Infotubia9ja:
Good question..

I hope I try to explain this as much understandable as I can for you.

You see all those doctors here in Nigeria right, they are not doctors when the relocate abroad. They get jobs as home care aid to nursing sick people. That is a different occupation far far from practicing as a doctor in America or Canada or UK.
Infact you can as well apply to be a home care assistant as well with your university degree from Nigeria which is considered a normal equivalent to diploma here. You just have to pass the nursing exam which I know a 200level university student from Nigeria can read the Q&A and pass as well.
What you do is simply take care of old people or mentally unstable people and make sure they don't poop on their self or when they do you change them and also make sure they take their meds regularly and also monitor them so they don't harm their self.
Anybody can do that job infact that is equivalent to a factory job if you don't know only this time you be more careful because you handling a human life and can be arrested and you go to jail if you flop because it is stated there in your agreement you sign before you start working.

If you want to be a doctor in these countries, you have to apply for a medical or a nursing program/ degree where you undergo the process from the begining according to the countries teaching regulations and standards, pass the necessary exams, go for your training practice, write another exam if you fail you have to retake it which happens very often because I have friends who it has happened to. Then luckily you pass them you go under the process to be a certified nurse or doctor depending on the field you choose.

I hope you get the point now. Merry Xmas and season greetings.
Its people like you and folks in same school of thought that makes others abroad think all Nigerians a uneducated .Th Dumbb statement you spilled out there shows how educationally deprived you are and you wrote it all soo boldly. Let me as is this your self assurance to make you feel good that you did not try well enough in school or just upset for the success of someone or others?seriiously I wanna know.

For me, Nigerian degrees even if FIRST CLASS it's not actually useful outside Nigeria. Mostly in western countries i.e USA Canada Luxembourg etc.

That's why when people who relocate to this country who want to push on their professional careers always go back to school in those country.
Reason I guess is based on their educational and teaching standard requirements.
This is totally wrong, there are loads of degree that you use outside. What we do abroad is an upgrade, Do you think doctors go back to UNi once in the UK?
Even your BAM Degree is useful as well as your teaching Degree. As we speak there are online courses you can do whilst in Nigeria that offers you direct employment once you get here, the simplest one is CCTV public space and CCTV private space, hats the lowest one I know personally.

U can ask same question why Osun sons and daughters are associating with the igbos. Anyone can associate themselves with anybody but anyone can declare whom they are. You can not on one hand claim you want to separate from Nigeria and not allow others to separate from Biafra or Igbo.

I got this decking quotation from my engineer.

How do you guys think I could cut cost pls
(Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share)
The only place you are allowed to cut cost is Labour, Do not lay with Decking.
Few short cuts
1,Deck the stairs 1st that way you do not have to build wooden step for them to climb.
2 Buy 2nd hand planks and bamboo ,Liaise with builders in the area so you can get cheap used ones.3.Contracts the Labour of decking out so the Engineer finds his own labour and tools, you only provide materials,.
Iron roads/Sand/Cement/Sand cannot be compromised.
NB, Go and research the price of Materials yourself, you might find them cheaper than the quoted price

Do not deceive yourself please.
Nigerians with expired or no passports scamper to get their TCs everyday before they set off. You may check that yourself,if you have friends abroad.

Again. airlines make you feel like you are at the mercy.
Why do you lots always come on line to talk about stuff you dont know?
I flew from London to PHC Jan this year with an Expired Nigerian Passport, The Airlines all had a notice from the Nigerian FG facilitating this. I came with Lufthansa via Germany, The cons is, if you did not apply to renew B4 you left the Uk you may be charged N50k at the airport, however you cannot depart Nigeria with an expired Nigerian passport.

Can anyone enlighten me on this:
I drive a 1999 Toyota camry which as proven to be efficient and reliable over time, but the major issue I have is the rate at which the timing belt cuts. In a space of 6months I have had to change it like twice and the last change I made, I requested my mechanic to get the highest grade which he said goes for about #4000, despite that I still encounter this problem, could there be any other factor that could lead to the frequent cutting of this timing belt or what exactly. And also are there any tell signs one need to watch out for in order to anticipate the cutting of the timing belt as I have had to go through a lot of stress when this happen unprepared for.
Thanks for helpful responses.
Check your pulley system, its out of sinc.Check all pulley system for play, including the tensioners, if any of this is bad or wobbly there goes ur problem.

Editorialtimes:
Primate Elijah Ayodele Unveils 94-Page Prophecy for 2025, Makes Striking Predictions About Nigeria’s Political and Economic Landscape

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has released his much-anticipated compilation of divine revelations titled Divine Messages for the Year 2025 and Beyond. The comprehensive 94-page prophecy addresses critical developments expected in 2025, covering Nigeria's political dynamics, economic struggles, security challenges, and sectoral advancements. The compilation also provides insights into global events and outlines a spiritual call to action for Nigerians.

Political Predictions

Moves to Impeach the Speaker of the House of Representatives
Make this guy rest, we wise pass this. When you add politics to religion, you have fully departed from GOD.

Primate Ayodele predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would make moves to impeach the Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2025. He warned of potential political instability and public discontent, urging Nigerians to pray against this outcome.

Quoting his prophecy, Ayodele stated, “Let us rebuke the removal of the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of any State House of Assembly. Let us rebuke also what can cause the impeachment of the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.”

Tinubu’s Second-Term Agenda

Ayodele revealed that Tinubu’s government would focus on securing a second term, unveiling numerous strategies to ensure victory in the 2027 elections. He noted, “Tinubu’s government will develop five strategic formulas to fight the opposition. And if opposition are not desperate, they cannot unseat him.”

Seyi Tinubu and Lagos State Governorship

Contrary to speculations, Ayodele dismissed any possibility of Seyi Tinubu becoming Lagos State governor in the near term. He cautioned about rising tensions and exposed secrets as the 2027 elections approach.

Rivers State Politics: Wike and Sim Fubara

The prophecy highlighted a looming rift between Tinubu and former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike. Ayodele predicted, “I foresee that Tinubu will be forced to dump Wike as Wike will put in efforts in order to keep up. Wike and Tinubu will have disagreements. Wike’s sincere efforts will be truncated.”

Atiku Abubakar and Governor Fintiri

Economic Hardship and Civil Unrest

Sluggish Economy and Poverty

Ayodele forecasted significant economic hardship in 2025, stating, “The spirit of the Lord revealed to me that things will be difficult even as the economy will be sluggish. I foresee there will be deaths and political tension.”

Public Discontent

The growing economic hardship could lead to civil unrest, according to Ayodele:

Solutions for Poverty

He urged the government to focus on local manufacturing and exportation to mitigate poverty:

Call for Prayers

Ayodele stressed the importance of spiritual intervention, urging Nigerians to undertake a seven-day fasting and prayer session at the beginning of 2025. He listed five critical areas for prayers:

Sectoral Predictions

Energy, Power, and Oil & Gas

Ayodele foresaw challenges in the energy and oil sectors, predicting setbacks that could affect Nigeria’s revenue.

ICT and Education

While highlighting advancements in these sectors, he cautioned about policy missteps that could hinder progress.

Security and Terrorism

The prophet warned of increased insecurity and terrorism in 2025, urging enhanced vigilance and counterterrorism measures.

Traditional Institutions and Judiciary

Ayodele also called for prayers for stability in traditional institutions and fairness within the judiciary.

How do we explain the fact that many banks and ATMs in Lagos have 2 or more POS vendors within the same perimeter? Visit some of these ATMs and you'll find one agent standing right beside the machine waiting for customers.

Personally, I don't like cash, and that 20k daily max cash withdrawal is just okay. I sometimes go for several days without further cash withdrawal after a day of 20k withdrawal.

I'm comfortable with this because I don't go to the market to buy tomatoes, meat, onions and all that where most of the market women don't have bank accounts. Even some that have may not agree with the idea of transfer.

But the concern here is that how do POS operators source for funds to meet cash requirements of women who are majorly involved in these types of shoppings? Generally, banks should provide acceptable alternatives without imposing additional undue hardship on people.
