Not everyone here, is dumb undecided undecided
This is the problem with you lot, You listen to half baked news, Let me lecture you a bit, in the Uk if you are found with loads of cash you will be interviewed under caution and the monies will be held for two weeks, if the Police fails to link such cash to criminality or tie it as proceeds of crime, the money is returned to the owner. In the case of the Ex minister it was £30k ordinary £30k, N60M in todays money fro and Ex Director. Someone knew she had the cash and reported so they went into her house to search and retrieved just £30 and she was interviewed and released, Money returned, This is a very Old story, since then she has been left alone. Your point again IS?

calm boss when last did you use an atm in this Nigeria let alone one with a working ac. Way back like 3years ago when some atms were quite functional they don’t work untill 9am when banking operations begins. Boss u really underrate the power ac draws, i had to run a direct connection from the phase supply to my house differently for my 3acs coz the current was affecting everything else and that is the current you are counting on a couple of pannels to deliver. Or should we talk about the effects batteries on human health as well? A guy on TikTok said whenever he’s passing close to the batteries he experienced severe headaches, no him alone his family. Haa
You are using the wrong AC, I got an Inverter AC today 1,5hp, it cost 500K buying and installing, Hisense its called, It works with very low current and requires no Stablizer, this one works well with Solar,Its just more expenssive.

The citizens are wiser now

They've discovered that working is advanced slavery to the government and unlike Nigerians and other immigrants, there is no home country to send hard-earned dollars to to carry out projects as consolation.

So they quit! embarassed
Ignore that post, that is not the reason, All over the world there is overcrowding once you have loads of laws to brake, the US is a typical example, The UK has a system where there is maximum of 2 persons in a cell, and thats not up to 20% of all the jails in the UK, the vast majority of them have single cells, So spaces are limited plus damages to the cells do not help. What they call problem in the west is actually domes day in Africa.

Hi

I understand that this thread has been here for ages and I'm hopeful that your still active on NL

I just wanted to ask if you used tierod while installing this ceiling? Most people have asked insist on using tie rod and that will defeat the purpose of buying pop design ceiling
Hi
Yeh I'm still active as ever, well No rod was used, its just nailed to the nudging as you will do in the Old ceilings. However to make it look better instead of using batons to line the nudges after installation you use a jointing tape to mask off the joints and fill with pop mixture for smooth finish. I hope this helps
NB as per the description bellow U cannot use the for under decking cos it will now cost you too much.

Not all, as far as I know.

I have read all on this platform. Maybe it was done behind his back or not, there are meters that when they install it for you, your units will burn faster than normal because debt dey on top am. Either from the apartment or one they spread around to cover their deficit. Know this and know peace.

Na issue of thief dey outsmart thief.
You did not understand what happened there, When you migrate from estimated billing to prepaid, the debt owed follows you. Also if your meter was installed FOC the cost of the meter in included in future debits. The new meter has to be registered to a property and if there is any outstanding on the said property, it get debited to the new meter,But if you house is a new build like mine, you get free 2k token along with the meter once you pay and register, I got 4 single face prepaid units and 1 three phase meter, for my house, so I'm not new to this.

Like I rightly said early on, I wasn't aware. It was the official who brought the meter also happens to bring the technician that install the meter for me. While I also noticed the meter not triggering off after a month it was installed I ran to him to complain and he told me probably the free unit that do come with new meter are still on it. Not long to that, while the meter hasn't trigger off, I recharge on the meter, it was then I noticed the meter was reading a negative value. I ran to him to still complain which he never heed to my complaint and I eventually got bursted by a meter monitoring team....
He got involved and he clearly told me he won't want a meter issue to take his job from him yet he's not giving a possible solution....

Dear nairalanders
I hope you all are well.
I bring to you this issue I am currently facing, a squad of meter monitoring team bursted my apartment and while a check was carried out on the meter, it was discovered that it has been internally bypassed which was totally unknown to me. After dragging back and forth, and the official who got the meter for me was involved, I was disconnected, meter removed and handed to me, wire taken away, and a sum of 451k was slammed as fine.
Recently, the official who got the meter for me reached out to me, he told me I should bring 30k to retrieve the wire and when I asked him what about fixing the meter, he'd brushed me off.

During the heated argument with the meter monitoring team, I was told some wires has been cut off inside the meter which I am sure it wasn't from me.

I would like to know if this meter can be fix by a technician so it can continue to work normally rather than taking it to their office where I don't know what else they would charge me in the cause of finding solutions to the meter.

Thank you.
you think we are all kids here right? you did the dirty and got caught, own up and move on, pay the damn fees lick your wounds and learn from it. Meters are brand new from the box when installed. They are unboxed and you have to register them, We all go fru same damn process, so this little pry 2 story you just told do not wash. You need a new meter ,so go and pay and acquire a new one simple,

I totally agree with this line of action. Similar rules apply to doctors as well.

A male medical student must be well groomed and clean shaven.
A female must learn to dress appropriately and not have artificial nails or unpacked hairs
Both should have their ward coats on during rounds etc
Don't you think sending her would have been more appropriate? and also if U was the teacher could you defend this action in a court of law?

I have said it in an earlier post, that crux you talking about could have been addressed differently and better however, a rule is a rule and the students should know better. they not kids na. Are they there to learn or to show off... what is wrong is wrong and since there was no definite policy on how it should be address, the lecturer will handle such in a way they best understand ( and am pretty sure it will be in the same way they were taught too). Now that the matter is public, maybe the school will n come up with a policy that will address it specifically. None the less, the students should understand that the profession calls for moderation, safety and accountability, else they should go for other profession where flaunting their assets is totally allow.
on the plenty thing you wrote there was no response to the topic however what I deduce from you is simple, THE TEACHER WAS RIGHT IN HER ACTIONS correct?

Fellow NL, it does in so many ways. it is when you in the practice that you will understand. Some for Safety reasons, some for convenience reasons, some for health reason. It is all about everyone's safety and if you dont start that habit from Nursing School, you wont be inclined to it at the hospital. It is all about best practices and its very easy to ick up contaminants and spread easily within the hospital, that PPE wont save you just because something like your hair is all over the place and not properly packed and protected and that can happen wearing braids that are waist length.
You are missing the point sir,We know the code of conduct and how it affects PPE, the crux of the matter is this, The so called code of conduct you claim here does it mandate the Lecturer or teacher to humiliate the student and cut her hair in full view of the class or to cut or remover her hair?is this lawful? These are the question you should be responding to .What do you think in your own view the teacher should have done?

How do you even justify this?
Yes, there are rules against keeping long hair/hairstyles but does the rule say the hair must be cut carelessness in the class?

Two wrongs don't make a right. Send the students home, give them mark deductions, suspend them, do anything but not this barbaric act.

This is abuse of power and position and it should have no place in a sane environment.
It is and I agree with you, this is barbaric , and you can even judge from the response on here, there are those within this small members on her who is supporting this barbaric action. This teacher should be arrested and made to be in front of a Judge to explain her action.

A nursing student recently shared a shocking video showing her lecturer cutting her long, braided hair, along with the hair of other students, after returning from the holiday break. shocked

The student, who returned with a festive, bold hairstyle, was met with the lecturer's decision to cut her hair, as long braids are reportedly against the school's code of conduct. According to the institution’s rules, students are not supposed to resume with such elaborate hairstyles, particularly when it may pose hygiene and safety concerns in a clinical setting.

One netizen weighed in with a comment that’s quickly gaining attention: "That’s what happens when you fail to recognize that every job has its own ethics and code of conduct. For instance, a nurse wearing long braids to a hospital or clinic while attending to patients wouldn’t be appropriate. Understand your job’s ethics, and you’ll find peace." shocked
