.....a good reason I'm purely in support of the note re-prints. I wish the federal government could ransack all politicians homes too, starting from bourdillon. They'd rake up trillions of dollars in weeks. Buhari's age and ill health really dealt with his administration. I could recollect his rule in the 80s. Again, in democracy, there's a limit to what you can do and get away with. Military no send anybody. Our politicians are our worst enemies. I learnt there's a limit to what banks can accept now in cash. CBN's eyes are everywhere. I see many losing billions of cash soon. They have them.stashed in the various vaults in their homes. There are thousands of houses in abuja that aren't occupied by anyone. Na money full am. You'd see stern military, heavily armed, taking siege over them. |
AJ, you've done your bits. You're one of the world legends and your name has been written in gold for a lifetime. You had no bad records all through your career. Fury can't even wear your shoes on this. Your decision to not fight him shows you're not money conscious. Someday, someone too would stop Fury...maybe usyk...and the game of boxing continues. Anyone who thinks it's easy should garner those belts like you did. You fought the high and mighty...no single defeat until a couple of years back and recently. You're a great man ! |
Xscape1993:How? Someone who would win under the pdp and later port to labour? Just watch. Ortom too would do the same |
oikirodah:Hear this fact...Makinde will never support Tinubu. Attack me but later |
dominique:Have you seen a video of Davido’s mansion on banana Island before? Did you watch a few days ago where himself, chioma and late ifeanyi were swimming? There was nothing like a childproof around it and that alone is punishable in line with the dos and don'ts guiding a swimming pool ownership in a private home. That's negligence. It's just like a house razed down by fire and people got killed in the inferno and there's no safety measure in place, including a fire extinguisher and you're saying the home owner wouldn't be punished for that just because he wasnt home when the fire accident happened ? That's why we call them a developed county. They don't joke with safety. A senior customs officer collapsed and died at the Nigerian airport recently. In our airports, no AEDs on the wall to resuscitate a collapsed being , nothing. Before the port health personnel couid arrived, he had passed on. Overseas, the management of that airport would pay heavy damages. We're not safety conscious in Nigeria and its because of the kind of the system in place It would be on record if he had fire extinguisher in his home or not. There's a company I'm change of its maintenance. You pay for this periodically. |
nedekid:Arrested for negligence of course. Unlike here, you don't just build anything over there without due approval from the government and there are rules binding on any form if building, including a swimming pool...if you're owning an ordinary pet, there are rules you must adhere to. If you kill that pet , you're going to be treated in line with the rules guiding pets. Why not build a poolproof around the pool as a homeowner? This could have prevented the tot from nearing the pool in the first place. The caregivers would be made to face the law in line with the law binging on them and terms of the contract breached no doubt. I remember the neighbour who was arrested after his car was hit and the baby inside the car had a minor injury. He was arrested for not putting baby on board sticker to have cautioned whoever was driving from behind ....imagine that. He paid a fine. In a similar case elsewhere, a child had a minor accident after the car was hit from behind because there was no babyeat on board. One could have said , but only the driver needed to have been arrested instead of the owner of the car...he was charged for negligence and he paid handsomely for that. When you have kids at home, the onus is on you to build a poolproof around it , especially if you have kids living with you. This precautionary measures must have been indicated by the relevant agency in charge of swimming pool approvals, including life jackets for kids. Same applies to hotels. Some would tell you not to near the place if you don't know how to swim or you have a kid with you. You'd even see signs with a cross bar on a kid on approaching the pool. Some would have the details of the pool, including its depth on the notice board. An instructor would need to be notified before you near it. Do we have such measures here and if we do, do we adhere to them? |
dominique:I didn't day They'd be prosecuted. They'd be arrested for negligence. They were said to be around when the boy got drowned. Where were they and what where they doing? Would the caregiver be prosecuted? Most likely, because they were employed to give care to the boy. That's a breach of contract. The boy was naive...too young to he left alone to play around the pool. Why didn't davido build a poolproof around it, knowing he had a tot in the house? That would be part of his offence What a cute boy! |
In the US, Davido and his girlfriend would be arrested. Life means nothing here |
The man with 30 children . What do you expect? He doesn't have any other business than politics, so he can marry as many wives as possible. The day politics becomes less attractive, is when we'd begin to think of a progressive and productive country. He was blunt in opposing a regional government during the constitutional conference. How would someone like Doguwa be seeing free money once Nigeria returns to a regional givernment with just a few representing each region at the centre? |
Sammy07:AMIN! |
Sammy07:All join my broda. Iroyin buruku ni. I'm not happy at all |
blaise26abj:Too bad. I was discouraged from building a pool after I had received estimates from 2 companies. I read of a similar incident a few years back and that discouraged me. That portion is now a car port in my house. If kids must swim, we go out for swimming lessons and engage an instructor and i must be there. During holidays, my relatives' kids always pay us a visit. They could stay for days. My boys are so smart. I no wan wahala. My kids , my joy. |
Sammy07:But it's the truth. No parent wouid hear of this and feel happy. It's a terrible loss. My friend who went through insemination and IVF to have a child ( the only child) after several failed attempts won't also be happy about this sad news. It was my personal advice to parents and would-be parents. I told my wife bluntly that I'd not build a pool in my house again, after I had earmarked a wide space for it, a few years back. A nairalander who's my architect would bear a witness to this if he reads this post. I was discouraged after I read a similar news where a child got drowned in a pool. I told my architect to inform his team to turn that portion to a car port |
Too bad. Please my people, even if you can afford a swimming pool, for the sake of your joy...your children, don't build one. If you must take them out for swimming, please engage an instructor. Kids are God's priceless gifts. This isn't good news at all and I hope people would learn from this unfortunate incident. The other day it was Dbanj's son. This careless habit must stop please. Swimming pool in your home isn't by force ![]() |
If you can't manage a swimming pool due to your tight schedule, please , don't dig one. If you have kids around you who aren't knowledgeable enough to swim on his/her own, forget having a pool in your house Don't be too busy to attend to your kids, whether you have a swimming pool at home or not Children are priceless gifts from God, guide them jealously. If kids must swim, take them out and engage a swimming instructor to handle them with close supervision due to their naive nature. They often think a pool isn't deep because of the way it looks from the surface. I almost got drowned in a pool in Benin Republic years back in a hotel during a friend's birthday party on an invitation from Lagos. If it were to be a kid, he wouldn't have survived it. The other day, it was Dbanj's sin and now Davido’s...bright and handsome kids... Please my people, we shouldn't allow fame and money to control us. They don't have mouth. We should take charge of our home and life with utmost care. RIP handsome Ifeanyi Adeleke. ![]() May God give the lovebirds the strength to bear the loss |
Where is Adedibu, the alaafin molete today? I reserve my comment on Tinubu |
Orilę ede wa naijiria. What has befallen you? If I should say what's on my mind to these greedy and useless leaders right now, people could be shocked and it could still happen. This country isn't progressing, no thanks to their inordinate rules |
ATLIEN2027:I bluntly refused a swimming pool in my house. My sons play a lot and we always host kids from relations during holidays. If they want to swim, we can arrange to take them out for swimming under strict supervision of instructors. People won't still learn. We always do things to the extreme in this part of the world. Oyinbo wey invent pool sef no dey abuse am like us. I thought people would have learned a lesson from Dbanj son's pool tragedy. Most of our celebs are daft. They allow their useless lifestyle and fame to control them. I pray the little boy survives it |
Must you go to night clubs? Ijajumo kii rinde osan, ęni a biire kii rin loru |
Yahaya is such a noise maker. He knows those destabilising kogi in his cabinet. Kogi has always been unlucky with leadership. |
I'd rather vote gbadebo Rhodes-vivour |
Looks like auchi people. |
Nigerians are daring LP ![]() E go shawk dem |
Bukola94:Yes, a pastor marrying 2 wives...weird. end time is near |
Emilokan....one day, plentiful lies |
Emilokaaaan! One day, plentiful lies ![]() |
One day, one sad news from ogun. May God help us. Things are really hard. I hope people would shun bigotry and vote wisely next year. The wife could be overburdened by the bills...maybe she's the one fending for the family |
Emilokan and mikano boys can lie? Desperados |
In a particular state in Nigeria, that project would gulp 3 tines the actual cost grin. All these nonsense will stop very soon. We're taking our fight to the polls. No time for name-calling anymore |
True...same way atiku can't buy me. I'm priceless. We will meet at the polls. No time for name-calling again. May God allow the election hold. Did Jonathan's dollar largesse on Afenifere and our Obas have any impact on the 2015 polls? People decided whom they felt should be their leader at the polls unpersuaded. That's what will happen next year. |
Amazing! |
