false 'unconfirmed' media reports are hardly a reputable source of proof.
how can the SA defense minister brand the soldiers and military advisers they willing sent to nigeria,as traitors?
how is it possible for him to refer to them as 'mercenaries' and order their immediate arrest should they ever return?
if SA were 'helping' us,they'd have ran to the media to publicize and sugar-coat it,as if they have just sent legions of special forces into nigeria.
your government wouldnt disrespected and denigrated the troops they willingly sent here by calling them 'mercenaries'.

if you meet them on a battle field, all you need to do in disarming them is just to pull out your c0ck,and they'd throw away their weapons and suck you dry.

Wow!!! Nigeria is a permanent candle lighting nation. At least, South Africans can only use it for three hours, once a week and sometimes not.
....a grandiose achievement indeed.
i must assure you that your unfounded opinions are clinically displaced.in nigeria, when power goes off, everyone has a standby power generator to dispel the darkness.but in SA,your only options are candles and oil lamps.

It'll be interesting to see Russia go head to head with US. But for Cuba, it'll be a hard choice to make cos Putin is really watching her on 3D. Besides, it'll be a choice of which and which will be more favourable? And who's to tie with?
Thanks for all those analysis.....
There will eventually be a confrontation between them if the US continues its attempt to surround Russia with NATO allies.that is what is fueling the war in ukraine now;ukraine wants to be a NATO nation, but russia is against such a decision due to ukraine's close proximity with russia....allowing ukraine to be a NATO nation means compromising the russian military activities which will eventually constrain putin's drive to annex all the weaker eastern-europe nations and reawaken the fallen soviet union.
if putin doesnt intervene in cuba very soon,i fear that the US will achieve its uthmost aim.already, cuba is likely to consider the US more favourable, due to america's power to lift cuba's sanctions.

But too bad for them (Russia). Just of recent Obama paid visit to Cuba for some check-ons. And we all know US is cunning, isn't it?

If they can't get something from u, they don't offer.
everyone hails vladimir putin as wise and cunning, but putin is making a blunder by trying to defeat the west alone.
obama may eventually agree to lift the sanctions on cuba, and then coarse cuba into allowing the US to set up a military base under the dubious auspice of regional alliance and joint military exercise.of course, cuba will have no choice but to accept US conditions.
but we all know that america is preparing for a cold war against russia, and the US needs cuba to serve as a spy gateway through which sensitive intel on russia's military movements will be coalated and disseminated.
during the last cold war, russia made use of cuba as a base from whence they spied on US military engagements and later launched aerial demonstrations.the US is now trying to hijack that advantage.

There can be order Bro. The only thing that's killing human race is feeling superior over one another. Imagine a world where every nations respects each other irrespective of one nations power and deficiencies? War will not even exist.
it is simply in the human nature to compete for power, resources and environmental domination.
without war, their will be unending chaos.one entity will retain too much power, this is unacceptable.
humans respect violence, there can never be lasting peace without brutal war.

And US has been doing that just fine. When it comes to alliances, US is everywhere unlike Russia that can't even dominate the northern Europe.
I quite agree with u!
exactly!
no matter how powerful a nation is,it still need allies, ties and partners.for example,in the case of north korea, the US can easily invade NK by galvanizing it forces through its military base in south korea.from its south korea military base, the US monitors{spies on} activities in china, north korea and japan, easily gathering sensitive intel that could be used in dismantling individual defenses.
the US has a military base in mali, therefore they could easily invade algeria, libya, niger, nigeria, morocco etc...
russia needs to begin fostering diplomatic ties with strategic nations all over the globe.russia must never allow the US to set up base in cuba or ukraine.

It is eminent. Russia is really pushing USA and USA will soon wants to prove their superiority against Russia. And I can bet u, dats what Russian federation has been preparing for.
as much as it pains me to admit, russia cannot currently defeat the US,neither can the US completely dismantle russia.but if a war were to break between both of them;russia will lose a great deal, while the US loses almost nothing.russia needs time to form necessary alliances, military ties and weapon technology needed to sustain a conventional battle with the US.

(some of the major Biro contenders)

Pic 1: Damen OPV2400
Pic 2: Navantia Avante 1400
Pic 3: Lurssen Patrol Vessel PV 80
Pic 4: The glorius Gowind OPV

IMO the Gowind is the strongest contender, having signed an MOU with Paramount for domestic production, the versatility of the hull type (allowing it to be upgraded for use in low intensity conventional littoral combat due to the design including VLS tubes and modular upgrade kits for SSM's) and its fantistic "flex-deck" ability that allows the rapid conversion of the hanger and landing deck into a hospital, environmental disaster containment unit or extended barracks for SF by using containerized modules. Not to mention the inclusion of UUV's for mine-clearance.

Magnificent.

We have chosen the slow and steady path so that we can drop our Budget balance % of GDP and controll inflation

You have decades of development ahead of you until you can come even close to us.

And you have to grow your GDP by 60% to have the same GDP PPP as South Africa

No sweat here.
you didnt choose a 'slow and steady path' my friend, you chose the stagnation and sectarian violence path.
we are already growing our economy by 6%,by 2020 when we have 40 000MW of power,we'd be growing by 10% or 11%,with a huge industry that would make japan whimper in fear.
where will that leave you;a stagnant country flexing fat instead of muscles.

How will you if you lose 70% of your tax-base?

Since you are a simpleton, let me explain again: Your government loses 70% of its spendable money
lol.since you are a difficulton, let me explain again: our government doesnt rely on oil money as much as the whole world believe.
recenly, oil fell below $50{though it has risen back to about $62,and is still rising},but the impact only affected the naira/dollar exchange, which brought about slight devaluation in the naira,in face of scarce dollar.it is true that we cut our budget by over 900billion,but that was due to more budget load and recurrent expenditure.
so far,the drop in oil prices has barely dented our armour;inflation is very low, growth by 6%,steady rise in exports, increase in productivity and manufacturing capabilities etc....

With regards to your "economy".Its big but ineffective - poorly taxed, unstable and based on highly volatile oil
We remain the top destination for foreign investment (infact, we are 16th in the world)
Furthermore, with regards to your over-reliance on oil is it not true that your government just had to devalue the Naira and cut budgets? Did you not just raise interest rates to a record 13%? Has your Excess Crude Account not depleted to $3-billion from $21-billion in 2008?
our ECA wasnt 'depleted',it was shared among the 36 states{+ the FCT}.the opposition{APC} governors called for the equal sharing of the ECA amongst all states of the republic, they won their case, and everyone got a share.a few months later, the oil market collapsed.
but even with the fall of oil,we are growing at 5.5%,while you are barely growing at all.
cheers!.

@carefreewannabe
i will endeavor to broaden my convictions:
1.according to my definition of empire, many different countries can be under the direct influence of one country{just like the ancient roman empire}.as in the case of the US,and its 'allies',therefore i simply dubbed it the euro-american empire.
2.i am indeed resting most of the blame of islamic extremism on the US.poverty, religious intolerance and other criterias you mentioned are not defining factors.
3.apart from the gay movement, other western ideologies include: capitalist democracy, dollarization of global trade currency, conscription of all sovereign nations to the UN,forceful push against death sentences and other percieved 'human right violations' etc...
4.the US 'governs' the world
(i)by using its veto, and that of its allies{UK,France,Germany} to tip the balance of global geopolitical dominance.
(ii)forming binding alliances{like NATO},military ties and regional allies to garner influence and spread soft power all over the world.

carefreewannabe:
Define the term "empire".
an empire is a group of countries, states and organisations controlled by one government.
this is a fitting definition for the US led "western world",cemented through a combined 'NATO' army.we live in a world governed by western ideologies, that is why we need to ask ourselves, what brought about ISIS?,what is the cause for islamic extremism?,are they just murderous megalomaniacs or are they simply struggling against the yoke of western imperialism and forced ideology?.this new world, where the west seeks to spread its influence by forcefully introducing alien ideologies into secular races and religions has caused huge damages.ironically, the west's next greatest challenge{adversary} will emerge from the muslim world.the war against terrorism is an ideo-religious battle.that aside.
when i said we live in the euro-american 'empire',what i meant is that we are in a world governed by the west, through military and ideology.

We are still the only Black superpower in Africa
Having a big economy means nothing if you cannot do anything with it. And it means even less if it is based on a highly volatile commodity like oil.
Stay Pleb, Plebs.
lol,you better dont let lezz hear{see} you saying{typing} this, you'd be washed, bleached and dry cleaned.
africa has no "superpower",there are only:
big countries like nigeria{and perhaps egypt}.
struggling countries like south africa, kenya, namibia, ethiopia etc
and small countries like lesotho, zimbabwe, togo, ghana etc....
Having the biggest economy is the best criteria to guage a burgeoning superpower{china has the biggest but not the most sophisticated, but eh..who cares?},Nigeria is growing at 5.79% in 2015,and an average of 7% in a good year.even despite fallen oil prices,we still remain the biggest, fastest growing and most attractive economy on the continent.that tells you that our supposed overreliance on crude oil was an exaggerated fluke.

Still saying Nigeria is number one after I spent days showing that Nigeria is inferior to South Africa in every conceivable criterion a nation is judged on?
You may have Africa's biggest economy - but that doesnt count for sh1t when you cannot tax it properly, South Africa has 3X the revenue you do.We can outspend you any day of the week. And now consider the fact that your infastructure is decades behind ours - and we are currently investing over $100 Billion in more
You guys will never catch us, we are the most developed, advanced and wealthyest, our people live longer, are happyer, are more free, more democratic, healthyer, better educated, have access to clean sanitation and electricity, free education, government support (the only African nation with a functioning welfare system) etc etc etc Nigeria is a joke and allways will be.
all are delicate frivolities that is shattering apart due to inordinate political tension and bad governance.

vladimir putin
a man percieved to be a ferocious leader,ex-KGB,and grand chess-master.but is he really that cunning?.putin is pushing into ukraine, albeit indirectly through the hands of disgruntled rebels, but isnt it such a dangerous tete~a~tete.yes,i must applaud him on his efforts so far,he has made sure that ukraine will never be united again.
but is it prudent to force NATO's hand?,russia has no defense allies{since the warsaw pact was dismantled}.the 'west' are a wicked and devious world leader,we live under the supreme authority of the euro~american empire, and they will never allow russia to reassemble a new soviet that will threaten the world order.
perhaps, russia's reasons for 'aiding' ukraine's subjugation are justified, given NATO's quest to surround russia with its allies.but you can never fight such a powerful opponent alone.russia needs allies,i mean a real alliance similar to the NATO treaty.
