Congratulations bro. This is a huge deal

Why not write PLAB and Japa? Nigeria is not a country that takes healthcare serious so why do you want to play yourself
Booking plab 2 this morning too grin

I can't kill myself, abandoning residency for japa
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 5:27am On Feb 27, 2021
If the lakers fail to repeat. One of the key reasons will be letting Dwight Howard and javale go and replacing him with Gasol grin this dude is outright useless at this stage in his career

Look at curry man, so inspiring
Some people last season said Lillard had more range and was now on the same pedestal shooting wise as steph curry grin

He's a clown some brought up Instagram followers of some random football players even Gabriel Jesus had more followers than Tom Brady.

Because of the international market of the NBA, even NBA players are far more popular and influential than NFL players.
The superbowl final would do a 120 million views but a random Liverpool vs Man utd league game will do 700 million.

So Colin Cowherd had the effrontery to put this up on the internet back in 2018. Lol. Americans really think the world begins and ends with them. If he doesn't know that Ronaldo and Messi should be number 1 and 2 then he should pay more attention to sports outside America. Brady and Rogers are nice guys, but they wouldn't even be in the top 50.

Utah and the Clippers quietly chugging along. Utah can't lose rn.

Are the Mavs the biggest disappointment of the season thus far? They probably are in my books

They choked last season but we shouldn't sleep on these Clippers. Hmm
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 3:38am On Jan 21, 2021
The 76ers were afraid to risk it all to get Harden but I thought it was a mistake.

They left it late to the point when the Nets became desperate.
They are not winning the NBA title with Simmons unless he develops some shooting. Embiid and Harris has clearly stepped up. But Simmons is holding this team back

Kyrie can play shooting guard, why are people acting like he can't play off the ball like he did with LeNomad. I hope he gets his head out of his ass because this team has so much potential
Infact kyrie has never been a great PG, His position as a PG is a misnomer

Is Durant the best scorer in basketball history even above Jordan shocked
This man just came back from an Achilles and is dropping 42 points averaging 30+ on 50/90/40

Giannis this is your conscience speaking, you should have teamed up with doncic grin cheesy

You should have been the infinity stone to doncic's Thanos but you were too scared about what they would say. Shame on you!

Make we leave matter for Matthias, this is a slam dunk win for the Brooklyn Nets.
There is a level of talent that makes chemistry issues less relevant grin

Bruh! Imagine not been able to double team KD or Harden shocked wahala dy oh.

Harden and Cp3 took the warriors to 7 games, imagine what he would do with KD. Chai,
They definitely need to learn to play with each other and also get a serviceable wing + Center but the east is definitely in trouble.

I am kind of happy for the Nets sha, from been the laughingstock of the NBA without draft picks for many seasons to a Juggernaut within 7 years..

shocked Where was this hayward on the Celtics?
chic2pimp:

If Deshaun can fall all the way to no12 after having such a monster game in the National championship, anything is possible. Also looking at it Long term, that might be one of the best things that'll happen to Him career wise. As His draft stock value falls, the chances of Him being drafted into a semi competent organisation increases.

Let's not be too knee jerk about this loss though. I agree they have some holes but they beat this Warriors team just two days ago. This is Steph Curry we are talking about here and he can torch anybody

Don't get my point wrong. We are actually on the same page that you don't necessarily need to have a dominant Facilitator to win the NBA, however you in the absence of a Facilitator you need a system in place.

The big 4 spurs, the Kobe lakers never had a dominant Facilitator but they all had a well coached system whether its a motion offence, a triangle or some hybrid of it.

I brought up the warriors example just buttress the point. One of the underrated features of stever kerrs regime is that the team regularly leads the league in assist. There is so much off the ball action and the ball movement is constant. The clippers would benefit with such coaching instead of Kawhi and PG taking turns to iso in crunch time.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 9:16am On Jan 09, 2021
They lack coaching though. You could see from the second half explosion of the warriors, the ball and player movement. You either have one dominant Facilitator running the offense like a LeBron or cp3 or you have multiple guys taking turns to create for others.

A40:
I think they have enough scoring elsewhere to make up for that. Few teams have as many wings and 4's even stretch 5's that can score. I would try to move Beverley and Lou Williams for some younger points though but who would bite?

They have enough to challenge and win as currently constituted if they play to their best. They had no business blowing the lead again today
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 6:01pm On Jan 05, 2021
grin
CJ, Robert covington, Nurkic, zazh Collins, rodney hood, Gary Trent junior, Carmelo Anthony, Eness Kanter.

Add a superstar to this team and it will have championship goals.

Android17:

While I will not hold any briefs for Coach Kerr as I believe he deserves some stick for certain aspects, will you be honest to say the same pundits who never changed their minds on a team they rated 6th in 2014 don't have an opinion that matters? Notice how eerily quiet they are on Nick Nurse, Brad Stevens and even Steve Nash (he is new etc. But if someone else had that roster they will say he was underperforming with the team). It is one of the reasons I don't buy the "he has to prove himself" rhetorics. Coach Kerr just like Steph, stopped needing to prove anything since 2014-2016.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 6:36am On Jan 04, 2021
The curry critics are quiet today, I wonder what happened.
Curry can not carry a team. A 2 time mvp, one unanimous who lead his team by almost 10 points per game in scoring cannot carry a team grin.

Make we dy fear God sometimes before talking nonsense.

Anyway, anyone can score 62 points of they shoot enough but for me that's not the way basketball should be played. It shouldn't always have to be about the stat but impact

Which kind legacy? Five finals appearances without one single FMVP, is that one legacy? grin

How many finals mvp did Oscar Robertson or Bill Russell win?
Iguodala is a finals mvp winner, he must be greater than steph curry then.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 8:37pm On Dec 28, 2020
Warriors won because of a deep bench where the key players were Barbosa and Livingston averaging 5 points and maresse speights averaging 3.7 points grin grin

Curry lead the warriors in points scored by at least 10points per game in the 2014/2015 playoffs, lead in assist and steals while also averaging 5 rebounds per game.
But winless Cp0 has a greater multiplier and would probably have won with this same team grin

Curry has his flaws, but his legacy is set, he has earned a free pass for the rest of his career in my biased eyes.

Banter is allowed, but outright disrespect to the legacy of LeBron, KD, Kawhi and steph is not welcomed.

Cp0 had an arguably better Clipper squad and didn't smell conference final

Lol. Because he faced a Cavs team that didn't have Love and Kyrie. And then when he lost the next year he went and recruited KD. Lol

Lol. Until Curry has led this team to the finals don't mention him in the same sentence when it comes to carrying a team.
I suppose cp3 has led a team to the final since he has more multiplier effect than curry.

If curry was black skinned and had nigger swag like Lillard would we even be having this discussion

Curry has no multiplier effect on the team shocked
Is it the same curry that upset 57 won Denver and the mighty spurs to 6 games?
The great cp3 that has multiplier effects where did he take lob city to?
Abeg it's just 3 games
birdman:

I think steady986 is talking ala CP3. Curry is a fearsome offensive weapon. But he has no multiplier effect on the rest of the team. We never realized this because having Klay with Curry lets the ball flow freely anyways. I dont think this is a knock on Curry anyhow because Lillard is the same way. And like you said how do you motivate a Wiggins? CP3 would definitely force the issue with Wiggins and Oubre, find them easy buckets and hold them accountable.

Your starting center can't have one rebound and 1 assist. Dwight and Javale were not slandered for this to happen

Thr lakers got everything right in the post season and then mess things up by letting go of Dwight Howard.
Gasol is done
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 1:27am On Dec 11, 2020
According to statistics Harden is a better scorer, Facilitator and better defender than Lillard.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 8:36pm On Dec 10, 2020
ESPN is just trolling people with their rankings. There is no planet where Lillard is ranked ahead of Harden atm.
Give Harden that Portland team and he will at least take it to the conference finals.
We have given Lillard too much leeway for many years for the sake of faux loyalty while he keeps enjoying supermax dollars.
Even Jamal Murray has had more playoffs impact that dame Lillard

Talent wise that Portland team is at worse 4th in the west behind the Lakers, Clippers and Nuggets.
Let's see the usual excuses again at the end of the season.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 12:57pm On Nov 20, 2020
lol finger injury? I thought he broke his forearm, had some complications following surgery and had to have a repeat procedure aquote author[=steady986 post=96244107]Man, Klay can't just get a break. Season ending injury for the second year in a row? Damn. Quick recovery to him.

But on a different note, I'd love to see Steph lead a team without Klay. That thing that he ran away from last season, he must do it this time around grin. Unless he want to fake another season-ending finger injury. Then maybe the Warriors can tank and get another early first round pick next year. I wonder how a finger injury can rule you out for the season angry.

One thing is sure though, you can't cheat the game.[/quote]

Warriors adding Kelly oubre. Mehn! steph, Kelly, Wiggins, draymond and Wiseman, Paschall, Kevon looney, marquies Chriss + a few roster adjustments is still a dangerous squad.
They are definitely not contenders but that's a mixture of vets and young hungry athletic players.
They could be a dangerous lower bracket playoff team that's going to but sand in a top team's garri cheesy In a 7 game playoff series.
Chocking Clippers beware! grin

Its like 80% of the basketball content of espn and fox sports now.
Sports / Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 10:21am On Oct 11, 2020
We need to put more respect on curry's playoffs performances. The guy has had 3 bad games in the NBA playoffs finals out of 5 trips to the finals and suddenly he's a choker.
Iguodala was never finals mvp but the media voters who had this old school bias couldn't wrap their head around the fact that a PG who is relatively small, unathletic, white skinned, jump shot shooting and supposedly soft can be the best players in a championship team.

steady986:

What's the definition of superstar? Is the superstar tag given based on reputation or performance? You can call Giannis a superstar, who couldn't take his team to the finals on two occasions even though they were favourites. But you can't call Jimmy Butler a superstar, someone who took his team to the finals and is busy dropping 40 point triple doubles. Even Steph or Kawhi have never dropped a 40 point triple double in the finals. And don't even get me started about how Steph comes up smaller in the playoffs than the regular season, just like una MVP Giannis. Those are who you call superstars abi?
