Simply put, he came back to his former club on a rescue mission. Great job |
SUCKCESSFUL:You can only make every moment a blast when you have the resources to do so, even if you know what tomorrow would bring. These people went to work because they needed resources to keep up with life. |
Horrible! This is beyond incompetence, going by the companies who are involved in the site construction. I'm not leaving out a terror attack in this case. How can a similar building collapse a few miles apart in less than 24 hours? Lagos state government should look inwards, beam their intelligence on key areas without hiding anything. |
motymop:All the necessary things were done, even with proofs according to the information provided on Channelstv a few minutes ago. Construction projects carried out by competent companies. Have you been to the site before to see the list of those companies involved? I'm not leaving out incompetence but In this case, a thorough investigation needs to be conducted. |
Dear Lagosians, something struck my mind when I first heard of collapse of the 21-storey edifice on Gerrard Road under construction, into which the developer got trapped alongside his friends and staff. The earlier we wake up and spread all our intelligence nets wide to unravel the cause , the better for us all. In retrospect, this kind of unfortunate occurrence had been orchestrated by terrorists in the past across the globe. There had been bomb explosions here in Lagos in the past, which in the name of damage control had been attributed to petrol pipeline explosion in an area where the pipeline didn't Pass through. My people, this isn't the time to sleep with our 2 eyes closed . It's very dangerous. There's nothing terrorists can't do. Just in less than 24 hours after the collapse of the building, another one collapsed in same ikoyi area....a point to ponder. Mr Osibona is an international developer with similar structures erected in the UK, still standing strong and successfully completed. I shook my head when some people were blaming this guy and his Italian friend who also was a co-contractor in that project for the collapse...Italian construction companies pride themselves in high-rise building constructions globally. Cappa and D'Alberto is one of them and they've been with us for a long time now. I think Governor Sanwoolu needs to be taught how to manage information in emergency situations. This is the second mistake he would make after end sars which is a proof of his incompetence. From... there was no building approval to...an approval was actually made...always flip-flopping. He's our Governor and somebody needs to tell him this, nobody is above mistakes but such shouldn't be allowed to repeat itself again and again. There's no need for blame game. If I were the Lagos state government, instead of playing politics, I'd send intelligence team all over to investigate the cause of this collapse without hiding anything. We can't allow our state to be ridiculed by any group of people who believe the best thing to do to a peaceful environment is cause pandemonium and loss of lives. In a sane environment, tireless efforts would have been ongoing by now, just to ascertain the root cause of the problem and tackle it head on. Unless our government does something drastic to unravel the cause of the unfortunate incident, we'd just wake up one day and see that 3rd mainland bridge had become flat on top of the lagoon and some people would be blaming Julius Berger for not doing a good job or getting an approval before constructing the bridge which is one of the beauties of Lagos. Then, it would be too late to open up cos casualties would be too numerous to count, God forbid. Enough said! |
FalseProphet1:See you. If I talk much now, your likes would attack me. I smell a rat in the collapse. There's nothing terrorists can't do. He had achieved several of its kind overseas, including in the UK. I hope this isn't just the beginning of many of such collapse in our Lagos. |
Mary08134:I have read several suggestions and pieces of advice here. I'm not saying you shouldn't try them but I doubt if they'd work. There are 2 main issues causing mouth odour. Mouth odour doesn't come from the mouth as many have wrongly posted. It originates from your stomach. Do you have any respiratory issues like asthma? Do you have ulcer, peptic or any form of ulcer? The above are the main causes of mouth odour. See your doctor, tackle the causes and you'd be fine. Asthma can be managed. Odour will stop if well managed, ulcer too |
OMG! People, hope this is not an orchestrated act...a lot of people just see this and look the other way. This is just my opinion cos this guy had other similar buildings overseas which are still standing strong. I urge lagos state government to begin to think out of the box in a strategic way by putting nose on the ground , spreading all their intelligence nets around. There's nothing a terrorist can't do. We shouldn't sleep with two eyes closed else, another orchestrated act is imminent. |
Tinubuadvocate:How would you see sense in my post, when you're the advocate of a senseless man in our state? |
I spotted our handsome man ![]() |
Tinubu errand boys |
Tinubuadvocate:You can't erect that kind of edifice without the knowledge of tinubu, not even in such an eyebrow area like ikoyi. Forget all the media threats and investigation order . The matter will die naturally. |
virginchaser:They're all tinubu errand bois |
tolue42:Can he swear by his origin in iragbiji that he doesn't know anything about about the building? |
Dem don dey enter Abuja small small. I told my friend recently that Abuja is the riskiest place to live in Nigeria. No loose guard cos they can strike anytime. Sometime in September, we went for a presentation in abuja, now passed under the berger bridge to the other side where we boarded a taxi to the presentation venue . On our way back, we learnt that 2 of the police we met under the bridge while passing in the morning had been gunned down by gunmen. I was like...no be those officers wey dey secure that place , wey sat close to their patrol car don die so? |
Bloggers, food don readi oo |

doggedfighter:True . But tinubu and his cronies are busy erecting high-rise buildings there |
victorcalm:You've said it all. That's the governor some blind people voted for. He lies a lot. I knew all the initial giragira was just a move to save his face. |
PrinceOfLagos:They can lie for Africa lool. |
Sanwolu oga awon flip-flopper. Giragira man, no action. Mrcheew |
Maryliola:Fake story from someome who registered on nairaland today |
uptimum123:Won tan ę |
ajl:He could be the friend of the owner of the collapsed building who came to visit him from the UK. It was said on Channelstv a few minutes ago that both the visitor and the owner are trapped in the building and the owner had been declared missing already. They came in inspection i guess |
Sad. I learnt the owner of the building and his friend who came from the UK to visit him got trapped in the building. He's been declared missing already. |
gazza07:That's if found alive. From the information I'm gathering on Channelstv news @ 10 which is still ongoing, he was in the building with his friend who came from the UK during the collapse. He's been declared missing already |
Lollittaa:For anyone to sink that type of building in ikoyi of all places, then he must be Tinubu's ally. They'd not do him anything. Sad |
Employ cappa and dalberto or JB, na lie. See yah life outside. Most of the island and ikoyi skyscrapers are potential death traps because they were built by quacks |
