The Nigerian President Badluck Jonathan has given up on his troops and now calls for US troops to fight Boko haram. No matter how hard a man can play, Boko Haram will force you to scream out for help from neighbours even to houses which are miles away from yours.

Thats the dvmbest propaganda i've ever read!.my president would never announce such nonsense in the media.
the whole world watched his public address, and there wasnt a point where he claimed to be "begging" the US to deploy force on ground against boko haram.

Just like China is owning you, they have a veto to decide who are you trading arms with.
Lol.you spout horrifying gargons.china is searching for allies on the african continent, they wouldnt risk alienation.they want to tap into africa's resources, they want to project soft-power into africa.Nigeria is the only country that fits their goal, and likewise,China is also the only super power that we can make use of in our quest for radical industrialization and geopolitical dominance.Already, nigeria is china's biggest trading partner south of the pacific/atlantic.they sold 10 CH-3 wardones to us,a transaction that would never have even fostered with the US.China helped us build warships and other coastal guard/patrol ships.of course we arent friends,in politics, there is no such thing as friends.we are simply 'mutual benefactors'.they open their market to us,give us their technology and we open our resources to them, allow them project soft power.
no one is owning anything.

Nigeria is a two party state. Fact!!! All others are dead.
hahahahahahahaha....you talk as if you know what you are saying.
APGA alone controls over half of the states in south east nigeria, with many heavyweight senators and parliamentarians at their beck and call.yet they still arent as powerful as PDP or APC.
Labour party{LP} controls a few states in the south west and middle east, along with senatorial and parliamentary seats in both house of senates and house of representatives respectively. Its the fourth strongest party in nigeria.
AP{Accord Party} holds powerful sway in south west nigeria.with enough grassroot power to rival that of PDP.
SDP,popularly known as the 'stallion party' because of its stallion sigil or 'youth party' because of its ideals of putting only youths in power.this party is very popular in southern nigeria,it controls quite a number of parliamentary seats at both state and federal levels.
.
.
these parties are neither APC nor PDP.
clown indeed.

You only need your Malema version to transform the politics of Nigeria to a multiparty democracy.
hahahahahaha.....ignorant mumu,nigeria is already a multiparty democracy!,we have:
the ruling party,PDP{People's Democratic Party}
the main opposition party,APC{All Progressive Congress}
and other political parties like SDP{Social Democratic Party},APGA{All Progressive Grand Alliance},AP{Accord Party} etc...
do you want to compare our highly competitive democratic system with that your ANC dominated monarchy you call a democracy?

SA has always been doing everything in their power to downgrade and denigrate our gigantic economy for fear of losing its purported "super power" status on the continent....they are always provoking diplomatic face~offs between us.but in spite of it all,we are growing and they are sinking.
who knows whether they are the foreign power helping boko haram with weapons, funds and strategy.jealousy is a very dangerous emotion.

The questions that Nigerians should be asking themselves is how will Nigeria cope with OVERPOPULATION AND DRIED OUT OIL AND GAS RESERVES... cheesy grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
what of the newly discovered oil fields in lake chad basin, lagos{aje oil field},ondo, enugu and akwa ibom?,the truth is that,we have barely scratched the potential surface of our crude and mineral resources reserves.perhaps, the reserves we currently have may diminish in the next 30 years, but what of the newly discovered ones?,what of the ones that we are yet to discover?.even then,by 2020,nigeria will be a fully diversified economy, with an heavyweight industry to rival japan.we are already a net exporter of cement, cocoa and sugar.we will begin massive exportation of rice next year.by 2020,we will commence exportation of automobile vehicles

Chief!! your power grid is 4000 MW and you are fortunately used to load shedding. You can't keep power for 24 hrs a day.

SA is not used to even spending an hour without electricity, that's why when eskom takes power for merely 4hours it makes world news headlines.
there are already cases of uninterrupted power supply in abuja.some villages and towns in the FCT recently celebrated a year of uninterrupted power suppy.so what are you saying?

"To get where South Africa is" could never mean 160 000 MW.
but he was talking about generating 160 000MW with $3.2trillion,or cant you read?

You can't consume that which you don't have. You generate approximately 4000 MW.

He said to get where South Africa is, you need $3.2trillion. You can't surpass South Africa's level if you can't get where it is.

Exactly! So, Nigeria will never get that kind of money for power.
to get to where SA is?,by the way,where is SA?,you are generating barely 40 000MW of power,our minister was mentioning 160 000MW of power!,so do the mathematics,hasnt that surpassed you?,is 40 000MW bigger than 160 000MW?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:53am On Feb 13, 2015
DieVluit:
$3.2 trillion you have accepted you can't get.

$3.2 trillion which shows how big the INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT is.

$3.2 trillion for power alone. Exactly! Meaning that once you add other things, the amount is even higher.

You are up shyte's creek without a paddle, mate.
you think that we can consume 160 000MW as at now?,even SA that has a bigger industry, operates below 50 000MW.that 160 000MW figure was a future projection,to augment our surging economy and population.

"Impossible....to get where South Africa is, you need..... where will you get that kind of money"

Your own official. So who are you?

You don't have the money, my man. You have too many mouths to feed; and you always will.
he didnt say that its impossible to reach 'SA level',he said that "to reach SA's level we need funds,to surpass SA's level and generate 160 000MW,we need $3.2trillion".you dont have that kind of money, the world bank doesnt, even the US doesnt.

Growing infrastructure? Every country in the world has a growing infrastructure. It is your INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT that is the issue. And the fact that you don't even have the money to get to South Africa's level says it all.

Your "big" GDP is not enough bra. And that is the only point.
our GDP is $510billion,but we need $3.2trillion for our power alone, that shows how sophisticated our outreach is.we dont deal with paltry funds,we cut in trillions of dollars.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:41am On Feb 13, 2015
DieVluit:
Just one picture bra.

And then just one quote:

The current capacity is 4,500 megawatts.
“The cost of providing electricity per megawatt on average is $2billion. To get to where South Africa is, you will need about $3.2trillion (about N672trillion). Where will you find that kind of money?” he asked.

And your GDP is already pegged at higher that South Africa's, but you don't have enough money to get where we are.
does even the world bank have $3.2trillion to lend us?,have your country even smelt a whooping $3.2trillion in your existence?.he said, for us to generate 160 000MW of power,we need $3.2trillion,an amount which no country on earth can spend at one go.

By the way, Evarn, we know that you are Lezz. Stop talking to yourself or about yourself.
we are growing our infrastructure to meet future demands,we currently have over 30 local airports and 5 international airports,we have a 3400km standard and double-guage railway,we have a 120km monorail,we have 60 000km tarred surface roads in nigeria,we have free trade zones, industrial complexes, national and international trade centres in abuja,we will a 40 000MW generation capacity by 2020 when all the numerous power plants come on stream.all these massive infrastruction are barely used by nigerian yet, they are infrastructures for a teeming population.

That, my friend, is the story of Nigeria and its GDP.

if i were the nigerian president,i would have encourage population growth, even set policies in place to fatten the population at a swifter rate.there is great power in a big population.

wow!,you must have consulted sangomas to pull out this analysis once again.even your most vaunted source, the world bank, has made a projection that nigeria will be in top 10 economies by 2050,with south africa nowhere to be found.we are growing our infrastructure and middle class at a surging rate....remember,china is the number 1 economic power on earth, yet it is the country with the highest number of poor people in the world.like lezz said, you are a renown wizard.how do you do,oh great sangomas?!

i have a suggestion to make;i think we should set up a system to monitor the ongoing 6 weeks dislodgement battle against boko haram.this thread is growing rather stale and boring, methink discussions about african military capabilities have been exhausted.perhaps we can breathe a semblance of attraction back into it by shifting our attention to the ongoing military and political actions boko haram.
