Kindly note that this selection and matching process will be done in batches over the next few weeks. Ginalex:Veritas is rubbish. Their staffs are blind Imagine ooo On my CSCS Statement of Account, my name is written as: ATTAHIRU BOLANLE CHIBUIKE The confused Veritas people say that mean my surname is ATTAHIRU. I told them my Surname is CHIBUIKE. They said I need to go and do plenty plenty processes to do correction of name at CSCS. I told them they are sick. If the arrangement of the names is their confusion, they need to go back to Primary school. They can only conclude that my surname is written as ATTAHIRU, if the names had been written like this: ATTAHIRU, BOLANLE CHIBUIKE But there is no comma after the ATTAHIRU In fact as I always say, for one reason or the other, Registrars do not want to pay dividends to investors. Registrars are the major causes of Unclaimed Dividends! |
BigBashiru:Considering the way Nigerian banks operate these days...you might cue up for 5hrs before submitting your form. You might even drop the form with the bank, and the Job won't be done, just to call you back again to submit it. I prefer sending e-mandate form to the registrar. it's faster, and you can be sure that you did it. |

RabbiDoracle:First Bank of Nigeria says it will suspend international transactions on its naira Mastercard from September 30. In March, financial institutions reduced the international spending limit on naira cards from $100 to $20 monthly. In a recent statement to its customers, the bank said such transactions would not be available on its naira credit card, virtual card and visa prepaid naira card. “Due to current market realities on foreign exchange, you will no longer be able to use the Naira Mastercard, Naira Credit Card, our Virtual card and Visa Prepaid Naira card for international transactions. This will take effect on 30 September 2022,” First Bank said. "Please use your Visa Debit Multicurrency Card, Visa Prepaid (USD) Card and Visa Gold Credit Card to continue transacting abroad with limits of up to $10,000.” In July, Standard Chartered Bank suspended international transactions on its naira visa debit card. Flutterwave, Eversend and other fintech platforms had also stopped virtual card services for international transactions. The development comes on the back of foreign exchange scarcity — affecting key sectors — which the country is currently battling. On Tuesday, the naira dropped to N436 a dollar at the Investors and Exporters window and N712 at the parallel market. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had hinted that it would stop the sale of foreign exchange to banks by the end of the year. Godwin Emefiele, CBN governor, said banks should generate FX proceeds from exporters to give their customers (importers). “The era is coming to an end when, because your customers need $100 million in foreign exchange or $200 million, you now want to pack all the dollars and pass it to CBN to give you dollars,” he had said. “It is coming to an end before or by the end of this year. We will tell them don’t come to the Central Bank for foreign exchange again go and generate their export proceeds.” |
Wapgod:I have no problem with them whatsoever. I choose my problems carefully, and having anything to do with Pace Registrar is definitely not a problem I will choose, either now or in the foreseeable future. |
Pace Registrars has won the award of overall Worst Registrar in Nigeria. This is the Registrar in charge of Japaul, Sterling Bank, Academy Press, and some other unpopular companies. Even reputable companies in Nigeria have come to avoid Pace Registrar like a plague. |
Tareq1105:who is your own headache? |
I do not know him, but so long as he is in APC, and he is a supporter of Tinubu, then this is a welcome development. Next news please. |

HOW DEFUNCT NIGER INSURANCE, STANDARD ALLIANCE WILL AFFECT CUSTOMERS Do you carry Niger Insurance, or Standard Alliance Insurance policies? If you do, experts say the company’s liquidation means that you cannot get compensation for any loss that occurs from June, this year. Mr. Nwanne and Mr. Segun fit this scenario. Last week, Mr. Nwanne hit Mr. Segun’s car bumper badly. Rather than fight, Mr. Segun and Mr. Nwanne’s agreed to see their motor insurance certificate only to find out they were carrying certificates of Niger Insurance, a company whose licence was revoked three months ago. Both were in a dilemma over how to deal with the situation. As a policyholder, you have a right to demand claims payment from the liquidator or receiver manager of both defunct firms, namely Sanya, Ogunkuade Esq, for Niger Insurance Plc, and Kehinde Aina Esq, for Standard Alliance Insurance. Both were appointed by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) to wind-up the businesses of the two firms. Unfortunately, both have not communicated how they planned to pay valid outstanding, and new claims. When we inquired from the commission what it was doing about the situation, the Deputy Director and Head, Corporate Communications, Rasaq Salami, said the Commission would reach out to affected policyholders through the receiver managers. Meanwhile, both companies have gone to court to stop NAICOM from liquidating them, further complicating things for policyholders. At present, neither the companies, NAICOM, nor its receiver manager, are yet to communicate the next line of action to policyholders, and the public. |
The current share price of University Press (UPL) is NGN 1.63. UPL closed its last trading day (Friday, September 16, 2022) at 1.80 NGN per share on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX). University Press began the year with a share price of 2.94 NGN but has since lost 38.8% off that price valuation, ranking it 153rd on the NGX in terms of year-to-date performance. University Press is the 81st most traded stock on the Nigerian Stock Exchange over the past three months (Jun 20 - Sep 16, 2022). UPL has traded a total volume of 10.2 million shares—in 472 deals—valued at NGN 22.6 million over the period, with an average of 161,544 traded shares per session. A volume high of 1.41 million was achieved on August 19th, and a low of 50 on August 5th, for the same period. I have made a big loss by buying the shares of UPL, and the stock is still going down down down, and now at N1.63. What hope does UPL have for its shareholders? Will this stock ever rebound to N3.00 in the short term? Or should I just sell it off before it hits N0.20? |
yMcy56:Thanks a lot. I do not keep any cash with a stockbroking firm. I always buy to the last cash. It is the shares I have been wondering how to recover it. I do not have the required documents to make the transfer from a dead house. I bought the shares in 2010. 12 years ago. |

2ND NIGER BRIDGE: FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE THEY DECEIVE YOU When Buhari took over government in 2015, he tried to cancel the project under the guise that he wanted to renegotiate the contract, but he found out that cancelling it will cost Nigeria lots of money, as a result of BREACH OF AGREEMENT, because the terms of the agreement signed by GEJ made it impossible for the contract to cancelled at whim. 1. 2nd Niger Bridge is a Public-Private Sector Joint Venture, meaning that majority of the cost will be borne by potential users, mostly IGBOS. 2. Before he left, ex-President Jonathan made available 60 percent of FG’s 30 percent counterpart fund. 3. Anambra and Delta States provided 5 percent EACH, while Julius Berger took care of the remaining 60 per cent. 4. When ready, the bridge will be toll, so that they will all recover their investment. 5. When Buhari took over government in 2015, he tried to cancel the project under the guise that he wanted to renegotiate the contract, but he found out that cancelling it will cost Nigeria lots of money, as a result of BREACH OF AGREEMENT, because the terms of the agreement signed by GEJ made it impossible for the contract to cancelled at whim. So, neither Buhari, nor APC, can take credit for 2nd Niger Bridge, because, they complied with the contract, NOT because they want to see this bridge done, but due to the stringent terms of the signed contract, before they took over government. They have NO VIABLE OPTIONS!! |
