Hmmm, I really don't like cheaters, however, after listening to this "lady" go on and on in her ugly way of talking I am not surprised that her husband went somewhere else to be with another woman.
That was embarrassing and uncalled for . lipsrsealed

Family / Re: How True Could It Be? by europegirl(f): 3:21am On Jul 31, 2009
@ poster

This really depends on the person and the personality you have yourself, how much time you want to invest and on your partner, There are many individuals from broken homes that went into lasting marriages. It doesn't just depend on you but also on your partner. It takes two people to make a marriage work not just one.
With this said, you could try as hard as you can and give it all you got but if your partner is not willing to do the same then all your energy you put into keeping it togeher will be wasted unfortunately.

Family / Re: White Girl, Pregnant To Married Nigerian Man by europegirl(f): 9:16pm On Jul 22, 2009
Oh dear,

@ Gemmie

I don't really know what to say. Love can make you blind. I am sure you felt that he was the one. Unfortunately, you got pregnant before marrying. I understand it is a very common thing these days. I am glad you will be able to take care of you and the baby. Thank goodness you had your education.
However, I see your problem. What will you tell the baby later who his father is. I think it is unfair to ignore that his biological father is Nigerian. I feel it is completely unfair for the baby not having a chance to know his real dad. On the other side , however, if the father wants nothing to do with the baby then you can;'t make him.
I'm so sorry this happened to you it's a burden for sure but also a blessing in disguise as you will have a child.
I wish you all the best and please be strong and take care,

Culture / Re: Is It Rude To Speak Your Language Openly In Public? by europegirl(f): 2:04am On Jul 20, 2009
I find this thread so funny. Everything you guys have said is so true. I really laughed at borrowing the English music but reporting it when Nigerian music is played.
It is true though Nigerians are very loud but it's probably cause your so happy all the time! wink
Personally, it is an issue when others are speaking a language apart from what you know yourself and they are laughing and carrying on with it, that a person might think they are being talked about. However, I love using my language whenever I don't want anybody around knowing what I'm talking about . But when in a group and some don't speak the language then I make sure to use the language everyone speaks or I translate if accidentally something is said someone does not understand.

@ RichyBlacK & Nikkysgirl

Thank you for your positive remarks for the woman

I can't stand all this negativity! Some make negative comments because they can't stand an American Woman maybe hooking up with one of their "own". Others are just teasing, some are jealous wishing they had something like that, and others are scared of what they do not know.
Of course she needs to be careful but the best things in life often are very unplanned and different from what is considered normal and safe! Life is an adventure and should be lived to the fullest.
Do you even know how many people these days meet online and get married and have wonderful marriages?!
@ Nikkysgirl thank you for sharing and I also know how much time is spend on the phone, computer etc. People will do and endure crazy things when they are in love. This goes for both women and MEN!!!!

I wish the poster all the best of luck and happiness in the world and hope that I will be there soon with you. I have till November until I can be united with my love and I am counting the month, days, minutes, seconds!!!!!!

Family / Re: Kind of Husband or Wife You Aspire to Have? by europegirl(f): 3:56pm On Apr 20, 2009
Well, I would like a man who is a natural leader. Someone that will be head of the family and does that with ease. A man that has goals and dreams that I could support him in. A man that is not afraid to support me in my dreams as well. Someone I can have a conversation with about anything, fool around, laugh and have fun with. A man that understands I love children and animals and like to help anything in need. One that will enable me to take care of him and lets me be crazy about him.
Family / Re: Need Advice On Nigerian Culture/attitude To Family by europegirl(f): 3:41pm On Apr 20, 2009
@ poster

Please do not assist him with his immigration. He is not even trying to be a father but is actually making things harder for you.
I'm very sorry you have to go through his but please be strong for yourself and the baby. She does not need a father around that things so negatively and is not even trying to be involved in the little ones life!
Computers / Computer Question by europegirl(f): 3:34pm On Apr 20, 2009
I have this discussion with someone and I'm not really sure about computers so I'm asking you guys. This is gonna sound ridiculous but,
Ok if you are offline meaning not on the internet can you still get the sound that says "You have mail"? Like a couple of times in a row. And what about a buzzer sound?
I'm pretty sure one would have to be connected to the internet right? Or can those sounds be stored somewhere on your computer without being on line?
Thanks.
Culture / Re: American Woman Married To Nigerian Man: Help! by europegirl(f): 4:32pm On Apr 18, 2009
@ kayusa

Please don't generalize foreign women. Yes some do not know what the concept of marriage entails but there are many that do.
It is so very sad that many marriages fail because people think it is easier to just divorce then to work things out. Marriage should be only done once but unfortunately often it is not.
I do agree there should not be a marriage if it is not truly believed that it can be sustained. So if this woman only wants to marry because a child is involved it would be very wrong to marry.
Culture / Re: Men Must Stay Out Of Women's Matters! by europegirl(f): 4:28pm On Apr 18, 2009
Actually, it is a fact that men in the medical field tend to be much softer and caring with women patients then a female doctor would be.
I think this has to do with the fact that they do not know how painful childbirth for example could be.
