damiso:Lolozz what kind of red is that, 'winish' red? UK folks , always ahead. |
Okay Toonoisy and Stillfire lets shut this down. Enough already. Please oh |
Mindfulness:I must've made you very uncomfortable. Though my posts portray my personal opinion, still , they're all for fun too. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted zilch to start with so I do know how to ignore. The fact that we disagree on a motion doesn't mean things have to change btw us. I do enjoy equality threads, they are fun to read. What quite moment? Abeg. there's nothing to gain in threads like this but to have fun. You already greeted me , save it for Monday. Starting to sound patronizing. ![]() |
damiso:Look at you ![]() |
veave:No no no veave dear, she's referring to the wife. And NL autocorrect shait is not helping too. No vex. (((Hugs))) Onegai... I love that 3rd paragraph analysis die ![]() |
An 11yr old hockey player girl just left my doorstep asking for recycled products to raise funds for the team. I don't see/hear them ranting to the district MP or the league for ignoring their needs since they (kids) can infact get some funds through them (MP). |
Mindfulness:YALL just don't get it. You can't outrightly change the public mentality via repetitive ranting but can make changes within ourselves to evoke public change. Hope that makes sense. |
cococandy:You misunderstood that paragraph and quite a shame that's the only thing you majorly laid emphasis on. I can't help that. That this man came out to say this doesn't mean he has self esteem or marital issues. Or was brought up badly. He doesn't have a cogent point whatsoever, it's just a repetition and we are sick of it. That's an unfair way of shushing people who speak their opinions up. We should At least counter his points. Say he's lying if we think so.Well it takes one to know one. He needs to be seriously beaten up. Yes of course I agree society is no longer an excuse anymore. That's one piece of advice I think people need to leave this thread with. Do what you want (as long as it's not a crime) regardless of how others see it.Good. Still man is a social being and public opinion cannot be shunned by all since everyone doesn't have the same capabilities and strengths. That's is not a public opinion but a rehearsed load of crap the majority on this thread wants to put an end to and move to something important like DOING. What's the better solution to saying 'ignore' as if it's that easy for everyone than actually disabusing people's minds of some of the archaic beliefs that lead to such discriminations in the first place. It's not easy, life is not easy and fair to anyone. We have to build ourselves up in order to condusively live in it. Funnily, That was actually last night's teaching to my kids. As far as this thread is concerned now, everyone is saying don't listen to 'society' I.e those around you. But when folks get in trouble we ask them to consult a third party, An older one, a church leader, public forums etc who also happen to be part of this faceless society that we somehow think is dispensable at will. It far easier said than done.it's common sense really, when they're asked/told to intervene family elders, the onus is on them to seek wisely not their enemies, nobody is gonna do that for them. I for one have the strong will to do that but I noticed that I've always been seen as different, stubborn even. So I know not everyone can be like that.Uhh yes people can be like that, of course there's always an exception to every rule and that's what makes the world unique) and that's what we should be preaching. Not dancing around problems every single day like an oracle. Happy Sunday. |
taryour:Good to know, thanks sis, I need his booking office contact if you may, no rush. Thanks in advance. We thank God sis, life on a fast lane as usual. How are you and yours too. How's business. Pls do have a wonderful week. |
veave:Hehe e go clear for una eye when you have to make a decision between your kids expensive excursion fee or that very cheap acres of land in shangisha. ![]() |
Mindfulness:No problem whatsoever but yes misrepresentation of what really seem to be our core issue as a county is a bother and unnecessary rant. |
Thank you Jesus. |
Mindfulness:I believe in change too... But Abusing the Internet (like OP) will revoke the global influenced populace to believe our genuine problems as a country. Societal pressure is a global problem. The q is what are you doing to make a change? Wishing you the same. |
cococandy:Talk about it aka Solutions aka your abusie awareness thread. Yes that I can relate with. not whining about rubbish like OP. Yes op needs to be beaten not only shushed for whining and crying foul over what is supposedly meant to be tackled e.g ask people's opinions for solutions. If anyone is having a marital /self esteem problem as a result of their upbringing, they should come forward and say so rather than injecting their frustrations online on daily basis. Nobody is stopping anyone from acquiring and reaching their lifelong goals. SOCIETY IS NOT AN EXCUSE, NOT ANYMORE. NOT IN 2015. |

Happy birthday |
Veave , as presva articulately explained , people delay childbirth for many reasons. Once those precious ones start rolling, you barely have time to execute other important plans on time. I understand some people see it lightly but a big deal to vast majority of people nowadays. So, when couples make plans, the onus is on both party to stick with it. It's not a joke. Bringing a child to the world is a decision made by BOTH not one. She made the wrong decision. He went overboard. They should sit down and talk about the next plan, how to raise that child. Happy Sunday. |
Tearoses, Tayour... Any idea if Dele Taiwo still exist in Nigeria? Thanks in advance |
Timbuktou:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Gender_Gap_Report Refer to the key. Equality being ranked 1.0, the highest overall ranking is 0.7 (North America& Assie) ... Yes it's a problem EVERYWHERE, but I don't see other countries crying about it, THEY TACKLE IT FOR CHANGE.
|
Mindfulness @your last post. Common! I expect much from you , people will always talk, people will never stop, never. And this is not only peculiar to Nigeria alone, its everywhere. Or you want to change ALL the naysayers mentality? Good luck on that. |
CRY ME A RIVER!! Being a human is hard in every continent ![]() Who's stopping who from what? Society, fûck society. When A LARGE % of an average naija woman's lifelong dream is to find Prince Charming to sweep off her feet and GIVE her the world after her tertiary education?? What do you expect?? Let them change their gimme gimme mentality and let's see if things won't change for better as a whole. I knew my goals and aspirations right from my teenage years , never heard of the F word in my entire life but my firm upbringing shaped my Independent mentality and funnily men (from anywhere) find this very impressive and want to be associated with you as a lady. So them being threatened ? I don't get it. So I'll continue to rant my NL mantra to women wether y'all like it or not, kpatapata you call me names, so here it goes: GO GET YALL HANDS DIRTY AND STOP WAITING FOR A RICH MAN TO CURE YOUR FAMILY'S POVERTY. |

Mindfulness:Huh? Honey, are you being sarcastic or for reals? What 'things' are you referring to about Nigerians that WELL TO DO oyinbos don't place much value on , if I may ask? |
babygirlfl: armyofone:LOL You ladies will not kee me with laughter ![]() Don't mind them jare. |
babygirlfl:You ehn Morning ... Choi I need to hump into bed, late here. All yours .. As you wish sweetheart. |
NigerianBelle:So what's wrong with making a 100G raw gold necklace a major convo piece, aint that alone not worth talking about? You mean, You really eavesdropped on a group of Nigerian ladies ladies to cull this statistics for a fact? Are you a man or a woman please? ![]() As far as Western media, please. These are not reflections of real life. [s] That would be like me calling out Nollywood movies to back an argument [/s].you missed the point. A dodo knows they're all an act.. But the shows whole concept/portrayal is about women affairs. simple. Whether you'll like it or not, women (scholars inclusive) put exorbitant value on Fashion and Look. 'will enthusiastically jump at @Trump Jnr compared to one raggedly dressed noble prized author ![]() |
