of the cabin in the woods?”
That question and many other numerous questions I asked remained unanswered and unreciprocated.
I noticed that he took a turn and started driving to another direction and speeding as if he just had a brake failure, which made me so frightened because I felt that I just fell into the hands of a kidnapper or even a killer or someone who was messing with my mind. I was filled with total discombobulation without knowing what to do next other than wait and embrace any fate that I could meet.
It was obvious that he wasn’t driving to the hospital but to the cemetery which got me feeling as if I could just wake up and realise that I’d been dreaming but the more I tried to convince myself that everything wasn’t real, the more I was finding my way to the unknown part of my life that I couldn’t understand.
As I thought through the whole thing, I slept off without knowing when I did.
I suddenly woke up when I was nudged to reality by a gentle touch from the African American guy, “Sir, we’re here. Can you come down please?”
I yawned away the sleepiness of my eyes and got down from the car as the door was already opened for me.
Getting down, I discovered that there were many graves there at the cemetery making it hard for me to locate my parents’ grave. I was glad for his company because it was obvious that the taxi driver could be helpful to make it easier for me to locate the graves but that was far from it. The man quickly went back into his car and drove off, leaving me alone and confused. It was then that I realised that he didn’t kidnap me as I alleged but really played a part of what I couldn’t understand in my life. I was left in an oblivion of disarray as I kept peering absently at the numerous graves and unable to know how and where to start my search and quest.

Education / FREE SCHOOLING ABROAD. List Of Schools Abroad That Offer Free Tuition... by erasokafor(m): 10:18pm On May 03, 2017
INTRODUCTION:

Many people aim at studying in schools that are affordable and cheap because the economy isn’t so favourable and it will be hard for one to just study abroad because they can’t afford it. Few people know that some schools, in fact, many schools abroad offer free tuition even without a loan. I know you’re shocked to hear that but before the end of this, I will list the schools (in hundreds) and the fairness of their tuitions.
It is important to note that many schools’ tuition for both international students and indigenous students don’t always differ because education is considered a necessity no matter your race, status or background. Feel free to check out the school(s) of your choice and start your online application forthwith. The purpose of this eBook is to ensure that your study abroad is made easy so that you don’t have to suffer or find it hard trying to locate the school of your choice.
A basic knowledge is needed for you to study abroad. Don’t think that it’s only a guru that study’s abroad. Even most of the students abroad are not better than you, so relax and go ahead with that your academic pursuit and make the best out of it. You should always bear in mind that schooling abroad is a very interesting experience because it offers you; the opportunity to intermingle with other races, the opportunity to work while schooling and the opportunity to enjoy free education. Even if you’re seeking to travel abroad for other businesses aside schooling, this is also your opportunity because it’s very important you ‘disvirgin’ that passport so that it will make it easier for you to travel around other countries too.
You will agree with me that travelling abroad isn’t easy because it’s mostly believed that men and women travel out for many illegal jobs, but with the student visa, the work is made easier. Oyinbo is much interested in having you come abroad once you make sure that you presented your evidence of family income to make them know your financial status. This will even help you the more to have that scholarship, less or free tuition and the working opportunity you need when you’re admitted into that school of your choice. It is important you let the Oyinbo know that you’re not very rich to take care of your study abroad to avoid being placed among the higher class that could be required to pay higher. So, the best for you is to ensure that what you will present is what you can afford, especially if your family isn’t too rich. Don’t worry, when you get abroad, you will get what you need to survive there. Ask yourself this question: “how many people who travelled out to study came back due to frustration?” so relax and believe that you can make it out of the situation and still have extra change to send home to your people. I won’t advise you to have your mind locked in going for an illegal job out there because if you do, it’s easy for you to put yourself before the eyes of the government and security agencies which makes you either a fugitive running and meandering to avoid being caught or even the victim that would be bundled back home. You should know that Oyinbo sends foreigners home handcuffed as if they’re criminals and that has a stigma attached to it. Be careful and understand what it takes to enter into that foreign country and make it out successfully to avoid making yourself the scapegoat that will pay for the sins of those who tried some stunts in the past and succeeded.
I know you’re keen to jump into the list of schools abroad but before then, you need some tips and that will help you out so that you won’t be like that foolish fowl that rushes to the place where the bulls fear to tread. Be guided, warned and judicious about travelling abroad. Ensure you get the tips before you travel so that you’ll have a hitch-free education and come out successful. Relax and enjoy this expensive information on a platter of gold and grab that knowledge sooner than you think and cheaper than you think too. It’s only in our home country that education could be seen as expensive but in foreign countries, education is not a luxury but a necessity of life which is required to be free for all. Even the most expensive schools in the world have free tuition plans especially if there is a recommendation from a particular class in the society. Don’t be in a rush, but ensure that you get the best out of the school tips, environment, cost of living in the country and general information you need before you apply. Some schools may offer free tuition but the cost of living in that country may not be as cheap as you think, which means that you may have to spend more money to survive than you should have spent on tuition. So it’s important you know about the cost of living first before you make the choice of the school to attend and the country of choice.
TIPS AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU NEED TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL STUDY ABROAD

Here, I will give you some of the vital information that will help you gain that admission and feel happy doing that without regrets because it’s very bad for you to gain an admission and hate yourself for making the first step at all to land yourself into such country that will not only drain your pocket but make life miserable for you in a wink of an eye. Be wise, careful and extremely meticulous before you make a choice. I’ll show you some of the things you need as a first timer in order to be well prepared to study abroad. Here is everything you need to prepare to study abroad, including a study abroad preparation checklist, a list of do's and don't's, and miscellany of things to bring to study abroad.
This whole studying abroad thing can seem difficult, right? You've got eager advisors full of answers, brochures and program descriptions up to the last and you've even read reviews from past participants and chatted with study-abroad-alum friends and classmates.
And although in your head you can logically say "I can do this," there is still a tiny voice in the back of your mind saying, "But can you really do it?" Truth be told, there is a lot that goes into an international adventure than you think, so don’t just rush. But don't worry; I got your back. Read on to learn everything you need to know as a first timer.
1. You need the right documentation

Schooling abroad means travelling to another country! In order to do this, you will need a brand new kind of identification, a passport. Passports can take a few weeks to process, so it is best to coordinate as early as possible. You will be asked to show your passport as you leave your home country, as well as when you enter the foreign country. You may also be required to have a visa for studying abroad; this all depends on the country you are headed to. We recommend checking in with your advisor to make sure you know exactly what you need, and making digital and physical copies of both your passport and visa.
Erasmus’s tip: Bring a pen with you on the plane and keep your passport handy, as you'll likely need to fill out a bit of paperwork before entering your study abroad destination.
2. Plane tickets are best purchased three months in advance

Your mom or grandma might try to get you to purchase your ticket six or more months in advance, but while they are giving you the gift of peace of mind, it is actually costing them a great deal more than necessary. Actually, the best and ideal time to purchase your ticket is in the three-month range prior to your departure, as this is when the price is typically the lowest. Your plane ride will be a great start to the adventure. You can choose a window or aisle seat (depending on the strength of your bladder!), you might get your own personal TV screen for a movie marathon, and the food isn't as bad as it once was. Enjoy!
Erasmus’s Tip: Set up flight alerts on Kayak.com or Airfare Watchdog to get instant updates on when the price drops!
3. Consciously protect your valuables

You will likely be travelling with a few of your most prized possessions in tow, maybe your laptop, your Smartphone, your iPod, your passport, some nice jewellery, or money. It is essential that you actively make an effort to keep track of your belongings. While theft isn’t necessarily a great risk in foreign countries abroad than at home, you will likely be more distracted (due to all of the awesome fun you are having!). Before you leave your dorm, apartment, or homestead, place your money in a money belt or in various places on your persons. Lock up any possessions you leave behind!
Erasmus’s tip: Avoid wearing flashy clothes or accessories that draw instant attention to your economic status.
4. Get your bank and online password situations in order

One of the greatest frustrations you might encounter while studying abroad is a snafu with your bank. Make sure you alert them in advance and give them specific dates about when and where you are studying abroad. In this way, you will significantly decrease the chances of having a difficult moment when your ATM card or credit card is declined suddenly.
Many study-abroad students choose to travel with a debit card in lieu of cash. Students take out sums of money from the ATM as needed, as foreign ATMs distribute money in the local currency. This helps avoid long lines at the bank.
Erasmus’s tip: Take off the secondary password protections for your online passwords, especially if every time you log in from a new IP address or computer it sends a text message password or similar process for accessing your account.
5. Bring good walking shoes

You may have your car in your home country (naija) and enjoy the luxury, but when you travel out, you may need to walk more than usual until you make the money to get your own car in the foreign country. You'll be walking a lot more than usual, especially as you continue to explore all the nooks and crannies of your study abroad destination. While your high heels are cute, they simply won't cut it along the cobblestone streets or long city blocks. Do yourself (and your lower back, feet, and overall sanity) a favour by investing in a good pair of walking shoes. Flat shoes are cool for this adventurous travel.
Erasmus’s tip: You don't have to sacrifice style for comfort. Find shoes with thick soles and padding to ensure your day look transitions to night in a cinch.
6. You can restock your essential toiletries abroad

If you have a certain affinity for specific cosmetic brands, you may be better off stocking up on your precious serums prior to studying abroad. However, if your hair shines; whether it’s Pantene or not, and you don't mind swapping your Old Spice for a new scent, it will not be difficult to find soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent, makeup, contact solution, or other toiletries abroad.
The perk of the latter option is that some of these items may be significantly cheaper abroad. The perk of the former is that mom and dad might foot the bill if you just toss it in the shopping cart nonchalantly. It's up to you!
Erasmus’s tip: Unfortunately, this fact doesn't always ring true when it comes to feminine products; it might be worth it for girls studying abroad to come with enough for the entire duration of their program.
7. Where should I live?

Your study abroad program might have a number of different housing options, anywhere from a shared apartment to a dorm on an international university campus to a homestead. While the options are plenty and varied, there is no right or wrong choice when it comes to choosing your living situation abroad.
That being said, in order to have the most effective, immersive, and interesting experience possible, we do recommend that students consciously push themselves out of their comfort zone and seek housing that is less isolating than a private apartment. Engaging with foreigners, whether local or not, is a really powerful experience, and it would be a shame to be so insular when the opportunity presents itself.
Erasmus’s tip: Discuss your options with your advisor well in advance and choose the accommodation that best suits YOU (not your friends, classmates, etc).
8. Medicines and Insurance

If you are taking prescription medications already, you would be wise to coordinate with your doctor to fill these for the duration of your study abroad program. It would be unreliable to expect your study abroad destination to have your specific drugs at the ready.
Over the counter drugs can be easily found abroad but sometimes have different names; all it takes is a quick Google search to figure out what to look for in the local pharmacy. You may be pleasantly surprised by the number of familiar pharmaceutical brands in your study abroad destination!
If you do encounter a need for medical services abroad, try not to panic! Most foreign countries will have decent medical facilities to take care of you. Make sure you travel to the clinic or the hospital with your passport and insurance card in tow. It is likely you will have to pay for the medical expenses upfront and later claim them through your insurance.
Erasmus’s tip: Bring a credit card solely for medical emergencies. While we hope you never have an experience that will cost you much naira or more, it is better to be safe than sorry!
9. Cultural sensitivity

Studying abroad comes with some responsibility on the student's part. As you will be living and functioning within another culture, it is important that you always keep the local cultural norms in mind. This might influence the way you dress, the way you speak, and the way you interact with the locals.
It is important for travellers to practice sensitivity throughout their journeys, as your behaviour may otherwise offend others unnecessarily or bring a bad name upon all travellers.
Erasmus’s tip: A great first step in showcasing your interest in the local culture is to pick up some simple phrases (or more) in the local language. You'll be surprised and pleased with the pleasant response to your Spanish or Italian greeting versus a casual "hello."
10. Embassies, safety, and places you probably won't want to go to:

If you get into a mess while studying abroad, your first point of contact will likely be your study abroad resident programming staff. However, if an emergency occurs, you would be wise to book it straight to your country’s embassy. Have the number and address of its location on your person to avoid potential mix-ups in these hectic circumstances.
Caution: if you are caught doing an illegal act while studying abroad, you may end up in jail, and there's not much your country, your family, your friends, or your program staff can do about it. That's right, you'll be under a foreign jurisdiction, so if you'd rather spend your days abroad having fun and not behind bars, don't flirt with violating any local laws!
Erasmus’s tip: Not all laws in foreign countries are the same as back home. Familiarize yourself in advance, stay away from sketchy areas and people...just keep your malcontent-side in check.
11. Finally, a fruit basket of tips for preparing to study abroad

• Plugs… First-time students might be surprised by the way the plugs look in other countries! That's right, what you’re used to may not (and likely won’t) work abroad. You will need to either purchase an adaptor in advance (a quick online search should warrant a slew of options) or while in the country (certainly cheaper, but slightly more inconvenient). You will also need to pay attention to your study abroad destination's voltage situation, otherwise, you might end up with ruined hair dryers or cell phones (been there, it blows...literally).
• Jetlag… It's REAL! Jetlag is a blanket term to describe when you're tired after a long haul flight (Feeling tired? More like a zombie). As your body adjusts to your epic time travel, you will find it difficult to adjust to a new time zone. It can take up to one or two weeks to fully settle into a new time zone, so be patient as your body adapts. Avoid taking naps, and embrace your inevitable early bedtimes or early risings.
• Photos…If you're keen to document your entire experience with your camera in hand, you'd be wise to bring a few extra SD cards to swap in or to purchase a big-daddy 16GB card from the get-go.
• Laundry… Laundry will cost you a pretty penny during your study abroad program. To offset the costs, you might choose to start hand washing your clothes and hanging them to dry. Other students haul them to the nearest Laundromat, or it may be possible that your accommodation is equipped with a washer and dryer. No matter what, make sure you budget extra money to cover these impending costs.

Romance / Powerful Tips For Shy Guys To Woo Fine Girls by erasokafor(m): 3:19pm On May 01, 2017
“When a girl tells you to hold or cuddle her, she doesn’t mean you should make love to her. What she needs that particular time are your company and comfort; but if you’re patient and smart to hold her long enough, you’d get yourself rewarded,”

INTRODUCTION:

Many guys are not bold around sexy and pretty girls. Don’t feel so bad about it because that shyness can be an advantage for you though many guys find it hard to believe. There are some things that a guy needs to do so that a girl will always come and keep asking to hear his voice but many shy guys miss this opportunity for nothing. Even a bold guy can claim to be shy after reading this and still make the best out of the relationship, having lots of sexy, curvaceous and sweet girls around him. You don’t know that girls love guys that listen a lot to their complaints. I know that you never knew that right? Bold guys hardly listen; therefore, they end up getting the girl’s attention too quick but lose still them quicker.
Take this proverb to the heart: “Still and calm water runs deep,” also, “Moving stone collects no moss,”
As we progress, you will also understand the ‘butterfly principle’ which states that “if you chase a butterfly, you can hardly lay your hands on it but if you lay still, the butterfly thinks that you’re lifeless and comes and perches on you without your efforts, thereby spraying its sweet specks of dust on you. If you’re clever enough, it’s time to catch the butterfly”. Try and see every woman as a butterfly, then you can take off from there. I am a living witness to this; therefore I am just giving you all that I know. Just relax, keep your cup of tea, popcorn or wine handy as you read. You will end up smiling.
There are more tips coming your way. Learn how to read in between lines, this will help you a lot. Don’t spend so much time in a noisy environment because if you do, you will definitely be missing some points that will pass you by.
There is also the principle of 'disappearance' and the principle of the 'establishment of presence'. All these, I will explain later and make you understand how great guy you’re that will make you get any kind of girl you want, no matter her class or inequality with her. It’s not about the fatness of your bank account but about your attitude. Money can entice and attract a girl, but it’s your attitude that keeps her.
Can you put on a specific attitude that any girl can trip for?
Can you make her want to come around more often?
Can you show some skills in handling her to make her think of you all the time?
If you think you can do all these or want to know more, read on and get to the bottom of this in a wink.
THE POWER OF SILENCE

It is often said that in anything you do, try silence because it’s the best tool that gets the attention of that girl because she’s so much interested in knowing why you’re mute, calm, moody or reserved. A loquacious and bold guy mostly misses this part because he’s always talking and losing the most important part of the virtue that the shy guy has. Many shy guys don’t really talk much; therefore, people come around them to know why they are calm. Learn how to be unique with shyness and you’ll see lots of girl begging to hear you speak, just as Romeo was eager to hear Juliet’s voice when she was standing on her balcony and gazing at the full moon.
Let me tell you one secret; women don’t find guys that talk too much attractive. At first, they may think you’re smart, but the more you talk, the more you mix your wisdom with frivolities and you’ll gradually start metamorphosing from the great guy to the puerile guy who talks childish and boastful. Girls hate guys that are too bold because they think that you’re just trying to make her feel impressed, except if the guy in question is tactical enough to know when to STOP, PAUSE or CHANGE TOPIC. This can’t be possible if you don’t have the time to listen to yourself at the particular time when you’re talking. But the shy guy is calm and cool. Women sometimes like to feel that they are intimidating you but later they will be submissive. It’s a natural principle, so don’t be disturbed by it.
Pride is the nature of every woman, therefore, the ‘sharp guy’ shouldn’t see it that she’s trying to compete with him or dominate him. Give her that moment to feel that you’ve relinquished power to her. Don’t rub shoulders with them because, at first, women don’t feel that affection as the men quickly do, but with time, they will start developing the feelings gradually, and if they do, they end up loving more that the guy who is too quick to feel the love at first sight.
SILENCE often possesses CULT-LIKE attitudes. By this, what I mean is: the girl sees that silent guy as someone who has a lot in him but not too quick to divulge them. Let’s assume you hit your foot against a stone before a girl; don’t just fall, but as you fall, be clever enough to mix the stumbling with a jog. This is called packaging. She sees everything about you as romantic and sexy. You’re moving from the ordinary guy to the ‘packaged guy’.
ATTITUDE:

Attitude is a complex mental state involving beliefs, feelings, and values, and disposition to act in a certain way. This is a simple way of telling you that your attitude goes a long way determine how attractive you are and how the shy guy can attract the fine girl. There are some of the things you have to learn or master, for it to become a habit which is a powerful tool that leads to attraction to the sexy girl. Even if she’s the proud type, she’ll fall for you in a wink.
 Pretend you never noticed her at first:
A girl already knows that many guys talk to her on a daily basis; therefore, she’s always ready and eager to say NO to any guy that comes around her. She’s always there to make you feel stupid because a fine girl is naturally proud and many are saucy too.
Imagine that you’re a very pretty girl and many guys always disturb you with praises and flatteries. You’ll hardly feel that the guys are being real. If a guy says, “Pretty, you’re a sexy damsel and I want to be your friend,” The meaning and interpretation changes once it hits her auditory nerves and receives the compliment as “Pretty girl, can you fall for my flattering so that in can't easily get into your pants?”
Hearing that immediately pisses her off. And if this happens on daily basis, any guy that comes around her with compliments is counted to be like others. Believe me, when you’re sincere to the girl, she doesn’t know that you are because to her, “all men are the same,”
A shy guy finds it hard to even talk to a girl in that manner because, before taking his time to rehearse his words over and over again and summon the boldness, the girl must have passed. Why not try something new as the shy guy by taking advantage of your shyness. If all the guys are coming after her and you guys happen to be friends, why not try avoiding her to make her wish to know why you never noticed her beauty like other guys did. A girl feels bad at first when she notices that a particular guy doesn’t care about how beautiful she looks, but these bad feelings turn to questions; the questions become a curiosity. Gradually, her curiosity leads to seeking for your notice, and when that comes, a very smart guy will take advantage of the situation because she has given you the “Green Light,” but it will be awkward for you not to take advantage of the situation because, as a man, you’re expected to carry on from there. If she waits longer and you don’t perform your duty as the man, she’ll go and never come back again. This means you’ve lost that chance to make the pretty girl yours.
If a pretty girl comes around and you notice that she’s interested to know why you’re different from others, play smart by first giving her a smile **a girl hates it when she feels a guy boldly turned her down**. But still, don’t smile a lot. Make your smile expensive by using the ‘MIRAGE’ principle. This is the principle that involves making her think that you’re about to give her the long lasting smile but in a wink, she won’t see it again. This makes her more curious to know why you suddenly took back the inviting smiles. After that, come closer to her and make her know that you want to have a discussion with her but don’t rush into it yet; remember you’re still making the best use of your shyness. Pretend that you have something else that took your attention. Courteously excuse yourself and leave. Doing this means that you just left her in the limbo of fantasy and needs. People are eager to get the things that are not easy to get. Remember that scarcity places VALUE.

We all say and think that the past government was so corrupt and full of impunity. I believe so too but coming to salary payment in a timely way.Aside state workers who may say to have been owed for several months, federal workers do you think that this current government is living above board or average in terms of paying salary on time? Do you think that any flaw by this current government should be blamed on the past administration or are they failing in any way and not measuring up to the expectations of the citizenry?

A man and the wife was travelling from Paris to USA. All of a sudden in the air there was an engine failure and the pilot announced that the plane would crash in ernest that everybody should pray to his or her god. Coincidentally, the aircraft was filled with couples. This man looked at the wife and told her that he had a confession to make. She was like "I'm all ears". The man told her that he had been dating her younger sister who have had many abortions for him. Also her friend Ann,he had an affair with her too. The woman wasn't startled but said that she had her own confession since they will die soon and need to clear their conscience and die peacefully. She told him that she had planned killing him after that trip and go for his best friend whom she had arranged with. Also that two of their kids were not fathered by him. That all the huge amount of money she use to collect from him claiming to be sending it to her mom was for her school boyfriend in the university. The man was like" no problem". That they would die In peace. In less than a minute, the pilot used the communication system again thanking the passengers for being prayerful, that the two engines were working fine and they would have a safe landing. Everybody in the plane kept so quiet as if no one heard him. After a short while one man angrily stood up and said that the plane must crash ooo or they the passengers will crash it and the whole passengers shouted "yes ooooooooo"

Religion / White Wedding, Court Wedding And Traditional Wedding:which Is Most Important? by erasokafor(m): 1:19pm On Nov 15, 2015
I have come to be asking myself why it is compulsory for the church wedding ceremony to be performed even after traditional wedding is done. But before the advent of the church by the western world,we africans have been going through the traditional marriage rights which consumates wedding journey. Many churches won't support couple performing their conjugal rights if they have not wedded in the church. Even the church recognises tradition and the state which is why you would be required by some churches to bring your court wedding certificate and bans of marriage from your village before you are wedded in the church. So do we now say that these three processes: court wedding, traditional and white wedding are the complements and not substitutes. Can't one do just one and be certified legally married? And the western world that brought religion for us,why won't they adopt our own traditional culture too? Must we copy them?. So here comes my question:
1: Must one be wedded in the church before you can have the canal knowledge of your spouse?
2: Can the three rights in marriage: court, traditional and white wedding be called substitutes or complements?
3: Must traditional wedding be done in the village or can't it be done elsewhere like those not staying close to home?
4: What is the moral backing or consequences of one not performing the three rights or at least two?
5: Among the three rights, which one supersedes ,rather which one is most important among the three?
I am not for or against but I just need to be cleared or for you to add your own understanding, wealth of knowledge and contribution to this thread.

Alleged missing $49.8bn oil money: Sanusi to Okonjo-Iweala: ‘I’m sorry’
BY OUR REPORTER ON DECEMBER 19, 2013 COVER
… Stakeholders clear NNPC of wrongdoing

 From ADETUTU FOLASADE-KOYI, Abuja

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi yesterday told a reconciliation meeting of stakeholders, set up to resolve the controversy over the alleged missing $49.8 billion oil money that he was “misled.”

He told the stakeholders’ meeting held in Abuja that he was misled by the Reserve Department of the CBN.

In fact, Sanusi reportedly apologized to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of  Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the advertised mix-up contained in his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan, sources at the meeting said.

At the parley attended by officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Department of Petroleum Resources(DPR) and Ministry of Finance, the CBN governor reportedly recanted contents of his earlier allegation that a whopping $49.8 billion  was missing from the Federation Account, having been unremitted by the NNPC as crude oil sales.

The meeting, which ended at 1.30am yesterday, was said to have reconciled all issues relating to the alleged missing money. Sources at the meeting said the CBN presentation was nothing different from the contents of the letter already published in the media. It was confirmed that after it was established that the CBN has no other information to add to what was contained in the letter sent to the President, the parley then turned to the NNPC to clarify issues.

Submissions by the NNPC immediately justified that it made necessary payments to the CBN.

The presentation by the NNPC indicated that contrary to the contents of the letter by Sanusi, there are other agencies of government, which collect oil revenue. Its officials stated that the CBN can only announce that a certain amount was missing after it has checked the amount paid in by all relevant agencies.

“At the end of the presentation  by the NNPC, the CBN governor immediately clarified that he was misled by the Reserve Department of the apex bank which he said did not give him a full view of all the revenue streams to the Federation Account.. He embraced and apologized to the Minister of  Finance for the mix-up,” said the source.

Meanwhile, appearing before the Senate Committee on Finance yesterday, Sanusi reiterated that the letter was not to indict the NNPC of corruption but that it was an invitation that was to lead to further investigation of the allegations raised in the document forwarded to the President.

He also recanted before senators that no oil money was missing from the Federation Account, adding that the only amount left to reconcile is just $12 billion.

His words: “I found it very unfortunate (that) it was leaked to the press and the answer is ‘Yes’, the CBN governor did send that letter with those contents. By way of those contents, the Central Bank and Finance Ministry and the government were very much concerned over the years at the very low rate of accretion to the reserves in spite of very high level of oil prices and in particular, depletion of excess crude account in spite of what seems to be very high level of oil sales.

“Now in investigation and trying to understand where those leakages were, our attention was drawn to a huge difference between what appeared to be export of crude made by NNPC and amount repatriated into the crude equity account of the Federal Government.

“What I would like to do is, given the progress we have made, to request that we be given little more time to continue with this process and come back with the final position that is a common position among us if the committee will so grant us…”, Sanusi prayed.

But the Finance Minister insisted before the Senate committee that the only money left to reconcile the accounts is $10.8 billion. “I just wanted to add that we found about $10.8 billion. He mentioned $12billion,” Okonjo-Iweala said.

Romance / How To Put Your Woman In The Mood And Spice Up The Dead Feeling To B Alive Again by erasokafor(m): 9:54pm On Nov 13, 2015
Whether you've been dating the same woman for years, or you've only recently hooked up with your babe, sometimes guys have to initiate the excitement in a relationship to ensure that their women remain sexually interested — constantly.

Such a feat is sometimes difficult to accomplish, and if you and your woman aren't on the same sex-drive page, chances are that getting her in the mood may prove to be near impossible.

But wait — there are a few ways to get her excited about lovemaking, or more specifically, five ways. Keep in mind, however, that for some women, spontaneity may be all they need to get worked up. If that's the case for you, then surprise her occasionally with a formal night out (and in) or a lovemaking session in the car.

Now, on to five other ways to turn your woman on:

1- Set the scene
Yes, it's time to get romantic; just don't get crazy. After all, lighting a candle is romantic; lighting 100 candles is overkill. Keeping subtlety in mind, set the scene for a romantic interlude. Light a couple of candles, put some jazzy sounds on the stereo and cook up something light and tasty with which to indulge her oral senses.

Of course, the dish you create can be something as simple as strawberries and cream, or as complicated as a soufflé. You know her better than I do, so find out what she likes and give it to her — and I mean that in every way.

2- Sexualize conversations
Adding a little spice to mundane conversation can be quite enticing for many, and now's your chance to get her mind working before you take her clothes off. Reveal some of the things you fantasize about doing to her; tell her how much you desire her body and miss her face on certain days; describe what the night has in store for her (and follow through — that's very important); or make her tell you about her innermost desires.

Occasionally turning your conversations into sexual matters will lead to better communication and of course, better sex. Describing scenarios and fantasies will awaken your senses and help you better understand what your woman wants.

Dress her up and turn her on all day...

3- Buy her outfits
Whether you're a big fan of sexy lingerie or a little black dress, buy her an outfit that will make her feel sexy and help you appreciate her more than you already do. Not only will she appreciate the fact that you took the time to get her a gift, she'll be thrilled that you want to sex her up.
Sneak into her lingerie drawer and check out the sizes of a few of her "garments." That way, you can ensure that she'll look good in it when you rip it off her body (after she's done doing her little dance for you).

4- Seduce her
It may seem obvious, but many guys aren't aware that seduction is not simply about kissing and touching; it has a lot to do with how you affect a woman's mind. A few sentences may be all you need to begin your seduction process.

Tell her something like, "I've been imagining myself undressing you all day." Or better yet, drive her crazy by revealing that you were reminiscing about the last time you made love to her and it gave you an erection — and now you want to show her how excited you are to see her.

Once her brain is adequately filled with sensual and sexual images, begin the sensory seduction. Kiss her mouth lightly, massage her breasts, kiss her waist, massage her vagina, kiss her inner thighs, massage her legs — keep your mouth and hands busy before your penis takes over. Even then, give her multiple sensations by constantly moving your hands and mouth around her body.

5- Look sharp
A lot of men tend to stop taking care of themselves once they enter long-term relationships (and yes, the same goes for many women). But not you; you're going to stay in shape, dress like a star, keep yourself well-groomed well into old age, and maintain the manners of a gentleman.

If you constantly look great, how can your woman not appreciate the man she has by her side? Make an effort to take care of your appearance; not just for her but for yourself as well. If you look good, you'll feel good, which will make her feel good, which will keep your love life at its peak.

keep on keeping on

Getting your woman in the mood doesn't necessarily have to entail all kinds of bells and whistles, but there's no doubt that doing things differently and keeping things fresh can spark a fire within her that makes seduction that much easier.
Who knows, maybe all this fancy footwork

When will he start creating jobs in Anambra state? There are more Anambra people in Ibadan than in Anambra state itself. Lagos and Ogun is another story

Why are Anambrians running away from their villages? Is it that bad in Anambra?

Instead of Igbos and people of Anambra facing death and disgrace in foreign lands, they should stay in their land.

Politics / Shocking!!! President Buhari Orders Closure Of Aso Rock Villa Church by erasokafor(m): 7:00am On Sep 04, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari has moved against Christian religious activities within the precincts of the Aso Rock presidential villa, a source familiar with the matter has revealed.

The Aso Rock Villa Chapel serves as the official church of Aso Rock where Christian activities inside the presidential villa are conducted.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to The Trent on Thursday, September 3, 2015 on condition of anonymity, heavily armed men stormed the Aso Rock Chapel on Sunday, August 30, 2015 denying worshippers access to the church.

“Normally, services begin by 7am at the church but when we got there, we met armed security men who said we cannot enter. They said they were acting on orders from above. We waited outside till a few minutes past 8am before they allowed us to enter,” the source disclosed.

A visibly embarrassed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who worships at the Villa Church, arrived the Chapel and could be seen managing to conceal a worried expression over the incident.

When our reporter contacted Presidential Spokesman Garba Shehu to confirm the development, he claimed he was not aware of the incident. “What you are telling me is news to me. I am not aware of this issue. There is a lot we are dealing with and I hope you are aware the church was handed over to Vice President Osinbajo. So please call Prince Laolu Akande, his spokesman to confirm this issue”, he said.

Further investigations by The Trent have revealed that Sunday’s move was the second in a series of brazen attempts to shut down Christian activities in the Villa.

Less than two months ago, the Children’s Church of the Villa Chapel where the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Oludolapo Osinbajo worships with the children was closed down on orders from above. According to our source, “security concerns were given as reasons for the closure of the Children’s Church.”

Attempts by this newspaper to reach Vice-Presidential spokesman Laolu Akande failed as his phone lines were unreachable at the time of filing in this report.

Crime / Church Members Chase Pastor From Church For Impregnating Maid by erasokafor(m): 7:21am On Aug 31, 2015
There was commotion on Sunday at the United Methodist Church, Mafoluku, in the Oshodi area of Lagos as members of the church chased away their pasto for allegedly impregnating his housemaid.
It was learnt that the pastor, Barkuma Andrew, was stopped from leading the church seven months ago when the housemaid, who was also a member of the church, Grace, had complications after aborting the pregnancy.

Andrew had lived with his wife, children, wife’s cousin, Favour, and Grace in a three-bedroomed flat on the church premises before the incident.
It was gathered that the members had petitioned the Central Conference of the church in Taraba State to investigate the alleged accusation.

Then sought the service of another pastor three weeks ago when the district reportedly failed to probe Andrew.
At 10 am on Sunday, members of the church showed up for Sunday service only to see that Andrew and some “unknown” people had commenced the service.
This angered the congregation which proceeded to chase out Andrew and his group from the church.

Men from the Makinde Police Division, including the DPO, were said to have intervened after the incident was reported at the station.

A member of the church and a former secretary to Andrew, Moses Sherima, said that the pastor sent his wife to her village after he impregnated Grace.
He said:
“My room is opposite pastor’s apartment and I was his secretary. When he started dating that girl (Grace), I called his wife’s cousin, Favour, on the matter. She said Grace used to tell her whenever the pastor had sex with her.
“At a point, I had to move upstairs when I could no longer bear it. The day that abortion happened, I was sleeping inside my room when I heard Grace screaming. I rushed there and saw blood coming out from her private parts. When the wife came back from one of her numerous journeys, he told her to send Favour away.”
Another church member, John Komboroh, said the church was embarrassed by Andrew’s conduct, adding that they were tired of his leadership.
He said:
“The petition of adultery against the pastor had been sent to the bishop at the Central Conference. He came here, but did not do anything about it. That was why we wrote to the main body, the Southern Conference to give us another pastor. His (Andrew’s) action is an embarrassment to us. We don’t want him again.”
The new pastor of the church, Reverend James Sunday, said,:
“We were about to start our service this morning when we met the old pastor and some unknown people already holding the service. I calmed down my people to avoid chaos.”
Another resident and a female member, who identified herself only as Blessing, said the pastor had once made sexual advances to her.
“My husband is not always at home. The pastor would call me in the night and asked if I had slept. One day he entered my room and gave me a soft slap on my back. I had only the wrapper on me.
“I was surprised and told my neighbours.”

Jokes Etc / Meet Ghanaian Who Knows Naija History Than Nigerians by erasokafor(m): 9:16pm On Aug 30, 2015
A Ghanaian student's first day in a Nigerian university.

It was the first day of the
session and a new direct entry student, Mensah, a
Ghanaian, joined the class in one of Nigeria's universities.
The Lecturer said, "let's
begin by reviewing some
Nigerian history." The Lecturer asked who said, "I
shall return to die in the land
of my fathers?" She saw a sea of blank faces, except
for Mensah, who had his
hand up. Mensah replied:
"King Jaja of Opobo, 1875"
"very good!" said lecturer.
Then she asked again, who
said, "The land use act will
feed the nation?" Again, no
response except from
Mensah: "Obasanjo, 1976."
The Lecturer snapped at the
class; "class, you should be
ashamed. Mensah, who is
new to our Country, knows
more about our history than
you do." The Lecturer heard a loud whisper: "Ghana must
go" "who said that?" she
demanded, Mensah put his
hand up, "Buhari 1984."
At that point, a student at
the back scornfully said;
"Hmmm, you think you are
smart?" The Lecturer glared
and asked; "All right! Now,
who said that?" Again, Mensah said, "Babangida to
Abiola, 1992." Now furious, another student yelled; "Oh yeah! Eat this!" Mensah jumped out of his chair waving his hand and
shouting to the Lecturer,
"Indian Mistress giving an apple to Abacha, 1998"
Now, with almost mob
hyseria, someone said; "You
little shit. If you say anything else, I'll kill you." Mensah frantically yelled at the top of his voice; "Chris Uba to Ngige, 2004!" The Lecturer fainted, and as the class gathered around her on the floor, someone said; "Oh shit, we're in Big trouble now!" Mensah whispered; "Chimaroke Nnamani, Ayodele Fayose and Lucky Igbinedon 2007" Someone angrily said; "Dont answer him, he is a fool" Mensah smiled replied; "Obansanjo to IBB, 2011" Now the Lecturer manage to get up and asks Mensah; pls, who are you? Show your self..
Mensah jumped, yelled and
said; Jonathan to BOKO
HARAM 2012
Class Captain shouted; "We are locking you up". Mensah gently replied... Buhari to looters 2015'
