Eruditor should be holding his face in shame.

Pep signing Alves just proved that he failed last season, as aging players can no longer stand as an excuse. cheesy
You bloviate a lot. Did Barca not regret letting Dani go going by his last season's performance? He was adjudged the best RB in the champions league that says a lot!

Of course the signing shocked me but I am guessing Dani is coming to act as a mentor to someone younger that Pep hopes will play that role in the longer term. I still expect him to sign a younger RB and the news has been awash with the prospects of signing Kyle Walker. Perhaps he is waiting for Tottenham to sign Kyle's replacement before they finalize the deal.

Stop getting excited. When Mou got E'too in his 2nd stint in CFC after chasing Rooney through out the transfer window was it not clear that E'too was not his first choice? We have heard the Bellerin rumors and the Kyle Walker one. I am sure Dani is here as the plan B.

Besides, Dani understands Pep's game and was looking pretty fit last season.

Eruditor: Pep... your right backs are aging... get a younger faster and dynamic right back...

Pep: *signs Dani Alves*
Did he sign him?

I don't delve into rumors. Today I am hearing they are making a bid for Aubemayang. Don't know what to make of it until it is confirmed.

Bron can't sack anybody,i won't deny that he has some influence on rosters and stuff but we've seen that many times before.
the nets are always the team i know that always drive prices up,they did it to the blazers am expecting them to do it again if you're going to have this good a team that luxury tax gats bite.

i hope you're wrong about this dismantling, who is going to challenge from the east ?
if it happens then, bron has my blessings to go west then.
Normally if the issue was about salary I am sure Griffin would have mentioned it to Bron so he can wield his influence on Dan to make him give Griffin what he is asking for.

I am guessing in Dan's mind they were willing to pay all the cap and lux this year to see if they could repeat. As the project seemed to be a huge burst, the only option left was to dismantle the team to at least go under the cap and avoid all the unnecessary taxes.

Perhaps, Griffin stood against the plan and offered to resign than see it happen which Dan took. This is my own conjecture.

As per who would compete, I am hearing about moves for Chauncey Billups as GM and a third party agreement with another team to help secure Jimmy Buckets. In my heart I really feel Cavs are not way behind GSW except for playing style. Bron, Kyrie and Love still have a lot to offer in a more encompassing system.

I don't know what to make of the Bron going to the west rumors but that guy is sly; I remember his time in Miami before the 4th season when he put his house on the market and the media was awash with how he was planning on returning to Cleveland but Bron kept denying it. Who knows maybe he has no plans of moving and the rumors are only stemming from the fact that his house in LA was recently vandalized.

He would suffer more in Lakers for example, than with Cavs this coming season except he is eyeing there during his free agency.

my guess is griffin salary demand is the reason.
GM jobs aren't easy to get, even harder to get a team with a chance at the trophy to manage.
gilbert agreed to spend Millions that was part of what was agreed upon to bring bron back.we shed some guys and tool up again.

all these will be your headache soon
maybe it is just me,but iggy has to choose money at this point in his career.
I know Dan agreed but to be spending close to $250M (Cap + Lux) this year again is highly unlikely. Griffin's salary may have been an issue too but since the sack was not run by Bron I doubt salary was the issue.

I have been hearing the Iggy story. Sources already said KD would take less than the super max which will allow us keep Iggy and Shaun L. Even if, Shaun L might leave (because he deserves a huge contract following his knee injury) Iggy is really invested in the Bay Area and I think it might play into his decision-making.

Also, he is 32 years old and would be mandated to get more minutes on another team which could wear him thin. This is an aside from the fact that the $20M a year contract people claim others could pay him is absolutely bogus for an injury prone 32 year old vet that would want a 3-year contract.

It might be my bias talking but I doubt any club can offer him that type of money. I think GSW will offer him an $11M per year contract for 2 years and it would keep him. But if he gets $15-20M a year anywhere else then he is free to go. He deserves it too. Bob will figure things out.

that trade helps the Pacers immensely.
a one year PG rental for K.love still under contract for maybe 3 to 4 years even without the shumpan.
no GM go gree that kind deal

why would the cavs be dismantling this team?
Tax and I am sure it caused the disagreement between Griffin and Dan Gilbert. GMs think of Ws and rings, but owners see $$$.

Gilbert just spent millions on luxury to appease Lebron following last year's ring. He is not going to do it again to appease anyone.

Trade him or let him leave as a free agent. Which do you think they'd prefer genius?
Read. Me. Slowly.

They can do whatever they want with their player but it does not have to be with the Cavs as you guys have nothing substantial to offer them.

I don't think it has anything to do with Griffin being the fall guy.
the owner Is just tired of paying money.
I imagine Griffin price has gone up since he crafted a championship roster.
he should have signed an extension immediately after the ship.

for those that crack "LeGM" jokes where una dey I no say the next thing na to say Griffin suppose join "klutch sport"

that part made me laugh.
They are disassembling that team but it would begin in spurts. That is what is happening.

The other noise by raving neophytes on this thread is just noise. I wonder why you are sitting idly and not telling them how trades work. Why should Pacers donate PG13 for Love and Iman? Are they trying to help Cavs or how does that trade benefit them?

This one would beat this and that.. It's OK if you think y'all would be top 4 in the West. Opinions are allowed but that 2nd round is sure. cheesy

Anyways, I hope y'all get Paul George/Melo just to beat the Warriors. For real y'all don't even care about them Celtics and Wizards, Raptors, etc. Shows how tough the East is. But on a flip side, I'll be scared of Lue is sacked for a better coach, y'all play less ISOs and start play defense. I hope that doesn't happen grin
D Blatt was teaching them defense and ball movement and the Queen had him fired for his errand boy Lue. Don't hold your breath about Lue getting fired.

I know they think ISO ball can win a ring because of 2016 but they forget all the malfeasance that the NBA purposely deployed to help them get it. I don't break a sweat about such things now because ultimately it gave us a weapon in KD; so hard to cheat or deprive of fouls.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 11:23am On Jun 17, 2017
Your man got swept in a finals and got the 2nd level of sweeping 2 other times.

Your man lost to a Mavs team 2-1 up with home court advantage after dropping 8pts in one of the biggest games of his life.

Your man boasted he would win "not 1, not 2, not 3... rings" but you claim he was not on a super team in Miami.

Your man dropped 11pts in game 3 against an undermanned Celtics team. Jordan never dropped below 20 in a playoffs game.

He would probably go down as a top 5 player ever but he is not the GOAT.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 11:14am On Jun 17, 2017
You have 2 All stars with an expensive bench and they have the best player in the world. But they are not a super team.

Then you have 3 All stars (whom you people called overrated and chokers) then they add the 2nd best player in the world and voila! They become a super team.

The double-standard here calls for a review of the word doppelgänger.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 11:07am On Jun 17, 2017
You are new here. We discussed what you have above last year but the simple fact is your man lied.

Ask him about his Halloween "finals" theme party or the 3-1 cookies or the burial stones of Klay, Steph and Dray. Did his wife also accidentally plan that aspect for him?

Your man unfollowed Journalists in Ohio last year, simply because they were not bigging him enough before the playoffs and when he was found out, said he routinely did that to get into playoffs mode.

Ask him which journalist he unfollowed this year in readiness to getting into playoffs mode?

Your man feigned a back injury to get off the court because Spurs were handing the Cavs a heavy blow out L this season only to appear the very next day, super dunking and slamming in the gym.

Your man is a queen. He is LeDiva.

Won a ring and wore an "Ultimate Warrior" shirt while celebrating his victory but GSW were not in his head.

Say we added the 2nd best player in the world and became a superteam but they had the best player in the world and somehow were not.

Got gentlemanly broomed and coons started mouthing off about parity. Like they did not sweep the whole of the ECF before facing us.

Sore losers. He may have more talent than Kobe or any other player of this era but LeBrenda is no GOAT. Just an Ewu. grin

Will watch the video later SmooshCHN.

We are losing Jerry West to the Clippers. I am kinda sad even though his work is pretty much done here. Would forever remember the logo for shutting down the Klay/ Love trade few seasons back. For also helping us pitch KD.

I know he relishes the challenge plus Balmer is probably going to pay him a ton of money. I also know commuting the long distance to SF may have factored into his decision. Whatever it is, his vision and foresight will forever be cherished at GSW.

Hope he fails at the Clippers though. grin

It seems I am the only one seeing things. How do you put three top players that like to be ball dominant in their hands? These guys can't really play off the ball.

Remember Goerge isn't a player like bosh or Garnett that can get theirs under the basket?

They might win with him, but it will take a long time I bet.

It's a hard offer to pass up honestly if it comes up, but I definitely wouldn't do it.

People forget the KD addition worked because dude only needs the ball for 4 seconds to be effective.
He would have to adjust his game to catch and shoots, less dribbles, post-playing etc. That is easier said than done. Kyrie himself cannot cope without dribbling 10 times but he makes up for it with his superb scoring. Nobody will coach a team that has Lebron and put the ball in another person's hands so really I don't think PG13 is a good fit for them.

Same Franchise that went afterBogut who didn't play 20 games for Dallas over injury. Same dumb moves when they went after Kyle Korver, Deron Williams and Derrick Williams when their problem was defense. Same franchise that overpaid JR and TT.. They better go after PG. They'll learn the hard way.. Because na 3 on 3 we dey play for NBA.
I remember when we kept saying their D was the problem then, but because GM Lebronda said they needed a playmaker, they focused on playmaker and played him off the ball and they wonder why Deron played like trash. Just imagine if Kerr played Shaun L off the ball as a catch and shoot player. lol

Like i said, game 4 love is a star.

Game 5 love is a bum.

I'd love to keep love as well. LBJ Kyrie PG Love (Dream Team)
I'd like Anthony Davis as my Centre too. Or Jokic. Won't happen.

The same Love whose absence was the reason Cavs lost in 2015 according to you people? grin

Love is a better post player than PG13.
Love is a way better rebounder.
Love is a better passer.

Heck, Love is willing to take less shots than PG13.

Careful what you wish for. Cavs lost because you can ISO your way into Ws when stars align and paradigm shifts to make that happen and only then. Team ball always wins.

Everyone's resigning and KD and Steph are taking Paycuts to keep Livingston and Iggy. And no one's made of glass. I don't need to ask you who.
The Love they called a bum is the one that the Pacers will rebuild on and trade PG13 (who will command more financially BTW) for. LOL.

Man is a bum when he loses with Bron but becomes good enough for Pacers to trade PG13 with.

3 ball dominant ISO dependent players will come together and they wonder why Mavs beat their GROAT in 2011.

The box score is misleading. Curry is playing almost rubbish. Second-guessing his shots and not being as aggressive as he needs to be. Good thing KD rested towards the end of the Q.

JR is shooting insufferably. I cannot believe he would be called a scrub later today. grin
