Lool lol lol lol. I must give credit to DeRozan and the Raptors , overcoming that demoralizing 1st quarter blowout to coming within a possession play in the 4th.
That's why they're the league's best offensive team.
The leagues 2nd or 3rd best offensive team. I thought GSW was still number 1?

We always blow leads and I'm still confused as to why that issue has not been fixed undecided. I was expecting a 20pt game. Much respect to the raptors tho..
Which is the point I was trying to make after the Cavs game: that we had made that same mistake a couple of times this season. Even against an Under-manned Jazz team, Raptors the first time we played, Pelicans, Bucks and even the Wolves. That is why I used the word complacency as no matter how other teams seem to view it as them "getting stops and hitting big shots" it always boiled down to GSW just losing steam unnecessarily.

I know majority of the reason this happens is because they are trying to show so much that they are more interested in the post-season, but they should be careful not to decommission themselves before it.

Na just regular season game so make cav fans no too celebrate
Actually, it is anti-GSW fans that are coming up with that excuse. At least here on NL I doubt anyone has said it was just a regular season game.

What I am saying is, I am happy they can afford to make the mistake now, not in a game 7 of an NBA finals.

I believe there is a rematch in January. We would use that game to see if they have learnt from their mistakes and by how much.

Lol. A CIA would hve done better twisting the "Complacency" post. Lool. ""As for complacency, I typed that when I noticed the 14-points differential shrink"".

How does it relate with that. You forgot you also added "shame" to it.

So for Cavs to prove that they're the real NBA champ. we have to beat you the way Spurs did on the opening night or the underdog Laker team beat you by 19+pts??

Those are excuses man. Your team choked
Let me tell you how livescore works. You hit the refresh button and then the scores change. I hit refresh sometime 4th Quarter and saw 94-80. I went on to do other things. Came back and hit refresh and saw 103-105 in favour of Cavs so I typed "complacency and shame".

I guess you knew better. I just saw Ximo Pierto's H/Ls on YouTube about how some player held on to the rim following a dunk and didn't get a technical for it. Or how Jefferson tripped KD and refs unloooked. Let us call it home court advantage?

As for real NBA champ and the rest of the drivel. I wasn't referring to Spurs or Lakers. Some other team, when they were champs. I believe they beat you by 8points and 32 points before the playoffs. So the celebrations over a 1pt win at home by supposed champs is flummoxing (for lack of a better word).

Even the most ardent Warrior fan has to accept there is substance to the "Choking" argument.

KD was spectacular on both ends of the court. He single-handedly played the Cavs in the first and second quarter.
They choked. There's no 2 ways about it. But they have accepted they won't take moral victories this year- They want a ring and nothing else so they better make all these mistakes now and not make it at the playoffs.

Not a chance. I did not log out after making my "complacency" post perhaps that's why I was still appearing online. I didn't watch the game so I depended on livescores (hence no posts). As for complacency, I typed that when I noticed the 14-points differential shrink.

I don't understand what the gallivanting is about. GSW squandered a 14-pt lead at Cavs ground and lost by 1 point to the NBA champs? They didn't lose by 6 points or 32points?

Carmelo Anthony is not a winner. Everyone can agree. He will take 50 ppg with his team's record 10-72 over 15 ppg and his team 72-10. You can spot them from a mile away. Players who do everything for self aggrandizement.

You don't get what he's saying.

You are putting Harden above Westbrook while Oohmpa is saying that Harden would not be better than Russell even if he shot more with more scrubs.

Summary>>> You want Westbrook to shoot less while Oohmpa is defending him cos others have done the same thing with the kind of teammates he has. It has nothing to do with league standings

For me, ehn if WB tries and pass more, that team will end up like 76ers
Point of correction: I am putting Harden over WB as the regular season's MVP not about being a better player. Just like I was willing to agree that Kyrie was better than Curry during the playoff finals and not that he is better than Curry as a player or that Curry was better than Lebron in the regular season and not that he is better than Lebron as a player.

To make my case, I said Harden's contributions have made his team overperform this season and he has allowed his teammates join the party more. In response, his team has won more games. On the other hand, for all WBs heroics (and there have been a lot of them this season) the major output is lagging behind Harden's.

If they switched teams, there is no argument that Houston may still be ahead of OKC. Two things however are for sure:

1. The teammates in Houston will score less points.
2. Houston may end up being 5th or 6th seeded

Everyone can pick their poison. I have never argued that WB is not a good player. I have instead argued that his own version of MOST VALUABLE PLAYER does not appeal to me. I am sure Mo Speights will agree.

Brother, WB doesn't shoot 12/40. He averages 24 shots per game and makes 43% of them. The Harden you're twerking all over also makes 43% of his shots while shooting less. What's the difference, amigo?

Harden doing what? grin grin

Harden averages 1 assist more than Westbrook. Wait, you're saying that 1 stat Harden has better over WB is the reason Rockets is 4th? You sure you watch bball at all?

Efficiency WB > Harden
PIE WB > Harden
+/- WB > Harden
VORP WB > Harden

Everything, WB > Harden

This is pure logic and Ooh Mpa doesn't understand why the thing hard for Warriors fans. Make hin repeat am again:

Rockets have 5 players averaging double figures
Rockets are the 3 point kings in NBA
Rockets have the forerunner for 6th man who averages 18ppg (Gordon)
Rockets are explosive even when Harden is on the bench but do better when he is on.

So, with Harden averaging 1.1 assist more than Westbeast in the only stat he does better, he miraculously makes his team look good with less eff? grin grin

Westbrook is doing what every great has done when the team gets depleted with better stats: Jordan did it, Kobe, Lebron in 2015 playoffs. Dem yapa. The only difference is he's no Jordan or Lebron.

What stats have shown is Westbrook will do better on a Rockets roster and Harden will be worse on a Thunder roster

Westbrook doesn't shoot 40 shots a game.
He got 45 points on 25 shots
He got 46 points on 33 shots the game before

He averages 24 shots a game. Find another point if you have....

Dalu
What's your argument here because you seem to be arguing for the sake of it. They point out the weakness in WBs game, you bicker. They point out the improvements in his game, you still bicker.

I don't understand. So Harden would have been better if he played with more scrubs, jacked up his shots by 4-9 per game so he can average 40+ ppg and his team would be 7th in their division?

So Jordan did not like it as his ppgs reduced at the instance of Pippen and his rings sextupled? He would have preferred to average 50 ppg and be 7th in the east?

WTF.

Again, it's not just about playing well, a star player should also motivate his team to finish as high up as possible and compete for the ring.
James wouldn't be considered up there if with all his amazing stats, he couldnt push the Cavs all the way last season.
That's MVP and an all star stuff
Don't mind OohMpa. In that 22 assists game I believe WB did not even make any significant points all game till the end of the 2nd quarter or beginning of the third quarter. When his first few shots did not fall he turned provider and was dishing out- which is exactly what Harden has been doing all season and why Harden's team sat 3rd in the West compared to WBs team at the time.

WB is a good player at least perhaps only Mark Cuban does not think he is a big deal. We have all consistently said his motivation to be MVP should be such that he helps his team win more games not to be averaging 40ppg with a losing streak.

Every top 20 player in the NBA can score 40+ ppg when they take 40 spg. But how many of them can afford to do it while their team keeps winning games and leading a conference? That's a different thing entirely.

I have seen the great aspects of Stones' game. That boy can pass and move with the ball almost like a world class midfielder. Watch that Tottenham game that City lost 2-0 especially the second half when Tottenham were pegged in their own half. Stones moved the ball on 3 different occasions into dangerous spots at the edge of Tottenham's box and he gave many decent passes all game.

Gaffes will come with a young player. What makes players improve is decision making. That's why Neymar has not yet been crowned WPOTY. His decisions sometimes are questionable. Same as Chamberlain, Pogba or Coman (I told A40) or any touted talent of the game.

3 losses by 20+ (I think Lakers was by 17 or so can't remember) and Houston by 5. Go back and look for any Superstar team that won 20-4 in their first 24 games..I'd wait.

1. The extrapolation was to show best case scenario except you believe in fantasies and want me to work on the assumption that OKC in a 50 game sample, OKC will win 50 games.

2. LOL if the 3 losses were by a combined 100 points it would have helped my argument in what way?

3. No, You also agreed he was selfish. You only loaded up tosh to defend it. I showed you the idiocy behind the stats he parades without detracting from the fact that he is a good player. Again I ask how does it help him influence the game positively when he is rebounding a ball that his own team mate was about to rebound? I can tell you: it gives Russell 10+ rebounds and more reasons for his lickspittles to show us his stats.

4. Telling me Jordan and Kobe have missed more game winners than they have made is. . .wait for it. . . Inconsequential. You are the one who was feeding us pure sophistry by saying WB has made SEVERAL clutch shots. My response was to show you it was more of an aberration; an anomaly; an irregular happenstance.

5. Better PER, PPG, APG With a 6th placed team compared to a 4th placed one. He should also get 70 triple doubles and not qualify for the playoffs how is that?

6. As for the players you listed and how better they are than OKC players. Yea. How profound. I wonder how those same players will fare playing with WB as their main ball distributor and controller. Maybe we should ask KD.

7. As for me missing the humor @ CAVS, right back at you. I was already fantasizing about 2nd and 3rd rings but since I seemed to be denigrating WB while at it or perhaps because I typed Lebum it became filled with sentiment. If only I knew to make the same argument when you were typing 3-1 jokes all over the thread.

8. As for KD and best player on the team or MVP. We are not a team that cares about that. We want rings. They can give WB MVP while he watches the playoffs ahome. That's fine with me.

Smooshchn, Eruditor, Frenchwine, you guys wee not kee Ooh Mpa

Westbrook has 49 triple doubles with a 40-9 record. Over 80% winning percentage. This season he is 9-3. Please, Westbrook stop chasing records. Ooh Mpa dey beg you.

He is very selfish in the final seconds.Yes,yes but Anthony Morrow bricked the last shot, didn't he? Or is it another Westbrook that got 2 game winning shots plus several clutch shots including the 3 that took them to overtime against Pacers? No, definitely another one.

In not interested in the ring, you might be right. Durant that was interested in the ring had to run. When Westbrook has finally decided not to help his subpar team to 6 straight wins or a playoff push in a difficult conference with teammates like Kanter, Waiters, Roberson and Grant, he'd leave. Ooh Mpa's best bet would be the Cavs for the easiest ring ever.

Yaga...
Miss me with the stats brah. Half of those 80% wins had KD in the team abi regular season don play reach 49 games? I guess not. At 9-3 this year shay you know when extrapolated to 49 games we are looking at 36-12 which still feels good until you ask yourself if this OKC team will win 50 games or if WB will have up to 50 triple double games.

The fact of the matter is I can't put it beyond him because we have seen him wrestle his fellow team mate for a rebound. Oh Mpa should tell us if the rebound that will count for him there shows that he is affecting the game positively simply because he got 10+ rebounds. Ok, how about his assists? Who was he trusting then when he got 10+ assists? I guess another set of average players.

You guys like to make excuses for him when he does something fatuous by deflecting the blame to a team mate but will be so quick to praise WB if all goes well. How many tries do I need to have before I get at least one or two game winning shots? WB has failed more times than he has won with game winning shots let us stop making isolated cases look like a regular happenstance. If OKC had 99 points did he make all 99 of them? I guess not also. That is what Harden is learning that WB does not yet know and Harden's team is doing better to show for it. Harden is the MVP.

Anyways, WB should do well and join Cavs so he will be part of a team on the losing side of KDs 2nd and maybe 3rd ring. That is if he gets to a final (when he will opt to shoot the last shot instead of pass it to Love or Smith or Kyrie like Lebron will do). Easiest ring my foot. Lebum averaged highest PPG, blocks, assists etc and needed 7 games to beat a KDless GSW. Imagine how easily Bron will lose when all his numbers significantly reduce because of Westbrick.

I am surprised many still act surprised that Westbrook plays that way. I don't know how you guys see it but Westbrook does not care about rings and it is clear. He feeds into the hype by Jordan, Kobe and Iverson each saying he is their favorite player and he places so much burden upon himself to over do things just like he does in All-star games.

I am beginning to observe Houston on the other hand like Roland suggested we did. They are playing solid ball with good movement and shooting and Harden is really taking his PG role seriously. At this point, he is my MVP but then some others can argue that without Westbrook, OKC wins drop close to 0.500 or less. Even though, that is left to be decided as he barely trusts them, his style of being MVP is not what I enjoy at all.
