Zambia’s youngest referee Raphael Mbotela has qualified to officiate Football Association of Zambia FAZ games.

This is after the 18 year old passed the referee’s course he underwent in 2022.
Raphael Mbotela came on the limelight after he was handed a COSAFA invite for the 2021 Under 17 AUSC Region five Games in Lesotho.
At the competition Mbotela officiated the semifinal of the COSAFA U17 girls Match between Botswana and Namibia.

FAZ referees manager Aziph Banda has revealed that Mbotela can now officiate even super league games.

“Depending on how he performs he can officiate the super league even the ABSA games” Banda said.

Mbotela is happy to be a qualified referee adding that this will help him go further in his officiating.

What happens if a file can't be found?

I am trying to get my sister an international passport. After capturing I couldnt track her details for up to two months so I went back to check on the status and they said there was an issue with her file but her file couldn't be found.

Can we start a new application after capturing or what? The officers there appear stupid and don't know what else to do.

I captured 8 weeks ago and I'm yet to hear from them. Online tracking is still on Production as well. If you have time and live in town, you could go to their office to check the status.

AKPOHWOFADAYEN = Are you saying it literally means Wisdom of God? I know Oghene = GOD and that that is not part of the name so I am confused?

Because I've seen this reply made by you in an earlier posting Not sure if the way this blog comments is just repeating an old message reply of yours or if you are actually replying to me?

Anyway - again...please can anyone shed some light on the name and urhobo meaning of AKPOHWOFADAYEN?

I know AKPO refers to life / world...but cannot find any reference/link/meaning or explanation to the rest of the name...

i seem to find info of the name in parts like AKPO = life/world then OHWO = roughly/loosely means kind of 'provides' but nothing for FADAYEN at all!!

I was told once that the significance of the name means something like 'the world is jealous of you'? but that is not it literal translation

The South African Football Association (SAFA) President Danny Jordaan has revealed that SAFA will bid to host the Africa Women Cup of Nations in 2024.

South Africa hosted the tournament in the 2000, 2004 and 2010 with the Super Falcon of Nigeria winning all three editions in South Africa.


“As far as the Africa Women Cup of Nations is concerned, we [Banyana Banyana] have qualified for the 2022 tournament in Morocco [from 2 July to 23 July]. Our team made it to the final in Ghana [in 2018 where they lost to Nigeria on penalties].

“They are going to Morocco and we are hoping they will be in the final of this competition. Certainly they must qualify for the World Cup. On that basis, we have indicated to CAF we are keen to host the 2024 Women’s Cup of Nations. We will be discussing this matter with the minister of sport, Minister Nathi Mthethwa, and ask government to give us support to make that bid because it is not a once-off match, it is a tournament.

“Therefore we need to get government support for the bid to host the Afcon for women in 2024. I think we should have a significantly strong team by then to hopefully be in the final and win it,” he said
