bluecircle470:Why don't you tell people about the "past senates"? |
Kudos to the 8th National Assembly, another good step coming from them. Despite the mud thrown at Saraki and Dogara by the likes of Tinubu and the blame pushing from the presidency, for refusing to be a lackey and stooge, the 8th National Assemby under the leadership of Senator Saraki and Honourable Dogara still remains one of the best, if not the best National Assemby in the history of Nigeria's democracy. |
omenkaLives:Of course you wouldn't care how the judgment was gotten, because it's not one of your gods in the cabal that was affected! Dude, you claim you want to the judiciary to be above board but the same judiciary (in this case, the CCT) has just dished out an allegedly a corrupt judgment obtained by the conniviance between the executive and danladi, now you tell me, how do you build a corrupt-free country and grow democracy when various institutions that are supposed to dish out justice are desecrated by some few elements? Are you ignorant to the fact that danladi overruled the same judgment he gave just last in the case of Justice Ngwuta just to achieve the aim of the cabal? Do you know that APC cannot be at the center forever? So what if another party gets there tomorrow and also continue to use the CCT against the APC members unconstitutionally? Can you wash a dirty cloth with a gutter water? Is that how to build a long lasting democracy like the developed world? If you believe it is, then the likes of you are the greatest problem to Nigeria. |
omenkaLives:Don't rejoice yet because the CCT corrupt judgment obtained by the cabal has been appealed. So, no bank is taking delivery of any forfeiture order yet, and even if they do, it can't be acted upon. |
sapele914:Now you made a mistake by comparing the self-inflicted disarray of APC in Rivers state to this argument. The court never said APC did not field a candidate in Rivers, rather, the judgment was that APC did not conduct a lawful and legal primary election that would have made them field a candidate. Do you get it now? |
They also said Buhari is not from Nigeria at all, but from Sudan. Keep living in fool's paradise and not prepare a serious defence to your rigged election. Someone who has been a Vice President for 2 terms? APC's joke is an example of what ogogoro can do to a right-thinking man. |
Joke. After the defeated governor already conceded defeat and congratulated the winner? |
No wonder they were running from court to court to stop the collation. i really hope they would go to tribunal to further waste their money |
semyman:Idiot, you are the biggest fool if you think he's APC when nothing was done with the bullion vans. |
RichBoy247:A word of advice for you; go and take care of your bi-polar disorder first, you are seriously suffering from a manic-depressive psychosis. See a psychiatrist ASAP. Those two former governors you foolishly referred to were charged and arraigned to court during the PDP administration. Criminal cases of money laundering don't start and end in 3years, their trials have been going on before Buhari got to power but your depression wouldn't let you comprehend that. |
But the bullion vans were and are still invincible to the compromised EFCC till today. I guess this one is a PDP politician EFCC is as worst and corrupt as the Nigerian police |
It should be drafted into the constitution that outgoing governors should not award any contract after the general elections in any state. It is typical of Nigerian politicians once they know they are leaving or has been prevented from planting their stooge before they leave office, they would start scheming a last-gasp siphoning of state resources, the same way they say the "statue man" in Imo state has been selling off government cars and properties. |
ChristianNorth:That's unfortunate then. However, they can still have him contribute discretely, away from the public. I've always known Kanu Agabi to be Saraki's lawyer. |
MrAJQ:This fellow is so uncivilized in his mentions, always resorting to insults and abuses as if Buhari knows who he is. You should learn how to respect people's opinions without insulting them, it is very barbaric. |
Like Leo Messi is to football, Julius Berger is to construction, this man has become a specialist in election petition tribunal. Atiku should add him to his tribunal legal team ASAP if he's not part of it already. |
The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in Ogun State, Adekunle Akinlade; and his party have hired Dr. Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, as their lead counsel for their petition at the election tribunal. Ikpeazu was the lead counsel for the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the 2018 Osun governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke. Ikpeazu led Adeleke’s legal team at the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal, which eventually declared Adeleke winner of the September 2018 election on March 22, 2019. Ikpeazu, on behalf of Akinlade and the APM in the state on Tuesday, urged the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Ogun State to give an order mandating the Independent National Electoral Commission to grant them access to the documents used for conduct of March 9 election in the state. The motion, which was filed by Ikpeazu, SAN, was supported by five-paragraphs affidavit and a written address. Ikpeazu will be leading other three SANs — Mamman Osuman, Sebastine T. Hon and Ahmed Raji, alongside other 12 lawyers. In the motion ex parte, Akinlade and the APM are the first and second petitioners, while INEC, the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Dapo Abiodun, are first, second and third respondents respectively in the application. The petitioners in the motion ex parte marked EPT/06/GOV/01/2019, said the inspection became imperative to allow them institute a petition before the Tribunal. The INEC had declared Abiodun winner of the March 9 governorship election in Ogun State, having polled 241,670 votes to defeat his arch-rival and candidate of APM, Akinlade, who scored 222,153 votes. While filing the application on 11 grounds, the petitioners submitted that without a formal order from the Tribunal, the respondents would not avail them the required documents for the purpose of instituting their petition. The documents sought to be inspected, they said, “are indispensable for the purpose of instituting and maintaining the said petition.” https://punchng.com/election-petition-ogun-apm-akinlade-hire-adelekes-lead-counsel/

Senatordave1 would come here and start predicting how the places the re-run are to take place are "APC strongholds" like he said about Bauchi and Sokoto elections He was told but he chose to continue to be partisan and refused to state the truth and facts until the results were announced |

ABUJA-THE Coalition of United Political Parties,CUPP, yesterday, accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, of arresting the personal driver of the suspended Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onnoghen. It claimed in a statement, signed by it’s spokesman,Ikenga Ugochinyere, that the move by the anti-graft agency was aimed at forcing the driver, identified as Mr.Emmanuel Essien, to signing what it called an “indicting documents against the suspended CJN.” It described it as “desperate hunt for evidence to indict Onnoghen after their charges of lies at CCT collapsed.” The full statement read:” Muhammadu Buhari- led Federal Government today launched a fresh offensive against the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, with the abduction of his driver Mr.Emmanuel Essien by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. “This development is coming less than a week after operatives of this heavily partisan anti- graft body invaded Onnoghen’s farm in Nasarawa State. “The Coalition of United Political Parties sees this new offensive against Justice Onnoghen as one too many. “We note that the government, having seen from yesterday’s proceedings at the Code of Conduct Tribunal that the trump up charges filed against him may not fly, has resorted to hunting for evidence to further indict him. “We reiterate our position that President Buhari is desperate to see Onnoghen resign without any justifiable reasons. “The plan is to ensure that the government and the party in power, All Progressives Congress, completely takes over the Supreme Court ahead of election appeals arising from the governorship and presidential elections. “The CUPP is, therefore, asking President Buhari to direct the EFCC to quickly release all Onnoghen’s domestic workers and also apologise to the CJN since all the lies against him have been exposed at the CCT. “It will interest Nigerians to know that revelations at the CCT have so far shown that the number of houses and account balance being reported to belong to Onnoghen have been found to be false. “It has also been revealed at the CCT that the case against him was filed even before investigation was done. “Having suffered this great blow at the CCT and aware that the case against the CJN will fail, they decided to embark on a new offensive to manufacture evidence in order to nail Onnoghen at all cost. “We call on all lovers of peace to stand up to be counted on this matter. They should stand by the truth even at the risk of their lives.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/03/cupp-kicks-as-efcc-arrest-onnoghens-driver/ Lalasticlala |
PatrioticNaija:Don't talk off point. It was a simple question; how did you expect in your mind that Buhari should meddle in court processes? APC won a lot of court cases during PDP's government. Aregbesola won and became a governor, Fayemi won and became a governor, Oshiomole won and became a governor, even Peter Obi of APGA won and became a governor without Obasanjo or Jonathan meddling in court processes. So I ask the question again, how did you now expect Buhari to meddle in court processes during his own time, is he a judge or a lawyer or what exactly are you talking about? |
tunjijones:But what did you expect Buhari to do in this case? How did you think Buhari would have meddled in the court process? Is Buhari a judge or a lawyer? |
This is real and true. Just saw the "breaking news" on Channels tv now!!!

Gandollar:The so-called analysts on various tv stations that have pelted the man with many bad names should now hide heads in shame. |
MrAJQ:Go back to school and learn how to construct a correct English before I could reply you. Your grammar is a shame and a disgrace. |
jericco1:It is widely believed that the main purpose of the suspension is about the tribunal cases which may arise after the elections. So the purpose has not been achieve since no election tribunal has even started |
brainhgeek:Which compensation suit are you talking about? If he's declared innocent, he would be returned as the CJN, since the FG said he wasn't removed but just "suspended" |
MrAJQ:Unless you are not following the media. The news was everywhere and even some public affairs analysts were saying it on t.v. |
jericco1:Remember that if the man is found innocent, he would be reinstated as the CJN and would sit on the election case between Atiku and Buhari if the case gets to the Supreme court. |
