It's a pity some people are having a bad experience with Dr F.
I has a wonderful time with him and would gladly use him again. Once u met a doctor for d first time and something does not click or ur not comfortable then u need to change d doctor. Work with ur intuition.
One person or d other has had a funny experience with almost every doctor here does not make any one of them bad. Pick ur own, use ur intuition and trust God for d best.

mismarshal:
My baby boy arrived on the 17th of June at 34 weeks. He waited till we 'crossed over' before making his early appearance as I got into the US 8 days earlier.

Had my baby in Oakbend with Dr Dama Ziwortin.... Had to have a C-section as my baby was in a transverse position. It was the best experience of my life as I felt no pains at all during delivery... Before (even though I was in active labour and contracting), during (thanks to the epidural... I guess) and after the surgery (definitely God's grace). I was placed on pain medication afterwards but I didn't need them as I was in no pain whatsoever. This is God's grace and mercy solely because at many points I almost lost this baby but God's mercies kept him.

After experiencing a miscarriage last year for no understandable reason I felt empty and prayed earnestly for God's help and he came through mightily for me. I am so humbled by the whole process of having a baby. I has taught me to trust God more especially as an independent and supposedly strong woman. It is truly not by power nor by might.

I was discharged after two days but my baby was taken to NICU.... Where they kept him for 12 days. I practically had to beg them to discharge my son as they said he had to gain some weight before they let him go. So they were only feeding and changing his diapers.... I could have done that from home. They slammed me with a bill of $7,900 afterwards which was later discounted to $5095 if we paid fully within a week.

My advise is alway be prepared for unseen situations. I planned to spend $6900 for a normal delivery but I ended up spending $13,500.

Baby is healthy, Mummy is health that's the testimony of supernatural childbirth for me! As a FTM I'm blessed to have experienced this.

Thanks to all the peeps that keep this thread alive. I learnt so much by just reading. God bless you loads.
Congrats mama. May God keep ur lo n you safe n sound.

Thanks, I applied for form A from UBA. Was told medical has been stopped for now. I didn't really believe cos I don't trust them again since I didn't get pta from them before I travelled.
Its well hopefully I will get this form A eventually. God help nigeria.

If the price you quote is within the bid win rate for that day,you application will pull thru. If not,you have to bid again the next day. Just the way treasury bills works. My dear its well, my opinion is every daughter of God should have full .
After 4 yrs of marriage n 2 nasty miscarriages, I got pregnant, every night I would pray speak to my baby, talk to my body to have vaginal delivery.
Along d line came gestational diabetes. I kept on with my prayers infact I increased it cos satan no dey tire.

Fastforward to my delivery. As the induction was stopped that baby was not responding well and doc said its cs I didn't argue I said o ya. Cos I believed with my many prayers if its gong this way then its Gods will n plan and he's still in charge. So I started praying immediately that all goes well. Doc prayed with me b4 d surgery n my faith was further strengthen.
Today I have my beautiful chubby baby girl so God is good. VD or Cs he gave me my baby so he knows best just commit the journey into his hands and trust ur God, ur heart n ur doc.

My sister what am about to say will offend alot of people so let me start by apologizing in advance.

However I hope we will be wise enough to open our hearts and eyes and ears and learn.

Our biggest problem in this part of Africa is
A) culture
B) Religion

We are raised as religious people and u often hear statements like : God forbid! I am Christ like and by his grace will deliver like the hebrew woman!
The faith we (especially pentecostals) profess is alittle unreasonable sometimes. How can someone have headache and not take drugs or be sick and say "im strong in Jesus name" when they are obviously in need of help?

Wasnt it Jesus that gave the doctors their knowledge? Isnt it by Gods grace that science has gotten where it is? Forget that some scientists dnt bliv in God but we all know that the mystery of existence is the grace of God and healing is all part of that grace.

Culturally also, women look down on other women who have had C-sections. They see them as inferior and unable to bear pain. But guess what: THERE ARE DIVERSE REASONS FOR CSECTION and pain is the least reason.

Some women are created with small uterus, others get gestational diabetes, some babies are breech, some have a cord prolapse (cord around their neck where pushing may strangle the baby), some are ivf babies (and if u hav spent that mch on ivf you dont wana b sili and risk birthing vaginally unless d babies pop out on their own before ur scheduled date) and many more reaons.

Why make a woman feel inadequate for smth she has no control over? Y subject the miracles of pregnancy and child birth to earthly condemnationhuh

Oyinbo pipul have sooo accepted CS that they even walk into the OR begging for a section.

We claim to have come into the 21st century, but still have myopic views forced on us by our African heritage.

My sisters if u can birth naturally please do, but if for any reason a life ia dependent on a section, please choose life... Not myth!

#lifenotmyth!

Congrats mama, God is faithful. He has helped u this far, he will yet help u more. Much prayers

Fast forward I had my babies (twin girls) to the glory of God but they are in NICU doing great. The first doesn't need oxygen while the second one just need a little to get better. So far so good they are doing well but am soooooo scared of how much they would collect for NICU for 2 babies&they said they might be there for 3-4Qaeda more weeks but in my mind am praying that they do soooo well and let us go on time. Am still in the hospital&as a FTM it's has been God's grace o. C.S it's not a joke but I must say they nurses here are very nice and warm. Been able to walk round the hospital ward and might be discharged in 2-3 days time but would be checking on the babies time to time
Already they have started talking about medic-aid for the NICU which I have totally declined,I told theme no way.The medic aid lady told me,the bill might be easier pensive that I should take medic aid for NICU while I pay my bills and Dr fees. I said lialia ooooo. We are still on it sha but God has been faithful
Any advice from mamas in the house,God bless u all[/quote]

Hello mamac and papas finally my little angle has arrived I want to thank each and everyone of you that has contributed to this forum. my story. Work up early hours of the 23rd of May to peeonly to find out I was peeing blood, told my mum and she said it was time to go to the hospital.

On getting there I was checked in. Baby and mother where both doing well but mother was not not dilated. I was still 2cm after 24hours my doctor had to out me on meds to help with the dilating. So my mum and I started to pary finally I was 4cm but the meds was not good for the baby as his heart rate was droping drestically. Do y doctor said we would have to do a CS my face dropped was unhappy about this as I had budgeted for VD. Mind you baby was still at risk we both where.

Finally my mum told me it's the will of God. To cut the story short my baby came yesterday he weighed 6.25 pound and is very healthy. Mother is still under recovery. I just want to thank God for my life and that of my baby because we where both at full risk.

My only worry is this bill but am sure God will do it again for me. Help me thank God everyone.

Dearie, I would say relax first. Thank God baby is alive and in good hands. I no d current dollar matter but d babys life ft irst then d dollars.
Had my baby last wk, cs & baby was full termed, big but later found out she had low sugar cos I was gestational diabetes. Baby was taken to Nicu. Day 1 & 2 I kept hearing she's not eating well (formula) so d sugar has not stabilize. As at this time no breast milk yet but I was using pump to stimulate (FTM). So I kept praying. By day 3 I asked them if I can be doing d feeding my self they say yes. I got colostrum that day took it there n fed mmy baby. I started going there every feeding time 3 hourly. Express breast milk, feed my baby myself in d midst of prayers o. U must eat, am ur mother, this is my milk, am a good eater, ur father eats well, were u wan learn am from not to eat etc. She ate, surpass their limits 4 her sometimes and d sugar test figures kept rising. I tire but I no gree cos no sleep since I had to go also in d night. All d nicu nurses were just amazed. I laugh, pikin wey I wait yrs for unna no no d power of a determined mother.
She spent total of 4 days & on d 5th day was discharged!
We are home & doing fine. I have also not seen nicu bill but I've pushed it behind to enjoy my vigils of motherhood. When it comes, God pass am!
So leave money matter and be strong for ur child n by Gods mercies she will come out well n fast from there! Am joining u in prayers. Much love n hugs dear.

I don't know about ur conclusion. I had gestational diabetes, at 38 weeks my baby was already big so he advised I be induced to have d baby vaginally cos I couldnt afford to wait for natural n labour. In my case, my baby didn't react well to the process hence the CS. I no I got the right call. If ur not comfortable or having doubts I think u should change ur doctor or wait when u meet him, check ur intuition and act.

Finally, corresponded with dr F and settled for him. Travelled last month 12th, with edd for 19th may at 33 wks ga. 1st 2'antenatal visits with one of dr f other doctors cos he travelled. Was good & uneventful. 3rd visit with dr himself then he's like our scan shows edd for june 10th. Am like not possible o! So he sends me 4 a more detailed scan & monitoring at oakbend.
After results. Makes decision to induce me that baby is already big n good to come out especially with the diabetes.
So am back to hospital on sunday night, inducing starts & progress well but baby is reacting badly to d whole process. Doctor stops and opts for cs.
Next morning cs, baby is out and no crying. Am scared lying there I just started praying. God bless all d medical staffs cos abt 2 or 3 mins looked liked forever untill I heard her cries! Am like abeg make unna pinch her well well make she cryyyyyy.

God is good. Still in d hospital, cos am recoperating and baby needs to be monitored well since I had diabetes.
Don't know what my bills will look like cos I had plenty extras here n there so am waiting.
But I thank God for d doctor, his staffs and d oakbend pple cos I have my 8 ibs 4 ozs beautiful daughter alive with me.
Join me thank God, & pray for plenty money cos I need am! Lol

Hello house,
My testimonies plenty.
1) my mum got her visa on monday at abuja, she went with her burden of proofs but itb was not checked. Just 2 questions ( were are u going and why). White paper given to her and Vo is typing, my mama refused to go feeling like d woman never check her plenty papers na security man come explain say no need, u've been given visa!

2) had my beautiful big baby girl same day by 7; 42am at Oakbend by dr F.
After 4yrs of marriage, 2 nasty 1st & 2nd trimester miscarriages. This miracle came. At abt 4 months was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, put on insulin 3 times daily and considered high risk pregnancy. This discouraged me greatly I almost left d American dream, plus had some doctors I originally wanted to use in america who turned me down cos I was on insulin.
