Regarding the test in itself...there's no difference between IELTS GENERAL AND IELTS UKVI GENERAL.

the difference comes in the purpos...Wish to work in the UK? IELTS UKVI is the acceptable test amongst others

While IELTS General can be used in countries like Canada, Australia etc for work purpose.

The sweetest victory is the one that comes after the strongest battle...hang on bro, your testimony is just by the corner. Pin this! 📌

GeneraVieve:
Good evening nairalanders
Please I need advice,I have been going through emotional and psychological trauma at the hands of my mum, neglect my mistakes please.
I finished school last two years and went for service after service,I came back home to try and get a job but couldn't. After trying for months without success,I decided to try on this jobs that pay low like pos, barman, security, etc. Luckily for me I got one that requires selling travelling bag. I started it even though the pay was small. When I told my mum about it,she asked about the pay and I told her,she said I should quit it. I told her I can't since I don't have any other job,she started insulting me that how will a graduate be collecting 25k. I told her it is just for the mean time that something better will come out. She insulted me and called my elder siblings and they too insulted me. Note before I got this job,I was facing insults from every corner bcus I was jobless, then I didn't have 100# to buy card and If I ask my mum she will insult the living out of me. I have lost count of the times she called me a corpse.
So I started working and I started using salary to do some biz and I was able to to raise good money from last year till now.
I had to stop work because it was stressful and I didn't have time for other things. So for about two months I don't go to work. I started learning python,Forex and video editing. I dedicate some hours to each of them everyday. My mum started complaining that I should go and find work that how would I stay at home from morning till night,I explained to her that I am looking at the future, skills I can learn that will be beneficial to me later in life and not stressing myself for 25k. She started complaining, telling me that my mates are riding cars, building house and getting married. I told her that I will achieve all this soon. Recently my relative who is 2years younger than me,a guy of 21 bought an expensive bike and decorated his apartment,my mum will always compare me to him . She will say he is ambitious and I am not. This guy is into fraud and she knows it.
Something happened recently that has kept me indoors and I don't know if I can ever go out because of shame. My mom came back from work and started shouting loudly(she always does that so everyone around will hear) that I don't work and she is tired of feeding me(I feed myself and sometimes buy foodstuff for the house). That I am lazy, that I sit around the house doing nothing, that I should pack my things and go. That I must leave the house. I came to her and was trying to calm her,she said I should stop telling her to keep quiet.i went to my room and started playing gospel song, she came in and started shouting that I am playing song for her, that I should go to my own house. I have been ashamed and can't even leave the house because everybody heard all she was saying. Nobody knows what I am passing through bcus I hardly discuss with people. I am an Introvert.
It is only God that has kept me going,I have begged my mum to just give me latest July I would have gotten enough money to leave. It hasn't been easy, I have thought of taking my life because the shame is too much. I cant walk with my head up. She lies and gossips about me to our neighbours. I don't know what I did to her to be getting all this. Most times I just stay and shed tears. I just need prayers from you guys. Please pray for me,all this would soon end by God's grace.

I wrote Ielts and got a band 7 but I need to improve on my writing and reading. Pls it’s IDP better than British council? I wrote with BC and people are saying that I should go with IDP this time. Pls I need your advice.

No difference btw both. Just up your game 👍
Education / Re: IELTS: Share Your Experience, Ask Your Questions, Tell Us Your Score If You Can. by Erebeshe: 3:12pm On May 07, 2023
You need to hand the person your passport and also a letter of authorisation to pick on your behalf.

Not forgetting to furnish the person with your IELTS ref number and the date of test.

With those you are good to pick up.

Edicoco:
Good morning all,
I wrote my IELTS test (British Council) on April 1st and my test results has since been released online.

My problem is that it is over a month now and my test results has not been mailed to my home address. I have called and they said I might have to get it from their office at Ikoyi.

Does anyone know the requirements if I want to send someone to pick it up for me?

Thanks in anticipation

Thanks a lot.

SIRKAY98:

Its well, study your car very well sir, i know the state of my car, if anything happens to it, i will guess right what it is ,try and be thesame sir. anyways the solution is two: let your car thank be removed and remove all the fuel in it, then buy a new fuel pump and install it,
2.Buy new fuel pump remove the previous one and install the new one, while doig that drag the pump slantly that its does not face the botton of the tank directly and tie it with copper to anything that can hold it.
3. Take the car to an expert workshop.

This is exactly the problem with my car, I wish I could get this thing fixed once and for all. If you don't mind can you give me a detailed solution.

SIRKAY98:
This happened to me recently, i was about entering house when car could not enter inside gate,it switched off ignition and the car rolled back i held the brake. Okay i started it again car not starting again , i crank it till almost my battery is 15% car slept the entrance of the house till morning, called Rewire and mechanic they came and went straight to the fuel pump, they said it damaged i gave them money to buy another one, which they did and put it the car start again, I paid them they went their way, was on my way to Ikoyi when car went off on 3rd mainland bridge, i packed and put on my hazard light, i went to where they opened the pump and put back the previous one they removed, luckily it starts, which i managed to take the car to a safe place, when coming back car was jerking when i accelerate to 50kmph!I manage it like that to reach house. so last solution
I saw dirty in the tank and like water too, so i raised my pump and tie it to something in the tank, that the pump doesn't face down in the tank directly ,as this is where it sucks dirt, i raised it that it slants not facing down directly again, hence solution, have been using the car till now no issues any more.Mechanic and rewire has called me tire that has it spoiled i dint even answer them again.

luckydion:

Dirty fuel Tank: since it happened after fueling your vehicle. Dirt or water settled down the tank, your refill stirred them up and then cloggy the fuel filter in the tank causing the vehicle to jerks and go off.
Remedy: Wash your Fuel Tank, Clean or change the filter (it comes with the fuel pump) so change it if u can get original to buy separate. It may lead you to changing the fuel pump.... depend on the level now

if not checked, it will be every time u switch on ac then graduate to when you tend to accelerate more. (cloggy filter kills fuel pumps)
this is a simple solution.
If you can go for scanning it will definitely shows this out or other faults if there is any more.

Could this be the reason my Toyota corolla jerks whenever I want to accelerate?

Thank you so much.

I‘ll be going from Ota, but I’m not sure I can make it there before 8am🙈

Convenant University is the only center here, but it’s only paper-based.

Honestly, I would’ve preferred the CBT test.

If I may suggest, if you can afford to lodge in a hotel close to the venue that will be ur best bet. I learnt the hard way after missing the first test.
