The Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, on Sunday said his disagreement with President Goodluck Jonathan was fueled in part by the President’s wife, Dame Patience Jonathan.

He said this after the premiere of a documentary on Amaechi years at the Silver Bird Galleria, Abuja.

According to him, the President and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party would have taken him to the cleaners, if they had anything incriminating against him.

Amaechi said, “We had a disagreement in principle between me and the President. Have you seen a country where the Commissioner of Police is reporting to the wife of the President? It’s in Rivers State.

“Have you seen a country where the Brigade Commander or the Navy Commander or Air Force Commander is reporting to the wife of the President? It’s in Rivers State.”

He explained that he was convinced that such conduct would not help in the development of any nation, saying he took a stand against it.

Amaechi stressed that Nigeria must never again go back to such dark days, stressing that public officers should learn to lead by the rule so as to avoid abuse of office by their spouses.

He pointed out that it was the husband of Mrs. Jonathan, who was elected.

The governor revealed that in his own case, he ensured that his wife knew her limits and he always told her she had no right to call any of his commissioners for anything, because the people voted him into office as governor, not her.

Amaechi challenged anyone, who had doubts about his performance in office, to go to Rivers State and see for himself or herself.

He also said all he did in the state were not for self-glorification but to bequeath a legacy for successive administrations in the state to sustain.

The governor added that 90 per cent of the people, who worked with him, betrayed him.

He further showcased his achievements, spanning all sectors of the state, wondering why the Federal Government was desperate about casting his administration in bad light even when he spent N105bn doing federal roads.

Amaechi pointed out that he kept a proper account of his stewardship and the books were open for all to see.

This, he said, gave him the courage to sustain the struggle, expressing joy that history would vindicate him in the end.

In the documentary, which featured some of his projects in the areas of security, works, agriculture, works, education, transportation, health and social development, Amaechi said the documentary left out some projects he would love to see documented.

Senator Magnus Abbe, who also featured in the documentary, explained how Amaechi pioneered the amnesty programmes through which unparalleled insecurity in the state was drastically reduced.

And Nyesom Wike instigated and fuelled Amaechi's quarrel with the first lady all for his inordinate ambition to become governor. In other words Wike cunningly and intelligently converted Jonathan's presidency to his governorship seat. Unfortunately most Rivers people are blind to this fact. During an exclusive interview with SaharaTV, Austin Oyinokor, the Media Adviser to Senator-Elect Buruji Kashamu, said that Mr. Kashamu said he wanted to kill himself only to prevent getting arrested.


Senator-Elect Kashamu has been accused by the United States of trafficking drugs through Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in the 1990s, and has placed an extradition order to the Nigerian government for his arrest, according to reports. Mr. Kashamu was held for several years in the United Kingdom on related charges, however he was released. Mr. Kashamu has repeatedly denied any involvement in narcotics trafficking, and has said that no extradition order exists.

In the early morning hours today, the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) surrounded Mr. Kashamu’s Lagos residence, and attempted to breach his front door. Since that period, Mr. Kashamu has barricaded himself in the bedroom of his house--threatening suicide if anyone enters his home.

However, speaking today to SaharaTV his Media Adviser Austin Oyinokor said the threats were “just to show that as a law-abiding citizen, as a responsible man who knows that he has a lot of followers and a lot of people that depended on him. I know that he will not take such an action. He just said it probably to show that he was ready to give anything to ward off any form of illegality.”

Mr. Oyinokor added by saying that, “we hope that all Nigerians and even the international community will prevail these people to...the part of illegality, the part of the rule of law, follow due process. This man is not running to anywhere, he has said it time and again; he is not in hiding; if he was running, they won’t meet him at home. Yesterday he was at work, and he went home like any other person.”

Oyinokor also accused Bode George’s wife, Roli George, who is the Head of the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) authorizing the raid to garner political points in the upcoming Buhari administration which claims that it will fight corruption.

Oyinokor claimed that the NDLEA siege was illegal because no arrest warrant has been presented.

“Our question is why would the NDLEA come for him [Kashamu] with hooded men and without a warrant of arrest, we felt that there must be a political undertone, we felt that maybe the disagreement we had in the PDP before the last general elections may have necessitated this kind of extrajudicial action because there isn’t any court order and there isn’t a warrant of arrest.”

Oyinikor also said that Kashamu’s spirit is very positive and welcoming the public to hear his side of the story.

“He actually said that I should invite the press, the whole world to come and know what is happening here, that they have come to illegally abduct him; we actually called them [Press], and that they should come report this illegality to the whole world.”

“He is in high spirit; all he is asking for is for the due process of the law to be followed; he is not entertaining any fear at all.”

Kano Government Drops Charges Against Child Bride Accused Of Poisoning Husband
Wasila Tasiu admitted to killing her husband last year by putting rat poison in his food, which also killed three other people and hospitalized 10.

The State prosecutor, Abba Lamido Sorondinki, told the High Court of Kano on Wednesday that the government has dropped the murder charges held against her.

Wasila, who married Umar Sani, was charged with culpable homicide after she admitted to killing her husband in 2014.

The State prosecutor also told the Court that, “I am heartily declaring the government’s position is to drop the charges against her, and that she should be set free.”

The case will officially be dropped once the presiding judge, Justice Muhammad Yahaya, issues a written or verbal statement adjourning the case.

Nigeria Governors’ Forum Turns Against Okonjo-Iweala, Demand Explanation For Missing $20 Billion

The statement expressed outrage, questioned her integrity, and demanded that she give an explanation regarding the missing $20 billion from the state coffers.

Governors attending Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum took aim at Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, in a statement released from the proceedings today. The Forum, presided over by its Chairman Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The statement expressed outrage, questioned her integrity, and demanded that she give an explanation regarding the missing $20 billion from the state coffers.

The Governors’ Forum statement is the latest development centered on the controversial PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) audit of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which was spurred by Lamido Sanusi exposing to the public the missing money. Sanusi, now the Emir of Kano, was sacked by President Jonathan for blowing the whistle on the mission $20 billion.

Governor Amaechi demanded action from Okonjo-Iweala on the missing money in a statement that “In the light of the facts that funds in the Excess Crude Account were last disbursed in May 2013, there is need for the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to provide explanations for accruals to this account from June 2013 to April 2015 which is estimated at over $20billion."

Governor Amaechi also announced that a Governors’ Forum Academy called the “NGF Leadership Academy” would be set up, and will be responsible for leadership development targeting governors and public officials.

Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State was also elected Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, which was also announced by outgoing Chairman Amaechi.

Governor Yari was elected by consensus to serve as Chairman for one year. He has been Deputy Chairman of the Forum but no one has been appointed to replace that role, according to reports.

The future of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum was uncertain in 2013 when it split into two competing groups. During the election, Governor Amaechi dislodged his opponent Jonah Jang, the Governor of Plateau State.

Almost from the first day in office Jonathan failed to grasp the difference between truth and falsehood. His proclaimed primary objective was to destroy federalism, states' rights and the unity of our country. Indeed, Jonathan has proven to be the great divider of our people than a uniter

Looking back through our history, Nigeria has been led by a series of heads of states and presidents. Some like Murtala Muhammed, Muhammadu Buhari the President-elect, and Yakubu Gowon left a legacy of service and wisdom.

Others of course, like Sanni Abacha and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida have been disasters. Majority of Nigerians would agree that President Goodluck Jonathan belongs to the latter group. History is, ultimately, the judge of one's legacy. Some who were judged great and others who were considered failures, their legacies inform our lives and guide us into the future.

Jonathan governed during one of our nation's darkest hours. He leaves behind a legacy of corruption, lies, and waste. In many ways he is the wrong person for the times – a man who seems not to understand the gravity of leadership in perilous times.

Taking office in 2011, he said: “My dear compatriots, … Together we will unite our nation and improve the living standards of all our peoples whether in the North or in the South, in the East or in the West. Our decade of development has begun … The day of transformation begins today.” … We must grow the economy, create jobs, and generate enduring happiness for our people.

Jonathan consistently pontificates that he's fighting corruption. However, corruption scandals involving many of his prominent cabinet members provides a glimpse into the reactionary politics, political division, and social and economic parasitism of his administration. Jonathan's administration is an epitome of corruption.

Since he assumed office in 2011, corruption has gripped and crippled all sectors: oil industry, pension commission, the police, the military, aviation, civil service, mint and printing company, name it. The monies involved run into millions and billions if not trillions. He promotes corruption by his actions and inaction. He surrounds himself with felons and proven thieves and thugs such as Femi Fani-Kayode, Ayodele Fayose, Doyin Okupe, Kashamu Buruji, Bode George, Iyiola Omisore, and other illustrious criminals. He pardoned his former boss the poster child of corruption, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.

Our foreign reserve account, which was $62 billion in 2008, is down to $38 Billion while the excess crude oil account, which in 2009 was $20 billion is down to zero. The domestic gas project aimed at generating power has gulped $12 billion by December 2014 and nothing to show for it. Jonathan remains silent till now on N155 billion oil scandal involving government officials, Shell, Subsidiaries in Nigeria. The money was paid on the order of Jonathan to Malibu Oil and gas, a company owned by Dan Etete, a former oil minister under late General Sani Abacha.

Ten billion Naira was expended on chartered jets by the oil minister Diezani Alison-Madueke. On top of the $20 Billion missing from NNPC accounts, Alison-Madueke was involved on royalties and signature bonuses and was ordered by PriceWaterhouseCoopers auditing firm to refund $1.48 billion to the public coffers. Stella Oduah former aviation minister, with taxpayers' money purchased N225 million BMW armored cars for her personal use.

Alison-Madueke on behalf of Jonathan bankrolled AIT $10 billion bribe to produce and air negative documentaries on leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) – Muhammadu Buhari, Ahmed Tinubu, and Yemi Osinbajo. Under Jonathan, the federal government's debt has risen by $18.40 billion (N3trillion) in the last four years.

Jonathan paid N7 billion bribe to Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the group to campaign against Buhari. The cost of Jonathan's campaign for the March 28 elections was a staggering one trillion Naira. In fact, by the first week of March, Jonathan had spent about N1.05 trillion.

In 2013,Trade and Investment Minister Olusegun Aganga said Nigeria lost N755 billion monthly to inaccurate measurements of exports. A man who embezzled N7.2 billion Police Pension Fund was only fined N750,000. Lucky Igbinedion's brother, Michael Igbinedion who stole N25 billion from Edo State coffers was fined only N3 million. The N2.5 trillion fuel subsidy scam still unaccounted for.

Jonathan believes the problem of corruption is over flogged. At the funeral of General Owoye Azazi, Jonathan said corruption was not the cause of Nigeria's problems. He was reacting to a statement by one of the officiating priests who had argued that corruption was the cause of all Nigeria's problems. “Most of the things we think are caused by corruption are not,” says Jonathan. “This is because Nigeria has several institutions that fight corruption.” The judiciary was not spared from corruption. Under Jonathan, Nigerian judges are to justice and the rule of law as Hitler is to peace and religious freedom.

During his administration, Jonathan embarked on reckless spending that benefits his wealthy elite of millionaires and billionaires, his cabinet members, political appointees, business associates, pastor friends and spiritual counselors and saw their ranks swelled and their fortunes fattened. The result is a social and economic polarization unprecedented in the history of our nation.

Jonathan's principal task was to police the yawning class divide, hiring the largest number of do-nothing political parasites, fund redundant agencies with overlapping functions with no objectives, no focus, no result. His inner circle of friends and appointees felt they were entitled to a life of luxury at the expense of the nation. This was part of the toxic atmosphere of corruption, poverty, hopelessness, fear, hatred, class division that hung over Nigeria under Jonathan.

But misuse of public funds is the true treason. For every Naira pilfered from the government an underprivileged child goes hungry. As a result of Jonathan's self-enrichment drive, pregnant women were denied the right to access medical care from hospitals. The sick, especially the vulnerable ones like senior citizens, children with special needs, and the infirm were denied the urgent medical needs.

Each day, Nigerians are greeted with a shocking distraction from their daily troubles with unbelievable news of corruption. For Jonathan, he has nothing to worry about. There was no reprimand for the perpetrators. Company CEOs, bank executives, ministers, political appointees, caught with their hands in the cookie jar, Jonathan did nothing to stop large caliber corruption charges, even at close range.

A writer once described Jonathan as a “serial liar.” Each opportunity he has to address the problems of the nation, he oozes out a bagful of lies. While majority of Nigerians are restless about where their next meal would come from, when civil servants are not paid for months, when six million jobs promised youths never materialized, when students protested against hiked fees, when civil and human rights organizations denounced the travesty of justice in the land, Jonathan and his crew clung to the mentality of broiler chickens which eat without stopping.

As we remember the waste and the ruins of the Jonathan years, we must remember that the function of memory is not only to register past events, but to stimulate human conscience. The future of our great nation can be different and it should be different. We must move from memory to action.

Until Eritrea can sort out its internal problems, it’s likely that the country’s numerous issues will continue. Due to rule by a single party — despite being a democracy — a suitable minority party that can successfully challenge for power is likely what is needed. The economy is expected to continue to stagnate, and the prospect of war in the region spilling over into the country’s borders are also concerns for foreign investors.

Mixed Metaphors: Hypertension In High Places By Sonala Olumhense

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, last week disclosed she suffers from high blood pressure.

Also hypertensive, according to her: Bashir Yuguda, the Minister of State for Finance, and Anastasia Daniel-Nwaobia, the Permanent Secretary.

This health condition is blamed on the stress of managing the economy. “The amount of stress in the Ministry is unbelievable,” Dr. Okonjo-Iweala declared. “Many times we are in the office until [one o’clock in the morning], looking for ways…to make payment.”

The Minister went further to disclose that an alarming 70% of the staff of her Ministry has the same condition.

Mercifully, she was speaking at the commissioning of a clinic belonging to the Ministry where, she said, “people can go and check quickly up when they start having headache before someone collapses.”

I think it is a mistake to blame the hypertension level in Finance on the mountainous challenge of counting money in an economy she has always declared to be in wonderful shape, and in which President Goodluck Jonathan lavished so much money on his re-election effort. The more important question is whether the same level of illness is true of the nation’s work force and its population in general.

For decades, including the past one in which Madame Minister has twice been part of arrogant, preachy governments, it is common knowledge that privileged government and party officials and their families have seen little wisdom in developing our healthcare system. Nigerians simply suffer and die.

Speaking of hypertension, the acrimony and shouting in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over its loss of the presidency continues. President Jonathan’s aides are at war with members of the National Working Committee; Jonathan is blaming governors and other party members, some of whom are blaming him for a variety of shortcomings.

Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has labeled party chairman Adamu Mu’azu a saboteur, and threatened to expose his collusion with the party that has pushed the PDP to the edge of suicide.

Meanwhile, Senate President David Mark has described the PDP as being in a coma, and hemorrhaging, pleading that the squabbling by party leaders could see to its end.

“Unless we halt the bleeding and find the necessary therapy, we may be heading for the final burial of the party,” he told the party’s post-election assessment committee last week.

He asked the committee to “unearth the remote and immediate causes of our misfortune and make recommendations that will enhance the future of the party.”

I find it amusing that the PDP claims it is looking for the causes of its collapse beyond its condemnable irresponsibility and kleptomania superintended by key men such as Mark himself. There is nothing to diagnose or recommend.

This is the point where I agree with Governor Fayose: the party’s chairman and NWC ought to accept responsibility for the mess, and resign.

Under the PDP constitution, however, Mr. Jonathan will now replace “Mr. Fix-It” Tony Anenih as chairman of the Board of Trustees. But that is the same Jonathan—who retains Fayose’s support—and who ran the party aground. If the party wants recommendations, here is one: follow through with Fayose’s prescription and escort Mr. Jonathan out completely.

Second: amend the constitution again and let the best candidate for the job assume that office: Patience Jonathan. Now, there’s a tigress capable of remolding the PDP in the proper image: her own.

Some wounds must be treated. Unfortunately, other wounds must be licked.

Last week, worried about the fate of the Igbo in the forthcoming government, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee headed for Abuja to face the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

There is no evidence they voted for Buhari. In fact, rather than vote for candidates of Buhari’s party, they enthroned characters of doubtful and dubious records. When the smoke cleared, it was clear something had to be done, and it appears some of the members advocated bowing and begging as a shameless new weapon.

And selling too, of course.

And so, the Caretaker Committee appeared before Buhari, and put President Jonathan up for sale. They told the incoming leader that the outgoing leader had deceived the Igbo about contracts for the Second Niger Bridge (SNB) and major federal roads in the South East, but that he had lied and tricked them for their votes.

For those who do not know, President Jonathan is a politician. But the way he handled the SNB issue, you might have thought he was the footballer JayJay Okocha as he dribbled his way to the Igbo vote time and again. He promised them the SNB in 2007 and again in 2011.

Even after the 2011 election, at a Town Hall meeting in Onitsha on August 30, 2012, he promised that if he failed to build the SNB before completing May 29, 2015, he would go on exile. In March 2014, he promised them the bridge…in 2019!

I thought the Igbo leaders who were licking their wounds in Abuja last week had gone to demand that exile.

But they were there to hawk blame and sell…somebody. In my view, they do not need Buhari for that. What they need are glasses. That is how you see a little more clearly when you are older, and spot fake or expired goods.

I turn to sport. Nigeria’s most successful contemporary Track and Field athlete, Blessing Okagbare, continues to combat the lame administrators of the sport in Nigeria.

Explaining how her team won the 4x200m gold medal at this month’s IAAF Relays in the Bahamas, she has said two critical things. The first: members of the team picked themselves, with no input from uncommitted coaches.

The second: she dismissed Nigeria’s refusal to nurture athletes domestically, preferring to recruit athletes abroad, and accusing administrators of “killing our grassroots section and home-based athletes”.

Finally, military sources are now revealing that up to 1000 women, girls and young children have now been rescued from the clutches of Boko Haram. Some 140 of the women are pregnant.

INEC Card Reader Exposes Electoral Fraud In Delta Governorship Election With Conflicting Records Of Accredited Voters

A monumental electoral fraud in the April 11 Delta State governorship contest has been exposed.
An impeccable senior staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja has told SaharaReporters that at the headquarters of the commission in Abuja, the Certified True Copy of Card Readers record of accredited voters showed that Card Reader accredited voters was only 709,700. This is contrary to the Delta State INEC record, which put the number of accredited voters at 1,017,796. This is significant because by himself, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, grabbed nearly 15,000 more votes all by himself: 14,980 votes.

Announcing the result of the governorship contest on April 13, the Returning Officer, Prof. Bio Nyananyo, said Okowa had polled 724,680 votes to beat his closest rival, Chief Great Ogboru of the Labour Party, who got 130,028 votes; while Olorogun O’tega Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) finished in the 3rd position with 67,825 votes.

Furthermore, Nyananyo said Okowa had won in 21 local government areas out of the 25, while Ogboru clinched the remaining four.

"Okowa, having won the highest votes in the elections, which was contested and having satisfied the provisions of the law is hereby returned as winner and governorship-elect for Delta,” the professor said. “18 political parties participated in the governorship election while there were 2, 044,372 registered voters and 1,017,796 accredited voters. The exercise recorded 931,808 valid votes while 24,913 ballots were rejected."

By the professor’s announcement, Okowa had 14,980 votes more than the number of accredited voters in the entire state.

"I can authoritatively tell you that the card reader usage [has] really exposed so many frauds as far as the governorship election was concerned in Delta state, the details of the results at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Headquarters in Abuja is at variance with INEC records in Delta State,” our source said. “The Certified True Copy of Card Readers record of accredited voters as transmitted by the card reader to the central data collation system is 709,700 voters while the records of Delta State INEC office is showing that accredited voters was 1,017,796."

This development at INEC Headquarters, our correspondent learnt, has given credence to the concerns raised by Chief Ogboru and Olorogun Emerhor that the governorship contest was marred by fraud. Both candidates called for an outright cancellation.

Speaking during a press conference shortly after Okowa was declared the winner, Ogboru said, “We have recorded series of irregularities in five councils including parts of Ethiope East, Bomadi and Ika North East. PVCs were brought in their hundreds and used to vote without being authenticated by the card readers.
"We are having mixed feelings about the elections and are documenting these observations. From the records collected from our agents we actually won in 15 local government areas, but the results announced showed otherwise."

Ogboru therefore called for the cancellation of the collation, saying that the people of Delta State could no longer accept the tyranny of a group of individuals in the state which began 16 years ago.

In the same vein, APC’s Emerhor also described the election as a fraud that had no bearing to the will of the electorate.

“A deliberate and well-orchestrated war was unleashed by PDP on voters in most parts of Delta North and Central to disrupt proper voting as much as possible,” he said. “In this wise, PDP strongmen and their security attaches working with thugs recruited for this purpose were deployed to seize results sheets, cart away materials or disrupt voting generally and particularly in strongholds of APC. A few LGAs/voting points were spared to serve as points to showcase purported free and fair election, and even at that PDP resorted to vote buying in such voting points.”

Describing how the plan worked, Emerhor said: “In allocating the votes to the parties, a deliberate attempt was made to put Labour at 2nd position in order to portray APC as weak or nonexistent in the state! PDP was given 79%, Labour Party 14% and APC 7%. This is to pull wool over the eyes of political analysts.”

And taking a swipe at the Labour Party, the APC candidate said: “Very soon, the Labour party, in their naivety, even though already calling for a cancellation of the election, will begin to gloat over their higher votes over APC. The truth however, is that these figures are not votes and we in APC vehemently reject the votes allocation."

After calling for the election to be canceled, both candidates took their case to the tribunal.

Abuja, Nigeria, 06 May 2015: In what appears to be an unusual step to demonstrate his leadership style, the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, has instructed police and military security personnel attached to him to respect traffic regulations during his movements.

In a statement released by his media team in Abuja, General Buhari said law abiding would be the guiding philosophy of his administration, adding “without leadership by example, the ordinary citizens would become copycats of the lawlessness of their leaders.”

The President-elect explained that the “arrogance of power, lawlessness and disregard for the rights and convenience of fellow citizens would have no place in his government.”

According to him, for leaders to inspire respect, they must obey the laws of country, adding that when leaders treat the country’s laws with contempt, they might send the wrong message to the citizens.

General Buhari lamented a situation where fellow citizens are punished at traffic points and public roads because of the “arrogant lawlessness of the leaders.”

He said in a democracy, leaders should not inflict inconveniences and other unbearable ordeals on the citizens for their own comfort.

The President-elect advised his military and police security personnel to be in tune with his philosophy of “bringing the rule of law in the conduct of leaders during their movements on public roads.”

A man has been convicted of raping a one-
day-old baby and two other young
children.
Stuart Young, 37, was found guilty of two
charges of rape and one of sexual assault
at the High Court in Edinburgh on
Thursday.
The details about of his crimes revealed
during the week-long trial were so
horrific that the jurors have been
exempted from serving on another jury
for five years.
His crimes took place between November
2008 and December 2013, in attacks which
temporary judge Paul Arthurson QC called
"truly depraved and despicable".
He began raping the baby boy when he
was just one day old, and continued his
attacks until he was three months old.
Young, from the Sighthill area of
Edinburgh, also raped a girl over a period
of years, beginning when she was six
months old and continuing until she was
five.
In July 2013, Young sexually abused a
nine-year old girl in the Stenhouse area of
Edinburgh.
Young pleaded not guilty to all the
charges, and denied any wrongdoing. He
swore as he left the dock after being
convicted.
His sentence was deferred by Judge
Arthurson to allow the court to obtain
reports about his character, with Judge
Arthurson saying he should "expect a
sentence to reflect your level of
criminality."
He will be sentenced at the High Court in
Edinburgh on 28 May.
Detective Inspector Douglas Moran, of
Police Scotland, commended the bravery
of two young girls who spoke out about
their horrific abuse, bringing Young's
crimes to the attention of police.
He added that the victims and their
families will receive specialist support to
help them cope with their ordeal.

Buhari, DSS Disagree Over His Security

State Services (DSS), to replace his Chief
Security Officer (CSO) with a new officer.
According to Frontiernews.com, as soon as
Buhari emerged as President-elect, the DSS
moved to replace his CSO, but the move was
opposed by the Daura-born retired
General Buhari. He insisted on retaining his
present CSO, AbdulRahman Mani.
