Self deceit.

The north has once again proved that it is not about party for them but about the leaders. If PMB raises anyone's hands in the North in 2023, the person will win there.
But he raised the hand of Ganduje and Bindow of Adamawa?

See childishness displayed at every small opportunity.

If anything, the "illiterate north" have once again proved to be more politically savvy than the so-called "educated south" in these elections.

In Kano, the people voted overwhelmingly for PMB in the presidential election for his sterling qualities. The same people are speaking differently to Ganduje.

In Sokoto, PMB won effortlessly but have now rejected the APC governor.

In the South, SE and SS especially, we continuously see poor governance from Abia to Rivers to Delta states, yet the "educated and sophisticated people" will rather die to see a more qualified person win there just because he belongs in another party.
By "more qualified person" you mean Amaechi's puppet? Anyway, the dollar bribe video was the bane of Ganduje, besides that, in my opinion, he is one the best performing governors in Nigeria.

The NJC didn't see the blatant unprofessional and evil act by the the so-called judge of the Kano state High Court who was obviously compromised by giving a fraudulent "judgment" preventing the Kano State House of Assembly from performing their constitutional duty of making the governor account for his looting.

Politics / Ganduje Bribery Video: HEDA Sues CJN by escodotman: 5:38am On Mar 08, 2019
A non-governmental organisation, Human and Environmental Development Agenda, has filed a suit to compel the Chief Justice of Nigeria to probe the bribery allegation against Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.

HEDA said it resorted to suing the CJN after a Kano State High Court halted Ganduje’s probe by the Kano State House of Assembly.

HEDA’s Chairman, Olanrewaju Suraju, said in a statement on Thursday that the group is seeking an order of mandamus against the CJN in relation to Ganduje’s probe.

He said the suit, which HEDA filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja, had already been assigned to a judge, who had fixed March 21 for hearing.

He said HEDA sought “an order granting leave to it to apply for a judicial review to seek an order directing the Chief Justice of Nigeria to investigate the allegations against Ganduje based on Section 52 of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission Act 2000 (as amended).”

HEDA wants the court to compel the CJN to appoint an independent counsel to “investigate the grave allegations against the Kano State Governor.”

Suraju said HEDA decided to sue the CJN after a letter it wrote requesting Ganduje’s probe was ignored.

A journalist, Jafaar Jafaar, had last year released a series of video clips online, wherein Ganduje was allegedly shown taking American dollar bills from a contractor and stuffing same into the pocket of his clothes.

The Kano State House of Assembly had initiated a probe to ascertain the veracity of the video clips, but a Kano State High Court made an order, halting the probe

Politics / Re: Atiku Rejects The Result, Heads To Court by escodotman: 9:47am On Feb 27, 2019
It seems Buhari and APC have long perfected the plan to perpetrate themselves in power.

How? By refusing to sign the electoral amendment bill which would have made it mandatory for card readers to be used, otherwise the election would be repeated.

Why did he refuse to sign? It was a strategic master plan to make sure card readers were slow or do not work in the Southern parts of the country to frustrate the people and subsequently disenfranchise as many as possible, to reduce the voting strengths of the South. Where the plan couldn't work, they resorted to violence to make sure many votes were cancelled in the Southern Nigeria.

The same army that held an INEC staff hostage in the same Portharcourt in a bid to force her to falsify results, based on this thread on the front page - https://www.nairaland.com/5048124/how-soldiers-scattered-collation-results.
Truly, GEJ was the last democrat Nigeria had as a president. Now they are arresting people who, maybe, disrupted their interference in the election or didn't co-operate with them.
Africa is still 100 years behind in civilization.

For the people shouting Atiku should call Buhari and congratulate him, GEJ did that because he knew he conducted an election that was free and fair and didn't use his position as the Commander-in-Chief to manipulate elections in Buhari's strongholds. Now, the same can't be said about this election.
Politics / Drama As Army Parades Commissioner, other Suspected Electoral Offenders In Rivers by escodotman: 5:16pm On Feb 26, 2019
There was a serious drama at the 6 Division of
the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday,
as a group of persons arrested for alleged
involvement in election malpractice in
Saturday’s polls publicly kicked against the
action of the Army.
The group of persons, including the Rivers State
Commissioner for Urban Development, Reason
Onyia; and some INEC ad hoc staff, maintained
that the Army lied against them.
Other suspects — a soldier identified as Major
Ubah and a Police officer, Owen, who was said
to be the camp commandant of Government
House in Port Harcourt — stood their ground
that it was wrong for Army to parade them as
criminals.
The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations,
Col. Aminu Iliyasu, was speaking on the alleged
offences of the suspects when Onyia and others
cried that the allegations of election
malpractices against them were false.
The drama, which was beamed on a national
television station, also saw the Army accusing
the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, of
trying to compromise the Army.
Governor Wike and some ad hoc staff of INEC
had earlier accused the Army of intimidation
and disruption of Saturday’s elections in Rivers
State.

Atiku is really pulling surprises in the North. This is a surprise. Kaduna supposed to be Buhari's stronghold
Southern Kaduna has not arrived.

This Delta result might just nullify kano because Atiku is doing so well in the North.
Meanwhile, majority of results released so far have been in APC strongholds and Atiku has done well surprisingly. Atiku has won Ondo in the SW. By the time SS, SE and NC start coming in, we should have an idea how far.

Exactly. He doesn't need to win much states in those 2 regions remaining. But he needs to secure the constitutionally allowable votes which is certain, with the results seen so far. In my opinion, if all what vanguard, dailypost, premiumtimes and daily post have reported so far, excluding the nairalander postings, atiku has won the 3 zones clearly, namely south east, south south and north central with some states in the south west. He also did well in states where he lost to Buhari in the region because the margin was slim. My prediction on Borno election came to pass as boko haram prevented many from coming out to vote, yobe too and those 2 states are Buhari strongholds. It's unlikely he records the kinds of figures he got in 2015 in the 2 states. I learnt Taraba and adamawa went for Atiku but it's not yet confirmed, bauchi too. I wish I could vote Buhari this time as i did 4 years ago smiley. It's my choice even if Atiku loses, whichbis unlikely, indent care . That's democracy . We dont all have to support a particular candidate.
Well said. Looks like Atiku would win Ondo state in the Southwest but Buhari might have won Ekiti state. Those are the two states in the Southwest whose results look to have been decided so far. Atiku is doing so well in Oyo state too, looks like he's leading there. These are places where Jonathan lost heavily in 2015.
