Ghost447: The ISSUE here is does the EFCC have the power in law to freeze the bank account of a citizen or not without recourse to a Court of law?. The answer in view of Section 34(1) of EFCC Act, is an emphatic"no". If EFCC cannot freeze any citizen's account without recourse to a court of law and section 308 of the Constitution says you cannot take Fayose to court because he is a Governor, does it not simply mean you cannot freeze Fayose's account as a Governor? Note: I'm not a member/supporter of any Political party or politicians, but I am a supporter of the Rule of law. EFCC was created by law and now they are disobedient to the same law that created them and empowers them. There are always procedures to be followed in every legal debacle or situation, but I just don't know why EFCC have suddenly decided to be using military approach to resolve issues. We cannot jettisoned the rule of law while "fighting" corruption because doing so will amount to greater evil and corruption. " The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch without doing anything" - Albert Einstein Go and get yourself legally tutored, and stop this crap. You know nothing about the power of Efcc. |

Since the emergence of Yahaya Bello one has not failed to see all sorts of pettiness. The other day, it was thugs and miscreants attacking some civil servants who were organising to protest the array of unpaid salaries in Lokoja, claiming they don't want anybody to derail the so called 'new direction'. Yahaya, tread with caution...... My one cent... |

Spot on. Let those shouting 'witch hunting' continue.... Every one that has eaten our 'yam' is a witch, let them be Hunted. Thank God Buhari is a specialist in witch hunting. If, he is selective, then let the successive government select him and his owns later. How I wish the past government had shown such assault against corruption, at least that would have injected more sanity into our system. |

Sad that most Nigerians have murdered sanity on the altar of politics and ethnic bigotry. |

kolomax: you see that's the problem we are facing in Nigeria if you ever heard of Ansar-udeen schools this is built by Muslims but never will they ask Christians to use hijab or pray with Muslims but all you can bring is that if it's Muslims blabla without you verifying things beside is the hijab disturbing anyone of them I don't know why people just like hating One thing with you people is, you always cry for equity and fairness when it favour you. But will never allow it when its not. Tell me, will an Ansar-udeen Islamic secondary school ever allow Christian prayer and fellowship in school premises? Never, I live in ilorin so I understand better. This is just a microcosm of how the Muslims in the middle east and other parts make life difficult for non Muslims, then go to the Europe calling for equity, Liberty and fairness, things they never allowed |

Housing: Those schools are public schools not private or christian schools. When Baptist came to Iwo they were given land free, those land were not sell to them it was the sacrifice of Iwo a predominant Muslim community to have western education. Both Muslim and Christian schools were taken over by Government in the 70s. In the Muslim schools that are now public don't discriminate why should the Christian schools that are now public discriminate? This issue of hijab as part of uniform is allowed even as part of police uniforms in Europe. Why are we trying to make mountain out of a mole? The issue of hijab in Osun is more than a religious issue. Does the Deeper life have church uniform? I trust Pastor Kumuyi he has better things to say, maybe he wanted to set the record straight. One thing you with you people is, you always cry for equity and fairness when it favour you. But will never allow it when its not. Tell me, will an Ansar-udeen Islamic secondary school ever allow Christian prayer and fellowship in school premises? Never, I live in ilorin so I understand better.
