I do not mean that poch,Simeone, klopp etc are genius or best ever, I rated them personally from the materials and the financial strength of the club they manage,,,
Also I would rate them above this present Wenger, because to me he's past it, but the Wenger of the invincible era is a genius and deserved to be commended highly.

Those managers having few bad games, or a bad/average seasons still doesn't change the fact they did something worth praising, one can even easily infer that they will do well at barca,Bayern and Madrid, but can the same be said with your so called legend coach from those powerful club side.?
Managers go through bad patches even within a season. It is the way the season ends that matters that's all I was saying. All those managers are good but one way or the other and at certain times their teams have faltered, Pep is no exception. It is CFCs form that has made the season effectively over and that's because their form has been incredible. In other seasons typically the first in the league would have had maybe even 45 points and those with 40-44 would have still stood a chance. But 10 or 12 points is a tall task to overcome. Not impossible though.

You only had to wait for it, it was surely gonna come : GSW at some point were defo gonna pull away. They're doing just that.
Meanwhile, Westbrook on 21 triple doubles. If he gets up to Wilt Chamberlain's record (he is already on pace), he would surely be the regular season MVP
@emboldened, nope he won't as league standings is pivotal. Not saying he is not having an incredible season but most of his heroics have to account for wins.

When you have messi, iniesta, ribbery & robben and some Grade A players, football fans will think you are soo spectacular...

Pep in his first season at both barca and Bayern was leading the league at this stage with 12 points, but in England here, he was made to look like a Roberto mancini.

Even wenger with his so called average team,(excluding Ozil's,Sanchez, kosc, coq and santi) is rubing shoulders with his world class expensive squad..

In all honesty, pep is good but not a genius, I'll rather salute and praise Simeone, klopp, pochentinho and few orthers.
All the players listed had gone seasons without winning nothing but sure they are grade A footballers. Ozil, Sanchez, Cech, Kos, Mustafi, Bellerin are grade B footballers because your genius is underutilizing them.

The stock-in-trade of pseudo-analysts is to throw names about in an argument then rubbish same names in another argument. I can see how well Simeone is doing this season or how well Klopp did his first season with LFC or his last with Dortmund. Ok remind me about the time Pochettino's Tottenham crashed out ignominiously in the UCL. What about the time they went unbeaten with a ton of draws? Or when they bottled a lead against CFC and did diddly squat against United in OT? How great is Koeman doing? Any better than Roberto Martinez at the same point? Has Koeman not thrashed AFC 4-0 when they were top of the league only last year? Hahahaha. Did Martinez not destroy Wenger 3-0 with less quality? So guess what? In your estimation are they not also better than Wenger?

As much as i would love to see a finals rematch between the Cavs and the Warriors. I think the warriors would have a more difficult path to the finals compared to the Cavs. What i mean is that the Warriors have a higher probability of getting knocked out of the playoff's in comparison to the Cav's.

Truthfully, i will not be surprised if the Warriors implode in second round or the conference finals. I really want a finals rematch, except my Celtics pull a miracle, however, i think the Cavs have an assured finals appearance than the Warriors.

#Justsaying.
It is my fear. Rockets and Spurs have a genuine chance especially the Rockets. My joy is that the series is a 7 game series and not one off or else the probability of GSW going out would have been a notch higher. I have no option but to have faith. We need to sweep the Cavs once and for all (as impossible as it sounds). I don't know how it will happen (what I am about to say next) I mean with KD blocking Lebron et al grin grin but Curry needs a finals MVP on his resumé.

If not for Olynk that broke Love arm and Irving injury bck in 2015 (only reason steph and his Cindarellas got their ring), We wont be having this playoffs head to head talk. But never forget it Took you 6 games to defeat the King in 2015, JR was shiit back then in finals.

Are you comparing our 11 losses to your 6 losses. Do you know how many times weve rested our big 3?? . We're not a reg season stats whoree. Tell kerr to rest any of your big 3, then you can compare it to our 11 losses

Must i also remind you that when he whooped mere grizzles without Irving 103-86. You guys were choking and blowing a 24pts lead and suffering an epic 4th quater collapse on the 7th of janhuh

Must i also remind you that when Cavs rested Bron,Irving and love. Our bench lost by just 8pts to Grizz whereby you guy lost to them by 21pts?? grin

Start resting your Big 3 then we can compare the losses
If not for A. If not for B. That's all moot trash. If Draymond did play game 5. If Bogut was not injured Warriors can make the same case. With a full squad you had lost 4 straight games and actually 5 out of 6 and then the NBA swooped in to make the Playoffs take another twist while protecting the legacy of the 1996 Bulls. Everybody knows that.

Your excuse about resting players is equal load of tosh. You can afford to do that because with 11 losses you still lead your division. Come over to the west and you'd be 4th. Fact.

You beat Grizzlies this and that, makes no sense. We beat Portland silly and they beat you silly as well. Jazz can't seem to get a win against us but keep beating y'all now 6 games straight. Make up your mind already what's the major excuse you wanna hold unto. Say it so I can demolish it here once and for all.

Yea..only more energy. Good thing you didn't claim they weren't well rested. They had 3 to 4 days of rest. Good thing Lue didn't rest Bron and Kyrie..that would have been the next excuse. What else? It was just a regular season game but the 1 point win was not. We would meet at the playoffs? Yea met 2 times and it is 1-1. In both playoffs I still lead 7-6 head to head. Needed it more than y'all? Really? With 11 losses to your team compared to 6 to GSW?

You are trying too hard. From the last 3 games of the 2015 Playoff finals to the first two of the 2016 one Cavs lost 7 straight times to GSW and of those 7 losses the average points deficit is in the region of 18 or thereabouts . How you can type without a palm on your face is the 8th wonder of the world.

Shout out to Cavs as well

They needed

The NBA and it's commissioner

Ejecting Curry and Suspending Green
Injuring Bogut
3 All stars
3 former All stars
A former 3 point champ
2 rookies of the year
Olympians
A 4 time league MVP and 3 time finals MVP
15, 14, 5 and 1 point to beat GSW 4 times in a row compared to 21, 13, 8, 6, 34, 15, 33.

From the past two games, it's just important for the warriors to come out blazing... They have too much manpower on the floor. Most important thing for them actually is to hold on to the lead. Lue definitely has something to think about, you are going to have a problem if you are coming from 20 points down every time you play the warriors to try and win the game.

Can't wait for the finals though. Who is hosting the game 7 please? grin grin
Naaa, it has always been Cavs plan to make GSW feel they are in charge and then swoop in either during the game or the rematch. It is exactly the way Mohammed Ali got his revenge on Larry Holmes. Oh wait...

When GSW are 3-0 or 3-1 up we would know who the NBA wants to win it. That's usually how it happens. grin
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 7:17am On Jan 17, 2017
Arrogant lucky team that veered off from their usual stock-in-trade and wanted to match GSW for plays and shots. I know who to blame for this, it is Lola and the rest of the bronsexuals who will not be objective for 2 seconds.

What business did Cavs have leaving Curry to bring the ball half court without double-teaming him like they had done for the last 4 games leading to this? What game play was it for Korver and uncle Drew to be jacking up shots without even a string of passes?

You can lose an away game to a rival but you should avoid a beat down like this. It was not even close. If the NBA had announced a bonus for a 75 point defeat I am sure GSW would have gone for that.

Anyways, it is just a regular season game and Cavs let GSW win by 31 because they wanted to make 3-1 jokes. So in actual fact Cavs only lost by 4 points.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 12:28am On Jan 17, 2017
Lue is playing chess well. He is winning my respect. Cavs have fumbled away recently it will hurt them psychologically to be a full team and get trounced. So he has created an out that could work either ways. If he wins even with the 2nd squad, his team gains more from it. If they lose by a little, they gain from it also. If they lose heavily however, they have an excuse.

What I want Kerr to do is if Cavs rest players, let him pysch his team up as much as possible to dole out a really heavy loss that would make people say even if the biggies played nothing would have changed. I also hope Curry plays really well. He needs it.

The point is not comparing the Arsenal team of 04 to Bayern or Barca.

It is a give away to predict that Bayern would win the title in Germany.

Not so in England, that's the point.

You win Bundesliga with Bayern? So what?

The real test is here- EPL!

Thank goodness all the top coaches have assembled. Lets see how each fares.

At start of season the hype on Guardiola was unheard of. See predictions before season began...

http://m.bbc.com/sport/football/37040156

Out of 34,

18 pundits gave it to City simply because of Pep.

12 gave it to Man United just because of Mourinho

3 said Chelsea.

1 said Tottenham.

That's why I said Pep's got to win it else its all hype.
To be fair to you I see your point. But the reality again is the pundits know more than us and they know why they voted MCFC. They could have made the same excuse everyone seems to be making now and claim he was overrated thus expecting another team bar city to win it but that was not the case. Let us assume CFC will win this one and Pep has 3 more years on his contract. If he wins the next 3 is it still hype? What about 2 of the next 3?

The fact is even if he goes on to win the title this season you guys would revert to saying City have the best squad or that he spent $180M.

As per Bundesliga, It is not a give away for Bayern to win the league in Germany oga. Did we not see Wolfsburg do Bayern yeye that year and put 5 behind them enroute to winning the league? Did we not see Dortmund go back to back? If we are going to make the same argument the EPL is the same. Since 1992 United winning the league has been a giveaway with Fergie winning 13 of them before leaving in 2013. I don't have the numbers but I reckon Bayern won about the same titles in the same time span.

Leicester won't have won the league had Pep been managing AFC. He won't have bottled the league in 2007/08 when AFC finished 3rd with 83 points compared to CFCs 85 and Uniteds 87. Pep would have repeated as champ in 05 after the unbeaten year. He would have done so 2003 and 99 as well. In all these years mentioned please go and look at AFCs points compared to the winners at certain points. Wenger bottled the league in those years.

Don't get emotional on me. I am just calling it as I can see it. City have floundered this year and I am not making excuses for him or them. But this season is not over- not even close. Let us (you and the hating crew) ridicule him after 38 games not 21. That's all I am saying.

As a Nigerian, Iheanacho frustrates me. Sure he scores goals when presented with the chance to, other than that, he is waay subpar. He often misplaces passes, does not hold up play well and sometimes does not read the game well. For what was a dreadful defending performance against Everton today, Iheanacho coming on was like Maggi inside a sour soup: made no difference.

Search your soul before you answer this question...
LOL. Wenger won a double in 98. 99-01 he watched United win 3 titles back to back to back because he couldn't galvanize a double-winning team to win again. 02 Wenger wins another double. 2003, he watches A subpar United snatch the title from him after leading by 12 points. 04, Wenger goes unbeaten. Then he watches CFC win 2 titles over that unbeaten team. So my question to you is, why can't Wenger just repeat as a league champion seeing that he evidently had the best teams following his league winning years?

It is not easy to win 3 titles on the trot in 2 separate leagues. If we claim he inherited a good Bayern team (which he did, but the argument about Barca is thrash) can we agree that that Bayern team of 2013 was not the one of 2015 before he left? The point is, he was able to tweak things here and there to maintain a good squad for someone else to inherit and he repeated as champ convincingly each time. He did same with Barca even when RM kept changing managers and buying players. For that alone, he is better than Wenger. Reason: even if Wenger was able to win a league title with those teams (LOL). Wenger would have not won a second or third with either teams in close succession because his history tells us so.

The season is not over, till then we can't assess his performance with a city squad that most recently finished 4th. As it stands, Conte is the man of the year because his team is punching above their weights. But Pellegrini's city team that finished as champs in 2013 were third after 27 games. That is, 6 games after 21 games which is where the league is at today. Calm your horses.

If Pep had been coach of Valencia and not Barcelona, Leverkusen and not Bayern etc would he have won multiple titles?
It could be possible. But...

Based on what we are seeing now, I strongly doubt it.
Based on what you saw at a certain point this season Pochettino was not a good coach (UCL form); at another point Conte was not a good coach (LFC and AFC losses); At another point Mou was not a good coach either and now Pep is not.

The only problem with this is the hypotheticals. If X did not happen. If Y did not happen etc. Always wait for the league season to end then you can give your full assessment. In Pep's first league title we squandered a 12point lead to RM and where within 4 before we played them at Santiago. Bearing in mind, we had CFC away on the Tues (in a make or mar UCL semis).

What followed was a 6-2 thrashing of RM and a 1-1 draw at CFC. We ended up winning a treble and subsequently 6 trophies in a year span.

The message is: calm down, the season is not over. CFC look money for the title while the rest of the lot are scrambling for 2nd-4th. If it makes you happy, Wenger will not win the league with CFCs, City's, Tottenham or even Uniteds team. So how do you rate Wenger? If great, that's good because Pep is better than him.

Yeah sure, we know u are there always even on invincible mode.
Meanwyl, I spent over 3hours reading that ur article on golden state and steve Kerr.
Man, there was nuffing about luck in that story. They patiently built the team to were it is now. But the irony is that it materialised much quicker than it was meant to be or expected.
And from what I got, Steve Kerr accelerated the process. He made it look so easy. But its not. In the first place , the players weren't meant to like him, but they did.
The guy has got one hell of a charisma. And seems to be able to relate with any kind of character on the person's level. That's what happens when u got multiple -personality.
He's a 5 time NBA champ, but could relate with those on the bench.
He's naturally as soft as curry but could go tough and vulgar with draymond.

He actually sped up the process, held the organisation together, unlike mark Jackson.

And the guy has got loads of plays in his head.
You took all the extracts from the article that I was trying to point out. I wanted people to see that Kerr has a deep understanding of the game and does not just rely on his stars to bail him out. That every thing is designed in the way it comes out and that he is a student of the game.

One thing that trips me about him (and it is a sign in many good coaches) is how he responds when his teams goes through stretches of bad plays or are not making points. Almost all the time when he calls for a timeout I have noticed that GSW immediately goes on a run. It shows he calls the right plays. Of course sometimes it will not work out but ones ability to adjust in-game is a good sign that the person knows what he is doing.

Kyrie and K.Love have dropped form recently. Why do you think? And how do you rate T Lou?
