@noob03saibot I saw something you quoted and said "true" to and I just wanted to correct that impression. There is not a dot of Drake's songs where he told a lie about his life or upbringing. The other guy in question is the one everyone knows to be the habitual liar. Starting from the bottom is relative. Drake's mum was a school teacher but her bad health made her retire a tad too early coupled with the fact that his absentee father wasn't helping with child support. When he did the acting gig on "Degrassi" he was earning 50K a year which would have been okay but he was helping his mum pay off the house and car so there was never much to spend after it. He had a comfortable Uncle (his mum's bro) who used to help him pay for Studio time when "Degrassi" had folded up and young Aubrey became more interested in Music. So forget that myth about him having things easy. He was in a music group with Melanie Fiona and one other guy called "Future" (not the Future you know). And guess what? He was dropped from that group but he still found success later. |
Milwaukee are up for a serious drubbing today. Meanwhile, Philly think this is a playoff game. |
Muna15:GSW averages the most PPGs. Spurs hold opposition to the least PPG. That was my argument. Cavs is neither of those teams. If push comes to shove, you have LBJ and Kyrie for points and who else? When it comes to forcing turnovers, blocks and transition defence you have in reality only Lebron and to some degree Thompson. This again produces a conundrum for Cavs this season. This explains why they go 4-19 when LBJ doesn't play. So what was my question again? I said Deron is a good "playmaker". The quotes are because Lebron felt they needed one when they went 7-8 in January. Fair. But which of the seeming Cavs issues will D Will truly fix? That's why I said they need Bogut or whoever they want to get and that's good for them. Good because every single time Cavs go through a bad patch Lebron comes up with another reason. First it was playmaker. Then it became a rim-protector. I want all these issues sorted out once and for all so we won't have any excuses. Barring bad officiating and NBA interference, let the mettle of the Cavs really be tested. Period. |
Muna15:Oh no points difference counts like numbers on a calculator. If it didn't, how else would you feel CAVs could get to the ECF and not the Heats. What worries me is how CAVS don't refer to December 25th as an example of a Warriors choke anymore- they literally have to go months back to bring up the slightest whimper of banter. I have no concerns about Deron only that I am trying to make sure a CAVS beatdown will be balanced just like it was in January (no more we need a playmaker excuse). I am guessing all those Deron assists and 13ppg were responsible for Mavs sitting on top the WC or better still, why he helped Cavs molest the Bulls in his first outing for his new team. |
Decale:Injured Bogut when it was 3-1? I am really worried about Kyle Korver too. He was supposed to be a missing piece in the jigsaw until 7-8 in January. Anyways, Deron is welcome. His 13ppg will do wonders. |
Muna15:You guys like to console yourselves. So why not check the record in the last 18 games, why the last 5? In the 57/58 games Cavs have played what's their points difference compared to GSWs? So how else are we going to tell who scores more? Compare how many under 100pts games Spurs have held other teams to, to Cavs. So which of these aspects will D-Will improve for them? |
Muna15:Maggi inside sour soup; it will make no difference. Cavs need someone to stop the bleeding not someone who could create more offense alone. Cavs can't outscore GSW and can't out-defend Spurs so D Will's 13ppg won't contribute that much without a much desired rim-protector. Print that ![]() |
Anyways, I came here to announce that KD was rested today so Klay and Curry did the business just like they did last season without him. A couple "Stephortless" 3s by Curry too to show a couple 3 point legends and sure-fire HOFers ain't better than him. We have also qualified for the Playoffs today. 24 games to go. |
Manutd19:Okay o. Which means there would be no excuse if they lose or get swept in the finals. #JustSaying |
SmooshCHN:Did I not say it here? What good will it do for you when you score many points and let many more get past you? The rim-protector is still what they need over and above every thing. D Will will not stop the rain when the chips are down. |
Decale:And Draymond Green that is an average 3pt shooter outshot Klay and Curry in the finals. How often will it happen? I am indifferent about him like Korver. They are not making additions in potential weak areas. They still need their rim-protector. |
Decale:Good "playmaker" but can he defend? |
Later someone will see the type of 3 point shots Curry makes, and compare him to Nash, Reggie and Allen. Preposterous! |
Every single time Clippers made an attack this NBA ref has given them a foul call. All in a bid to forcefully end the 9 straight losses at Oracle. Shameful. |
SIRcumalot:A fit Bogut will help them way more than Varejao did for GSW. Varejao is absolute s-ht. SIRcumalot:They say, nobody ever really wants to sell a Bentley. So if you want to buy it, you would have to really convince the owner that he must sell. I think PG will go to Lakers. Magic is looking like Jerry West and perhaps is convincing him about future plans. PG will however sign a short contract just to check his options after 2017/18. |
SmooshCHN:I heard they might still trade him to Cavs as leverage for some other deal. |
SmooshCHN:Saw that now. It seems Celtics will announce a big trade like they did when they got Al Horford. |
SmooshCHN:Why don't I want him to go there? |
Bogut goes to Cavs and is healthy during the playoffs will be a big problem. The guy's passing and blocks for a center are incredible. Cavs will finally have the much coveted rim-protector. I pray the deal doesn't go through. ![]() |
Nigeria my country. So let us get something straight. The SAN in question is only PMBs lawyer and no one else's? Is that even possible? Let us assume it was a bribe, the bribe couldn't be from any of the SAN's clients? It had to be from PMB, now, because Justice Ademola is in trouble? Is this not a cheap lie and blackmail? The same kind Ngwuta tried to pull when he claimed Amaechi tried to bribe him too, and after he refused, they sent DSS and EFCC at him? So PMB wants to bribe a sitting judge in a case of such high magnitude and popularity, then he uses 500k while the Judge himself doesn't alert constituted authority and decides to conveniently do that through a witness only when he is charged for financial crime in another unrelated issue?500k is now sufficient enough to buy cases in Nigeria when GEJs people would have paid the judge well over ten times that number so the case could favor them. Yet Justice Ademola collected the 500k? I think this issue is as asinine as asinine can be. |

Decale:Apart from Wall I agree with your list. I would have placed Curry 4th. I know he has had some iffy games but trust me he did last season too. Utah Jazz was a 14pt game. Spurs second leg was a 15point game. Players have such games. |
Donlittle:Roland thinks GSW fans got defensive but what he doesn't know is that even with a sweep this season that last season will haunt me forever. The finals was looking easier than the 2015 one and somehow GSW capitulated. |
Decale:Baba, I charge you to THINK. My points are not about points per game don't whittle it down to that. How do they influence games Wall and Kyle? If they always gave more assists per game it will reflect in the number. If they scored more, same. If they stole the ball more, same. What you are trying to say is that they are more valuable to their teams this season than Curry has been to GSW. If that is your argument, I can agree but there are ways to justify it hence why we mention "Primary handler, Primary scorer" to you. Has Curry been the primary handler overall this season? No. Primary scorer nko? No. So with those 2 alone his "influence" will not be the same when compared to last season or the latter season before it. Even if CP3 was playing, he is, overall, both of those criteria to his own team and as such his influence for them will be more. But what is his team's position even with him playing? If your argument is also "remove Curry and GSW will still win games". I can as well tell you to remove KD and nothing will change. Same as Klay, Iggy, Shaun or Zaza. So overall, perhaps only Draymond has that much influence on the team. I know some other person will say what about KDs blocks per game? Yea, those are important but McGee could have given the same blocks only with less creative offense on the other end. Same way, Curry will give more 3s, assists and headache to oppositon defence than KD but with less length and defense on the other end. It could go either ways. So again, it is not about numbers. You are only comparing Curry to who he was last season. |
Donlittle:To her, if Bogut attempts 1 3pt and makes it making his 3pt % 100 for the season, he is a better 3pt shooter than Curry whose average might be 40% but who has made over 210 3pts all season. |
Decale:1. Do they need to be? When KD was not at GSW, Curry needed to bring it game in game out. These days he coasts when his input is not needed. Please look out for games that KD doesn't play well. Apart from the odd days here and there where Klay carried the team, it was always Curry. That's why I said always measure it with respect to what his team needs him to be. 2. Lol @ Lowry or Wall. They have great games and their teams still lose. So what exactly is their impact? They are the primary scorers of their respective teams (especially when Derozan is unfit). Every single shot and play goes through them. So except you have a way of measuring consistency. The only thing you are going to say is that they score more points and even that would be wrong based on the averages. 3. If his influence on games was as little as you claim, why is it that when he missed 11 3s against Denver, GSW lost? When he made only 15 points against Cavs, GSW lost? He scored 40 points or so against Sacramento and missed a clutch lay-up and GSW lost. Now look for games where KD didn't play well. GSW won 90% of those games. Check it. Leave sentiments aside too. |
Donlittle:LOL. Now you catch my drift when I say "from a more knowledgeable poster" I would respond. |
Decale:1. Ofcourse, in every ramifications, numbers don't tell the whole story. But Curry's numbers this season are equivalent to his numbers his first MVP season. So it is either the standard of the NBA for PGs rose, or your expectations of Curry did. I go for the latter. 2. More consistent and impact are words anyone can throw about but their teams position WRT their contribution is what matters. So far Harden, WB and Isaiah Thomas are the only people I would put above Curry based on that criteria. The other names you bandy about are personal preference and I can prove it. 3. Curry can go 10 games missing depends on how you define missing. He is no longer the primary scorer of the team- KD is. He has played more games this season as a spot-up shooter compared to 2 seasons ago. GSW are renowned for moving the ball around better and more than any team so assists will go neither here nor there. I guess you catch my drift. The question you should ask yourself is which player on the Warriors team can go 10 games missing and the Warriors would face Ls? Perhaps only Draymond. If you doubt it, check the games GSW played where KD or Klay had below par games. 4. Which means a Kemba Walker peak season is better than a Kyrie peak season? ![]() 5. Moot. The Pundits and Journalists (as well as fellow NBA players) voted to select the All-Star team. He finished 3rd behind Russell and Harden in both categories. Again, I understand what you mean IF you say he is not last season's Curry. People always expect more from him. I took a trip down the stat sheets and saw the PPGs of previous NBA finals MVPs. Curry's 26.6 of 2015 was better than close to 85%+ of all previous winners. Yet all we keep hearing is how he doesn't play well in finals. |
Decale:So let's check your honest-o-meter. Would you rate Kyrie top 5 this season? ![]() |
seeker88:Brother, na to move on sure pass. We go smile definitely. |
iCool:So true. |

. The Playoff/Finals go tell us who the 'maggi' is. I won't be surprised if the maggi turns out to be KD.
