References1:Chaiii . Benin Republic cfa don improve, dem no even dey the list. That's the result of consistency. That small country of yesterday with one of the poorest currencies in the world is fast becoming a global tourist destination. Each line I visit Cotonou, I feel like I'm in Europe. See white tourists everywhere in their ęgbęjoda(uniforms) . The last time I visited, they came from as far as Canada on tourism to Benin Republic. Meanwhile, na naija dey japa go Canada. That's same mushroom country which the apc thought would see shege on hunger by closing their borders against us. The last time I checked, it's Nigeria shouting evimpawon ooo, with massive protests making global news media headlines, l'obatan |
hasbunallah:I still maintain my stand on people being lazy. What's the success rate among those who used agents after parting with their millions and those who did it themselves with their brains? I've read people's comments on this threads from when it was created, till this point and I can tell you the percentage of those who used their brains far outweighs those who used agents. You can tell from their testimonies. What I've read mostly are sad stories of naive applicants who used agents. You don't even need any agent for your POF. There are hundreds of loan companies who can offer that service at a flexible percentage interest or commission. Some do advertise here on NL sef. Go to students threads and you'd see them advertised by nairaland.com. You don't need any agent to search for a conference that's relevant to your field. There's 10times.com, which is a leading global conference site. I had used it back in the days for all the events that I had attended. Most of the partners we work with in Nigeria today were sourced from those conferences and exhibitions attended which, I got via 10times.com. I had used eventsbrite too but 10times is richer and nobody recommended or introduced it to me. I searched online and did my due diligence on it. What else do you need...? You don't even need a property or the map of your home town to apply for a TRV. Agents had dashed the hopes of many innocent Nigerians and they cannever enter the USA, Canada and UK again. Some may be aware of their continued refusals after requesting a GCMS Note, while some aren't. That's not good news. DIY remains the only option. If you're refused, try again.. you'd be surprised by the time you finally get through, you'd not spend one-quarter of what you'd have dashed an agent who would only kill your dreams. Enough said |
No be your fault to yearn this oga sule, but the kind of system we operate in Nigeria.so, Obi is actually sinking boreholes in some parts of Nasarawa State? This is great! You can imagine him commending sule for the ongoing projects. That's one of the qualities of a good leader. Tinubu never saw anything good about Jonathan but launching propaganda until he sponsored an election and snatched power, now destroyed everything built in the last 60 years of Nigeria's existence. |
id4sho:Will they ever listen? Let them keep using agents and allow their chances and dream grow dim. Our people are so lazy. How can I use an agent when I have an android phone and data to research? Visit quora, nairaland, read extensively, even print as much as you can...any information relevant to the type of visa you're applying for. Most of these agents aren't as knowledgeable as you are. They also visit here to tap information either as guests or as members. Always DIY but they'd never listen. They can consume their data on Netflix movies instead ![]() |
Angelfrost:Women aren't bad. They're very good to relate with. Good business partners and managers too. But always draw a line when intimacy rear its head. Cos the consequences are grievous. It may not happen immediately. This also goes to women when dealing with men. Control your emotions and feelings. It's the devil's tricks to pull you down. Hardly would you hear that someone died or was imprisoned over food or alcohol, or fame or excess legit riches. The cause is either men or women |
Good. LP must always leads by example. Let those who want to defect go. Nobody cares. LP can't be distracted from its plans for Nigeria, unlike, the party who came under the umbrella of change and renewed hope but are now rendering Nigeria hopeless |
Holluwhakemmy:You spoke my mind. He's a stingy man to the core and late Gbenga Adeboye even mocked him on this in one of his jokes. He released an album mocking him as well. Adewale Ayuba had drummers. They're well made. King Sunny Ade who the PR guy ignorantly mentioned built houses for his band members , likewise Chief Ebenezer obey and late Barry wonder. Barrister tried discouraging his boys from Japaing after the first experience which happened decades ago when his band members ran away after a show abroad by settling them well. K1 is known for being stingy. Business is business, oh yes! But can someone dance to a music that's watery? It takes a team spirit to produce good music with all members playing their roles. Your voice alone can't produce good music as a musician. K1 should rather look at the allegations and do the needful. Black man with wickedness and greed. |
madridguy:My friend, as you com bone apc patapata bayii. Any reason? |
Arobaga:jau-jau doesn't govern a nation. I've always questioned the man's intelligence. Cos he doesn't behave intelligently |
All these news coming from the apc-led administration just taya pesin. They're even far worse than the pdp we once castigated |
oz4real83:Are you kidding me? A country like ours signing a MOU on such a major infrastructure with such a worthless company with no experience? I just pity this generation. They'd be worse if given the opportunity to govern. This your comment is a proof. |
They're learning from the giants of Africa. Obviously, the politician wanted to go there to loot. Thank God for the mixed race in South Africa. They'd have been worst than Nigeria as a country in good governance and development. |
killsmith:Count me out. I warned them not to vote this man but they kept saying awon lokan, as if we too don't crave a better Nigeria |
Namaster:You forgot the interior minister Tunji Ojo? His company which he claimed to have left as a director was awarded a huge contract. We don't even know where that would end. This was exposed shortly after Beta Edu's saga. When I keep saying we knew the reasons we didn't allow Tinubu win lagos, people would be wondering how? This is one of the many hows. We know him better ![]() |
Daejumong:Pastor Dare Adeboye died as a result of poison which had deeply affected his system. It was revealed that a key member of the church did it and this affected him for long, causing him to depreciate physically. They poisoned his dad too but God rescued him. We thank God for his much He had used him since then, globally. In the midst of God's people are people of evil. |
Most of them are taken away by God as soon as their mission is fulfilled. Bishop Idahosa knew when he was going to die. He told his wife he had fulfilled his mission amd ready to go now. She thought he was joking. She watched him die peacefully. Apostle Ayo Babalola, the founder of CAC also said the same. The day he died in Ede, he was in a church program. The robe used to cover the pulpit was torn into pieces with a strange hand, and he left . People were in shock. |
alphaNomega:god can never be as real as God. I believe God and i teust in His healing power. If you live an unholy lifestyle, you'd not be immune to sickness. Living holy isn't easy to many but the truth is, it's the easiest thing, once you give your life to Christ completely. I can't remember the last time I took ordinary paracetamol. My blood group is O+ while my genotype is AA. My likes are prone to malaria yet, I'm very healthy. When I was still committing sin, I used to fall sick always. |
The do as I say, jaujau president |
Kaymanz:So sorry for your loss. I had an old colleague too, who emigrated via same route but died late last year. None of his siblings could attend his burial for 2 reasons. Being a Muslim, they felt there was no need to keep his body for too long before being buried so he was buried within 2 days according to Muslim rites. Secondly, applying for a visit visa for that purpose could take a long time so, they jettisoned the idea of attending. They only attended virtually. I wouldn't know if there's any visa type for such an emergency travel from the IRCC's coffers. I leave the gurus in the house to shed more light. My condolences pls 🙏 |
House34:Let me respond to you on the Nigeria's issue, so it doesn't look like I'm ignoring that side. I had lived and schooled in the west. With my experience, you don't have to fast, pray or even observe vigils for certain things to work. You can't compare there with Nigeria. The reasons it seems prayers aren't answered or why Nigeria isn't moving forward are quite simple. 1- we practice religions as a culture or tradition rather than as faith. I'm a Christian, I'm Muslim...but do you observe God's commandments? Aren't you a thief, an adulterer, a fornicator, a killer, a liar, a hater? You can't observe any of these and think of progress cos God abhors them. 2- Nepotism and Bigotry You see a qualified personnel who can fill a position, but because another person is your tribesman or from same religion, you're supporting him knowing he's less-qualified. In Western countries, anybody can occupy a position provided he/she merits it. Its not the same here. There are positions held by Nigerians in the UK, US and Canada but on merit. Here, its not the same scenario. The earlier we imbibe merit, the better for us. No amount of fasting and prayer can work in this case. This is why things work in the west where you have a square peg in the square hole. 3- Lack of Love and Unity You want to be the only one progressing. Its you and your family alone. Whereas, a white man or woman could adopt an African child and will all his/her entire life-savings to the child. Western countries would award scholarships to Africans who don't even contribute anything to their economy, all in the name of love. They encourage you to go back home to develop your country afterwards. I'm one of those beneficiaries. Some scholarships are 100% which covers everything. They say come to Canada our country and live/work. Yet, we have rich and mighty here who only stash money in underground vaults. No amount of prayers or fasting can move any country forward in this case. God, the creator of the universe doesn't act this way. God is love. All we need is follow the rules...both divine and human rules. Then, we'd pray less and do more in developing Nigeria. Otherwise, we still dey play |
House34:unrighteous living could is different from unrighteous living will. My grammar is simple and clear enough. If you arranged fraudulent documents and you still got approved, good luck to you but you'd still meet your waterloo along the path of life. This I know. My travel experience could play a great role in the assessment of my visa, oh yes! But not when an error is sighted. I don't want to cite instances here. Even if you hold visas of all the powerful countries and you travel 10 times in a year , you won't be spared once an error is sighted. This is where God's favour works for you. |
manikspears:Firstly, you must be an Ibadan indigene to qualify as a mogaji. Yorubas ways of doing things is a proof we don't really need western system of leadership to progress as a nation. We had our own system of government before the colonialists came. A mogaji is like a wards Councillor in Ibadan. There are otun olubadan, osi olubadan, Balogun, etc along the ladder...similar to the president, vice, senate president, etc as we have today |
House34:You're getting it wrong. Errors not wilfully commited isn't your fault. God sees the heart and if you seek God's face, it would be overlooked. Any Fraudulent applications, God will frown at. Praying in that case is a waste of time. Unrighteous living could affect the outcome of your visa, including your entire life sef, it takes a believer to understand this Ordinarily, no visa officer will overlook mistakes due to rich travel history or amount of visas on your passport, contrary to your opinion. It's a Nigerian way of thinking. They're employed to scrutinize visa applicants and adjudicate. If they just want to be kind to you, they'd reach you for clarification, to prove your innocence otherwise, you'd pay dearly for such errors committed, even if you have all the visas of the countries in this world. Note that pls. But with God's favour backed with prayers, they'd be overlooked....my experience tells me so. |
Twoclans:Age, nothing special. They usually get very old before becoming olubadan cos of the very long queue. You'd have to start from mogaji, in your community. Many don't even make it to Otun, Osi or balongun talk more of ascending the Olubadan throne before their death. |
RIP sir. I and the late monarch met at a major event last year. He was such a humorous man. RIP, Ali Iwoo!

Better late than never. If they keep silent on such a key issue next time, they'd be recalled back to their constituencies. What are they afraid of? By the time senate suspends Ningi and all senators who stand with him, there'd have been chaos and rowdy sessions due to the number of those in support of him but were suspended as Ningi. They'd not have e prevailed. They'd have be curious next time before stealing the people's money, which they called budget padding. Stealing is stealing. Shameless APC |
LadyCaplin:100% correct! I'm a living witness. I don't have to reply every moniker cos our level of faith or belief isn't the same. Some are pagans while some don't even live righteously. Responding to them would amount to a waste of time. Just yesterday, I picked my passport at the German Embassy for my schengen visa. It was multiple as usual. Guess what? My tax details weren't submitted alongside my application but I prayed for God's favour. They don't joke with this vital document but my visa was approved. I wasn't called to submit it cos that would have meant an automatic refusal. I didn't have a recent one due to some FIRS anomalies. Again, there was a major error on my biodata as quoted on my Invitation letter by our business partners, which I later found out after I had submitted my application...I believe God and I want Him to deal with me harshly if I'm lying on this. I simply commited it to God for His favour in the sight of the VO and it all went well |
NEIGHBOUR:https://punchng.com/meet-wale-edun-revered-economist-named-tinubus-finance-minister/?amp Wikipedia will also help you out, in case the above doesn't suffice. Wale Edun founded the Chapel-Hill Denham in 1994. Shame on you for defending corruption. If I become a political office holder today, I resign my appointment as the founder of my company and appointment a trusted replacement. Its worrisome how you guys think. Most of you, if given the opportunity to serve, would destroy everything, given your stance on corruption. |
DoTheNeedful:You'd explain taya. When tinubu was running for presidency, he ceased to be the owner of alphabeta and put someone else there . Its allowed but You'd need to approach the CAC to effect this change. That doesn't change the fact that, he owns the company. Wale edun mustn't appear as a director of any company before holding that key position. He must put someone he trusts to replace him so he doesn't go against the constitution. The minister of interior also said he ceased to be a director of the company that got a contract under this regime as well. If Wale edun owns a company of which he's no more a director due to his position, that doesn't change the fact that he owns it any day. Once he leaves politics, he'd go back to his company and asks the one standing in for him to leave. Go grab a copy of our constitution and read, instead of defending corruption here. Mods don't need to vet this. Rather, you should always seek knowledge before defending corruption |
WeddingParol:Read the newspost again with eyeglasses. Maybe you'd edit your post thereafter |
uchennay:You're right. But that's what has always worked for me as a person. Suffice it to say, God factor has always worked for me. I don't know of others. I had made some costly mistakes which were overlooked. There was a time my secretary filled junks in my IMM forms despite giving her instructions on how to fill them. I give her free access to my computer and permitted her to submit my form on my behalf. It was while i was going through my files I saw those errors. She simply said she was sorry but the deed had been done already. My visa was approved. I do fast and pray, oh yes! That's what works for me. I had a friend back in the days . We used to apply together as students. Mine was approved and I went to school while his wasn't. He was better prepared than I was , with all manners of heavy Bank statements cos his parents were rich. Plenty property docs, etc. One day he called me and asked how did I go about mine. I told him before submitting his application, he should just pray for favour, just 3 days prayers. He said he had never fasted before but would try His visa was approved, with same documents as those submitted the first time. That time, they used to process students visa in Accra. We're just sharing experiences here and am not trying to preach any religion to anyone. It's just like when someone's visa application got approved and people asked, please can you share your experience? That has always been my experience as an applicant and that's why I'm sharing it. Sometime ago at the German Embassy, I got 3 years, 4 years multiple when I wasn't a student applicant. Its very rare but I got it. In 2005, a friend got a scholarship to school in the UK. He was so fortunate. It was gbenga Daniel scholarship. A few days to his visa appointment, I told him guy please fast and pray oo cos scholarship is not an automatic ticket to visa approval. He asked me to mind my business. There were 2 girls who had not even visited him for 2 years. The day one came, he slept with her. A few days later, another one who once turned him down came. He slept with her . On getting to the embassy, his visa application wasn't approved. He came back feeling sober. I told him not to worry, just eschew any form of lustful lifestyle, fast and pray. He went back a few months later and his visa was approved. I've got more instances and there's no way such things would happen and you'd not want to share. You can't say its a coincidence. God factor works for whoever can try it. |
