doesnt change the fact that its a long game ponzi scheme, criminals use it to move cash, speculators use it to take advantage of new investors, someone with 2 million bitcoins for sale will crash the entire system in less than 5hrs
Yes yes yes, because criminals have never used fiat to move cash in the history of currency before.
It's obvious you don't know much about cryptocurency. But I can guarantee, years from now you'll be involved because that's where the world is headed.
All the big companies in the world now hold BTC, Some of the richest pple in the world own it and it's done of the poorest in the world that'll be calling it "Ponzi scheme".

BTC is not pinkcoin o. Know the difference.
I rest my case with you.

You mentioned the world is moving away from fiat money...

So the question is to "To what?"

If you answer is Bitcoin, then what have you bought with Bitcoin lately?

Unfortunately, right now, Bitcoin is not a currency.
He's right. The world is moving away from fiat to crypto. There are crypto ATMs in Europe and the US/Canada where u can fund ur cards with crypto and use it to trade/pay.
Many online stores also accept bitcoin payment.

Admittedly in Africa it's still in the nascent stage. 15 years from now crypto will be the main trading medium and there ain't nothing the cbn can do about it.

someone called it a company that its traded like stocks hence the question

decentralized meaning nobody will be held responsible if its value plummets and people lose all their savings
How come you only look at the "negative" side of it.
Fiat like the Naira also plummets or gains, do you hold the government responsible?

BTC, BNB, ETH and other alts have gained immensely since inception and will only get better.
Imagine if u had 2 BTC 5yrs ago and you hodl, would u be saying all this?
Contrast that to having 18 million in the bank from 5yrs ago, now it's value would have only diminished as the Naira has "plummeted" since bubu took power.

What is the economic benefit of crypto currency? Does it contribute to the country's GDP? Is it tied to productivity in any way? Agric, tech, etc. Or do one just stay at home, play with figures and gets paid hugely.
Blockchain is the most secure technology right now. Many central banks of the world big tech or social media companies are adopting it. Of course it contributes to GDP.

That is one of the best thing crypto has given to people. The freedom to be in control of ur money. It is decentralized. No government or banks has to be in charge but you who's the owner.

You have to be really dense to not know this is their response to the end sars protest.

November last year, CBN banned all direct transfers to Nigerian bank accounts from outside the country. You can recieve money but not more than $5000 and not directly to your bank account, you’d need to go to the bank, provide ID and recieve in Cash.

Now, CBN banner crypto. Remember during the protest, after bank transfers were banned from sites like flutter wave, the people switched to crypto! Now the crypto is gone, people died and the protest is looking like it was for nothing!
Absolutely spot on. They want to silence and punish all EndSars advocates. Remember even Jack supported the movement by contributing through crypto.

Emefiele and Buhari are the absolute worst two pieces of shit to ever hold power of important position in this country.

The issue is that l applied for covid19 loan it was not approved, can l reject it if approved to be eligible for nyif loan since there is hope. I applied for 300k for covid loan, l want use CAC for nyif to access more fund 1M+ . The CAC is new, how can l go about Annual returns, Net Profit, Gross Profit , Annual revenue, Top 3 customers , Top 3 suppliers if needed. Thanks so much
Go ahead and apply for the NYIF.
You won't file any tax returns since your biz is newly registered. Your net profit and other accountable should be based on monthly average from ur business as contained in ur business plan if u have one or just use "best guess" from current market trend.
Cheers!!

I am so sad right now. The other man I applied on his behalf - a pastor has been scammed of his money. He got the approval on 23rd like most and accepted the offer same day, 280k. Last night we were discussing and he mentioned to us (couple of his friends) that he received a call at noon from his "fcmb account officer" telling him his account needs to be updated. Long story short, the scammer asked him to call back a code sent to his phone, and he did.
He had last week filled and submitted an "women enpowement" form. I think that's were the scam came from.

I advised him first thing this morning he should reach his bank so they could block the account or do something helpful to him. But alas, NIRSAL credited his account at just past 11 pm last night, and this morning by 6am his account was wiped clean.

Anyone who has experience on this should please advise on how to handle such.

Those of us who have applied since April till June and have not gotten approval, think hard as to what might be the cause in your application process that is making them approve some pple who applied before you. It go me thinking and I discovered a mistake I might have made in my application process. Now, I don't know this for sure, but its a theory I think might cause lack of approval on my part. I applied for sme when the link for household wasn't going, and when the link for household later went through, I successfully applied on 12th of June. Yet most who applied after 12th are getting approval.

The way the date field was designed in the application form was not friendly or helpful to applicants. On the field where you get asked to choose date you established ur business, I couldn't be patient to navigate backwards to 2013 when I started my biz so I just chose April 2020 for convenience.

Now, thinking about it, the covid19 loan was to help established businesses who were affected by the pandemic, not newly established businesses which, going by the date I had input was a new business created during the pandemic.

I don't know if this is a criteria for certain, so I want to ask the house if anyone who has been approved or paid input their business creation date within this year? Did u have ur business created this year (what you entered in the form) March - June and got approval?
Pls answer so we can disprove or affirm this theory.

Others can contribute what they think might be causing no approval for some of us. I know some who didn't use either TIN or CAC also got sme approval. I'm sick of seeing "bvn doesn't exist" all the time.

The evidences are there. Why we dont want to go to the court is cus we never innitiated the process from reporting to police to court. As it is now, it seems it is the man that is prosecuting us.. How is that possible? U commit a crime then take the case to court.. I need good counsel on how and best way to handle this. The man is working around freely while am here squatting with someone....

This is painful intimidation
There is nothing to fear is u know you're not guilty and nothing to hide. As I said, seek the advice of a lawyer and perhaps go to another police station with evidence to arrest him.

Why don't you people want to go to the court? I know this country is bad, but get your own lawyer and seek his counsel. He can work with the lawyer police appointed or take over your case.

How did you make the rent payments? Is there no evidence that you paid the landlord? Did he issue you receipt? Did you make bank deposit/transfer?( I hope this is the one you did)
Provide evidence to the court or to another police station that could help you.

Good luck!
