Your question to me seems like you are looking for someone to tell you you can not do it so you have an excuse to fail. Well if that is not the case and you really need motivation read up on the first computer programmer Ada, Countess of Lovelace (1815 -1853) the limitations of her time did not stop her. In this age and time you definitely have more to support any course you take. I have been in this industry for about 10years and I have seen fantastic female and male programmers and have also seen a lot of crapy ones of both sexes too. Its all about applying your brains in a logical way. |
The results are out very quickly! were all the exams multiply choice questions? I hope it was marked properly. |
Sorry, He's gone. I married him years ago!!! |
People are just people. Some men cheat and some women too. The decision to forgive a partner who does is personal to each person in the relationship. I personally believe there should be more in a relationship to deal with all bumps that comes along including cheating. It should not lead to ending the relationship. I do not know anyone who resolved the pains or anger by moving out or ending the relationship. Maybe its time to take the vows seriously and work at it "for better' (no cheating) "or worse" (with cheating). Finally God never lets anything happen to you that he hasn't provided a solution for or give you the strenght to deal with. |
I would recommend you research the Province you would like to settle in Canada. Canada is very large and each Province is suited to different kinds of people. We relocated to Alberta in Canada last year from London UK. I can tell you the following the pace of life here is slower than England as a result there are lots of Business Opportunities. Things and services we have taken for granted in UK & Nigeria do not yet exsist in Alberta and I see each gap as a business opportunity. Many businesses offer what they can but there is still a huge gap. 1 million naira is about $6000.00CAD. I would say achieving and improving on your cash flow/profit is achieveable the key thing is to do your research. If you plan to relocate doing it before getting married is probably better as you may have to try out various locatios/ Province to get the perfect fit. Canada is very family focused and good for children so planning to have your children here is a good ideal Good Luck |
@Poster If you want to marry a white man do so, but please do NOT insult the whole race of black men to which our Dads and Brothers belong. You don't have to feel guilty for wanting to marry any race and it should not be subject to an online poll. Just make sure he is not a stalker, serial killer or bigamist do your homework WELL. |
Voltrun many good memories. Whenever it started I only had to shout Voltron once and my younger ones came home from wherever they where playing. Do not think I missed any episode! Watched Transformers recently and it reminded me of Voltrun. |
Even by western standards the age gap is too much. I have some questions for you:
[li]What are you going to do when this man wants a child and you cant bear him one?[/li] [li]What happens when you hit menopause in a short while and he is in his prime? [/li] [li]What would you say if your son or younger brother was in this situation dating a woman almost 2 times their age or 24 year older ?[/li] [li]Have you thought of yourself in 11 years time? You would be 60 years old a Pensioner and he would be in the Prime of his career at 34years at this point the receptionist would assume you are his mother! Are you ready for this? [/li]
If you have no problem with any of the above then go ahead. Please note some people who have been arrested for statutory rape have less age gaps then the one mention here. |
they all get intimidated when they see their kind of dream man, no doubt, they can control it.@webdezzi spot on the operative word is "dream man" A very confident and beautiful woman could find herself tongue tied when she meets the man of her dreams. It may not be because the man is handsome but the shock of meeting someone who ticks all the boxes - its just too good to be true its scary. If this happens before you learn to compose yourself, girl you are in big trouble!!!! |
@ Poster, You can buy and sell from China on Ebay. If you are looking to set up a shop in UK then get ready for the taxes and returns that go with it. Check out eSource for wholesale items. Google for Dropshippers. You may not need to invest so much. Wishing you all the best. Whatever you do please research well. Good luck. |
Hi femigirl Your requirement is quite stiff. I would suggest you look into GTB they wont pass on charges but they have Branches every where on your list. Another bank you may want to check is www.standardchartered.com they also meet your location requirement but I have no experience with either except they have both been recommended by their customers. |
@NBA Congrats oh it is a washable event ![]() On a serious note Well Done and I wish you many happy years of marriage and lots of wonderful children (who would enjoy ice sports! too). A wonderful life awaits you in Jesus Name -Amen |
I was quiet excited to hear that they actually would carry out Personal Banking as other Nigeria Banks have just stuck to Cooperate Banking. A big well done to GTB. I visited the website with the intention to move my account from Barclays and LloydsTSB to GTB but found their fees on the high side and wonder how exactly it plans to compete in the UK banking Sector with those charges. http://www.gtbankuk.com/files/Standard_tariff_charges.pdf - 100 pounds fee for a Bank Account? In UK we don't pay for normal Banking charges are for defaults to the Banking Agreement or special facilities - I have never had to pay for Standing Orders to other Banks its free - Replacement Card 50.00 pounds? The History of Bank ATM/ Debit Cards in UK and Internet Banking did not come as a favour to the customer but to the Banks. While in customer Services years ago in a high street bank we had targets to get customers to move from using the Branches (which costed a lot to run) to using ATM and Internet / Telephone banking. The whole idea was that it reduced significantly the overheads. To be charged if my Cards are damaged or lost would be a shock to the culture we have become accustomed to. - Lets assume GTB is targeting Nigerians in UK who want to move money to Nigeria. It would cost me between 20 to 35 pounds to get the funds to a GTB account in Nigeria. I can achieve the same result free with my Diamond Reach Account. How? Internet Transfer to any UK Account is free. Diamond Bank uses CitiBank as its intermediary Bank so it cost me nothing to send funds from any UK Bank Account I own to my Diamond Reach Account in Nigeria. Other Non Resident Nigeria products have laid claims to this market as well. - Can someone please tell GTB to rethink this. I'll love for GTB to have my money rather than any UK Bank. |
@X-2-X I now use Lebara. Fantastic. Thanks again. Have a good holiday. @NBA Long time. Hope you keeping well. |
@YourFather and Ovamboland Thank you for addressing the real issue here. How many times have we heard UK drunk and rowdy football fans where kicked off the plane or the HEn and Stag night team. BA has no respect for Nigeria and its because we havent got a Government that speaks for us. there is a great difference in the BA planes to Nigeria and the one that go anywhere else the difference is like taking a molue and a chartered taxi. If we dont recognise the strenght of our spending power purely based on numbers then we would always thing we are being done a favour and not make demands that we are entitled to do. I recommend we boycott BA flights to Lagos (Nigeria) till the end of this year and see if their profits will not fall. Maybe when they recognise us we can begin to ask for fair treatment and ticket prices. London Lagos route never has a low season ticket or promotion like the other routes. . |
x-2-x and NBA Have a very safe trip and dont forget to visit your Banks so you can tell what they look like and go with little presents to give people you didnt expect to meet. Most important of all eat all the good food (Non GM) you can eat and have a large portion of Ram suya for me. |
@Poster Go to the Bank or stock broker through whom you did the initial purchase and you would find it there. In my own case it came to GTB where I paid for the shares. My certificate came by post to the address on the application. Hope this helps. all the best |
Congratulations. If ever it seems like you are having a hard day at work ; Remember he that has blessed you with this job, would also see you through. I look forward to hearing of your promotion on the job. He is faithful that promised. May this blessing God has given you completely enrich your life and add no sorrow. Amen |
Desmond O:Desmond do you work with PICOL? or are you a customer ? How would you rate them. |
@NBA, ManJiro, et al Finally got my Diamond Reach ATM Card PIN. Also finally opened an NRN with UBA. Frankly I wasnt impressed I had to keep sending emails to find out if the account had been openned and finally called Nigeria a week after before an email was sent to me with the account details. I am burnt out I really dont have the strenght to run the account now. tired Etin |
@NBA When I come up with a good way to use your dollar cheque book in Nigeria, I 'll gladly let you know. How is your friend Obama. I have not really paid any attention so was pleasantly suprised to findout he was so eloquent - thank to your link. I really wonder if he can win? Back to Diamond. Have you got your PIN for your debit card? I was told I would get it on Friday the 14th of March 2008 still waiting |
@ NBA et al Happy Easter. For those of us in UK, you may want to try Safari Talk its a £5.00 card that sells for £2.50 and you get 55 minutes upwards on each card depending on the network you are calling. @X-2-X Thanks for the information on Lebara sim. I will find it very handy for making private calls to Nigeria while at work. It a lot better than using a card with the office landline. Regarding the Diamond Reach Account, eniyanman has answered your question perfectly. @eniyanman The cheque book I received was not denominated in Naira (which I found rather strange).I felt the same way too. In fact I actually requested one and was told they would look into it. I later realised that the naira account was a savings account which traditionally does not have a cheque book. I must say a naira cheque book is more useful to me than the foreign currency one. |
X-2-X:No, I have a Diamond Reach Account (Non Resident Bank Account in Nigeria) to which I have arranged for such things to be paid. I would just have to wait and see how that works. I have not had any payments yet. |
uknig18:@ uknig18 The answer to your question is 'Yes' I have used my UK address and UK mobile for Citi Invest as well as CSCS Trade alert. Hope this helps. |
When things are priced low to undercut the market in Nigeria people assume you have fake goods. You cant win can you? |
@ All http://stockmarketnigeria.com/ The above link may answer questions on your stocks. Check by Sector and specific company. |
@NBA. Manjiro, Tosjay et al Picked up my Diamond Reach Debit card today from my DHL. The card was dropped on monday. Happy Banking. On a lighter note. My application for an NRN UBA account sent by signed for post on the 28/12/2007 finally arrived there today - 07/03/2007 ![]() |
