es144000: daily for IMO in 2023 came to 14647,last year was similar, this year will not be much different. Anyway 17000 is not far off. fx45: Imo produces 17,000 barrels of crude per day. Brent Crude currently sells for $78 per barrel. I can help you do the math
17,000 x 365 = 6,205,000 barrels per year.
6,205,000 x $78 = $483,990,000
Based on the current exchange rate of N1626 for $1, Imo State rakes in N786,967,740,000bn per year for the Zoo.
Now how much does Imo State get per month as Federal allocation? Imo gets an average N9bn per month as allocation. Multiply it by 12.
These figures exclude revenue from natural gas... And Imo State has the largest gas reserves in Nigeria.
Now tell us who is stealing from who
Ndi ara! Na u be ndi Ara.40% of the revenue goes to the oil companies while 60% is left for Nigeria. |

I guess the current governor is in the good books of the elder states man,if not he would not be singing and praising him, Delta State is one of the oil producing states in the south South region and with high earnings from the federal government sharing formula, I think the second, after Akwa Ibom or Rivers States, but today in Delta State it's a state of nothing to write home about, the leaders keep sharing the resources of that state. Delta state has been the number one oil derivation state for some years now. |
