Do not be decieved. An inverter for use at home must be able to convert DC-AC and AC-DC. What was posted above can do half of that, that is DC-AC but cant do AC-DC. That means you cant charge your batteries except you buy a charger, thats where it can be said to be penny wise pound foolish. Moreso, if you have to buy a separate charger, your inverter system becomes a manual one which will entail you manually switch your supply during power failures by connecting and discconnecting wires. You will have to do that your self and your system has to restart after doing your manual connections. With a complete inverter you dont have to move from your seat when there is power loss or gain from PHCN. Another downside is that when you continue playing with wires everyday, there are chances that you may mistakenly connect wrong wires or one day some one who does not know your connections while you are away can make the mistake then kabooom your inverter is gone.

Save yourself a lot of stress by going for a complete inverter which starts from 20k on Jumia.

Donot forget that your power needs must be calculated and crossed referenced with your budget before you buy anything. I see you mentioned desktop computers which consume alot, lets say 150w. Its also not advisable to go beyond 70% capacity of your inverter. That means you should limit your needs to 700w if you buy a 1000w inverter.

Thanks Adany01, i actually asked that question cos the said inverter doesnt look like ones i've seen. And the name "Car Battery Inverter" already called for questions about being used indoor.

The thing actually is... My main reason of getting an inverter is because of a 45w appliance i have that i need to keep on incase of lightout. Yeah, i know a couple of UPS can do that for me. But wouldn't it be nice if i was watching an interesting program on the TV and NEPA does their thing and i can continue with my Appliance working and as well enjoying my program. That was y i actually wanted an inverter instead of a UPS.

Please... Whats the least i could get a REAL INVERTER for.

Yes you can get an Inverter within that amount. This one is a car Inverter that also has provision for use indoors. It has no inbuilt battery charger and it uses 12 volts input to function. Its rated power output is 1000 Watts. You can get it for N8,500. Call 07066669834 if you need it.

IMO, when you say "MUST" have apps, they should be productive apps.

Productive in the users profession and normal daily usage.

For me, here are my own 10 MUST HAVE APPS

1. GMail - I just cant afford to miss my emails... Hell NO!
2. BBM, Whatsapp - Those are my business office for the moment. Got a lot of client hanging there,
3. Opera Browser - My Nairaland surfing app. If i hear say i no read NL one day!
4. Camscanner - If you dont have that app ehn...
5. LDOCE (Longman Dictionary Of Contemporary English) - Incase i hear one grammer wey wan scatter my head.
6. WPS Office - Doc/PDF Reader.
7. Unit Converter - I use this app for various types of conversions as i deal with Length/Distance a lot. A client gives description in CM but i need in Inches, that app got me covered
8. Zarchiver - I dont need to boot my PC to acess that Zip, Rar, etc file.
9. Reduce Photo Size - This app got my back when it comes to picture Resolution and Size editing.
10. SwatchMatic Pro or Color Grab - Every graphic designer need these apps.

Those apps below are must apps which i install before any Game, tho some of my must have apps already are built in the device, eg.
Keep - For keeping notes
Music player etc
