This is why I speak well of Kerr. The timely timeout call. And how we always follow each of his timeouts with a run of points.

Zaza and Draymond need to do better. Especially Draymond. That rushed 3 and the other fast break he should have dunked. Zaza needs to show poise under the rim.

They'll be more physical with Steph like last year and force him to work both sides. I expect Klay and Draymond to step up offensively. And when you have peace of mind it's not Harrison Barnes guarding James.
The playoffs was boring enough. I just don't want the league or referee interference.
They should just pray Klay does not get hot. He is going to be our Trump card in this game. I have a feeling they have prepared something for KD and I sense the refs will be giving them stewpid fouls just to make the game closer than it should be.

Javale McGee should have a big game as well.

grin chai eruditor hate these refs. These warriors players are poised. After what happened last year, I doubt they fall for any antics. What time game they start?
Tony Brothers is a strong Lebtard. Scott Foster has a history of getting involved in refereeing scandals like Sacramento vs Lakers in 2002. I don't trust them.

Game is 1AM naija time which will be like 7 or 8pm for you in ATL.

Scott Foster and Tony Brothers are the officials for today's game. You should know Cavs are getting tons of calls today
They would try to give us a tech, flagrant and probably try to eject one of our players but God pass them.

Yes, Enrique takes the lion share of the blame. Look at Asensio, Morata, et al. Then look at Alcalcer, Sandro, Munir. That's why Suarez has been playing rubbish, because the coach has no balls to remove him, or Neymar, or Gomez.

I hope the new coach will learn to bench unproductive players in our team no matter their big names.

Don't forget to also blame the players who couldn't make use of the chances they had. Everyone has got his fare share of the blame.
I agree. Jeez. I am so sad. They won it back to back. He peeped Messi to the UCL top scorer whilst winning it and they won the league.

E don tey wey I talk say Suarez has lost it. Forget the 30 something goals he scored this season. The guy's conversion rate is poor. Just imagine Ronaldo up front with Messi supplying the passes.

It;s a shame that Messi scored 54 goals from midfield, and we have a very wasteful Suarez up front.
I blame Enrique more. We could not score a goal against this Juve team.

Pellegrini took city to a champions league semi last season, but Pep couldn't even make it past the round of 16.

Is that what Raumdeuter calls improvement? Despite inheriting a very good squad and spending hugely in the transfer market.

That is how he reduced a treble winning bayern, to just bundesliga champions back to back to back.. a feat my grandmother would easily achieve given the lack of competition in that league.
Pelle had 3 seasons. How many times did he get passed the round of 16?

He inherited a good sqaud that finished 4th? Will the next Leicester manager also inherit a good squad since they got to the UCL quarters and Tottenham didn't?

He reduced a treble winning Bayern? How many times did Jupp win a treble with them? What about double? LOL.

Why the EPL? why not the UCL? a 'top rated' coach like him should be gunning to WIN THE UCL every SEASON.

after all, a rookie, first time coach like Zidane already has a UCL trophy in just under two years of top class coaching and is on course for another. plus he already has a league trophy.

isn't Gaurdiola supposed to be better than him? yet he's busy dragging league trophy with lowly rated coach. undecided

note: I'm not saying winning the EPL is not something, but a supposed 'coaching god' like Apari Gaurdiola should be aiming for bigger things, the UCL. no?
LOL. Your comparison is baseless. Pep won a UCL in his first season as well. In fact, he won all 6 trophies. And had 2 UCLs in 3 years.

Why not the UCL? Because it is harder to predict.

LOL. Someone bought one player for £89M and finished 6th but he did not fail because he qualified his team for the UCL. Another one finished 3rd and qualified for the same UCL but he failed because he drew 6-6 with Monaco and crashed out while the other one parked the bus against Celts and Ajax to win a trophy he said was beneath his previous club.

The emboldened is an irresponsible statement. What if Pep reached the UCL semis, would you called it a way to managed a failed season? Well Pep's first season was a failure, yet he couldn't manage it.

The over ruled statement, lacks objectivity. Pep was announced 6months before that season ended. He signed 2 players within his first week. Early signing has not convinced me about Pep.

Don't get it twisted, Pep is a great manager but he is yet to prove he is better than the likes of Klopp, Poch, Conte, Mou and Wenger offcourse.
Nah, your own question is irresponsible. So why do you consider Poch's season a success even when he did not win anything?

LOL @ objectivity. Is there any difference between Xhaka of August and the one of April/May? Care to tell me what that difference is if it exists?
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 11:52am On Jun 02, 2017
What shocked me was how good KD was in Defence. LBJ was second-guessing going to the rim. In my life of watching the NBA I think this is the best defensive display from KD I have ever seen. I mean, I watched him last year against us and sure he had 1 or 2 great defensive moments but I was not wary of him.

Imagine a player who was LBJs primary defender and still put up 38/8/8 or something like that. That is just incredible.

I pray Klay's shot falls next game or game 3. We would definitely need his magic in one of these games. If we blow them out game 2, I expect the refs to step in and start giving them phantom fouls in game 3 at their home court. That maybe most likely when we would need Klay's toasting ability.

Decale:
I wouldn't call him out on this game tbh. It wasn't his fault he got boxed out in the paint by the Warriors who by the way played some very good defense. If for anything, he was the biggest factor in second chance points for the Cavs and dominated Warriors on the boards. He was also good on the defensive end

Draymond and Love were average today but Love did better today, the only position Cavs did play in this game.

Issa PF battle, y'all
Love played well to me o. TT and JR Smith were lost. LBJ was good not great. Kyrie was better. That is how I viewed it. Love had like 20 rebounds or so and hit some big 3s. He definitely shaded Dray in the game but only just.

It's just game 1 people, not game 7.

It'll be more difficult for Warriors on Sunday. Bron and Kyrie no come play ooo
It would be difficult for everyone including the 2 names you mentioned. I doubt KD would keep seeing those free dunks he saw yesterday but then again, I don't know how quickly Cavs can adjust defensively to make a huge difference (apart from refs unlooking bad fouls). I am saying this because all season long you and I can agree that Cavs did not play good D and I would even extend that run into the Playoffs. They just looked disheveled and discombobulated yesterday on D.

The warriors played some good defence against Irving for sure. I'm certain Irving will be better in the next game.
It's the first game guys...haba!!!
Didn't Houston blew out the Spurs in a game? We all knw how that ended. Cavs definitely learnt something from the game.
This is revisionist but I would let you have the floor. Before the game all you kept posting was how LBJ and Kyrie were better than KD and SC now you are talking another story now.

Anyways, I just want to show you why your claims that LBJ was number 1 with no close 2nd is a myth. As you could see, KD was clearly better than him yesterday which puts paid to your earlier assertions.

Also, you have seen the difference between SC housing a knee injury (thus preventing his lateral movement) and the one of yesterday who drove to the rim each time a big was in front of him. Kyrie is a baller no doubt, but anyone can outplay the leagues MVP if they are really good and he is getting banged up whilst playing with an injury.

You dey mind eruditor... if Fraudiola fails next season... he'll come up to tell us that pep didn't get the players he wanted...

Na silly excuse... Arsenal have been looking for a mad striker since Van P... and still we didn't end our season trophyless...

We didn't get Lacazette, Benzema, Suarez... what did we do... we dealt with it... City is complaining about full backs... they didn't win anything because their full backs are over 30 years old... Wetin make Juvey talk...

How old was Abidal and Lahm... And Pep still manage them... this pep fans are just deluded...

Most of their losses this season was caused by goalkeepers.... not full backs... goalkeepers!!!
You are the one deluded but it is an Arsenal syndrome so I don't hold it against you. Before, to you, a successful season was finishing 3rd or 4th and winning the FA Cup. This season you won only the FA Cup but still consider yourself successful even when playing in the UCL next season was your target and you did not achieve it. You lost 10-2 to Bayern, were 18pts behind CFC and crashed out of the Carling Cup to Southampton at the emirates stadium yet you still consider your season successful. LOL

If Pep fails next season? There is no if. He would win it. What part of "he would win it" don't you understand?

it is with these glaring issues that Pellegrini made the Champions League Semi Finals,, Pep came and got at least 50% of what he wanted-- ball playing GK,, Xavi-esque CB,, Pass Spreading CM,, Overlapping ball boy etcetera and yet he finished the season trophyless despite these additions and despite that you lots already gave him the league after 4/4 wins at d start of the season..

You're being a bit dubious with this your 'different transfer windows',, it sounds dangerously close to you already making excuse for another round of failure as you might come out and say the different transfer windows includes this current one,, and the one after the 2018 world cup.. you people sef..
Actually you are the one being dubious. Last year I did not make any predictions because I saw these issues. I am not Micheal Owen and co who projected either him or Mou to win. None of the pundits predicted Conte's CFC so no need to single me out.

I have been unequivocal now. He would win it. He is not slacking in getting all he needs. My different transfer windows talk was me referring to last seasons as I knew he could not buy all he needed in 1 transfer window. This season has made it 2 and as we have been reading, he wants to finish the job now.

You may need to read my previous post on Pellegrini's ultimate season. Pellegrini went 1st, 2nd and 4th but somehow, to you guys, his team was improving or good enough. LOL

Spy360:
Last season he signed those he needed,- Bravo, Stones, Sane, Jesus, Gundugan, despite inheriting a strong squad, yet he won nothing. How are we so sure he will win next season?
This is your own narrative. The squad they inherited was not strong. They were 4th with 66points. Hammered by the top 6 teams and conceded a ton of goals. Getting to the UCL semis just made up for a terrible season.

It was clear they needed marauding fullbacks and another CB. Kompany was out for most of the season - their improvements when he returned is evident. Also, CFC overperformed winning 13 straight games. Notice, after those 13 games, the W and L column between CFC and the rest of the top 4 teams became similar.

Of course, Bravo did not do a good job (but it was clear they needed to improve on Hart). Anybody arguing that fact is just debate-hungry. Also Gab Jesus and Gundögan absence and injuries did not help either. MOST OF THE REST OF THE OTHER PLAYERS ARE STILL ADJUSTING TO PEP's STYLE.

My confidence in him this term is because with early transfers he would have time to work with his players before the season begins. It also stems from the fact that he is plugging the areas I saw they were clearly deficient in personnel-wise. The last reason is because I believe his way of playing is more impregnable than Mou, Klopp, Poch or Conte's style when his team gets it right.

PS: he trivialized the Carling Cup and fielded his reserves against United at OT. They were never going to win the UCL but they crashed out having tied scores with a Monaco that not only won a Ligue title but got to the semis of the UCL. The only 2 trophies he "failed" in really are the EPL and FA Cup. And he lost in the FA Cup Semis to the eventual winners. Big deal.
