CareerRe: Masters Degree Or Work Experience To Work In Nigeria by Etin(f): 11:02pm On Dec 19, 2007
Give both candidates a project related to their industry and get them to write a project plan. This plan should be a current problem and they should come up with a workable solution. This is one way companies in UK select between high profile canadidates. Look at their people skill, and the personality that would fit in with that of the company.

You may want to forget Afrinvest as they have a habbit of not responding to emails. I contacted their London branch just before UBA bought it. An email was sent by Jon in the London office to the head of securities Afrinvest WA its about a month now still no response. Easimoni uses them maybe he can give you a tip on how to reach them as for me wont be going there.

Yes I must agree the feedback on the UBA account is very good. I have got the forms and should be sending them off in a few days. UBA seems a complete package especially with the stockbroking service. Its an obvious one stop solution for me would be going for the full package. Diamond would just be used a backup account.

In Edo (Bini) the child only belongs to a man if he pays the bride price otherwise the child belongs to the girls family

PS: there are several tribes within the Edo group and each culture may be different.

I have been researching on cars to buy and I have found that there is no generally good or bad car brand. Within every good brand there is a below average model and within every so called bad brand there usual a gem. I would suggest that you get the specific model of Kia and read the reviews of experts as well as users. There is also a link above which would also give you a review from a womans point of view as well. Goodluck

I really havent paid attention to the exchange rate because it show in my pound account in pounds. I plan to move it to naira account when the exchange rate is good which means not any time soon. I noticed when loged into my account the exchange rate that day was 249 but on the home page it 246, so I will need to confirm how it works but I havent done that yet.

Hi Etin,

How much does Futureview charge as account opening deposit?
I'm considering of joining them.
500000 naira I was told but please note my dealings with them were as the issuing hose for some shares I wanted to buy. On that level I was very pleased. As far as getting an account with them I do not know if they have online access to the accounts this feature I assume would be very important to anyone outside the country and I havent confirmed that yet.

It seems UBA NRN account would suit you to the teeth as they allow you nominate a relative to operate it for you and its designed for Nigerians abroad. These accounts have been disscussed in details on another thread:

@Man Jiro

Thanks I stumbled unto Diamond Bank's rate and used it. It was bettere than CBN for today and just informed the Brokers what I did. It seem they have accepted it. I paid into their Barclays account over here and emailed a scanned evidence of the payment.

@Obamedo

Thanks you are so right I did realise there where various rates until I asked. I would appear that as long as i can pay pound in a UK Bank it would always be better than Moneygram or Western Union as you save the charges and get about the same rate.
