He was acquitted based on technicalities and not because there was no proof or evidence of doping because there was concrete evidence. Results showed he had 6 times the normal limits of the steroid "Nandrolone" in his system. Secondly, Nandrolone is not a supplement found in regular energy drinks because it is classified as a controlled substance that requires a prescription and it is administered through injections.

I would be more concerned about guardiola's barcelona and man city,knowing that he has been fingered in a doping case when he was still a player.

In 2007 he was exonerated by the Italian FA but had to prove his innocence again when Italy’s anti-doping authorities reopened the case. Then Barcelona coach, he was finally cleared of all charges in 2009.
