Politics / Re: What Atiku Can’t Deny About Buhari – Osinbajo Reveals by escodotman: 6:20am On Jan 09, 2019
What about the people who have become billionaires? The same "honesty" and "integrity" narratives they fed gullible Nigerians to win the last election, they are hoping to use same to win this time around but the people are now wiser. Buhari's so-called imaginary "integrity" has made Nigeria worse.

Blackberry phones optimize data a lot because you don't need to keep switching off your data every time you are not using the internet unlike Android phones that you must not forget to switch off your data when you are not making use of it.

Firstly, it was not signing the electoral amendment bill into law unless it would only be used after 2019 elections.
Secondly, obvious interference with INEC by ensuring Amina Zakari was given a major role in the forthcoming election.
Thirdly, trying to retain a "loyal" IGP to oversee the elections.
Buhari should know that no matter how hard he tries, if God says he would won't be the next president of Nigeria, then he won't. Even if Yusuf, his son, is appointed as INEC chairman.

What do you expect a man who made history by truncating Nigeria's democracy, due to his greed for power, to say... Buhari has been destroying democracy since inception, the way he's still destroying it now. That's who he is.

I've always said this and will still repeat it; when Buhari and his looting cabal leaves power, Nigerians would be shocked to see the monumental corruption and reckless looting they did while in office. The incoming administration should begin their probe from Abba Kyari. Even zombies and buharideens would be amazed that their acclaimed mr integrity is the worst Nigerian president ever.

Politics / Re: New Minimum Wage: FG Reacts To Labour’s December 31 Deadline by escodotman: 12:58am On Dec 22, 2018
festacman:

Buhari is my president and I believe in many things he is doing. I love his strengths in spite of his weaknesses. I certainly want him to continue for more four years and I owe nobody any apology. You are free to support your own candidate. It is your right.

Nothing is cast in stone as far the negotiated minimum wage is concerned. For people like you if Nigeria being burnt can take Buhari away, then let it be. So for you you are driven by deep-rooted hatred. For me I am concerned about the long term welfare of Nigeria. There has to be a Nigeria for workers to earn a living.

If it is easy to vote out the governors, why were workers passive when they were owed for several months. Why didn't they go on strike even when FG bailout fund was diverted by governors.

I stand by my post.
"there has to be a Nigeria for workers to earn a living" really? If the government pay 30k as a minimum wage, then there won't be a Nigeria again? I now understand who is talking.

For people like you, the nation can continue go from bad to worse, so far Buhari remains in power, you don't care. People like you love Buhari more than you love your country, Buhari comes first for your likes while Nigeria comes second, and that's the basis of your blind support for him no matter how poor and bad his administration has performed according to numerous data from National Bureau of Statistics and different International Agencies.

Hopefully Buhari would continue more than four years in your house. If your likes are truly concerned about the welfare of Nigeria, then you would understand that there has to be Nigerians before there can be a Nigeria. Nigeria as a country is not the Aso villa or the NASS complex, or the many buildings But rather the PEOPLE, the MASSES without which no country can exist!
And for your information, maybe those workers who have been denied their salaries are waiting for election time in order to respond and vote out the governors who have refused to pay them.
Anyway, hope you are also aware that many states have agreed to pay the new minimum wage? Infact, some states said they are ready to pay over 30k and more than 40k.

Zero objectivity! The FG has repeatedly agreed on the N30,000! Eve when the minimum wage proposed by Labour was N52,000, the FG agreed to pay but the states have to be in agreement. When the states were brought in to negotiate with Labour, the meeting concluded in the states being able to pay only N30,000 and not the N52,000 Labour had proposed to the FG.
You people should try to be objective in your criticism and not allow sentiments cloud you. I live abroad and I don't collect Npower money like you have ignorantly posted. I really pity people like you!
If you like, live in the moon. You obviously don't know anything about the new minimum wage. There was no time the FG agreed to pay 52k, rather, the FG was forced to agree to pay 30k by the Organised Labour and Private Sector after the committee set up by the FG concluded their report.
The question now is that; why does the FG need another "high powered technical committee" again after many months of deliberations before arriving at 30k?

NLC led by Wabara and ULC led Ajaero should realize that if it took dialogue for two of them to come together after acrimonious split of NLC, then further dialogues with FG rather than strike remains the way forward on this issue of minimum wage. Shutting down economy early next year will not only weaken the economy but it will disrupt the elections.

Furthermore, like in other climes, all States of the federation cannot pay the same minimum wage. Zamfara can't pay the same as Lagos or Rivers state.

More importantly, can Federal Government impose and enforce a minimum wage on the federating units (the states) without due consultation and discussion.

People like you, no matter what the government does, it's always Ok and the right thing. Buhari could sh!t in your mouth and you would gladly lick it because of your blind and unpatriotic support for Buhari. To people like you, Buhari is your god. Isn't it interesting that you said "further dialogues" are what is needed for a new minimum wage that has been due since almost 3 years ago?? Even when the same government already set up a committee with NLC, TUC and the rest, that agreed and submitted their report over a month ago? What other dialogues are you talking about again?
FG should implement the new minimum wage, any state governor who refuses to toe the same line, let the state's NLC respond through voting out the governor, instead of FG hiding under the guise that states can't pay.
Wow! People like you defend Buhari without shame, even when the government is obviously buying time and delaying probably till after election.

Hmm... truly they say ignorant is a disease. Your suggestion of going to see a doctor may be the best thing, not because she needs a doctor to check her but because she needs a doctor to educate her and make her know that a woman does not determine the sex of a baby, it is the man that does. The man is responsible for donating the Y Chromosome which determines the sex/gender of a baby. It is amazing that most couples, especially in Africa, are still unaware of this in this present time. I think more enlightenment needs to be done, just like the issue of genotype/genetic compatibility is being taking serious nowadays, simply because ignorance about who is responsible for the sex of a baby has destroyed many homes and marriages in Africa by ignorant husband's families.

With or without he will win but as a politician, sealing a deal for your re-election and a reasonable vote for presidency is not a bad idea. Why is Dakuku not contesting this time around?

Stop misleading people here. The last governor who would seal a deal with APC is Wike, in as much as Rotimi Amaechi is still in APC. No governor in the Southsouth needs any federal might to win their elections, not to talk of Rivers state. Even if Wike tells Rivers people to vote for Buhari, he would loose, Rivers people are PDP since the start of democracy. No governor can change their minds.

Nigeria was adjudged Africa's best economy in 2018 by Forbes.

In terms of growth rate, given the fact that Nigeria just exited recession, it makes sense we're not in the top ten in GDP growth rate.

"A major research firm, Forbes Africa has rated Nigeria as the 2018 best economy in Africa.

It published its findings on the ten biggest economies of Africa with Nigeria topping the list.

According to Forbes, Nigeria came on top with $172 billion which was followed by South Africa with $166.735 billion.

Also on the list was Egypt as third with $78 billion, Algeria with $66, Lybia :$65, Botswana: $22.675, Ghana :$20.458 Morroco :$18, Ivory Coast :$11 and Madagascar with $6.766 billion".

You intend to remain in APC, contest for senator and ''deliver votes for Buhari'' but sponsor your son inlaw to contest in another party for governorship election. Okorocha must think himself as a god and all Imo people as foolish. His blind and selfish ambition may just be his downfall. Both Okorocha and Buhari himself are failures and thieves who should be rejected by the sane.

Meanwhile, Festus Keyamo's conduit pipe to siphon millions of naira is the NNPC. Buhari Campaign Organisation is using fake companies to procure ''contracts''. Everyone of them has their own ATM machine. People would realise by the time Buhari, his cabal and his fellow partners in looting are voted out, it would become clear that Abacha's looting would be a small case compared to Buhari.

Show me any government that is as deceptive as this Buhari's government and I will tell you that you have no sense at all. Obasanjo's PDP government established EFCC and ICPC to curb and fight corruption, Jonathan's PDP government initaited and established TSA and BVN to prevent and discourage corruption. Mr ''integrity'' came with ''body language'' which later became ''body odour'', and established legal corruption. All you have to do is belong to the APC while the EFCC looks away no matter the level of allegations against you or how enmenshed or dirty you are in corruption. Only those who rufuse to join the party of the ''saints'' are corrupt. Lol.

What an apt response from GEJ! The irony of it all is that even the visionless and directionless people who surround the dullard know themselves that he has nothing upstairs. That's why it is so easy for them to continue to plagiarise different things and hand it over to the dullard, because they know he could not even comprehend anything written there. What do you expect from a man who does not even know how old he is? He reads everything from a prepared speech, even during campaigns! So, one would wonder if he read a Westlife's love song to Aisha to ask her out! Jonathan is everything Buhari can never be in his life time. Buhari is a failure, the worst president Nigeria has ever had. No wonder Nigeria is now witnessing and having all the bad figures and statistics the country never had in the past, not even during the military regimes. Despite doubling the price of fuel, thereby bringing untold hardship on Nigerians, he continues to blame previous administrations, whose achievment he can never match even if he continues in Aso rock for 100 years, for his monumental failures.

This explains why they are unable to produce a President in the last 50 years or Vice in the last 35 years not even senate president since 11years ago or speaker of house since 35years ago.

You are the one taking your Buhari hatred to another level. You don't know the details of the deal that fell through and you are already condemning your president for not paying such a huge sum as compensation. What exactly did the company do in Nigeria that made them deserve such a huge compensation? Why did they file their case in UK and not Nigeria? Why did PDP refuse to pay before handing over?
Your unreasonable worship of Buhari has clouded your sense of judgement and made you think that Buhari can never be wrong. What about the Lagos Metro Rail that Buhari cancelled after the coup he plotted? Nigeria paid billions of dollars in compensation to the company contracted for the project. Buhari, rather than allow the project to finish to ease the traffic problems which has become an albatross to Lagosians today, didn't have any problem paying huge compensation to the said company for the cancellation, so far a Southwestern state does not have such an infrastructure. Buhari has been the enemy of Nigeria for a log time.
