Has power improved 4. Are our roads better now 5. Has security improved 6. Has corruption gotten better. Mr President, remember that our police were rated worse in the world 7. Is the economy better. 8. A budget of 2 trillion deficit is laughable Just shaking my head and spilled my kunu |

1. Hate speach 2. Terrorism The middle belt youths went about addressing the ills plaguing their region legally and through constitutional means The Fulanis rather have openly issued threats, in what the very same government have used to proscribe certain agitation as hate speach and terrorist act. Indeed, a government of 97% vs 5% Indeed, a government that belongs to somebody and is answerable to nobody The Arewa youths issued same threats, no arrest The Fulanis have now issued same threat, no arrest nor proscribed will happen Indeed a government of the 97% vs 5% 73 Likes 1 Share |

Best news This is going to be the best news for the week..! Our impossed unitary style of governance carved by the military, fully adopted by the North has only led to lopsided infrastructures, appointments, over centralized power, dysfunctional and ineffective government systems, corruption unimpeded. What more, hence the 97% vs 5%, appointments without respect for national character, etc True fiscal federalism is the way to go for rapid economic growth and for government to be felt even at the grassroots. 26 Likes |

Reno Reno Reno Bros why you know complete the story. Make we help you touch up the reasons why... 1. Nigeria is now militilarized with all the different operation code names; python dance, crocodile smile, tiger twerk, etc charged against any protest wether peaceful. This alone creates fear factor. 2. Why did Tubaba alias TuFace withdraw his planned protest. Intimidation by security outfit even when the planned protest is peaceful. See what happened to grandpa Charly boy with his mumu don do campaign. Was it not peaceful? 3. Challenge the government of the day and see if the likes of EFCC and co will not be on your tail. I don't blame this shame and disgust currently running in the corridors of power I blame those who voted this shame and disgust into power I blame those that are blind and yet claimed they can see for allowing such disgust and shame to stroll into power Up until now, the blind still believe Lier Mohammed + PMB that; 1. Corruption is being fought even when not 1 case have been successfully prosecuted, but have rather used media trials to hype the gullibles, the blind believing there is a fight against corruption. Why are investigation of corrupt cases selective. The officials in PMB government and APC fingered with revealing corrupt cases were treated with kids gloves, i.e babarchi lawal, Timpreye a former governor of bayelsa, Ameachi, buratai and his fingered properties in dubai 2. Insecurity have been arrested, with boko boys now daring attacks in maiduguri. High way robberies, now returning. Militancy and agitation increasing, not to talk of kidnapping. Fulani jihadist raiders still having a field day 3. The economy is getting out of reccession, with inflation rate still high, unemployment rate still high, FDI highly skewed, etc 4. The mockery of democracy with people's right and voices trampled, and the insulting handling of the restructing call by appointing those who had vehemently voiced against restructuring to now head looking into the subject 5. Can we say buhari is clean. Look at the lopsided appointments into offices without consideration for national character, the claims of not having money to pay for his election form when infact he has children schooling abroad, his attempted denial of his shariah speech even when Al Jazeera interviewed him on it. His hate speech of the baboons and the dogs will be soaked in blood after loosing election, his certificate scandal and now the secrecy of his health status after he had promised that no government official will make medical tourism on state funds. To these blind, una mumu strong, no be small 59 Likes 6 Shares |

Aptly put.....and well said NOI To add a bite to this. The boys at the creek added pepper and salt to the injury inflicted by bubu by knocking down the country's big revenue earner....OIL. Cutting down production, cut down $ earned. The shortage in governments $ meant little money to defend the naira and at the same time handle expenditure. So for bubu to have mishandled the proper management of the creek boys meant dealing a blow to the country's main $ defender. |

Even though OBJ government was rife with lots of corruption allegations, his policies to date have been the best, turning Nigeria into an economic legacy. From OBJ the following happened 1. Revolutionised banking sector that brought in the likes of Zenith, the Elumelu's, the Ibru's, Diamond bank, etc 2. Revolutionised Telecom industry that brought in the likes of MTN, GLO and a host of mid sized to small sized telecom industries 3. Marginal oil field companies. Providing rooms and opportunities for oil fields considered uneconomic by the big players to be given to Nigerian companies. This brought in the expanding midwestern oil and gas companies and others like platform petroleum, etc 4. Small scale manufacturing companies got a life and places like Aba and Nnewi saw a reverberation 5. The Nigerianisation element came to fore, forcing big companies to give juicy management and ownership slots to Nigeria 6. The famous and outstanding fight that made the paris club write off the big debts we struggled with for years. Thanks to both OBJ and NOI 7. Economic policies which was followed through by both Yaradua and GEJ made Nigeria the biggest economy in Africa I give OBJ a big credit. If only corruption was nipped, you know the rest...!!! 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: My Govt Inherited Nothing From Obasanjo, Yar’adua, Jonathan – Buhari by erinolu(m): 9:41am On Sep 13, 2016 |
Apart from corruption...... Bubu you inherited the following sir. 1. A revolutionalized telecome industry that brought about the likes of MTN, an indigenous GLO....etc. These brought about massive employment and additions to our GDP 2. A revolutionary petroleum policy that brought in marginal field companies. That is why today Nigerians are now 1st hand players in the oil industry. Today we celebrate Seplat, a company that grew from marginal field company like Platform petroleum. Midwestern now has grown to own a massive oil block. These added massive employment and added sufficient GDP to the economy 3. Ohhhh yes, the banking industry got the boost with dogged policies that made hugh turn around in the banking industry in Nigeria. We left the archaic banking system to a digital banking industry and the likes of zenith was born 4. We had the benefit of our strangulating debt cancelled by the G7 club. Thanks to OBJ and NOI. It gave us good grounds and rating to kick off 5. Our micro economy was top notch, with programs organised by banks and the government such as you win to encourage entrapreneur programs 6. We had a systemic agric program that revolutionalized the agric sector. The e-wallet scheme came to mind. Little wonder the then minister for Agric was appointed AFDB president 7. Yesssss Bubu....you inherited the largest economy in Africa and the 10th largest growing economy in the world. These were confirmed with excellent flitch rating, which was no fluke. 8. There was peace in the Niger delta and security nationwide was tamed 9. What about the roads: benin - ore road, Lokoja - abuja road, abakiliki - ogoja, ikom - mbok, benin - onitsha 10. What about the rail sector you just commissioned. Who built and revamped it. 11. The more than 10 additional universities cutting across the nation and the special Almajiri school Please stop lieing to the teaming >180m Nigerians. Rather we see that you are pursing 2 main objectives. The Northernisation and Islamization of Nigeria. The drive to spend hugh USD to search for non existent crude oil in Northern Nigeria and the placement of Northerners in almost all strategic key positions; NPA, military formation, INEC, NNPC, Police, etc The mandating of CBN to sell forex to moslem pilgrims at 197 official rate when our manufacturing outlets struggles with parallel market rates The aliance with Saudi Arabia on an OIC coalition Haba haba haba Bubu.....haba nahhh 16 Likes 5 Shares |

The economy and others turned South because there was no continuity in the things that were working and keeping the GDP healthy by this APC government. 1. Almost a year to nominate a minister 2. The ministers appointed after a year ended up being recycled politicians. ..cheiii 3. Forex transfer freeze in and out of the country resulting in scarce forex and a spiralling of the exchange downward 4. Budget only recently approved in May 5. A set up of newbie economic team. Only recently the government appointed another team to advise and assist the government in reversing the downward economic trend Indeed....a healthy economy and country was handed over to Bubu....but he single handedly turned it south 1 Like |
Politics / I Didn't Hand Over A Collapsed Nation To Buhari - Dr. Goodluck Jonathan by erinolu(m): 4:55pm On Aug 23, 2016 |
Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has replied his critics who accused him of handing over a nation at the verge of collapse to his successor, President Muhammadu Buhari. . Jonathan recounted the achievements of his government to include, handing over a country that produced the richest man in Africa. . Jonathan said, “I took over a Nigeria that was the second largest economy in Africa with a GDP of $270.5 billion in 2009, I handed over a Nigeria that had grown to become the largest economy in Africa and the 24th largest economy in the World with a GDP of $574 billion. . “I inherited a Nigeria in which the trains were not working, and handed over a Nigeria in which citizens can safely travel by trains again. . I inherited a Nigeria that was a net importer of cement, and handed over a Nigeria that is a net exporter of cement. . In 2009 the richest Nigerian was the 5th richest man in Africa, but I handed over a Nigeria that produced the richest man in Africa. . ”The former President stated that democracy will continue to grow in the African continent if leaders value the process of elections more than the product of the process. . He said, “Even in the 2015 general elections in my country, Nigeria, there was potential for major crisis if I was not a President duly elected by the will of the people. . “The campaigns leading to the elections almost polarized the country into Christian vs Muslims and North vs South divide. . Most World leaders were worried that our elections will result into major crisis. Some pundits even from here in the United States said that those elections would spell the end of Nigeria and that we would cease to exist as a nation because of the polls. . That is where the leadership question comes into play. . As a leader that was duly elected by the people, I considered the people’s interest first. . How do I manage my people to avoid killings and destruction of properties? . With the interest of the people propelling all the decisions I took, we were able to sail through. . Indeed, we sail through because I refused to interfere with the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, having appointed a man I had never met in my life to run it. . My philosophy was simple. For elections to be credible, I as a leader, must value the process more than the product of the process. And the citizens must have confidence in the electoral body. 19 Likes 4 Shares |
